Dwight Schultz, Gideon Emery Confirmed for Wolfenstein: TNO

‘Howling Mad’ Murdock and Poseidon are coming to Wolfenstein: The New Order.

During my QuakeCon interview with MachineGames Creative Director Jens Matthies, two voice actors for The New Order were confirmed: Dwight Schultz and Gideon Emery. Dwight, who voices Nazi commander General Deathshead, and Gideon, who plays Allied solider Captain Fergus, aren’t strangers to the video game voice acting world, especially the latter, as Emery has lent his voice to several dozen titles.

Dwight Schultz is best known as “Howling Mad” Murdock from the iconic 80′s action show The A-Team, and he’s contributed his acting chops to games like Dragon Age II, Gears of War 3, and the Skylanders franchise. Meanwhile, Gideon Emery has video game acting street cred in spades, with the God of War franchise (where he voices Poseidon), The Last of Us, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, and Assassin’s Creed III on his resume.

Along with the voice acting work, both Schultz and Emery donned motion capture suits for the cinematics in The New Order.

Check out Game Front’s preview of Wolfenstein: The New Order, and look for my full interview with Jens Matthies early tomorrow, as our QuakeCon 2013 coverage continues throughout the week.

Every single time I see this guy’s name, I always read it as Dwight Schrute until I look again.
