EVE Online Reveals Extensive Ship Rebalancing for Upcoming Retribution Expansion

As CCP prepares for the December 4 launch of Retribution, the 18th free expansion of their popular space MMO EVE Online, more and more details are emerging. This week, the devs released a very extensive explanation of the latest ship rebalancing that will arrive with the new winter expansion. To say the changes are complex and in-depth would be understating it, but that’s EVE for you.

In addition to the ship changes, Retribution will also roll out a number of new features that support the expansion’s theme of consequences. This includes a revamp of the Bounty Hunter system and a new flagging system called Crimewatch to let players know when other vessels they come across have been engaged in illegal activity. My favorite part is the floating billboards in space that appear near stargates advertising the latest dirty rotten scoundrel that needs to be brought to justice by the righteous…or by mercenaries willing to open fire on any vessel for enough credits.
