E3 is coming. Those words use to hold a great deal of excitement. That enthusiasm has dwindled recently, when the ESA announced that E3 had been greatly reduced in scope. No more booth babes, no more financially destructive stage shows. Does this lack of entertainment also mean a lack of content? We will see soon, as the ESA has posted their schedule for this year’s E3.
Tuesday July 10th
8:30PM – Microsoft Press Event
Wednesday July 11th
9:30AM – Nintendo Press Conference
11:30AM – Sony Computer Entertainment Press Conference
2:00PM – EA Press Conference
3:15PM – Activision Press Conference
4:30PM – Midway Press Conference
5:45PM – Konami Press Conference
Thursday July 12th
8:30AM – Take Two Interactive Press Conference
9:15AM – THQ Press Conference
10:30AM – Ubisoft Press Conference
1:30PM – Namco Bandai Press Conference
3:30PM – Disney Interactive Press Conference
Looks like most of the big players will be presenting. It strikes me odd that Sony and Nintendo decided to do their presentations back-to-back, with Microsoft being the only presenter on Tuesday. While I try to stay optimistic for what might be unveiled at this year’s expo, a part of me realizes that one day I’ll have to tell my kids how much better E3 was, “Back in my day”.
