Fable III Will Contain 460,000 Spoken Words

fable-3-box-smallNot 460,000 different words, I would assume, although there are enough words in the English language for that to be possible. Anyway, that adds up to 47 hours if the words were spoken continuously, which is pretty cool. This comes courtesy of Lionhead audio producer George Backer, speaking at Develop today.

They did so much wordage in order to make it so you don’t hear the same crap over and over from AI characters, but I would bet money it’ll happen anyway. But it’s a noble goal nonetheless.

Backer also said you’ll recognize some of the voices in the game, like John Cleese, Sir Ben f**king Kingsley and Stephen Fry. That’s also cool. This game, which is called Fable III, comes out on the 360 and PC October 26.
