Fight Trademarking Common Words with the Candy Jam

King.com (Candy Crush Saga), the folks causing many an exasperated tweet over their trademarking of the word “Candy” and their silly attempt to block Stoic’s trademark of The Banner Saga over the use of the word “Saga” are going to get some sticky sweet trademark trolling justice.

Introducing the Candy Jam, a game jam where there is one goal: make a game involving candy and using the word “candy” as many times as p0ssible. The anonymous organizers are also giving out bonus points to all those who throw in the words “saga,” “scroll,” “apple,” “edge,” and “memory.”

Cheers to the folks who put this together, and if you want to take part, the deadline for submissions is February 3. Submit your Candy Apple Memory Scroll Saga creation at the Candy Jam website.

Quiet agree with this it all needs to stop!
Candy is a life experience not a commodity.
And as for Saga its been in our life’s from year dot, this King company is causing the very thing they are trademarking a complete and utter stupid saga! I hope they fall on this. Problem is most housewives play there silly games. Which are a simple revamp and copy of the original concepts from popcap games and others like them.
