Elder Scrolls Online Launching New Loyalty Program

Bethesda has announced a new loyalty program for The Elder Scrolls Online.

The new program, announced in a posting on the game’s official website, will begin in September and reward players who have been consistently subscribed for at least three months with unique in-game content. Initial inductees, for instance, will receive a High Hrothgar Wraith, a “vanity” pet that players can use to show of their “dedication to saving Tamriel.”

This reward will represent only the beginnings of a program that Bethesda aims to “keep expanding over time.” In turn, it has already confirmed that another reward for six-month subscribers is in the works. While recent numbers would suggest that The Elder Scrolls Online isn’t doing terribly, even with a downward trend in MMO subscriptions, this could probably still be taken as an attempt on the part of the game’s developers to encourage existing players to stay and new players to join.
