EA Brings Reality to Sports Video Games

LATimes has all the details on EA’s newest innovations to realistic game play. The July 17 release of NCAA Football 08 will feature real-time weather conditions. If it’s storming in Columbus, the Buckeyes will be scambling for footing. Players can play in real-time weather conditions provided by the Weather Channel, or pick their own.

Madden NFL 08 will also have it’s share of new content.

Players will be able to get real-world sports scores and “SportsCenter” radio clips from ESPN, plus video highlights from the National Football League.

Madden is slated for release August 14. Both titles will be available for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and Sony Computer Entertainment’s PlayStation 3
