European Ratings Board Tackles Deus Ex, Likely Coming to PSN

The Pan European Game Information board, or PEGI, has rated the original Deus Ex, suggesting the game is on its way to a downloadable place on the Playstation Network — at least in Europe.

The newly posted rating puts gives Deus Ex an age rating of 16 and states that it’s coming to the Playstation 3. The first game released in the Deus Ex series and the direct sequel to Deus Ex: Human Revolution previously was released as a Playstation 2 game way back, so it’s likely that it’s being pulled to PS3 as a PS2 classic downloadable title.

The rating came through on May 1, according to screen caps, and it isn’t some holdover weirdness for last year’s DXHR creeping back into the mix. That game received an 18, so Deus Ex’s 16 further suggests it’s a new release of the title.

So be patient and you might end up with a console re-release of Deus Ex here in the states sometime. If you’d rather play it on PC — and really, who wouldn’t — you can snag it from GoG.com or Steam right now, no waiting. It’s definitely worth it.
