Hey guys any chance on any more updates on this as I love the game but would love to see a Renegade 2!

Still play, and have played it since the beginning. A sequel has always been a no-brainer to those who appreciate the game. The balance of defend/attack and teamwork/heroics (ie gameplay) has carried the multiplayer from the beginning. Updated graphics would sell the game to a new generation, even with no other changes.

goddamn it i really love renegade and i still play the RxD variant now

i really wish there would be one in the RA2 universe, playing as a tesla trooper would be awesome

I loved the implementation of the orca in Renegade. The vehicular style of the game was awesome and ahead of its time. Though the single player was a weak point (with rather weak story and graphics) the multiplayer was what made the original shine.

I absolutely loved renegade and wish I was still playing it. I would buy any sequel. I only hope they devote some time to security. Hackers with all their cheats are what killed renegade from getting more traction. I played for 4 years and finally gave up when my system crashed due to renguard(blackhand’s anti cheat engine)

I checked the link shown above and it was dated 2002 so it is OLD news. Hopefully we will see both Renegade2007 (Original Renegade on a new engine) and Renegade 2. Interesting if we have both games available at the same time. I have to wonder out loud which will be the most fun!

Well I for one hope they are wrong. Renegade is still being played and is still fun BUT the engine is dated. A Mod team is working on Renegade2007 for the soon to be released UT3 engine. Those idiots at ET missed the boat if they did not look at a Renegade 2.
