‘Enter the Freeman’ Half-Life Fan Film Looks Like the Real Deal

The production values of “Enter the Freeman,” a Half-Life fan film shot over the course of two days for about $3,000, are pretty stellar — especially considering it brings a video game monster to life in a fight with Gordon Freeman.

The film was written and directed by Ian James Duncan, who says that the whole thing was shot in a cottage in Hollywood, standing in for the staff quarters of Black Mesa. We’ve got the movie embedded below, but you should also check out Duncan’s YouTube Channel, where he runs down a bunch of the film’s features, such as how the filmmakers were able to keep to such a tight budget, and how they created Freeman’s HEV suit.
