Elder Scrolls Online: How to Reset Skill & Attribute Points

Don’t worry about experimenting with optional skills or rebuild your avatar from the ground-up with the Rededication Shrines in Elder Scrolls Online, allowing you to reset skill or attribute points.

It costs a little bit of gold, and you won’t be able to reach these special shrines until reaching the early-to-mid game content, but if you’ve royally ruined your character build, there’s no reason to delete and start from scratch. See which cities to visit and what to look for in the quick guide below.

How to Reset Skill & Attribute Points

Skills and attributes can be reset at special Rededication Shrines, located in relatively higher-level zones for each of the three factions.

Each of the Rededication Shrines feature three small statues to interact with. One will reset skills, one will reset attributes, and one allows you to “marry” other players with a Ring of Mara.

To reset skills or attributes, you’ll need to donate gold by using the statue. The higher your level, the more expensive the respec will be.

Rededication Shrine Locations

Note: Rededication Shrines with skill/attribute respec stations are only located in the third tier difficulty locations for each faction.

  • Aldmeria Dominion: Travel to the city of Elden Root in Grahtwood.
  • Daggerfall Covenant: Travel to the city of Wayrest in Stormhaven.
  • Ebonheart Pact: Travel to the city of Mournhold in Deshaan.
