Epic Old School Zelda Artwork Uncovered

Occasionally, the internet likes to take a break from spewing forth new information and media by giving us something old, but so incredibly good. Someone on LiveJournal named “studiojfish” recently unearthed a treasure trove of artwork for the original NES version of The Legend of Zelda that appeared in Nintendo Power long ago. Actually, from the looks of the picture, these might have been used to promote the second game. Still, these are some pretty epic images of everyone’s favorite boy in green fighting some familiar baddies. Much as I love the Zelda series, I almost wish the games would go back to the original concepts like this. Or at least make Ganondorf back into a giant pig-monster thing. Be sure to check out the rest of the images by clicking the link (no pun intended) below.

Ganondorf is still a big pig monster thing. Play Twilight Princess, you pansy.

@gtp0rong: As God mentioned, Ganondorf can become a huge pig or boar in certain games (including Twilight Princess). I don’t know which is his real form though, the human or the pig/boar. Either way, it’s always one hell of a battle.
