EA Shutting Down Some Old Online Games


Yep, it’s that time of year when EA shuts down a bunch of online services for games. Yay! Here’s what’s going down on August 11:

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat™ for Xbox 360
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat™ Demo for Xbox 360
Medal of Honor Airborne™ for PlayStation Portable
Medal of Honor Heroes™ 2 for PlayStation Portable and Wii
NASCAR® 09 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (North America)
NCAA® Basketball 10 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
NCAA® Football 10 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Need for Speed™ Most Wanted for PC and Xbox 360
Need for Speed™ Undercover for PlayStation Portable;
SKATE™ for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 10 for PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii

Lots of them are just demo servers which is good, main one I guess is ‘ARMY OF TWO’.

Most are demo server? There are 17 games listed total and only 4 are demos.
Another site said that GameRanger will continue to offer it’s servers for NFS Most Wanted but that’s for PC gamers only.

I don’t consider Tiger Woods 2010 to be all that old. Not all of us buy into the “You must buy EA sports games every year.” shtick. There are some big names on that list, not just demos, that you just can’t shrugg off. I still play Battlefield 2 *alot* on PC, so I feel for those who still play BF:MC on consoles.

THIS is why I refuse to buy EA or buy products offered through Origin. EA has a horrid reputation for longevity and support.

so sorry that battlefield 2142 is such a great game and bf2 I had so much fun; unless thae new games coing play the same kinda way or as good it will not be worth buying any of the ea battle game.you or ea will loose customers.
