Halo Wars, the red-headed stepchild of the Halo franchise, has a new gameplay trailer available. Unveiled at E3 2007, the trailer contains roughly half a minute of gameplay footage that shows warthogs jumping a canyon, UNSC and Covenant troops in battle, scarab walkers and more.
The real-time strategy game, designed by Ensemble Studios, takes place before the events of the first Halo, allowing the player to control the crew of a UNSC ship, the Spirit of Fire, as they battle Covenant forces. For those who want RTS gameplay with Halo characters (I thought these were at opposite ends of the gaming spectrum), this is your game. Gamers still seem divided over its merits, but we won’t know until we play.

Trailer looks pretty fun and if I had a 360, I’d definitely pick it up.
