Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise Gets New Release Date

Your conquest of the new world will have to wait until January 14.

When Paradox revealed the first expansion for Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise back in November, it was given a December 11 release date. If you’re a fan of the stellar grand strategy game, you’ve likely noted December 11 came and went without a trip to EU4′s new world.

But it’s coming. Paradox announced the new release date today and even put Conquest of Paradise up for pre-order on Steam. You’ll save 10% off the $15 price if you pick it up early.

The new dev diary below will give you an extended preview of the expansion, and here’s a brief synopsis of what you’ll be getting into:

Europa Universalis IV: Conquest of Paradise allows you to send your ships off to the West to discover a new world, unlike any you’ve seen before, with a completely randomized American continent. The expansion also makes it possible to play as a Native American nation and master the federation mechanics, as well as unique national ideas, buildings and events. You may also take command of a Colonial Nation, declare colonial war, or even strive for liberty from your motherland.
