E3 to Stay in LA Through 2015
In a move that will surprise absolutely no one, the ESA has reached an agreement with the City of Los Angeles to hold E3 in its smog-filled environs through 2015. In a press release filled with verbal back-slapping and mutual congratulations, Mayor Anthony Villaraigosa and ESA CEO Michael D. Gallagher were both very much on message.
L.A. is the “entertainment capital of the world,” which makes it a good home for video games (“a dominant force in the global entertainment marketplace”) and their loud, lewd, lurid convention. $40 million in revenue for the city of Los Angeles is just icing on the cake.
