F2P Command & Conquer Beta Starts in First Half of 2013

The upcoming free-to-play Command & Conquer game will be going into beta during the first half of 2013, a beta that will last longer than any in the franchise’s history.

A message posted on the official website reads:

“As planned right now, the Beta will start in the first half of 2013, and will be the longest running beta phase in franchise history.”

The message goes on to explain that the team is deliberately letting the game fly under the radar, allowing it to gain renown on its own merit rather than through a marketing blitz. It reads:

“We’ve decided to actually let the game speak for itself, instead of starting the typical marketing noise you normally would expect. That being said, it might be a few more months before we reveal more information – we don’t just want to tell you about the game, we want to show you.”

Sounds like we won’t hear much about C&C until 2013.
