Epic Says Be Patient When Trying to Claim Your Free RAAM’s Shadow, Gears 3 Season Pass Holders

A hiccup on Xbox Live today has prevented some Gears of War 3 Season Pass holders from redeeming their free copies of the RAAM’s Shadow DLC pack, but it appears that developer Epic Games is on the case and getting the issue resolved.

According to a Twitter update from Epic Games’ Community Coordinator Stacey Conley, Season Pass holders who were having trouble should be able to restart the game and see their “free content” indicator right now. But things may still be slow — Conley warns the servers are a bit backed up with the distribution of the DLC right now, but Epic is working on getting the content out to everybody who requires it.

RAAM’s Shadow (which we previewed and then reviewed), runs at 1,200 MS Points ($15), but if you snag the Season Pass for 2,600 ($30), you get the first four Gears of War 3 DLC packs for free. So far, only the Horde Command Pack has been rolled out.

Is the Season Pass working for you? Let us know in the comments.

Started up the game, got the notification, clicked to download, and now there is nothing in my active downloads. Checked storage and there is a 2 gig placeholder there… Idk if I’m in a DL queue or if it’s currently DLing or what :(
