EA’s Danger Close Hard at Work on New Medal of Honor Title

It turns out, despite all the doom and gloom folks were spouting after the game‘s release, that the Medal of Honor reboot has done pretty well for itself, moving 5 million copies since release. That’s a success, even by the arbitrary standards used by the games industry.

Because of that success, Danger Close — the studio EA rebranded because the only thing they’re ever going to get to make until they get another name change are military shooters — has a new military shooter to work on. And, of course, that new military shooter is another Medal of Honor game.

The announcement came via a blog entry by Greg Goodrich on medalofhonor.com. Here’s what he said:

Yes, Danger Close is currently working on the next Medal of Honor.

Blah blah sentimental stuff blah blah.

Yeah, the blog post is a couple hundred words long; no, there’s no info on this new Medal of Honor except that they’re working on it. But that’s OK. For now, I’m just happy that the folks at Danger Close get to keep working, because it’s nice to see people have jobs. And because I think they were on to something with Medal of Honor, and so I don’t mind seeing a continuation of their vision.
