E3 2007: Will Wii Fit Keep Nintendo On Top? (New Images)

I think the answer is yes. Nintendo has found another way to tap into unchartered niches in the video-game market. The Wii was already an all-around casual family system, and now I think it will be more appealing to non-gamers than ever before. The only thing they absolutely have to do is make more units available in the stores and crank out more games.

With Wii Fit, I think the Nintendo Wii has the potential to become the centerpiece in every family’s free time. With the Wii-motes, we were already getting a pretty good work out, but now we can really get a full body workout with the system. They haven’t named the “balance board” yet that comes with Wii Fit but it definitely looks like a winner with tons of fun activities. More images follow the article break.

This looks good. it sure will keep the Wii popular and with people of all ages. especaly all the reports of how fat people are getting in North America. Some gamers will find this a good way to have fun and exercise, as well as rehabilation and other related tasks. like the wiimote, the wii workout board will be popular.

This looks like fun but unfortunately like all exercise equipment the people who need it most will probably be the least likely to use it.

I’m not buying a Wii until they bring out an amazing Kendo simulator.

I wonder why they never show an overweight person on it.

it’s kind of like when you go to the gym and it’s just skinny people working out that could actually afford to eat a few extra meals.

Oh, yeah; if I wanted to exercise, I’d just go out and exercise.
