An illegal tech-demo for Far Cry 2 has supposedly been released via a Chinese site and made available for download.
Before you get overly excited, please be well aware that I flat out refuse to post the link to it for you. Now, that we have that bit of motherly concern from me out of the way, I will instead post for you the supposed specs for the game.
I plan to play Far Cry 2 on my PC, and considering the “recommend” specs for the game are a bit expensive, I find that mine is fine the way it is with an Athlon 64 3200+ and a nVidia GeForce 7900 card which runs anything I slip into my disc drive just perfectly. Therefore I refuse to upgrade just so one game can look the way it is suppose to. Also, if I need a new processor just to run the game, I guess the console version will have to suffice.
Far Cry 2 is said to need at least an Athlon 64 X2 4000+, a Core 2 Duo with 2.8 GHz is recommended. For the graphics acceleration you should have a Geforce 9800 or a Radeon HD 4870.
Take this for what it is until confirmation comes from Ubisoft.

Those specs seem ridiculous to me. Especially “For the graphics acceleration you should have a Geforce 9800 or a Radeon HD 4870.”

It was most likely from a Hong-Kong based website and Hong-Kong actually governs itself, but rely on mainland China for foreign relations and military support.

9800? That’s a little too high.

Yea the specs are fake too…
No way you could run something with a 9800 recommended on the current-gen consoles without making some serious optimizations.

9800?? with that card… you shouldnt see the rough edges on the screen picture!..
so prolly a geforce 7 card will do for minimum.
