Hey guys, I'm back! It's been too long, I know, I apologize... But I am back for now and that's all that matters! Well, that, and the fact that I bring files with me! Up first is another texture package from JulioC!First I shall give an overall statement on the production of these textures, quoted from the readme:
1) Take the skin and make two variations, a very bright one (over exposed) and a very dark one (under exposed).2) Combine those two and the original file to make an HDR (High Dynamic Range - wider array of colors, contrast, brightness, etc.)3) Post-process it in Photoshop: sharpness, colors, levels, additional things, etc.4) Compile the mod as a .pk3, zip it up, and upload it.
Sounds simple, no? But sometimes simple things can be quite effective. Is this the case? Read on to find out!The first character that has had a texture upgrade is Boba Fett. To be honest, the dark parts look way to dark, but the light parts look alright. Teams skins have had the same process applied to them, and have the same drawback of looking a bit too dark.Next up is the cultist. Imagine the default cultist with all his clothes desaturated and darkened, with what appears to be blood and dirt all over them, plus a desaturated and partially cracked face with sith-style eyes, and you'd have this skin. It actually looks pretty cool in my own personal opinion, but I wasn't fond of the hands not matching the face. Red team skin is almost the same as the default skin, but with a bit more red to the clothing. The rest of the skins for this model appear to be the default textures with the quoted process applied to them. Now onto Desann. It seems that he has been almost completely desaturated, with some red on his head and some yellow-orange on one of his arms and belt. Team skins are the same as default with the exception of a bit of red or blue on them, depending on the team. And of course, they have had the above process applied to them. Then we get to the Jawa. This one has only had the above process applied to it, and seem to be lacking any changes to team skins. And here comes Kyle! Desaturate his clothes and apply the above process, then add some dirt to his face, and you've got this skin. Team skins simply change the shirt color and the stripe on his pants to red or blue.Moving on, we get to Mr. Racto and the human mercs. They all have had the same process applied to them, but the merc has had his clothes desaturated as well. Team skins for the merc simply add in some of the proper colors to the clothes. The Reborn_New model's default and team skins have been upgraded with the above process as well, and appear to have been shot in the chest a couple times. The Shadowtrooper appears to have been completely desaturated. The above process seems to have been applied, but to a lesser degree than the others, as the dark parts aren't extremely dark. It appears to have had a cool texture applied to the armor though. Team skins have the proper color added to the head, back, hands, and legs. Honestly, I think that all this one needs is color to the force crystal in the chest. Finally, we have the Stormtrooper. It's a bit hard to tell if the above process was applied to this skin. Why? It's covered in what appears to be blood and dirt. Team skins are the same as the default skins, but with stripes of color on it, and the officer skin's different from the default skin is simply the shoulder pad. Honestly, I liked the original Stormtrooper better than this one.To be honest, the Reborn skins were my favorites of the bunch. Too many of them had their dark parts way too dark for my tastes. But, that's just me, and others may not agree. Best way to tell is to give it a download and see for yourselves!Bot Support: Yes (Defaults)NPC Support: Yes (Defaults)New Sounds: Yes (Defaults)Team Support: Yes
