Fallout 3 Devs Offer No Comment
Bethesda’s Ashley Cheng wrote a recent blog entry on the Game Informer Fallout 3 Article. Blog reader and long time Fallout fan Doveri asked Ashley Cheng, a question on the minds of many gamers following Fallout 3 game development.
Droveri: Ash, it did reveal new things, quite a few new things. Are the staff now allowed to speak of the things mentioned? OR just in a way if they had read the magazine, and comment solely basis on the article?
Ashley Cheng: Sorry, but no one should be commenting on the article or any specifics about the game. Don’t worry – by the time the game comes out, you’ll have all the information you need to decide if you want to play it or not;)
This is on the whole a disappointment for Fallout fans. The many unanswered questions and doubts raised by the article will only feed the rumor mill grinding out speculation and assumptions about Fallout 3. It also shows a certain lack of value for constructive feedback from their fan base.
Operating in a vacuum is never a good thing for a franchise that is so hotly anticipated, but maybe Bethesda has sat, watching and lurking the last year or two, quietly composing public rumors and thoughts into an action plan and they don’t need the input at this point. We’ll have to wait (and pray) for more information.
