Star Trek Online: Season 7: New Romulus Introduces New Controversy

What was hailed as an innovative content update for Perfect World’s scifi MMO has turned into a player revolt. The update was designed to appeal to max level players with new endgame content by expanding on the Fleet system (STO’s version of raids) introduced in Season 6. But adding an endgame reputation grind and a new planetary zone couldn’t make up for the stealth nerf of reducing the currency reward from the very popular end game missions.

Players are up in arms over this change and some have taken to cursing out the devs in Klingon on the official forums. We are counting the hours until the “working as intended” message gives way to either a detailed description of the imbalance issues around the previous system or a belated “oops, that’s a bug that we’ll hotfix asap.”
