Enslaved 2: Odyssey to the East

A month after freeing the slaves in the first game. Monkey and Trip search for a safe haven for them and the newly freed slaves. The world is still full of mechanical monstrosities and is still unsafe for people to live. They discover that the machines have reactivated and are still enslaving humans for some odd reason. Monkey sees one of the machines enslaving a group of people and ends up fighting it and disabling it. Trip then hacks into the machine and discovers a signal being received by the machines ordering them to enslave humans. She discovers that the signal originates from the East, on the other side of the world.
Monkey and Trip, in order to fully free humanity from these machines, decide to head to the East. However Monkey is reluctant to go back for unknown reasons, however Trip is adamant in going and so they do. Monkey, Trip, and some of the former slaves hijack a slave ship in order to cross the sea. While on board Monkey starts talking with Trip about his past and how he was born and raised in the East. While discussing his past the ship is attacked by a giant flying snake robot that lets in small robots. Monkey fights off the smaller robots throughout the ship, jumping around and doing his thing. He then heads outside to fight the flying snake robot. While in the process of defeating the robot, he destroys part of the ship which forces them to crash land into a desert. Luckily they still manage to get across the ocean. Unfortunately they are welcomed by desert shark robots, one of which takes Trip away to a local slave camp. Monkey fights his way to Trip fighting the sandstorms and the robots within it. During the time they were away Trip was able to get information from some of the slaves on where they were going to be taken. The location given by the slaves and the origin of the signal were one and the same. When Monkey finds Trip he breaks her and the other slaves free. However as they escape they are attacked by more desert shark robots, and Monkey now has to fight them off in order to defend Trip and the slaves.
After the battle Monkey and Trip head into the jungle. Monkey starts to recognize the location and that they were headed in the direction of the city where he was raised. As they walk toward the city he explains to Trip the reason he left home was so he could escape the family business so he would have no responsibilities. When they reach the city they discover that it is unharmed by robots and everything seems perfect. They are welcomed by Monkey’s brother, Dragon, who is now King of the city. Monkey failed to mention to Trip that he belonged to a royal family and that his responsibilities would consist of ruling an empire. Dragon explains that his elderly father was overcome by the sadness from monkey leaving that he died, causing Monkey to feel heavy guilt for leaving. Trip explains that they are looking for a signal that is controlling the robots. Dragon says that they should rest first cause of their long journey. During their sleep Monkey and Trip get attacked in the middle of the night by assassin robots. Monkey defeats them and comes to the conclusion that something isn’t right. They head outside in search of the signal which leads them into an underground cavern. They discover a boy hooked up to a large satellite machine. Dragon discovers them in the cave and makes the boy send robots to attack them. He explains that he discovered that the boy can speak to robots and control them, and that he can control the boy with a slave helmet. By hooking him up to the machine he can control the robots worldwide to enslave humanity to serve him. After being overpowered by so many robots Trip and Monkey are forced to go into the underground sewers to escape danger. There they find a group of escaped slaves ready to rebel against Dragon. Monkey prepares an assault on Dragon and faces him in battle in the throne room, while Trip is with the boy trying to disable the helmet. Monkey defeats Dragon and Trip removes the helmet off the boy. Monkey gets the boy to make the robots free the slaves and to destroy themselves afterwards. Monkey speaks with Trip saying that he accepts his responsibilities and understands what he must do. He is surrounded by the freed slaves, sits on the thrown, wears his crown, and sighs. Monkey freed the slaves and is now king.
