Far Cry 3 PC Version to Launch Simultaneously with Console Versions

According to an interview conducted by Rock, Paper Shotgun, Far Cry 3 won’t experience one of those common painful delays between the console and PC version releases. This is most likely because, as lead writer Jeffery Yohalem puts it, “…Far Cry has a huge PC fanbase.”

This is obviously fantastic news for PC gamers everywhere, especially those who’ve had to watch their console-playing buddies enjoy titles such as Assassin’s Creed II (another UbiSoft title) and Batman: Arkham City months before Ezio and the Dark Knight ever made their way onto PC monitors.

If everything goes according to plan, Far Cry 3 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 will release on September 4th (6th in the EU), 2012.

Call me cynical but hasn’t Ubisoft said this about pretty much every Multiplatform game they’ve released in the past few years and yet still delayed the PC version right before launch?
