Ellen Page on Feminism and Beyond: Two Souls

Ellen Page did a reddit AMA (“ask me anything”) Q&A session today, where she answered a number of questions regarding her career and talked about her work on her new film, The East, with Alexander Skarsgard.

Posting under the moniker “iamatinycanadian”, Page expressed that she was happy to be involved in David Cage’s upcoming game, Beyond: Two Souls, which also stars Willem Dafoe.

“Making Beyond was an incredible experience,” wrote Page. “I think what David Cage is doing is really remarkable, the first of its kind and I feel grateful to be involved.”

Beyond her projects, Page spent much of the time sharing her feminist views with reddit at large. Page wrote that it was important to her to be involved with projects where the girl is in charge of her own destiny and is both honest and well-written, a stance which may say a lot about the material in Beyond: Two Souls.

Page is still taking questions, so be sure to head on over to the reddit AMA thread here.

Feminism is the belief that both genders can be ‘equal’ by favouring one over the other. Please stop pandering to this failed stance just because you think it makes you look progressive and trendy. It’s tokenist garbage founded on a self-loathing guilt complex.

LOL, the feminist thing is tame compared to the lovefests this site posts occasionally.
