For more details on what is changed, please read below. Notes: The upgrade will work for the Microsoft Windows 95/98/2000/ME versions of Armada II (US, UK, and German). Saved games from Version 1.0 of Armada II will not work with Version 1.1. New Changes:Adjusted the power of Borg Cubes for better balance Health bars of ships in the ship display now display the color of the ship's shields: green for full health, red for almost depleted and blue for no shields. Added a metal cost to creating a fusion cube. It will now cost 750 metal to form the fusion cube. It will cost 1500 metal to form the Tactical Fusion cube. Increased max zoom-out in strategic view from 1500 to 2200. Added 'F' as hotkey to bring up Formations menu. Added a left-click interface mode. Left click will give orders and select, while right click will be to deselect. Species 8472 fleets using the bio-pulse conduit now share damage (e.g. 50 points of damage to one ship gets dealt out as 10 points to each of 5 ships in the fleet) when the frigate is targeted.Multiplayer/Instant Action Enhancements: Improved the game's Artificial Intelligence with numerous tweaks. Added an option to disallow map downloads, or only download after asking. Minimaps will display immediately after map download. You can recrew a station while life support is down. To save a multiplayer game, press CTRL+S. To load a saved game, you can choose it from the map selection screen in multiplayer. Added a slider for ship (not station) build times. Added a slider for global unit cost. Added a slider for map depth. Added a Slower Physics button. This will cause larger ships to turn and accelerate more slowly, more in line with the physics of ships seen in Star Trek shows and movies. This will affect Federation, Cardassian, Romulan, and Klingon vessels. Per fan requests, added an "Early Upgrade" techtree, which allows the ship upgrade facility to be built immediately after the first research facility is built. New Fixes: Eliminate the warp jumpiness of the AI. Your own ships will not attack your fleet. Fixed fireball explosions. Fixed Radeon 8500 performance issue by disabling vertex buffer flushing for Radeon Optimizations for path planning system. For a complete list of changes, please see the Armada II 1.1 Patch Readme at the end of the patch installation. The readme will be available in the root directory of the Armada II folder after installation.

suggestions as always (either here, or on the Fleet Operations forum). It is a work in progress, so not all sections are complete. New versions will be uploaded as I write them. A special thanks to the Fleet Operations team for their hard work and enthusiasm for Star Trek.
side note, the author also followed all the submission instructions to the letter, which is so helpful (and unusual, unfortunately) that I think this deserves special recognition and an elevated rating. -Freyr
Insurrection, but it is actualy based on a ship seen in First Contact attacking the borg cube near the start of the movie. This is a fast and manouverable search and scout vessel, and comes with its own installer to make it easyer for you to install.

six hundred maps is not really that much. No, this pack has more than two thousand maps. Yes, thats 2000, not 200, not 20 and not a typo. This contains, as one might expect quite an impressive number of maps. I might suggest that if your worried about disc space that you unzip it to a different folder before dropping it into your /bzn folder! It should be noted that the majority of these maps have been unavailable to anybody that has not spent years in online gaming. The gaming community shares maps through the ingame downloads system, so there is a fairly Darwinian process for maps, lots of the ones here are not likely to have been seen to much my the majority of the gaming community let alone the modding community that visits the site. Indeed, one problem is that two thousand maps is quite a lot. Luckily, having throught of everything there is also a "lite" pack on the site already which contains a sensible number (thats only a hundred and something) of the most popular maps, as played by the online gaming community. You really ought to be downloading one or the other, possibly the other first and then this once you get fed up with the hundred or so "best" maps.
the saucer section, and the necels are just intreguing and that gives it its quality value, and what make this ship so great. It looks excelent and is another great ship to have in your game ;) Download!

put close to each other so the battle begins as soon as you get in. Each player must start to clear the grays ships before they blow up and destroy your base while trying to get away from the enemy so they can rebuild again using the Shipyards around you. The only way out is though a Transwarp gate which there is only one inside shipyard haven so use your recourses wisely. Why Caged II the players not as close to each other and are around the side of the Cage inside of course. Also it the batter one of the cages to play with the A.I well that want I think anyway I sure your make your own mine up.
by the Zero Hour team (the readme for this set indicates they\'re ALSO formerly of ZH lineage), and while the saucers aren\'t quite as rounded, the ships themselves are every bit as nice. This also includes Milkshape files, admiral\'s log pics, wireframes, build buttons, and pretty standard .ODF files. Nothing flashy here, really. But also nothing that really sets them apart from the aforementioned ZH set. It\'s strange to see two sets of these ships within six months of each other when we\'re just screaming for new content here. I mean, we always need new models for both those with high-end anti-aliasing juggernaut computers as well as barely-running-stock low-end computers. I just really hope that people start turning in new ships (even kitbashes) soon. It\'s all we can hope for, really.
it? ;) Its not an end of the world challenge and all the files that you will need are included, and the ship itself does look excelent. Download now!
know how should to refer to a better read-me. The ship itself is a little "old." I heard that the origonal author, Terradyhne, is making a newer version of the ship, but this is the best until then. Full team colors included.
realized that they have the wrong size.
As you can see, this updates the textures. It also now includes an ODF, for those of you that dont have the knowlage or are too lazy. Or something. Anyway, this is a great ship for the futuristic federation fan.

Borg textures. [- Pizza the Hutt]
Well, actually it was 2005. :P Never mind, I appreciate it when authors still take care of their mods after so many years, no matter how small they are. Here is the description of the old version:
This is the Soyuz Class made for Armada II by Pizza the Hutt. It is seen in the TNG episode \"Cause and Effects\", when the Enterprise is stuck in a time loop, after the U.S.S. Bozeman unintentionally travels 90 years to the future. Basically based on the stock Miranda from SFC with a few alterations and additions. Quite a nice ship.
- TParis
secondary hull to speak of. This single-nacelled design isn't a common one, and Gene Roddenberry and the original series' production crew definitely preferred even-numbered nacelle groups, but the Larson class design came along a while thereafter. This kitbash by Pizza the Hutt is made from FahreS' TOS era ships. Note that you will require FahreS' TOS weapons pack in order to get this working. Worth a look.
backup is recommended.
is quite funny.
and faithful to the original model :)

follows: Phoenix Variant (this being the USS Phoenix from TNG). Bonchune / Farragut / Sutherland Variant (this being the "General Nebula") - such as those seen in DS9 & Message In A Bottle. Melbourne Variant (though not the official name, this is often what it is refurred to as). Anyway, with the addition of an extra Variant created by EO himself, the other two have been seen and are to make a nice addition to the game. This also comes with a handy auto-installer. - SSA *Note: Some screenshots borrowed from Forum Images due to better quality. Hope you don't mind EO ;)

time. Looking at the Enterprise J briefly seen in the Enterprise episode in which is starred, I'd say this is a close resemblance, or at least a very god one concerning the issue of limitations of quality due to this being Armada and not Bridge Commander, for example. It still looks good, especially as an Enterprise. Part of the Monarch set, the "Monarch Class", "Enterprise J" and "Monarch Refit", all three ships can be in your game at the same time (though you might want to change the odf for this ship to include the line about it being a hero, so it stands out a little more) which I think allows for more versatile gameplay. In terms of the performance of the three craft though, all are very powerful but this one against the Monarch refit would be very close. Whilst the J loses on other aspects, she is strong in others including system hitpoints. So, whilst she might not have as much hull life, if the J got a lucky strike into the Monarch Refit's systems, she would win. The only way to really try this out would be to put them against each other...which you can only do if you've downloaded them!

that I had for a post-nemesis Federation starship. I designed her to be a light battleship, but in keeping with Starfleet tradition, I class her as a heavy cruiser. The general specifications are that she is about as long as a Sovereign-Class and made to resemble late 23rd century styling.

FleetOps website. Please visit the official FleetOps forums to report bugs & balancing issues and to obtain technical support. Grab the latest FleetOps patch 3.12 from [file="113371"]HERE[/file].
I guess some of you have been waiting some time for this - the patch with the longest development span since the release of Fleet Operations 3.0 is now available for download. You thought this would be 3.0.8? You are wrong. We have decided to make it 3.1.0 instead. This major sub-release of version 3.0 does includes a number of important features and gives us the foundation for some exiting future content we have in development for you. Despite the changelog speaks mostly for itself i'd like to highlight some of the additions with this patch. The good old ingame interface, which has been largely untouched since Fleet Operations 1.0 was released in 2003 now finally got it's deserved update. The new interface is not just a new "skin" but also has gotten some technical updates. It is now possible to select up to 30 vessels at a time instead of the previous 16 limit. We have also taken on the inflexible cloaking system that Armada 2 provided us. Instead of having just one level of cloak that is always detectable by any sensor station, we now have different stages of cloak. That is quite comparable what you find in the shows where some races have cloaking devices which can be detected far more easily than for example the ones being used by the Romulans. 3.1.0 features also some important balancing changes. We have dug through a lot of input regarding balancing that you have made in our forums and combined some of the best of your ideas in this patch. Thanks for all your input, enjoy 3.1.0. Map Makers: Please note that there have been changes to the bzn file format. That means, previously made maps can currently not be used with 3.1.0. That does not mean your work is lost. Your maps created for 3.0.7 have to be patched. Info on how to do that will be updated here soon. 3.1.0 is a full install. A previous installation of Fleet Operations or Armada II is NOT required. An incremental patch from version 3.0.7 is not available. [- DOCa Cola]
Stormbird. When I completed and released the TOS Adversary Pack. I was not able at the time to include this ship even though I very much wanted to. I am happy to report this ship will now be available for service with the Star Empire. There are many TOS Starfleet ships available here at A2Files. It is past time the Centurions here were given an addtional Warbird to oppose the ruthless machinations of Starfleet. Here it is. Complete with everything needed to place it into your A2 game. Install this at once! Go forth to win glory for the Empire!
Worth a look.
in it's own little archive and then substituting the modded files for the originals without overwriting them. Once you then disable the mod it removes all of the modded files and packs them back in the archive and replaces the original, stock files. The usefulness of this scales up with multiple installations, simply by virtue of not needing them. I currently have 16 Armada II Installations for a wide variety of released and in development work. Using this tool would allow you to remove all of the separate installations and have all of the mods installed on one installation, and only enabled when your using them. If I were to use this it would save slightly over ten gigabytes of space. - Freyr
the psychonic blast or the holo-emitter. And then there's the phase cloak, which means that you can't even see it. And as far as benevolent special weapons go, the special energy shield emitter is pretty much the best there is short of the Federation Nebula's repair team. Dan1025 has turned his attention to this Romulan starship, using the base of the departed K7A's model and giving it a revised, darker texture more in keeping with recent Romulan mods. The detail is greater and the colour matched perfectly to the other Romulan ships available. And as always, the details in the mod are all there, as are the comprehensive installation instruction we've come to expect from Dan's mods. Definitely worth a download.
suggestions as always (either here, or on the Fleet Operations forum). It is a work in progress, so not all sections are complete. New versions will be uploaded as I write them. A special thanks to the Fleet Operations team for their hard work and enthusiasm for Star Trek.
allows you to install as map units the two principal opponents faced by Kirk s Enterprise in TOS. The Klingon D-7 battlecruiser and the Romulan Warbird. They are complete with everything needed to install them fully into your A2 game. This is one of the few times I have done ships and is the first time I have ever ported something over from another game format to A2. After some serious file-trawling, I feel the orginal Bridge Commander mods these are based on represent the best examples of the D-7 Battlecruiser and the Vas-Hatham class. The orginal creators of both mods captured the spirit of these ships perfectly. StarFox1701 s TOS weapons enhance these vessels spectacularly and allows for the most accurate re creation of both ships available for Armada 2 to date.
it's from FahreS, so you know it's good stuff. Black holes and other fine-detail mods of this sort are the kinds of things we need most right now! There are plenty of seemingly-trivial aspects of A2 which, if properly modded, can keep this game engine useful and useable for quite some time to come. There's no limits to what we can mod in this game, it seems, aside from those in the hard-coding. A2's never looked better, and this mod (and others like it) remain as the reason why.
and all the concepts just fell out onto the keyboard. I do not consider this to be anything other than the first installment of what I've just decided to call...The A2 Fighter Project. Why release Romulans first? Because the Rommies deserve to be first at something other than being a target. This mod gives the Romulan Star Empire two fighters which are built by the Romulan starbase. They are balanced and adjusted to my personal install. This means they may not work as well in yours. The Interceptor is intended as a defensive weapon and the Scorpion as a fighter bomber. Both of these are designed to work with A2PP X installed since that is how they were created. I have included the appropriate physics files for people who do not have/use A2PP X. The A2PPrfighter***.odfs inscluded herein are new and not part of the original A2PP X release. I wanted the Interceptor to move slightly differently from the other fighters I have in game already. The Scorpion comes with a modified version or the Romulan Plasma Torpedo I included in A2PP X, which is based upon Tain_Ebaran's Plasma Torpedo mod.
Definitely worth checking out.
could share my techniques with the community.
Hopefully this will contribute to the level of quality and number of new mods we get here. Lately there hasn't been much from new modders. Ideally we want to keep people active, and tutorials are just one of so very many ways to do that.
designs available, with an interesting setup bearing a more-than-passing similarity to that mighty class of vessel. Dan1025 has put some time and effort into this conversion, and does it ever show. The level of quality of the textures is matched (as always) by the thorough details: admirals' log pic, build button and wireframe along with separate .ODF entries for the weapons. In short, as Federation battleships go, you couldn't ask for much better than the Victory class. Download this one right now.
downloading this. I called the previous version of A2PP the Final version. I thought I had done everything which really could be done with the Armada II physics and weapons files. While I watched a TNG episode (Season 1 Finale and right after the Season 2 opener) one evening, I realized there was still a great deal more which needed to be done. The grand old lady deserved much I had not given her yet. In A2PP Final, I did a spot review of the files rather than comprehensively examine and test all of them. This was a mistake. Errors were overlooked. Contradictions with the intent behind A2PP were ignored. In short, I did a very poor version of my signature mod. Consider these mistakes rectified with this version. Everything has been checked. The movement files have been tested to destruction. Anything which did not conform to the original ideas I had in mind has been ruthlessly adjusted towards where it should be. Or ruthlessly purged. Weapons ranges have been adjusted yet again to take advantage of the new movement and a few other things. Now, your ships will move like they should have in the first place when I began all of this so long ago. This plays and looks very differently from what you have grown accustomed to. Line for line, I think this is the best version of A2 Physics Project I have yet produced. As some of you are aware of, I began a thread in the Forums concerning starfighters and starfighter combat in A2. I had some ideas about this and I wanted to see what other ideas all of you had. Those of you who participated in the discussion, thank you. Your ideas allowed me to really think about how I wanted fighters to act in Armada II. Included in this package is a complete set of physics and weapons files for fighters and fighterbombers. They use Dan1025 s Peregrine and Javelin Fighter mods as a basis. They do what I think fighters should be capable of in Armada II. These are a good start point for future A2 fighter projects. I am quite sure someone will take these and improve them. So, here it is. The latest version of the, ahem, "simple little ODF mod" I am justifiably proud of. As usual, lots of high-powered talent gave me help, advice, and guidance. Mostly, I sat and listened to them and tried to make their ideas work. All of the really good ideas included herein are theirs, of course. All of the mistakes are mine.
Note that this version corrects the previously uploaded version. Congratulations to thunderfoot006!
new files, using exactly the same name), it's here in tutorial form if you ever need to find out.
work into one easily installed file. State of the art graphics, new physics so the ships turn and bank instead of spin and a devastating new campaign AI; it's all here.
This comes in an auto-install, which will overwrite your stuff and generally make a mess of your install if you don't know what you're doing. Worth a look for you Star Empire fans.

are not replacement but are an alternative for the Borg to have additional ships in their fleet (sphere and cube variant). Models were renamed and are the original bcruise1 and bbattle1 in Armada2. Both of them were retextured and rescaled.
promises: an exclusive focus on the time period around the original series. These ships were designed by Jason Colbert, at the Starfleet Museum site. They\'re... odd by TOS standards, but they fit. The Avenger class destroyer and Predator class destroyer are here in awesome quality. And since it\'s from dinosaurJR, you know it\'s going to be good-- and complete, too. Admirals\' log pics, build buttons, wireframes, and quality textures on a decent-poly .SOD file for its type. Get these original-series beauties today.
further reduced to 2532. Previously reported mesh problems have also been solved. Furthermore, this version comes with a whole new set of textures, far more detailed than before. They look just as good as on the show, although they look better in darker maps. While they also have no speculars, but nonetheless, they are more accurate than previous textures. But aside from the model, new weapons (thanks to Ragnar) give a more authentically SG-1 performance to this ship. Missiles and railguns alike are now this vessel\'s armaments, just like you\'d expected. peanutbutter points out that \"I have made the missile contrails blue, otherwise, it is difficult to distinguish raigun fire from the missiles, and like i had mentioned in the last readme, i am a lazy guy, and can\'t be bothered to go through the sprites tutorial.\" Either way, they look pretty good to me. There\'s also a speed boost special weapon, with its speed decreased to avoid going in constant circles. It\'ll only turn the crew into chunky salsa that way. wink This one\'s a must-have for SG-1 fans out there. I know you\'re many, and so I\'d hope will be the number of downloads for this awesome looking model.
more than a simple removal of the conflicting files from this download. I\'ve said it before, I\'ll say it again. \"No wireframes, no buildbuttons, but admiral\'s log pics and new weapons\". There, now I feel better. Worth a download, if you didn\'t have it already.
at the mysterious race, - the terrifying Scimitar, enemy dreadnought, - the first time Romulans have fought WITH Starfleet since, well, possibly ever. Nobody\'s touched the Scimitar in a good long time, with the exception of the recent Reman Rebellion full race addon (which is really, really good). Now k_merse gives us both the Scimitar and the Norexan class Imperial Romulan Warbird Valdore, both seen in Nemesis. And has he ever done both Shinzon and Commander Donatra proud. The results are pretty spectacular, and totally worth the otherwise outsize download. Most of the size of what you get (in a fancy self-extractor) is new sound files for the Scimitar AND for the Valdore. All that in addition to all the normal stuff you\'d expect in a mod like this, like wireframes and admiral\'s log pics. The Star Empire should be proud. The only downside? No new special weapons. Both the Valdore and Scimitar rely exclusively on stock weapons. And the Scimitar hits well below the belt compared to what you might expect from the Enterprise-E\'s technical readouts in the film. She\'s a predator, all right. Get this one today.
I am a strong beleiver of the saying that a picture speaks a thousand words so take a look at the pictures that are attached.
worth adding to your installation. Because it's only upgrading textures and not replacing anything it doesn't interfere with multi player compatibility.
better.... nice job
as if an Akira class starship mated with a Fek\'lhr class starship.... and maaaaan, this baby\'s UGLY. The design actually reminds me a fair bit of the Terran Dominion / Confederacy Behemoth-class battlecruiser from Blizzard\'s StarCraft. But other\'n that, if you want one, now\'s your chance. - the Kid

futile.\" Don\'t you just hate how the Borg go parading around the Galaxy thinking they own the place? Well, now your going to hate them some more as their closer to that domination...with some help from yours truly! I present to you Borg Upgrade Mod V2.0! Things aren\'t as they seem. Everything from the previous version of this mod is here, so no need to get the old one. But now, both the Fusion and Tactical Fusion Cubes have Transwarp capabilities and my very own “Remodulate Shields” special weapon! You\'ll find this VERY useful in the heat of battle, or if you just feel like assimilating a small scout on your day off! I\'ve also replaced the Transwarp Gate with something a little more modern. worth having in game. The P\'Vash is designated as a versatile, mid-range attack ship designed to support the larger warbirds. Often used for escort missions and border patrol. The S\'Vash Class Heavy Cruiser is a refit of the standard P\'Vash, with improved shielding and additional weaponry. This well armed vessel is an ideal cheap alternative to the larger warbirds, and packs almost as much firepower. Both are practically the same except the \"neck\" module connecting the bridge or head of the ship to the main hull is different. The aft or main hull of both ships is pretty class to be honest. The shape and design is definitely Romulan, the only odd looking part beging the platform on the topside of the aft which is not seen on many Romulan ships but then again there is a first for everything. This topside platform looks well and definitely adds to the feel and look of the vessels. Flanking this module is two blank hull areas with what could be two shuttle bay doors, although there appears to be one main door at the very back of the ship. The two differentiating hulls are not too disimilar. The P\'Vash has a neck that is similar to the Griffin Class, while the S\'vash\'s counterpart does not contain the twin \"necks\" design.. All in all, a great set of ships.. Get these now - IKS
really cool and the execution is very good too. When all cubes..err sorry Spheres :) are fused together they look like those molecule models you have in chemistry class... It looks odd but it also looks intimidating.. The only thing I can be a nit-picky little so and so on is the textures.. Not the stock sphere hull textures but the fused texture of the centre (fusing) sphere uses the fusing texture which to me takes away from the appearance of the ship. Other than that it\'s a great concept! I would definitely recommend it! - IKS
is why they'd have big honkin' embryos sticking out of a Galaxy class. Like, try to blend in! Maybe they won't notice we're not Starfleet! I don't know. Either way, this one includes the ability to separate your Galaxy class so that one passive embryo goes with the saucer while the other follows the stardrive section into battle. I don't know, maybe they're a married couple. Sometimes this ship ain't big enough for both of 'em..... Or something. I don't know. Regardless of what I think, if you play Species 8472 and miss your Galaxy class explorers terribly, this one's for you. Get it if you want it. BUT YOU NEED TO HAVE THE PATCH. Otherwise the MVAM required to separate the saucer from the stardrive won't quite work. There's only one separator in the game and you'll have some mod work to do if you expect it to use that. Follow the instructions. They explain better than I could. (speaking of doing things better than I could.... those were the screenshots 1_beta_1 sent me, so you'll have to squint a fair bit to make it all out....)
Ship Info handlers. Changelog:

New Selection-SOD (192 Polys)
Changed Race-Icons
New moving Cross
New Shipinfo-Icons
Blue Font colours
Bugfix for Project Blue: Level 2
The Grid Select button handler is cool. Shaped like, well a cross between a Circular Saw Blade and a circular wind vein (I actually forget the shape\'s name), it certainly is a departure from the stock Grid Select. The Race icons are also different as they appear to have a chrome effect which is better than the plain white stock ones. Ship info icons are also changed, with similar chrome effect done to them (the shield icon looks like an Anti-Virus logo icon). All-in-all it\'s a nice little package from FahRes\'. Note: Level 1 and 2 are not required for this but would be a good thing to have to match these. - IKS
the grey AI’s base. I have added some dead ship and stations and have change some of the player start points around so now you are not to near each other if you don’t like that kind of thing. I feel sorry for the two players at the top unless you’re a good A2 player in which case you would no want to do. Story Well done Admiral you have retaken taken the Delta Wormhole but will you be able to keep it. Sorry about my spellings
Did you see what he did there? He asked you a question, Admiral. I know, I know, the suspense is such you can hardly contain it. Maybe you should download this map to break the tension.
considering that the much smaller version 1.01 of this mod was released just a week ago. More than doubled in size (from about 40MB to 90MB) this pack brings visuals of your Armada 2 installation to a new level, featuring: - new planet and moon models - new map backgrounds - new asteroid fields - comets - new map editor assistant - and much more. What I don't like about it is the loss of online compatibility to stock 1.1 installations and the quite confusing installer, which could need some tweaking. But it's still must-have for all the other players out there  . - TParis Note: It's recommended to install this on a clean 1.1 version of A2. Those who are already using 1.0 or 1.01 of Midnight Universe have to remove these versions before installing this in order to make it work properly.
similiar to a venture and runabout combined, but has nacells on the exterior. It comes in 3 variants, so be sure to read the readme to fully understand installation.
but oh well - one or ten more won\'t hurt. Download if you want :-)
like the Onidus Class before. Onidus isnt even a word  but uh, its creative at least. download if you want.
nice ship overall :)
of Armada II.
sneak sniping attack on your mining ops, if you have this baby in your ranks. This advanced mining station has got impressive defence capabilities (along with it\'s Type XI Phasers);

Sensor Jammer - it may be Romulan but if you can suck in enough enemy ships to attack your mining base this weapon can render them useless in combat giving you a perfect chance to ambush them with a Fleet hiding somewhere nearby.
Shield Emitter - If your Fleet fails miserably in ambushing the Romulans give them a blast of this :)
Corbomite Reflector - The Torpedo stopper. This will ensure you last considerable and sustained attacks by superior forces.
Cool mod, keep up the good work andyx100  - IKS
glide in at the right moment, dispense a few bursts, then flee, not much was known about this destroyer-come-cruiser-come-whatever...doesn't stop it looking awesome though. Part of Starfleet's radical redesign of ships, the Norway really does flip up previous Starfleet design, whilst, somehow, maintaining the old designs. It's all there; the bridge, the separated nacelles etc. and that's what makes this mod great, the fact that it faithfully recreates that little seen ship that appears for under a minute. Complete with every file needed to get it working (interface and odf files etc.) this Norway holds up even now against newer models in its quality. Looking very "I'm here to get the job done" she fits in nicely just below the Akira, but somewhere around the Intrepid/Steamrunner level, so if you want to slot it in specifically into your Federation fleet, you have a bit of flexibility when it comes to the tech tree, although she is very much a first-shipyard ship. Another masterpiece by Deemon, this is an essential inclusion to any Federation fleet and, does so with one heck of a bang.
a build button and basic wireframe. it included an hp_map so you can add your own special weapons(no advanced battleship should be without them). This is a lovely addition to anyones fleet. Download Now.
be built from the advanced shipyard. This defiant will be like the original prototype on DS9, designed as a military heavy destroyer with plenty of durability and power. Due to the new textures, I have eliminated the antimatter mine weapon, because it wasnt working (I probably need to import the A1 version), although it has sovreign quantum torps and a cloaking device. I also added a improved sovreingn odf and the old Enterprise textures from A1. For some reason both of these models look better to me than the A2 versions.
Sounds good!
maroon, green, silver/grey, light brown, and black. It is up to you to designate which shipyard should be played by who. The model quality is very good and the shipyard's design is very easy on the eye. In my opinion, the black/purple (possibly Dominion) shipyard is the best but all of them are just as good as each other. Great work  - IKS
that the map is no longer an open space battleground which helps in defending you base. In correlation to 7rock, the four corner positions are still the easiest to defend but this time they are even easier as the asteroid belt cuts off your nearest opponent. The right and left centre positions are also much easier to defend as the only direct threat will come from the centre position and you can be sure the player there will be busy defending against the player at the other side. The centre position imo, is much more difficult as the asteroids have cut off the four corner positions from the left and right centres hence the centre position will undoubtedly get besieged from both the left and right centre positions. Also the wormholes add a bit of chaos as they are not uniformly placed on the map so deploying a few scouts to probe the wormholes\' placement is a good start to conquering this map. Cool map, but I like the first \"open space\" version ;) - IKS
unified one, so playing this one is far better because the starting fixed placed teams will be placed properly. Again, like most of StormBlade\'s maps this one is large (50000 in dimension) so those who experience lag while indulging in large battles in normal sized maps should have issues here. Still this one is a good map for tactics as it really does test your patience trying to get across a map so large. - IKS
quality of the model is very good and the concept of this type of vessel is commendable. The textures are better this time , the ship now has uniform textures all over the hull - well just about It does actually look like a feasible replacement to the Nebula (and the Nebula's role as a cheaper Galaxy variant) although it probably wouldn't be as cost effective as the Nebula in relation to the Galaxy as it does have most of the Galaxy's ship features and shape. Tips/Hints: Because the mod doesn't contain any odf for the ship itself, I would suggest duplicating the Galaxy's ODF and renaming it neutron.odf. After doing that, I would suggest tweaking down the ship values to be a bit more balanced.. Good ship, better than the last version ;) - IKS
Why? Nobody knows and its unlikely anybody will ever know at this stage. The Shivans do posses a scary technological advantage over the GTVA. When the GTVA thought that they had technological superiority over the Shivans in the last shivan war the Shivans responded with a hundred juggernaughts, each capable of near total annihilation of the GTVA. They shattered the GTVA fleet and punched through to a populated world which was being franticially being evacuated by the alliance. As the alliance was busy collapsing the subspace nodes out of the system the Shivans then collapsed the star, causing a supernova which decimated everything in the system. The GTVA survived, at a cost of most of their fleet and an inhabited system. And now, you have full control of the Shivans devastating arsenal. On the matter of balance, the ships of the FS universe are possibly a tad overpowered for a stock game so they are probably better paired off with either a custom race you have modified to match the sort of firepower the FS universe throws around or the GTVA, which is the other FS race available for download. For screenshots, see here.
itself is a fairly nice one, good textures are used, and the model appears to be fairly smooth. This one would probably serve as the 'earlier' of the three ships, being the weakest in strength. I may be wrong, that is just my take on it. :) - Ash Two of Three: [file="80785"]http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Columbia_Class;80785[/file] Three of Three: [file="80786"]http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Woden_Class;80786[/file]
model is a fairly low poly one. The shape could do with a little work (seems a bit off to me) but other than that, a good attempt ;) - Ash Note:
This is a model replacement for the winged Rebel MC80 Star Cruiser. installations. In addition to this, the manager also offers an improved interface for selecting a map through the map editor. This will probably be easier for most people, as I know many of you do have problems with the command line arguments that are required to launch the map editor. - Freyr
this looks fantastic! Look at the pictures for a mo, just look at them. The basic version is not what I'd call the Venator, but a new class, but that's by the by. It looks very nice and sports all that is needed for the Romulan battleship. In terms of balance, it fits completely in, replacing the old Venator class from stock and will have no adverse effect on gaming. It's the Vulture you have to watch out for. Being a variant, you expect it to have a bit of a difference and it certainly does. The Romulan-tweaked Poleron cannon (from the Vor'Cha in stock) has been given to the Vulture (as visible by the red hangar on the lower side of the ship) which acts the same but also does a lot of damage to the enemy, making it very useful when out-matched by a larger foe, or for taking down larger installations in fewer hits. Of course, the subtle differences in cost mean that it's still kept balanced. Contained within though are build-buttons, wireframes and admiral pics for both along with further instructions for installation. Heck, it also comes with Borg textures! Altogether, this is a very good pair of warbirds, definitely for the collection.
stock game, it fits in exactly the same place and does look incredibly similar (although between the two, I\'d be safer in this one). The contents include an admiral\'s pic, build button and some new pulse textures (which look very nice) but peculiarly, no wire-frame, but not to worry as you can simply use the stock one which will fit with this mod perfectly. The big thing about this mod though has to be the weapons load-out, which although won\'t change initial damage too much, will change it to look a lot more like the Defiant firing. Add to that the save-fire added which makes the pulses fire off in larger salvo\'s, a group of these on first sight of a battleship could take it down rapidly, at least more so than before. In such a case, perhaps this fits in better with a Tal-Shiar division, possibly suggested by the pics. Anyhow, this is a fantastic looking ship and definitely worthy to any Romulan fan.
point though that this game doesn't only support Star Trek play, but more on this later. What we have is a ship of the Imperial, from the hit-game Battlefleet Gothic, a spawn from the table-top game Warhammer 40K. The Imperial (of men) is one of the many races vying for planetary conquest along with the expansion of their empire in the futuristic universe. Call this a sample then of the game. It's a powerful one at that. Don't be deceived however by the large amount of weapons that this ship has and believe me, it has a lot, however they've been fire-arc'd meaning wherever you attack this beast, it will fire 'something' at you at the very least (which, for note, I recommend attacking from the back, it's not quite as painful). The brilliance is, it's not all beams and cannons in one direction. The devastating forward rails will grill you if you wonder in front, whilst the barrage of pulses from the sides will get at your fleet. In short, this is a fleet buster. The ship it self does look really quite good, especially for a first attempt. Whilst not being fully in-the-know of BFG, I DO know this is pretty damn close to the original design, so a particular well done for that (as well as using advanced techniques with the weapons). Complete with wireframe and build button, this is a download for all your curious people out there and anybody else who likes to dabble a bit in the 40K universe. Sufficed to say, I recommend it.
all of which is text I have added the the tutorial to the readme section to save the download. One thing I will add is that the map editor is not always included on your A2 CD, for which reason it is hosted on the site here:- http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Armada_2_Map_Editor_Files;12053
seperate file at the authors request. -Freyr SSA\'s original description:- Well, another Concorde for Armada II, along with what looks to be a structure (don\'t know for sure if this is just in the screenshots or actually within the download). Still, it\'s nice to see something not related to Trek every once in a while, even if it is a plane from the 21st century wink

time and effort (from what I can see) to rename the ship, and add the correct registry to her. A nice special weapon has also been added that being a Defelector Dish Weapon (probably the one attempted in BoBW by the Enterprise-D). However, a fine ship, with some fine detail ;) - SSA
the TOS one), though with a deflector dish, and the pod at the back raised. Again, this is a nice little ship that fits in quite well. The only two problems I can see with these are as follows: Firstly their poly count (not that its up in the 5000), but 1500(ish) for a ship of this type and era may cause some issues. Additionally, they both read “NX-01 – Enterprise” – something that shouldn’t take two minutes to correct, though is there anyway. Nevertheless, a very nice looking Ent-era ship for our collection!
appears to be nicely balanced against comparable ships.
much of Atlantis, thus am unaware as to whether the Prometheus was ever shown on that show. Anyway, these aren't game-compatible (at least, not as of yet). They are only Meshes, and do need hardpointing and suchlike (something that I may even be tempted to do myself, given time). I can't fault the textures of these, and the poly counts are both within game limitations. - x303 Poly Count: 1300 - x304 Poly Count: 2062 As with a lot of Major Paynes models, these are poly reductions of some much higher polied models for Starfleet Command. Anyway, if your a Stargate Fan, then you'll want these two models (ok, so you have to get them into the game yourself - this proving easier for some people than others) but think of it as a unique challenge. I also took the liberty of taking some screenshots in MS3D, I know how everyone likes to see what they're getting. - Ash
challenger class was created by starfleet as a prototype heavy fighter. but because of the lack of shielding and the fact that the war with the dominion was over starfleet scraped the idea. now due to a leak in security the plans have been released.
as well, which is equally important and helps to root out any mistakes you've made. What is also ncie about it is the "human" feel to it. It has been written for reading and following in mind and does a good job at it. In short, for those of you having trouble installing your new ships or stations, this is a very practical and good tutorial to get.
one, that is bound to add quite a bit of fun to your Armada II gaming. Taking a fleet, then doubling it sounds perfect ;) - SSA
:) - SSA
really, quite amazing. Even with some refinement, I think there is still something a little \"iffy\" about the neck and head section, but this is easily overlooked, especially with the rest of the texture which is very Romulan-esque and is guaranteed to fit in with any Romulan fleet. Better yet, the design of the ship will also seamlessly blend in within any Romulan Armada. Designed to be the Romulans equivalent to the Federation Akira, her stats are similar and she is of a similar size. What is good in particular is that she comes with a very nice admiral\'s pic and a well done build button. Unfortunately, no wireframe, but I did always find them pretty difficult to make and there\'s always time for future releases to make some. All in all, a very good mod, exceptional for that of essentially a \"beginner\".
(possibly with screenshots)?
definitely want this. As far as I can see, the textures have been improved, but I still think they could do with a little more work to cover a few more prominent spots. It also has extra towers or little features as well as the "spike" underneath the city, seen on the rise of the city. So in the canon sense, it's a little bit closer. Armed with deadly drones and the ability to launch Puddle Jumpers, this is a pretty neat station, similarly to the previous version. To get the Puddle Jumper, you'll need this and this.
is something I rather like. What makes this different to the other version is that this is now in SOD format, meaning it can go straight into game. Whilst the textures are stock (which might cause a pain to some of you but I personally don\'t mind as the Galaxy class textures were some of the best from the stock game), the model is definitely refreshing and most certainly worthy of adding to your many Federation shipyards, or perhaps even to the graveyard scene in a Wolf 359 map? Whatever, the options with this ship are varied, so make good use of it!
\"fyard\" buildItem2 = \"fsensor\" buildItem3 = \"fturret\" buildItem4 = \"fmining\" buildItem5 = \"fresear\" buildItem6 = \"fresear2\" buildItem7 = \"fyard2\" buildItem8 = \"AS_0005D\" buildItem9 = \"fsuperbl\" buildItem10 = \"forbital\" buildItem11 = \"ftrading\" buildItem12 = \"fupgrade\" buildItem13 = \"fbase2\" buildItem14 = \"jup\" buildItem15 = \"doomsday\" buildItem16 = \"defsat\" cause this implies that you just wont be able to build the items if you don\'t have the same computer as the maker of the mod - needs a little more work to be done on it.
whether or not you want to "take the second star to the left" in a Constitution class, "journey into the new frontier" in your advanced Excelsior class, "be one big happy family" in a Miranda or simply explore the scientific sites of the Alpha quadrant in your Oberth, you have a wide choice in numerous ships and cleverly done kit-bashes. The textures are great and so to are the models, so re-live those good all days with some brilliant ships. Hunt for those cloaked ships and try your best at warp 8, engage the download! 10 Creativity: 8 Installation Instructions: 7 Overall Rating: 8.4 - lewrbmm69 ----------------------------------- "The year is 2160...and the Shadows are completely destroying us!!" Okay, so it's not 'quite' how it went, but it's also accurate and entirely true to this mod. Think of everything fantastic that was in Babylon 5 and this mod becomes literally a direct portrayal of the series in stunning form. There truly is nothing left of Star Trek here, from the opening video displaying some nice battles, mostly involving the Shadows gliding through the night and destroying anything they come across, to the completely changed main menu, with a certain B5 feel to it. This is all of course before you get into the game where, words cannot say enough, the mod comes into its own and makes it one of the best mods available to the game. Where to start? Well, each of the many B5 races (from the Humans to the Vorlons) have respective race fighters and whilst obviously not powerful separately, you can build them up to become very powerful forces, though that isn't to say that that the higher end battleships (or lower classes if you're playing as the mighty Vorlons or Shadows) can take on a good wing of them, although sustaining damage in the mean-time. What you also have to love is the attention to pure detail. Obviously there are plenty of ships to bolster your races fight for victory (or in most cases survival) from the canon ones as seen on the show to totally made up designs which fit in seamlessly and you wish were used on the show. Even to this date, so long after the mods release, the designs and textures hold up, but that's another point. Visually, this mod is stunning. With rotating station sections, accurate weapons and lots of them to go with some eye-boggling colour exchanges in fleet versus fleet action, the mod will whip you away into a world of its own, bolstering everything included in it. Even the huge Babylon 5 (part of the Alliance of races) still looks amazing, regardless of newer models, including those on the visually better games such as Bridge Commander. This is a hard to believe fact, considering the game is a strategy and technically shouldn't be enforcing these high quality graphics and yet, somehow, it does, with absolutely no problem to quality of gaming. Expect in this mod also everything you find in the 'real' Babylon 5. Huge jump-gates that allow the mass movement of ships to enemy quarters (think of the Borg's transwarp portal from stock, but much better graphics, also the seen blue and orange hue that is seen on the show). Specials that fit in too, such as the anti-Shadow ships (did someone just scream 'Whitestar' because good people, it's in here!) and telepaths to up the game (literally). Whilst the mod has no single player, understandably so with all the hard work it must've taken, the instant action is the pinnacle of the fun that you can have with this mod. Although 1 vs. 1 does make for some fun skirmishes, there is no way you can beat an all out multi-player slug-fest with either lots of Ai, who fight supremely hard for the map, sometimes more than you or other humans (best arrange that one) who have a vice-like command of their armada, from resource collecting (see the shuttles fly back and forth between sources for resources and their mother-ship freighters) to shipyard selection to the inevitable management of the clash between the fleets. The year might only be 2007, but Babylon 5 isn't the last best hope for peace...you are! - Joelteon7 (17/05/07) ------- Patch 1.01 can be found here. As in Star Trek Armada, the player has the ability to command large numbers of ships in a top down interactive environment. Star Trek Armada II takes the concept to it's logical conclusion by allowing the player to also experience the game in a full 3D mode, so the battles and elements of space conquest and exploration take on the vividness of the best of Star Trek. With over 45 new ship classes, 22 new special weapons, over 30 new stations, building a devastating armada has been taken to a new level. This demo allows you to play either as the the Federation or the Borg, and includes multiplayer and Instant Action, aswell as playing online. You can also play the first federation mission in single player.

Warbird Type III Norexan Class Warbird -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------- Description ------------------------- Melak: The first Romulan vessel to be given the title of Warbird. The Melak was the equivalent of the Federation Ambassador; though some would argue they weren’t as powerful, those recorded incidents usually favoured the Melak over the federation counterpart. Deridex: Nearly twice the length of a Galaxy-class starship, the D’Deridex Class Warbird is a common site along the Romulan boarder, and a formidable opponent in battle. Able to match, and even overpower a Vor’cha Class Attack Cruiser, or a Galaxy Class Starship with comparative ease. Norexan: The latest development by the Romulan Star Empire. The Norexan is the third vessel to bear the name ‘Warbird’. Armed with pulse and phase disruptors, along with a cloaking device, makes these starships a unique adversary in any situation. For her size, the Norexan is also quite agile. ##################################################

there are several improved phaser sprites included in this pack. Now I list another model pack, the Constitution pack, as a requierment for this pack. Due to problems with the upload system that pack is not currently up on the sight. However I will include a link in the comments section for you until the system is fixed. Assuming the download problem will still remain a link for the Excelsior pack will also be in the commentsection untill the system is fixed. I\'ll get both links up as quickly as I can but there may be a small period of time between the staff posting the page and my getting back to put up the links so please be patient.

been streamlined too for slightly better weapons coverage. Model now include a Blank version, USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E, and USS Sovereign NCC-73811; all in Nemesis colors. Bouns models include and alternet blank in First Contact colors and a First Contact USS Enterprise. Textures are High res but the whole setup has full LODS for both Meshes and Textures. Enjoy!
pack are several models(in sod format and one .ms3d) and textures. Just as with the V-wing, I have not included the usual buttons wireframes, odf\'s etc because it will be in my FO mod. Again, the models are complete, hardpointed and ready to go ingame if you have the skills to do that yourself. I have included a standard red texture, and a Razor squadron version, each with their own sod which I hope you will use and enjoy!
to replace the drained K\'t\'inga. Sharing the same general use as her predecessor, the Kolode is capable of switching through mission roles with ease, and as such, is a common sight throughout the Empire. Kho\'brah: Originally developed to replace the K\'t\'inga, the Kho\'brah type have since found themselves working alongside the Vor\'cha. Quick, manoeuvrable, and well armed, these ships are among those used within fleets assault groups, usually being deployed within strategic sectors or strike forces. ##################################################

their hull strength and general agility tend to suffer due to energy strains. ------------------------- I found the \'Warbird Head\' a destinctive sight that should have been specific to the D\'Deridex, so for the purpose of Zero Hour, I asked Aad if he\'d redo the front textures, and to tweak the model a little bit. This was the result. This file uses the stock Build Button and Wireframe. This presents itself as a complete rebuild of the stock Shadow Class provided by Mad Doc and Activision.
wireframe, weapon ODFs, texes and sound FX and much more! I even wrote a Point Defense Laser special weapon so it could fire on torpedos like in the movie. As Wiley Coyotes textures were made for a highly detailed ship, I had to draw one or two things myself using paint. If you examine each TGA you might find some details I left out, but in general it should be to everybodys satisfaction. The screenshots were made by Jetfreak, except the first five, as Jet\'s version differs a little from my final model. Anyway, the important thing is: If you like the ship: DOWNLOAD! And fly around with it, marveling at its beauty. If you dislike the ship: DOWNLOAD! And BLOW IT UP!!! Let your anger run free! Have fun! ;) Merough
notable vessels of this class would be the USS Polaris, a prominent member of the United Earth first fleet. Thanks to his inspirational and the epic CG rendering skills of Dave Metlesits from DeviantArt, I was inspired to do a rendition of one of his original vessels. Which was the Pallada Class USS Polaris. It is a destroyer vessel featured in his numerous fan fictions currently hosted on DeviantArt. After securing permission from Dave to create an Armada 2 version of his craft, I immediately proceeded to start work on this rendition. Of course, with the help of Fahres for the original model and Majestic, for the kitbashing. Team effort for the win! Overall, this makes a fine addition to your TOS fleets, makes a nice change from the usual destroyers of the era. =p
A new mod from the master of graphics! And. indeed, an awesome addition to any TOS era fleet. If you\'re a TOS fan, then get this ASAP. Why should you wait? It\'s Jetfreak quality!
conventional warp drive. Like most new Federation ships built in this point in time the Proteus has the latest in Starfleet weaponry and shield geometry. Because this ship has the ability to cover large area of space in such a short period of time she is specificaly designed for multipurpose roles ranging from patroling the outer reaches of Federation space to long range tactical missions.
lazy, I finished the repainting. The Pack also contains the ships docked to my Fed ship depot and - as a bonus - a few new ones and a yard to build them from. from the beginning wanted to bring her to Armada 2. Now that I have a few models under my belt I felt it was time. Knowing full well that the era was all wrong for her, I decided to build her as a TMP era assault cruiser. I took away her tractors and gave her torps but, everything else is still the same as the original assault ship. ================================================================================================================= Background Info: Built at the Utopia Shipyards from 2283 to 2338, The Strider Class was designed with a multitude of roles in mind. Primarily used for fleet support and small resupply missions, it was not intended for deep space missions without an accompanying cruiser. In times of conflict, the Strider was also used to ferry Marines to planets needing their services. The Marines were also used to board and subdue (if possible) or destroy (if necessary) enemy vessels.
insidious glare problem and includes some additional features. Thank Thunderfoot for doing most of this work as my originals where lost in a HD crash.
Definitely worth a download. the original, the one that started it all. LOD's, damage and even a Captain Kirk voiceover are included. This version has alternate, more detailed textures along with spot lights. * Please note that this version includes all the files necessary to get the Enterprise in game, you do not need to download both the original USS Enterprise and then the alternate pack to get the alternate textures or vice versa. *
more correct with new details and with all sections of the model properly placed to avoid the mesh errors the stock version had. The Embryos were redone following the stock versions as an example, proper animations will be released in a later date. For the Rift Maker, well, I truly suggest you first see it in the final Borg mission :) .
stock models as a guide. They all have the same color scheme as they are not mobile units and have a similar function to support and enhance your fleets of Bioships. New build buttons, wireframes and Admiral's log pics are also included.

Again I'd like to mention: "ex-astris-scientia.org/starship_database". And above all, the people behind our own Armada 2 site. Without their efforts, all this wouldn't be possible. units I released before, but they were remade too). This pack also includes an alternate version of the texture files (textures, wireframes and build buttons) for the Defender and the turrets it builds, the alternate version will give them the same color of the Battleship. But the textures by default have a different colour, that should help to quickly recognize the ship's function, in this case, for building support organisms. The Bee will mantain it's intended brown scheme of colors, to match the other bioships in the fleet.
rounder shapes and the new texture files to prevent the texture distorions like those in the stock Transmuter. This pack also includes an alternate version of the texture files (textures, wireframes and build buttons), the alternate version will give the bioships the same color of the Battleship. These will make the bioships look more accurate with the canon 8472 but it may be confusing with so many types of bioships in big fleet actions, that is the reason that the textures by default have a different colour, but it also helps to quickly recognize the ship's function, in this case, for resource gathering.
but I decided to change the design of the Scout a little and made it more closer to the Frigate's design. I think the change works well as the ship now has a little bit more of an imposing look. This pack also includes alternate version of the texture files (textures, wireframes and build buttons), the alternate version will give the bioships the same color of the Battleship (with some small changes). These will make the bioships look more accurate with the canon 8472 but it may be confusing with so many types of bioships in big fleet actions, that is the reason that the textures by default in this pack are recoloured like the stock versions (Blue-ish for the Destroyer and red for the Scout).
episode "Distant Origin.". But with all we know about Species 8472, is it hard to come with designs for them. But some time ago, when Star Trek Online appeared, they showed new design of bioships, there was one that I liked very much and made a version of that one as a replacement for the Cruiser, and I think it plays very well in Armada2. The Launcher keeps most of it's basic shape, but I made the texture similar to that of the new Cruiser and I added a cannon to the ship, so we now can see where the artillery torpedoes come from :) .

intensified by the addition of the Point-defense beams mentioned in the Game Manual and a towing beam. I always liked the concept so I made it basing it closely to the stock version, but adding many more details and also fixed the issue that the ship was not simetrical like the Battleship, so I made the forward tendrils and wings to be simetrical this time, giving the model an even better look.

This first zip pack contains the first two models: the Battleship and Frigate. They come together as they are needed for the Bio-Pulse Conduit special weapon and as they are canon units. weaponary from the Scimatar program. Multiple pulse disruptor cannons and photon torpedo launchers make her quite formable in battle.
Freyr From the author:- To withstand the formidable ships of the Dominion, Starfleet decided to improve units of the Excelsior Class Refit. The result was the Excelsior II, ouyfitted with a new stardrive, new nacelles and stronger shields. These ships performed very well and were more than a match for enemy ships. Starfleet Command, however, opted for the Akira Class, as these were easier and cheaper to build. The Excelsior II units were widely used in all kind of actions.
out to replace with my own models, is complete.
He also mentions:
I changed the armament of the kspecial to give her some more firepower. The stock model was very weak in my view
....but I mean, c'mon. Used effectively, the Fek'lhr is probably the game's second-best 'special' ship (right after the Diamond). Her special weapons are hideously powerful when wielded the right way. With additional firepower that ship becomes incredibly potent, and much to be feared. To say nothing of the Jach'Eng, which is a nightmare both to use and to defend against. Regardless, these ships are good, and it's nice to see the complete Klingon experience has been totally refurbished by such a talented modder.
SPECTACULAR. The enhanced details and fine little improvements may only be detectable to the eyes of Dawnstar fans (like me), but they make all the difference and they're well worth a download. Note that you'll require the original Dawnstar model, not the recently refurbished version with new nacelles. Definitely something you'll want to add to your fleet, Dawnstar fans.

weapons, and even its maneuverability and ability to repair other ships. A complete list of variables is included in the file. This is a useful starting point, but it's just a .JPEG, not a usable mod. What'd be nice is if this information were in something formulaic, to aid in balancing and adding new ships to the game. But that's another mod, for the future. Something to look forward to. Regardless of what it could be, what this represents is a major leap forward in our ability to predict and calculate how the AI thinks, and how it can be programmed to respond differently.
spectacular.
The Constitution is an old design, having served the Federation well from as early as 2245. Those vessels still in service are commonly used for convoy or escort duty, as due to their age, they aren't known to fare all that well in fleet combat.
Some more nice Zero Hour 'rejects' work.
Due to their age however, these ships are no longer at their best, and have such been reduced to more casual vessels, complimenting the fleet.
Nice work from Ash and his Zero Hour crew.
give us their take on P81's version for A2.
Having seen most of their prime action between 2260 and 2345, the Miranda has since been demoted to patrol supply lines throughout the Federation borders. Whilst these vessels are able to survive a fire fight with pirates, they are in no technological order to join combat fleets.
Another beautiful 'reject' from the Zero Hour mod team.
less officers, faster to build and cheaper.) This version now has borg textures as well. As suggested, I now used the ZIP format. files included: ODFs, SOD, TGA, BMP and JPEGS.
an understatement, as this is more like a wholly new take on the Ryan Church design. It's definitely worth a download, but be advised: any comments not related to the mod, but to the ship/movie, will be edited or deleted.

This should make small and big mods take a little less time. Manual included! ;-)
balancing mods in the future. The utility presents it's weapon outputs at one, ten and thirty seconds. Unfortunately, the weapon outputs appear to be calculated for the thirty second output and then ten and one second results are the figure for thirty seconds divided by three and thirty respectively. That sort of calculation is adequate for a rapidly firing phaser as it's reasonably accurate, but there is a margin of error that increases when you start using powerful but slow firing weapons. For instance, my hypothetical weapon does one point of damage with a certain chance to hit and a three second reload time. Therefore, at one second my hypothetical weapon should have done one point of damage, three points of damage at ten seconds and ten points at thirty seconds. The utility correctly calculates the thirty second value, but then returns incorrect values for the ten and one second values ("3.33333349227905" points of damage at ten seconds and 0.333333343267 at one second respectively) As it is, this utility does have a useful role to play in balancing by providing the average figures which can be considered "near enough" and i'll happily concede that while doing balancing in certain situations it may be more useful to have the average figures. For that alone, this is worth grabbing if your balancing a mod. However, personally i'd like to see the absolute correct figures calculated. Hopefully we'll see another version of this with that little correction in as that would take this from being "useful" while doing balancing to "essential". - Freyr
her and made the rest of the files needed to bring this great warrior completely into A2. The most aggravating and most rewarding part was doing her weapons loadout. After some MSN conversations with Chiletrek I came up with a fair approximation of the "bullet showers". I still have not achieved the "flak burst" effect from the proximity warheads(hence the "0.9" designation). After long research and numerous experiments I realized A2 is probably not going to allow me to recreate this without using a SOD based weapon, which would increase lag significantly or hacking the executable, which means I could not then share the weapons with all of you. I suppose I could write another hook file, a la FlOps. But there is not much point in doing something which Doca Cola and his team do a whole lot better than I can. The one thing I could not yet do and had not yet figured out was how to allow either Pegasus or Galactica to engage multiple targets with burst fire. After some thinking and digging and tinkering, I have managed to achieve this. These have some of the usual multi targeting weapon flaws but they are minor or at least well known. Once either or both BattleStars are fully engaged with the enemy they are not all that noticable. The maximum number of targets is set at two because if I set it at three, then Raider attacks last all of two seconds.
in terms of poly count and overall model size. Plus they're a little unusual while still retaining the classic Starfleet elements-- in the case of Avalon Station, it's partially embedded in an asteroid. R5D5 also includes lightmaps, wireframes, buildbuttons and Admiral's Log pics for his stuff. All in all, this is some seriously awesome mod content, at a time when there isn't much else coming out. A great mod from everyone's favourite modding astromech.
off your installation because you missed a quote mark somewhere? This tool finds where. While I haven't used this yet, it sounds like it's just become an essential part of any serious modders toolkit. Fallengraces had been using this for Armada (1) and found it to be so useful he made the alterations that should be required to get this working in A2, however it's comparatively untested and should be considered to be under development. Unfortunately, the identity of the original developer has been lost to time. If anybody reading this does know who developed the original tool, please let us know! - Freyr A few words from Fallengraces:- A BETA...cant strain that enough that is basically an odf and Techtree error checking program. I found it useful while modding A1 and decided to update in in order to be able to mod A2. File contains both the A1 orginal and the A2 update. Very user friendly, hope this helps those budding modders and some of our old vets. avoid the very painful CTD. For now only understands stock Weaponry and commands but hoping to fix that soon. Everything else i believe is covered in the Readme. I hope to use this thread http://forums.filefront.com/st-a2-modding-editing/405260-staum-version-2-0-a.html as a error and help thread seeing as its stupid to sart another if this will do just fine. ~Fallengraces~
hardpoints are named according to their function (see readme). This is a really nice ship, and it fits the Lost Era perfectly. If there's any era we need new Starfleet ships for (and there aren't many, are there?) it's the Lost Era. Beautiful port from Thermal Nuclear Chicken. cool
background. Please enjoy and discuss and feel free to give me criticism and suggestions as always (either here, or on the Fleet Operations forum). It is a work in progress, so not all sections are complete. New versions will be uploaded as I write them. A special thanks to the Fleet Operations team for their hard work and enthusiasm for Star Trek.
about Species 8472, and of course, Klingons always get the best dreadnoughts. And wow, does Pepperman ever prove that last one correct:
The Divine Right Class is the latest design to come from the shipyards at Qo'noS. This Imperial Klingon Starship is one of most heavily armed battleships within the fleet. Type-3 disruptor cannon and photo torpedoes are standard for this class vessel but she can also be outfitted with a plasma cannon. To Sto-vo-kor. Today is a good day to die.
Now, I know this one's been around, as most of Pepperman's work tends to be an A2 interpretation of a long-time well-known Trek modelling community vessel. And nobody does them like Pepperman, that's for sure. Take a look at the pure awesomeness of this design and the detail that's been put into it. And hopefully you won't be caught on the battlefield with your jaw hanging down, 'cause this thing looks like it has Sovs for breakfast. Definitely worth the download.

work, and she looks fantastic. This is one of the best new Starfleet designs I've seen in a while. Definitely worth a download.
separate from the old one, which is awesome news. Now you get two Cardassian advanced yards from Aad Moerman and if you're happy with them, you get more space for the Cardies to build ships. That's good value for your spoonheads! Definitely worth a download.
formed(which will be noticed if your ship loses engines).
stuff we've received since we got back in April. The 2009 film version of Star Trek gave us the new, revamped take on the Enterprise. It's looked okay before, a little too shiny (better to reflect the lens flares off of, don'tcha know), but in-game in A2, it looks spectacular. Beginner / Amateur has always given us top-grade stuff before. This is an exception-- it's even better than usual. Download this right now.

anyway). The Farragut variant is the same as the one, used as the fspecial. The Phoenix variant has the sensorpod. The Bonchune variant was used in the Dominion war. Use all 4, or only the ones you like. I lost count of all the sites and images, I've studied. One website I'd like to mention: "ex-astris-scientia.org/starship_database". And above all, the people behind our own Armada 2 site. Without their efforts, all this wouldn't be possible. Cube.
The Borg have assimilated a race of advanced beings which were masters of trans-dimensional portal technology. The Borg adapted this technology into the collective and have outfitted this tactical cube with an experimental trans-dimensional portal generator. This vessel has been specifically designed with an internal spherical dome which serves as a lens to focus the massive amount of energy created by the generator. Once the proper amount of energy is obtained and the desired frequency reached, the cube fires a focused beam enabling a trans-dimensional portal to be opened. A deadly alien ship emerges from the portal. Beware of the Shadows!
This is a spectacular bit of work and definitely worth a download.
short time. Two classes are included in this library. The first (OdfParser) can parse odf code line by line, while the second is able to analyze and modify whole documents. That's why it's called OdfDocument. It is more handy than the parser, but does not deliver the same performance as the parser does. Using the parser might be quite difficult if you are not that experienced with .NET, so I would recommend to start using the document. So all you need is a little bit knowlegde of any .NET language, be it C++/CLI, C#, VB.NET, IronPython or whatever. I also included a short example solution (written in C#) showing what this library is capable of.
so that had to be left out. Important Note: Make a backup of your existing files, because the files in this folder will overwrite the stock files!
plug-and-play, and with no included hardpoint map, she'll need a little modding experience to get working in-game. Still, new Cardie shipyards are not something we see often. So that makes it worth a download all by itself.
a secondary kitbash version of the same model as well. Keep in mind there may be certain .ODF-related crash events depending on how many of the recent BSG models you've downloaded and whether or not they're set up as programmed. If you get crashes, check that first. Either way, this one's worth a download.
files are included, too! Bonus! Worth a look.
"Silent Running" that was released shortly after Star Wars. Once filming wrapped on that production, the producers of the original BSG purchased the filming model and inserted it into shots of the original Colonial Fleet. This ship was reproduced by the special effects company responsible for the re-imagined BSG, only this time the Valley Forge model appeared alongside (oddly enough) models of the Serenity from "Firefly" and the TMP-era USS Enterprise. Now there's a PotD in the making. Still, mikemckeon007 seems bound and determined to give us one BSG model after another, leading up to a full race mod release. Can't wait for more.

just about every episode of the new Battlestar Galactica. The ship is set up to fulfill the role of a colony ship, but if you use it in that regard it'll mean the President's ship is stuck on some planet somewhere. Unfortunately A2 only allows for a limited number of playable events from the series, but there are always workarounds. This one's definitely worth a download.
model looks great and it's fantastic to see some A2 content in the Battlestar Galactica department. Download this one right now.
fulfilled a necessary role. Later on when the Assault Raptor (with the missile packs) showed up, it was a logical extension of the awesomeness. But still.... something was needed that was big enough to suit the needs fulfilled by the truly monstrous capacity of the old Colonial cargo shuttle. Sure enough, it looks a lot like the old version but with vastly more streamlining and a better paint scheme. These cargo shuttles made important appearances in several episodes, and their presence has not gone without notice in the BSG modding community. And here mikemckeon007 gives us one such design, scripted to function as a cargo ship making runs to his earlier Cloud Nine mod release. It's all coming together. Can a Raptor pack be far behind? I sure hope not! This is some awesome stuff. Get it now!
it's missing is a model of Galactica (is that all?).... Get this one right now.
with the previously released mining ship. Works well together-- could a full race mod be far behind? Download this one right now.

been hard to please these two sections of the community..... but today Aad Moerman gives us his latest design, the Nimrod, which promises to have something for both. Combining no less than a full quartet of Sovereign nacelles into a modified Akira frame intended to hold 'em, and with a little story to explain the situation, the Nimrod class looks and plays with the combination of beauty and power that one expects of any good Starfleet vessel. She's a proper lioness in that she's got teeth as well, including new weapons .ODFs based on stock and included by Aad Moerman for your modding enjoyment. There's also a full set of in-game details to suit. The Nimrod class gives a new meaning to the term "best of both worlds" and commends itself to be downloaded, by you, as soon as possible.
look like and here you have it. The regular ship is armed with a mega phaser and some light phasers, the refit adds a photon torpedo bay and 2 more nacelles make it very deadly on the offensive side of things.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Nice work from Fireball here. Worth a download.

are NOT READY to use in game, as all files are in MS3D format rather than .SOD format, and have no textures. A modeling program that can open MilkShape3D files is required to complete these models. It's almost too bad that things came to such a sudden end with these models, since they could've been great new additions for the Cardassians. Maybe they still can. Download 'em today!
accompanying a task force of Constitutions and Suryas against Klingon installations. The conversion was a team effort by mikemckeon007 and Tain_Enabran, based on a mesh from SFC2 by Atrahasis. Tain_Enabran has really put together a wonderful mod here, complete with old-school weapons and everything you'll need to add this beauty to your A2 collection. It's a different design by the standards of the era, but it's one that fits the timeline very, very well. Worth a look.
effects, and all the other stuff you'd expect. It's already been ported to other games, and now it's finally available for A2. It seems that the Planck class starship is the bridesmaid of this A2 modding contest, and it's unfortunate. Indeed, if we had models of this quality for every starship in the game, think of how fantastic this game would look. Ultimately, and unfortunately, it was the judges' decision not to award either of the prizes to the Planck. That doesn't mean she's been overlooked, however. Far to the contrary-- this is quality work and fully deserving of praise.
before. It almost makes you want to run a Millennium Falcon along its length just to re-create the escape from Bespin in The Empire Strikes Back. It's that good. The original version was by Warlords Modding Union, and the work that's been done on it represents a fantastic improvement. Note, however, that some game tweaking is going to be in order to get this beast to work for you as starfox intends it. This was an entry in the 2008 Year End Modding Contest, and it was very difficult judging indeed. To Starfox, we can only say, "most impressive." Download this one right now. It is your DESTINY.
Ghost's Compilation Mod, among other sources. However, the novelty here is the inclusion of the starship Premonition in the role of Enterprise-I (which, given the incredible advancement seen in the Enterprise-J, seems highly unlikely). All credit is given for the various starships used, and if you weren't already using the models selected, they're worth a look. If anyone wants credit more specifically given or if permission was required for any of these downloads, please say so in the comments and we'll help Jabsticles get it right for next time.
making the existing shape work. Aad has modified and enlarged the saucer section, changed the look of the vessel, and just generally done the best that can be done with the sad little design. Perhaps best of all, the crew complement has increased to 200, since as Aad points out, there's no reason a frigate has a crew complement on par with a destroyer. It's gotta have more crew or it doesn't make sense. This is a nice alternative design for the Aegian class, and hopefully you'll like it WAAAY better than the original. Download it today!
It seems like they needed to include some new and nifty design just to appeal to the fans who weren't going to buy the game anyway-- a new Federation starship!? GOTTA HAVE THIS GAME! Yeah, well, seven years on, the Aegian has aged terribly in stock, and even attempts at retexturing have only reinforced the silliness of this design. Dan1025 gives us what's probably the best Aegian attempt we've seen to date --and as usual, it's sophisticated in how it improves the original while including everything you could possibly want. While the design hasn't improved any, that's hardly Dan's fault. This takes making the best of a bad situation to a new level of quality. Download this one today.
the tools necessary for creating ODFs, TTs and Sprite files, and with that in mind I set forth on my mission. I would like to thank Starbase34.net for the extensive research they did into the ODFs for making ships/stations and weapons, as that was a big help in writing all the coding in for the ODFs. I do not have any blank templates for you to use, its build as you go, and that is, in my opinion, all you need. This modding tool is meant for both the most seasoned veteran and the newest rookie that is just starting out. V1.1 now includes support for the Patch Project created by the Fleet Ops team. modding ODF, TT and Sprite files for Star Trek Armada 2. are not included in this update since the low res ones are smaller and that there's not that much noticable diffrence between the two while in game. Details for obtaining high res textures can be found within the install directions. I also greatly apologize for any inconvenience or frustrations this brought. The Prometheus class is one of the most well known ships from Star Trek, mainly from a new take on Starship Seperation; the Multi Vector Assault Mode. Dispite it's fame, this ship is a rather elusive one in Armada II, especially with MVAM support. While there is a version of the Prommie originally created by Deemon/Gonwee, time had not faired well with it. So here I present a new Prometheus class model with MVAM support, as well as several diffrent textures to choose from. I admit that while I tried to get it as close to the cannon design, it's not perfect. But it is of good quallity, and it brings a bit of Diversity for the class.
Scout Cube. The save function stays disabled though. - TParis
utterly overdone by the canon, and by modders in like spirit, that we have the Assimilators and Diamonds, Probes and Spheres in the canon, along with unimatrix structures and massive hub complexes. Modders have taken the concept of the "polygons of DOOM" into such truly bizarre directions as the Cylinder, the Tactical Pyramid, and back over into highly specialized attack vessels such as the Dominator-- to say nothing of the stock game's inclusion of the Borg Wedge (which I've always taken a peculiar delight in pronouncing "Borg Wedgie"), Harmonic Defender, and the truly unlikely shape and designation of the Harbinger class. Anyone else remember when all it took was one cube to terrify the entire Federation? Either way, the purpose of this mammoth Borg structure is to do what the stock Technology Assimilator does, disassembling ships and using its own holding beams and docking bay to pull ships apart for processing. Whether it succeeds or fails in this regard is obviously a matter of some play-testing and seeing what you, the modders of the community, think of the idea. Worth a look.
worthy designs that I've seen lately. But there's method to Pizza the Hutt's madness: he's borrowing the overall starship design forms from the recently-depicted USS Kelvin, as it will be seen (and apparently destroyed) in the upcoming Star Trek film. This is a possible successor to that design, and it's so intended. As always with Pizza the Hutt's work, the quality of the overall design (this one seems to use P81 textures) is assured, and all the things you'd want to have --build buttons, wireframes and Admirals Log pics-- are included. Best of all, it's done in the spirit of the upcoming Trek film, and like it or hate it, all our hopes for the franchise to continue are pinned to the success of that film. Worth a look.
Build button, wireframe and Admirals Log pic are all included. Worth a look.
.SOD is as well. I understand that Jabsticles must be pretty keen on getting involved in the modding community-- both of the mods today are only based on stock for now, but with the level of enthusiasm seen here, hopefully better is yet to come.
not borne out by the registry, about which the author unfortunately claims to "have absolutely no flapping idea who made it". Looks like Deemon's to me. And the mod itself doesn't include MVAM capabilities. It appears to be a straight-up .ODF modification, with a new .SOD to match. The actual speculation surrounding which ship would become the Enterprise-F after the decommissioning / destruction of Enterprise-E has been one of my pet peeves in the Trek modding universe. After all, nobody asked after Enterprise-B and its class until the advent of The Next Generation. It seems kind of presumptuous to assume that a certain class of starship recommends itself as the Enterprise. The speculators' best guesses seem to indicate that Enterprise-A's decommissioning led directly to the construction of Enterprise-B, which had a lengthy, if comparatively undistinguished, career before Enterprise-C was launched, then destroyed at Narendra III some time into its first mission. Enterprise-D was purpose-built from the keel up as an Enterprise, as it appears the Enterprise-C was so intended. And Enterprise-E was probably renamed after Enterprise-D's unfortunate loss at the hands of the Duras sisters. Each Enterprise has represented a major leap in the available technology aboard, more powerful than its predecessor. The unfortunate choice in the series Star Trek: Enterprise, to both tack on a predecessor (NX-01) and an eventual descendant (1701-J) bearing the name Enterprise, simply bears out that tendency. But that, so far as we know, is where the tendency comes to an end. Unless Picard's good ship is lost imminently after Nemesis, it seems unlikely that the Prometheus class starship would ever carry a ship named Enterprise. What's more, traditionally Starfleet has honoured the "typical" setup-- two nacelles, an underslung stardrive and a connected saucer. Despite the undisputed improvements in tactical and power systems, the Prometheus remains an unlikely choice for 1701-F even if the Enterprise-E were destroyed the day after the events of Nemesis. Community tradition holds either the Century or the Soulwolf designs to be the likely bearers of the name into the next "next generation". This particular mod gives the Prometheus better phasers, a cloaking device, and three plasma weapons. And the shields absorb all the damage the vessel takes. Seems like overkill on an already powerful vessel, but since this is the Enterprise-F, or supposed to be, that seems to justify it. As a first mod, it seems to be pretty well done. As an Enterprise, though? Your mileage may vary. Worth a look.
active embryos one has a holographic generator that works like the incursion classes and another that works like the Romulan holographic generator. Beyond that is completely useless. (Although its pretty). The another embryo evolves into 1 ship from each of the other 4 races *minus borg* all armed with 2 species 8472 weapons, but as well as a technology assimilator. I intend to had much more with in my skill in the 1.1 release. The beginning of a new concept, and the promise of better. We couldn't ask for more. Worth a download if you still play with 8472.
interest in turning it into a spacefaring weapon of sorts) isn't quite clear. One thing's certain, however. The Borg could make one seriously terrifying mix tape. mash1971 referred to this as "holiday silliness". That was an understatement. Worth a look.
FleetOps website. Please visit the official FleetOps forums to report bugs & balancing issues and to obtain technical support. The latest patch (3.02) reactivating the save function can be found [file="97926"]here[/file]. After more than 2 years since the last release and about 8 years (!) of development beginning with Armada 1 in 2000 here is the first final version of the highly anticipated Fleet Operations modification for Armada 2, running great on Vista machines and including full widescreen support. FleetOps V3 comes with 5 playable and unique races: the Federation, Klingons, Romulans and the Borg, already known from stock Armada 1 & 2. The newcomer race is the Dominion, coming with its own voice set and soundtrack (which is included in the new Multimedia pack for FleetOps). The mod is also known for its radical changes of the stock Armada 2 gameplay. It ends up with having no warp, no planets to colonize and collect metal from and the removal of 3D space. Overall FleetOps is also much slower that the original game's one and the ships & stations can take a lot more damage. But we already know those changes from past versions, so what's new here? The first thing most people will notice are the redone and improved menus. The main menu has no animations left like those of Armada 1 & 2 or old versions of FleetOps. Buttons are clearly aligned and easy to find now, but it does not look as great as the old one due to the missing animations - a matter of taste. The option menus received some useful additions though, for example anti-aliasing in the graphics menu and a much more detailed map selection screen in the game setup. For the first time ever seen in a Armada game there is a rank system for ships. Destroying enemy forces results in being promoted up to 4 times. Promoted ships have enhanced offensive and defensive values - this causes you to take much more care of your "improved" vessels. Sound and graphics are just stunning, especially if consider that this the Armada engine we are talking about. Objects in space like planets (only serving as background object though), suns, asteroid belts and most nebula types look fantastic. Also the ships and stations are very well done (although some textures could have gotten a higher resolution). And then the explosions - what a fest to the eye! The team has even added a "screen rumbling effect" to the those. And of course the shuttle traffic between your stations from the last version is still there. Last but not least comes the enhanced map editor, which has many improved and more detailed windows & options and is directly accessable from the FleetOps main menu. Sadly, the amount of changes resulted in a defective save function, which had to be disabled. The team promised to work on this problem and to reactivate saving in a future patch. So what are you waiting for? Download ASAP! - TParis
up there with fan favourites the Galaxy, the Prometheus, and the Akira). And there's no abundance of reasons why, although the most prominent reason is the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E, along with her sister ship USS Sovereign, as seen in Bridge Commander. It was the look of the original NCC-1701-E model in-game that got me into modding Armada II in the first place. The fact that the texture was clearly identical, with the registry stamped on in MSPaint, truly irked me. After all, the Sovereign class Enterprise has such a sweeping impression to its registry, both above and below the saucer, and those kinds of details screamed for me to do something, or look for some way to make the ship work better. It's why Admirals Sovereign was the first mod I downloaded, and one I still use (albeit with retextures) to this day. These models are replacements for the stock Sovereign, re-done (and nicely!) by Aad Moerman, who always does top-rate stuff. The .ODF content is duplicated from there, as are (one can assume) the hardpoints. The models themselves look really nice, but my one issue, as you can see in a screencap, is the same one that brought me here in the first place. Fortunately the registry doesn't look as awful as the stock -E once did.... but it's not quite right, is it. Still, that's hardly something to complain about with such wondrous and truly awesome Sov models to work with here. It might be time to reconsider my use of Admirals' Sovereign.... Download this one today. You can never have enough Sovs.

Please be careful when installing this mod since it seems like some of the folders are misspelled, and there may be other points that'll require discussion in the forum.... you can never be too careful when spell-checking your mods! Lots of decent new mod stuff from other universes, all in this mod. Worth a look.
never liked it. The inability to lightmap stuff was somewhat annoying, so I decided to try and find a different way to do it. After all, the stock stuff does it, and very successfully too. Therefore, I have created this tutorial to teach anyone willing how to do it and produce amazing Borg textures.
Worth a look. Always good to have more than one way to do things.
up while laughing at them). Following on this week's highly successful Brinok and Gul Vystan class mods, the Rasilak is just another wonderful improvement to your stock spoonheads. Once again, this ship is intended as a stock replacement, rather than a complete mod, so you will be using stock wireframes and buildbuttons. While it's always preferred to see a complete new set of build buttons and wireframes.... well, at least the Admiral's Log pic is new. Either way, the ship itself is definitely worth a look. Peregrine class fighters. To that point, fighter combat in Trek was conjectural, but sources all over the Trek community figured that the Federation would eventually have to work its way up to carriers of some kind. It made sense-- naval combat here on Earth went from ships ramming and boarding each other, to ships gunning for each other, to ships shelling each other, to ships launching smaller craft to drop bombs and torpedoes and things against each other. Why not the same thing in Starfleet? The Peregrine fighter design you see here is a wonderful example of that design. With its twin-boom tail and distinctive diamond shape, the Peregrine is reminiscent of WWII-era fighters like the P-38 Lighting and P-61 Black Widow. This mod by Dan1025 (one of many this week from that incredible modder) includes everything you need to add the Peregrine to your game, right down to the weapons and wireframe, the buildbutton and the Borg textures. (Actually, the Borg version looks particularly menacing, although why or how the Collective would assimilate a simple fighter when they could grab a whole carrier is a good question.) Definitely worthy of a download.
know HOW the last one could be upgraded! That one had more weapons than most Federation fleets! However, this upgrade includes all of the following, which some of you have seen in the show from which this vessel originates:
dai-x ships and dai-x junction robot. shield enhancer for allied ships. dai-x pulse phasers. dai-x junction multi target eye phasers. revised tooltips for x bomber showing which mode its in. and a few other tweaks.
Truly awesome work --and no doubt accurate to the source material. Download this one if you're familiar with either the show, or the mod.
believe it's a minor vessel, the level of detail in this mod will surely persuade you otherwise. Some awesome effort and a whole, complete mod make this one a sure download. Get this one today.
Anti-Structure Torpedo, and the "true" Artillery Torpedo. Something new and different is always worth a download.
ship itself and the functions it can perform (now including an assault capability) have improved somewhat. Still wish it came as a full mod instead of just a ship with .ODF content, but no readme.
as he hasn't had the time to make a good job of it due to other commitments.
looking with them, appearance is everything. Note that CanadianBorg mentions that the author was "unknown, as there was no readme", but if this changes because someone knows an author, please advise in the comments below and this review will be amended to credit the author (or this file will be removed if the original requires permission etc). Worth a look.
shipyard, and resembles one we've seen the Cardies use in DS9. It's pretty decent on the poly count, and suits the needs of the Obsidian Order and their forces quite nicely. Download this one today.
it to be for a shipyard. Make sure you update your build lists in the shipyard's .ODF file if you're not using stock Cardassian ships. Worth a look.
and very worthy of a closer look in-game. Download these beauties right now.

lives, and those that do, are struck in awe at its beauty and size, and not to mention the payload it carries. Most, if not all, Retributions are millennia old, if not more. The battleships of the Gothic sector fleet are thought to be from the earliest days of the Imperium. Armed with torpedoes, broadsides of 12 cannons, lances, and smaller weaponry dotted about the extremely thick hull and encased in it's strong Void Shields, the Retribution battleship is not a foe to be taken lightly, and in Trek terms, it should take a fleet or two to take down at least.
A full mod here -- with a full set of details. Make the Immortal Emperor proud and download this one right now.
Worth a look.
in "A Time To Stand" (DS9), the ship consisted of a mostly-Excelsior design (I've referred to it in the past as "an Excelsior with its head up its butt") sporting a pair of Miranda/Constitution style nacelles on the side. Things weren't helped any by a second addition of this ship, in a subsequent scene, with the nacelles in a different position, and a third appearance with the hull re-positioned to be "tucked in" a little better. I've seen this ship, in Armada II, at least, being put to a series of uses that make it clear that nobody knows precisely what the heck this thing is for. Its long-body design, perhaps due to its reminiscence of a Great Lakes freighter, has seen it used as a cargo ship. Still others have used it as an assault transport. Also I've seen it employed as an artillery ship, apparently its overall redesign intended to mount some tricobalt or other long-range launchers. But the most prevalent idea for this ship's employment is as a through-deck carrier of the simple, kitbash variety. Something along the lines of an escort carrier, in modern naval terms. Pizza the Hutt has done some really intensive thinking about the issue (if the readme is any indication) and given us ALL THREE variants of the vessel. That's right-- three different kitbashes in a single package deal. One of these ships, the USS Shelley ---how appropriate that one of many "Frankenstein ships" out there is named for that novel's author-- is designed as a carrier, and Pizza the Hutt supplies an old Hornet fighter from SFC days for its exclusive use. There's also the unfortunately named USS Raging Queen (its name derived from a Saturday Night Live skit that, like so much of SNL, is otherwise long forgotten), which launches Type 4 shuttlecraft (a kitbash of Pizza the Hutt's own design) and serves as an assault transport. The USS Curry that's included, well, it just fits the bill. As with the rest of Pizza the Hutt's work, there's no lightmaps, but there are build buttons, wireframes, and other important details. This is a nice little package, and for the Starfleet completist who needs every canon or semi-canon or should-be-canon vessel out there in the mod community ---such as myself--- this mod is a must-have. Worth a look.
magnificent ship for the role. This design already existed in the Trek modelling community, being derived from the old FASA fleets.... back when "my fleet" referred to blister packs full of pewter and detailed information taken from rule books, rather than textures and meshes working from source code. Fireball_IV does not disappoint here. I've been watching the development of this ship in the forums, and now that I can see the final product, my verdict is simple applause. The glowing lightmaps, the detailed textures (although the shuttlebay looks slightly wonky), the brand new canon-based weapons with textures and sounds---- simply put, if this is the sort of quality work we can look forward to in Fireball_IV's upcoming Dawn of War total conversion, then anything else set in the TOS/TMP era will simply be put to shame. I've had no less than three occasions this month where I've been totally astounded at the work we're seeing in this community-- first Aad Moerman's Defiant, then FahreS' Intrepid, now the Ticonderoga. It's times like these when being able to watch the continued work being done with the admittedly unworthy Armada II engine makes me very, very proud to be an active member in a community many years removed from first release of this product. The fact that we're still getting stuff like this, regularly, is proof enough that we're not going anywhere for a long, long time. I highly recommend you download this one.
a USS Voyager hero ship that's simply spectacular. The quality of this model is as good, if not better, than any Intrepid we've yet seen-- but best of all, FahreS has included the warp-capable model of this ship with a fusion script that allows Voyager's warp nacelles to realign themselves in keeping with the original Intrepid model's design. That's something we've never really seen done quite this well before. This mod comes complete with the fusion scripts, the admiral's log pic, the buildbutton and wireframe, and specialized photons and phasers as well. Note that you can't use this to replace your stock Intrepid-- all the build names are USS Voyager because of how the re-aligning of warp engines relies upon fusion scripts. Nothing to be done about that. In theory, you could also modify this ship to launch the Delta Flyer or shuttles, use tricobalt devices or re-create the entire trip home across the Delta Quadrant. Nice quality Borg textures make alternate endings a distinct possibility, of course. But this model of the Intrepid class leaves nothing to be desired. It's that good. And it leaves us wondering where FahreS will apply his considerable modelling talents next. (If I could put a request in, I'd love to see his take on the Excelsior.) Download this one absolutely right now.
can't build on an asteroid. You have to build the asteroid, too. No reason you couldn't double this for use as a Maquis base. No reason you shouldn't download it, either.
everything Mishkaco recently ported to supplement our Bajoran friends (although those ships have to be downloaded separately), and comes with a rather nice set of textures, considering the age of the original asteroid model. Not a bad second chance at a first mod. Worth a closer look.
first converted the asteroid from the original SFC game, and built the station on top of it. Not bad for a start, and certainly worth considering as a concept. There's already talk of an upgraded version if this one gets supported, so go on and download it. The Prophets demand it.
incorporated design features from most, if not all, of its predecessors, notably the Excelsior and Constitution class designs. Yet she stood apart. If the Excelsior was intended at the time as a sort of early model Ford Mustang, and the Galaxy class as a high-end SUV, the Sovereign made herself the Ferrari on the lot. The ambitious design made itself great with its appearances in Insurrection and Nemesis (hopefully it was insured) as the Enterprise, but also in the game Bridge Commander as the USS Sovereign. Of course, we've seen them by the thousands in Armada, sometimes in lame "Sovvy rushes". But I'd be hard-pressed to remember a time, or a model, in A2 when the best starship that the Federation has to offer looked quite THIS nice. This model is Jetfreak's conversion of the well-known CG Sovereign from BC. It offers some nice features, notably a brighter hull, full speculars, and less poly than the P81 model of old. While some parts of it might rankle the true Sov worshipers among us (for example, I swear this model has headlights coming from just below the bridge), the fact is, it's the finest model of a truly fine starship that we've yet seen. It's days like this that I love being part of this community, 'cause it's SO good to see something this beautiful come to life. I highly recommend that you download this one right now, 'cause it looks spectacular. Jetfreak has shown us some truly fantastic work in the past, mostly via PotD submissions. I think I speak for all of us when I say to Jetfreak, "shine on, you crazy diamond".
Technology and development, the Talim Class design was designed to push the envelope of modern Cardassian ships at the time, with a new hull design and a new compact propulsion system. This version uses an installer for ease of installation.
there's an equal need for a "workhorse" design, beyond the tried-and-true Miranda class and the more advanced "mustang" ships such as the Akira class. In other words, the New Orleans class fills a gap that, for some reason, the DS9 producers preferred to give to the Miranda class. (Which actually makes sense if you think about it-- concentrated wings of exclusively New Orleans class ships would probably have made these 'tough little ships' prime targets for the Dominion.) At any rate, our very own Cyberash has put together a very well done model of the New Orleans class starship for your use in Armada II. While some details (such as the forward-facing-only torpedo launchers) aren't echoed in other models, others (like the lighting, especially on the lower saucer-- some fine work there) actually give this class a more stately bearing and a finer appearance than one might think it worth. However, if you want the "continuing mission", the price is eternal vigilance. And Ash's New Orleans class model looks more than capable in that regard. The only disappointment to be had here is that the .ODF and .SOD files, along with the textures, are all that's included. It's unfortunate that, in a ship with so many of the fine details included, the mod doesn't follow suit. You'll need to find your own build button, wireframe and admiral's log pic for this one, unfortunately. Of course, the other side of it is that you've probably already got this ship in your game (I know I do-- lots of fun to use in attack walls), but if you don't, you have some digging into other mods to do in order to find those important components. Love this class or hate it..... but download this model of it and enjoy.
launcher with forward and aft tubes. In addition, the Valiant is equipped with three short-ranged defensive phaser array. This weaponry and it's extreme maneuverability makes the ship deadly opponent for any enemy of the Federation.
This beautiful port from BC is one of those starships I've been secretly hoping and praying someone would render for A2-- and today k_merse makes my wish come true. The Valiant class comes with its own installer, inside of which is everything you need right down to the techtrees. A beautiful contribution from k_merse to the burgeoning numbers of near-future Starfleet vessels I'm ever so happy to see here at A2Files. Download this one right this minute.
for the sake of having 2 playable TOS races avaliable. I figured instead of trashing this work when i'm done, might as well release it to the community, perhaps it would catch someones fancy. This is a simple retexture with the regular textures, borg textures and admiral logs pic, everything else required is included in the game. Enjoy!
rotated hardpoints; new weapons and multiple languages for the .ODFs; wireframes, build buttons and admiral's log pics. The ships included are a TOS-era Miranda class, something like the Surya class, as well as an early Shanks class. There's also a truly splendid Antares-type shipyard, available in not one but two colours! They don't make mods much better than this, and FahreS has ensured this one will leave you asking for more. Awesome work, FahreS. Download this one today! - the Kid
freighters. Freighters can now warp and gather quicker - even with a full load of latinum. The new Nexum Mark Three is handy in single player missions, especially Borg mission 10, set in Fluidic Space. Now you mine in environments that don\'t have any moons, planets or latinum nebuale.
conflicts. Always good to get more maps out there for people to use, to edit, or just for ideas for your own maps. Looks like good stuff.
the ability to launch TIE fighters from Star Destroyers, including Darth Vader, in his special X1. He can transfer from any ISD2 to another, giving you the option of switching which vessel Darth Vader is commanding. The Dark Lord of the Sith has 3 force powers (special weapons) and the ability to board enemy ships/stations.
alongside Jar Jar Binks on screen. Unlike some poor others. I\'m looking at you, Naboo starfighter. Note that this is a SFC conversion which has twenty-four separate textures. Be advised that this one might cause some lag. Also, once again, there\'s no build button, and no wireframe. I really wish these had been included because they\'re part of what makes a complete mod. Especially considering that admiral\'s log pics *are* included. Note also that this ship is armed with some weapons, and capable of colonizing a planet. But other than that, a pretty red ship from an otherwise appalling film. Well, except for that lengthy lightsaber battle near the end. At least that was worth it. And this ship, kinda sorta, makes it all possible. May the Force --and this fine little ship-- be with you.
2532. Missiles and railguns alike are now this vessel's armaments, just like you'd expected. peanutbutter points out that "I have made the missile contrails blue, otherwise, it is difficult to distinguish raigun fire from the missiles, and like i had mentioned in the last readme, i am a lazy guy, and can't be bothered to go through the sprites tutorial." Either way, they look pretty good to me. There's also a speed boost special weapon, with its speed decreased to avoid going in constant circles. It'll only turn the crew into chunky salsa that way. ;) This one's a must-have for SG-1 fans out there. I know you're many, and so I'd hope will be the number of downloads for this awesome looking model.
them in combat. But Picard and Data used this as their means of escaping from the Scimitar during that film. Unfortunately, that you can\'t do right away. A good conversion by FahreS from SFC3, put together by mishkaco for your enjoyment. Worth a download.
breath-taking appearance in game as a result, the Century Class is probably one of maybe five ships I\'ve ever seen worthy of the name Enterprise. There is simply nothing better out there right now that so fully represents the proud heritage, and future potential, of the United Federation of Planets quite like this design. And k_merse\'s latest version does the design --and Starfleet-- just right. Get this one today. Even if you have the Century class already, get it again.
'Futurama'. Just take a look at the screenshots, I'm sure you will make your decision quickly. :) I really hope that we will see more of this stuff in the future, keep up the great work! - TParis
this ship. Best regards R5D5
it. There are some reference shots of the wraith cruiser from Atlantis included for anybody wanting a go at completing this.
\"mod\", if you will, in the Star Fleet Technical Manual, gave us variants like the Surya and the Federation class. When the Phase II designs were turned down, modders then witnessed, in the Motion Picture era, both a major refit to the Constitution, and had a variant handed to them, the equally ubiquitous Miranda class. With TNG came the Constellation class, and by then, other designs like the Akyazi, Akula, Abbe, the Ark Royal, and other such designs had become widely known. Even some of the \"frankenships\" of Wolf 359 had Constitution parts. In fact, by DS9, the torch for the Constitution class --er, that is to say, the warp nacelles-- continued to be carried in such designs as the Curry / Shelley class and the implausibly hideous Elkins variant. Not content to stop there, the mod community assumed that the United Federation of Planets, despite considerable evidence to the contrary, would maintain the very same passion for this design as we do. The results have been given to us in the form of the USS Shaandra elsewhere, and here, in this refit \"24th Century\" version, from VenerableDread. Considering this is one of VenerableDread\'s first released models, the efforts he\'s gone to in order to bring another new lease on life to the Constitution class are greatly appreciated. Fans of the original --and to many, best-- starship that Star Trek has ever had will want to call this model their own. Others may simply download this one because, hey, it\'s a new ship. Bottom line: download this one today. - the Kid
who has been very busy this week! At 2800 poly it\'s not a bad size for a flagship, although the texture sizes might be a problem for some. While this model might be a bit more underwhelming at first glance, due to its apparent lack of lighting and/or glows, at least it gives the community something new. Download this one today! - the Kid
27th century Federation. The download also includes borg and damage textures. Worth taking a look! :) - TParis
Battlecruiser). If you like old things in a more modern appearence, then this is for you. User submitted review by VenerableDread
that out a lot!!. This is the 8472 Battlecruiser, it is a kitbash between the Battleship and Cruiser - makes sense to call it the Battlecruiser then I guess :). Personally this thing kinda freaks me out, which is good. Why? well the front of the ship looks like 4 large arachnid\'s fangs..as if the battlecruiser is gonna eat your ships :). Seriously, the model is pretty good. It does incorporate the better parts of both the Cruiser and Battleship although it is more akin to the Cruiser than the Battleship.. It is not as big or as intimidating as the Battleship but it\'s got enough bite to do a lot of damage. A very nice ship thats worth downloading. - IKS
also uses animated bussard collector textures. The vessel includes TOS weaponry in the form of twin phasers and photon torpedoes all with new sounds and textures. Wireframes and a build button is also included.
of the class include T'Kumbra and Sutherland
Bonchune: Similar to the Nebula design with minor alterations. Similar versions of this ship appeared prominently in the latter stages of DS9 and while it actually appeared in "Message in a Bottle"
Phoenix: in this pack as fnebulasr this appeared in TNG: The Wounded. It's main features are the rounded AWACs Pod.
Melbourne: This is the famous Wolf 359 Nebula Class, it has two smaller nacelles mounted aft above the saucer.
Prototype II: The "original" Melbourne Class, this has the two minor nacelles protracted away from the main hull at aft while it's main nacelles are connected to a nacelle-holder that is basically the Galaxy nacelle-holder upside down.
Prototype III: This is a variation on the Prototype I (which is not here in this pack) but has elements of the original Nebula and Bonchune variants, basically the same AWACs Pod. As Shadow stated it appears in Sisko's office but was built as a predecessor to the Melbourne model for BoBW
This mod really is the essential Nebula pack for Armada 2, granted it's missing the Nebula Prototype I and the DS9 model which took part in the Battle to retake Chin'toka (Changing face of Evil). The quality is really good, almost perfect. Standing between 2280-2840 polys the models with their excellent but higher Res (512 x 512)textures might be too much for some but if you have a good PC then these are a definite download. Great work!
system from the Wraith. The model is excellently detailed, and the textures are very good; downside is it doesn\'t have any of the finish addons like ODF files, admiral pic, ship icon button..etc but if you treat it as a blank canvas you can do wonders with it. Personally if you want to get more skill and experience with modelling - an ungrouped ms3d model such as this is the perfect chance to mess around with, you could even make a fully fledged mod from it. - IKS
Multi Vector Assault Mode integrated, tanked up with some impressive armour and a bite that will cripple a Negh'Var it's shows the meaner side of Starfleet. Thanks to DocaCola and the FO team, the release of the Patch Project 1.2.5; MVAM and fighter deployment have been realized. This mod uses Deemon's Prometheus Class which is already available here, but obviously the fact you can separate the ship into 3 sub-vessels to pull the ears off of a few Romulans means it is a significant update on the original. The Quality of the model is the same but it's new features are definitely worth the use of bandwidth. Great work  - IKS
Mesh rather than a Mod I decided to park this in the 3D Mesh Directory on here because it doesn\'t contain a playable mod and it is more relevant to a mesh rather than the Stargate Mods. Obviously it doesn\'t have instant playability but you could, provided you have the skills, make this into a very quality mod if you are willing to work on it!. The Model itself is a good replica. It\'s not as detailed as some other instances of the Atlantis model I\'ve seen for other games but it does look extremely promising. Again, because it is not the finished product it is hard to guage exactly what it will look like ingame but I will definitely give it the benefit of the doubt. This model is from the Stargate Project which was mothballed recently.....info here No readme came with the file but ColdDarkParanoia stated via email that it has a free usage policy, therefore you can work away on this and release it for Armada or Armada 2 granted you still give credit to CDP. This is one for the Stargate fans - IKS
separate ones and then one that joins up the two themes) they look lovely and certainly will fill up the rank and roles of the Federation bases. High quality all around, they\'re a complete package lacking on Borg textures for total completion. The bases though are tuned to take on a \'full Dominion fleet\', so don\'t expect them to go down in a hurry (boasting strong shielding and no less than 40 weapons a piece) but are balanced on the resources side to compensate. Quiet, but deadly? Definitely. Runner up to FahreS, but still high in quality and use. Definitely worthy of a Federation build list.
experimental carrier ship, the Typhon (which was actually pretty small when compared to a Sovereign). Both needed each other and thus, many missions ensued with you in your ever-upgrading Valkyrie jumping from task to task like it was any ordinary day; from fighting the Romulans and aiding the Klingons, to fighting two thought-to-be-extinct races, an armada of Borg ships and because it has to, a renegade Starfleet captain (of the USS Sentinel, Sovereign class). Today, we get what made that game great. And no, that isn\'t fighters with quantum torpedoes (oh, that was fun). What is in here though is the Typhon class, with enough hull to punch through the enemy lines and enough shielding to deploy into Launch Mode and let the Valkyries loose (i.e. building them). The system is pretty intuitive, as you simply build the costly Typhon and as soon as it leaves the dock, you can change from Fortress Mode (with inaccurate pulse phasers, to relate to how in Invasion turrets were manned, not automated) to the Launch Mode where you can build three types of Valkyrie that play out slightly different. Not too much, but it is certainly discernable. The Typhon it self doesn\'t pack a punch, so simply pumping these out is not going to achieve anything note-worthy. Deploy with the Valkyries though and you have something of a powerful, albeit poor defense, attack force in the manageable Valkyrie fighters. Whilst it\'s a shame that the other variations of Valkyrie were included (there were 3 types) along with any of the multiplayer fighters and enemy craft from the campaign, what is present is nicely executed and gets the feeling across of gritty warfare. Textures fit the bill, along with the models and they\'re all complete with build buttons and wireframes, which certainly look the part. To really get the use out of this though, you really need to \'micro-manage\' your forces. You can\'t just build Valkyrie and expect them to do lots of damage. They will, but if you simply order them, they\'ll lose a lot of attack power as your forces get diminished and slowly, you\'ll find a drain on your resources becoming significant. Attack, control then retreat to the safety of your deployed Fortress Typhon. All in all though, very good fun. It\'s a charming little package, definitely.
Eagle class from vt1032, this one\'s a beauty. From Ex Astris Scientia, from which this class design originates: \"Most of the Eagle-class ships are currently equipped with a combined photon torpedo and long-range sensor pod. The original operation area was mainly well inside Federation space. During the Dominion War, almost all ships of the fast but moderately armed class were ordered to the Tholian and Talarian borders, where they successfully prevented incursions, largely without the support of other ships. Considering the recently necessary rearmament of Starfleet, it is expected that Akira-class starships will be the preferred design in the future, although Eagle-class starships fulfill all requirements.\" Only downfall for this one is that it has no wireframe. Atlantis also points out that he \"just took the ODF from the stock Sabre class and beefed it up a bit, to about 200% (give or take) for everything.\" So a little work to get it just right in the balance will be required. Unless you wanna make it a godship. But then most of us who play the game have no time for you anyway. Godships. Bah. :r Download this lovely new design today and make Starfleet proud. - the Kid
this map is certainly one of those maps. Created by TrevorPilkington, Delta Colony has got a nice setup to it. It is a four player map that has map units placed on it to add to the battle. The positioning of the players is quite good, with 3 players situated at three of the four corners of the maps with one player stuck in the centre. The main fight will probably shape up around the centre of the map where an unfortunate player is surrounded by 3 enemies but on the plus side has a wall of asteroids behind them and at least has an escape route through the asteroids into the expanse with the blackholes. However retreating into the expanse could cause you headaches as the second your ships loose engines or crew they will get sucked into the blackholes. The best tactic I can think of for this part of the map is retreat to the very top right hand-side of the map past the blackholes and radioactive nebula where you could adopt a siege mentality. A plus to doing so would be enemy forces entering/re-entering the nebula thus loosing vital crew members, becoming adrift and being sucked up by the blackholes. This is a good map, it has some interesting combat scenarios to dish out. :D Plus it actually has a story behind it too - IKS
need a counter for your NX-01, this would prove to be it, being the Klingons equivalent ship. Whilst technically for the Ent era, the three ships contained within are fit in to stock very snuggly. The three ships include the standard issue destroyer/cruiser, which boasts moderate weapons for its size and looks very stylish. Corresponding to that is the freighter variant, like the Bird of Prey mining variant seen on 'Enterprise', is the same basic shape as the main version, but boasts a bit of bulk in the neck for storing resources (Klingon ship-necks always did look a little weak anyhow). To finish off the trio, you get a refit version which takes its place as a definite cruiser, but looks the part of a more TOS style ship. As mentioned, all are perfectly balanced to stock, so take no harm in thinking they'll fall apart on sight of a single torpedo. In terms of content, it is pretty lack lustre, with just the bare minimum to get going. As a tech tree recommendation, the basic version would fit in upon completion of the first yard, whilst the refit with the first research station and the freighter as soon as you have a station up. So, whilst the actual content is certainly lacking, the quality definitely isn't, as both the models and textures look fantastic, especially for only the second mesh built from scratch for K7A. Besides, even if you don't personally like the model, anything to help bolster the slim Klingon forces on this site is definitely welcome. Klingon fans, this one is for you. For everyone else, your prey has just got a bit tougher.
and to use if they cant do it themselves. this ODF modification will let you smite your enemies with a cheap fleet of Ventures! they’re still weak as hell but at least this time you’ll die fighting!

Legacy model. Personally I think it looks like a cross between the "Hunter" and "Swarm" Classes from Legacy. I also think it could fit as a Federation ship from the Ent Era if refitted with Federation Textures. It is good to see Legacy inspiring mods for Armada 2, theres a lot of good material in Legacy that can be implemented in Armada 2 which can only improve this game! The mesh is built from scratch by K7A, and is his first attempt at doing so which makes this mod surprising given it's really good quality. It doesn't have build buttons or admirals log picture so some may feel it's not the complete package. For those of who out there who like the pointed-eared ones, this is a mod you must get! PS: According to K7A, it's unaffiliated with Dogs of War pending a decision by K7 to put it into DoW! - IKS
new in terms of models, but as simple .ODF mods go, you can\'t ask for much more. Well, okay, you really could. Like more powerful weapons. Each stock Borg Sphere has a single phaser and a torpedo launcher. The fusion cube fires eight beams (from eight cubes-- get it?) and NO torpedoes. It also maintains the standard \'regeneration\' special weapon. So really, it doesn\'t do a whole lot more than eight spheres working in a formation would do. It just does them in a bigger ship. At least it enjoys what I consider to be its most credible asset: a complete set of details (admiral\'s log pic, how to add the stock wireframe, easy to follow instructions). Give this one a shot if you\'re looking for something new from the Borg. - the Kid
copying slightly from the readme, these lower resolutions are for those of you have computers who might not be able to handle the higher resolution ones or, if you want the bigger space battles and want to reduce any lag caused by too many pixels on screen at once! Obviously, you need the BI:VR mod installed first but don\'t worry, the installation instructions are nice and clear so you shouldn\'t have any problem with getting them isntalled correctly. So, to re-literate: -For computers that can\'t handle higher resolution textures. -Easy Installation -Easy removal (if you upgrade your PC to run these good ships). Obviously, quality will decrease slightly but not to an unplayable amount, I expect these to still be quite detailed when looking up close (while you\'re building up your nice fleet\'s). Anyhow, what are you waiting for, if you want \'em, get \'em!
must be pretty proud of thunderfoot006 today, 'cause there is one hell of a warbird available for the Romulans in this file. thunderfoot006 has not only taken the original (a lovely SFC3 port by Sherman2) and made it shine, he included the original .zip for reference! And while it has all the shiny stuff you'd want in a single ship mod (balanced to stock game, Borg textures, build button, wireframe, Admiral's Log pic), it ALSO has modified .AIP files for both Instant Action games AND the single-player missions! How sweet it is! Now, if you like your techtree the way it is (and who doesn't?) you'll probably want to mod this one in manually-- but you can add this to a stock A2 build and boom! Instant glory for Romulus! In the readme, thunderfoot006 also mentions that "....credit is given to Sherman2, ChileTrek, and kel333. Without them, there would be no Hawk 1.1. ....they put a lot of time and effort into helping me out. I insist they are acknowledged." Maybe so, but let me acknowledge this-- if you have any intentions, now or ever, of uploading a file to A2Files, I strongly recommend you take a look at the organization and overall thoughtfulness demonstrated in this little .zip by thunderfoot006, because no matter how much you love (or love to blow up) this ship, the zip itself is simply beyond fault --it's awesome. And yeah, the ship itself is awesome, too. Very awesome. Scary awesome. Download it now! - the Kid
the newbie staff completely outdid himself in muffing the original review.) All your favourite details of the Excelsior class are here, and it's nice to see the "elder statesman" of Starfleet so nicely represented. Speaking of details, a brief note: Jetfreak went so far as to include two textures --one a "standard configuration" Excelsior and the other a "Dominion War Refit". You may think this means two .SODs, one for the Excelsior / Repulse style of Excelsior, and another for the Enterprise-B / Lakota style of Excelsior refit. This is not the case. The only evidence of a 'refit' comes in the form of some slight colour differences in the warp nacelle. If there were a difference present in the form of the .ODF then it might be justifiably so, but the difference in texture took me the better part of ten minutes to find. I could've found Waldo in that time, faster. (He's on deck 12, hydroponics bay.) :p It's on the nacelles, however, that the .SOD lets these textures down. Hugely. Notably glaring are the intercooler 'fins' on the Excelsior's warp nacelles (they're right on the back)--- they stick OUT of the warp grille!! The blue strip on the Dominion War Refit makes this particularly pronounced. Not Jetfreak's fault, of course. There's only so much you can do with a .SOD that old. But it stands out. Which, really, is where I'd have to ask Jetfreak: we've all seen your PotDs and the high caliber of graphics to which you've modded your A2, and we're all super-impressed. But surely there must be a higher-quality Excelsior model out there SOMEWHERE that'd be more deserving of such a beautiful refit. The octagonal not-quite-rounded low-poly saucer section is probably even more obvious on higher end computers than mine.... I realize Excelsiors are largely cannon-fodder by the DS9/VOY, so a low-poly well-textured Excelsior model is a welcome sight. Maybe a corrected .SOD to match Jetfreak's awesome textures is the next step. Worthy of a look, especially if you're still using 9of9's Excelsior. The original textures have NOT aged well, and Jetfreak's work here gives an old .SOD new lease on life. - the Kid
and come with new models, alpha channels, Borg textures and meshes. If you want something new, or are a big Romulan fan these ships will not disappoint! – K7A
damage to Federation interests on its own. Yet the Borg somehow need stations and support vessels to do their worst in A2. It doesn\'t make sense. Until now. Using an often-overlooked \"mamacube\" from the stock game, adm_tyler has given us the new Borg Command Cube. Not only does it contain more powerful (and more canon) cutting beams and torpedoes, but it also includes a multi-targeting holding beam capable of doing immense damage. This one vessel on its own is sufficient to take down numbers in your fleet. And does that ever make it intimidating. Note that I say \"intimidating\" rather than \"resistance is futile\". Because resistance, in this case, is a balanced game. Sure, it\'s got the abilit y to regenerate AND the ability to initiate transwarp portals on command, but it\'s also balanced to the stock A2 fairly well. It\'s not as impossible as Wolf 359, but not over as fast as Scorpion, Part I. That\'s the best way I can describe it. It\'s powerful without being a \'god ship\'. And it\'s easy on your computer, so you don\'t have to worry about it assimilating your operating speed while it assimiliates all your base. Everything you love about the Borg, or love to blow up, is yours in this cube. And best of all, it uses a stock model to do the job! And download Curtis\' Borg texture upgrade to truly enjoy it! So until the day when someone comes up with One Very Devastatingly \"Resistance Is Futile\" Borg Cube, this one does the trick REALLLLY nicely. Download it now and find out for yourself! :borg:  - the Kid
attack by the Borg when i was in the Space Center Bremen in Germany... Anyway, a really great design, much different from all the other Federation stations I have seen yet. I must say that shadow has done a perfect job in recreating this station for Armada 2. Ingame it is acting as an additional armed research station. Only problem could be the high poly count of the station, at least for slower systems. If you like rare official designs: download ASAP! Check the readme for more background information... Note that it is high poly, so make sure youve got the system power to run this. Thanks to Michael Kelly for converting this ship to Armada 2. DOWNLOAD!!!

Prometheus perfectly. A very nice ship thats worth a download :) - Mr. Greg -------------------------------------------- There's something to be said for the most downloaded ship (and one of the most downloaded anythings) on this site. You obviously can't obtain that status without having several key qualities. The obvious one is looks. It looks fantastic. Deemon's hard work pays off in a low-poly spectacular design that incorporates every major feature of the USS Prometheus, as seen in 'Message in A Bottle'. Due to its creation, it also doesn't cause slow-down when playing, making it a versatile fleet piece in the fleet. With its incessant speed, obliterating weaponry and strong defence, it brings the stock Federation up to 'Red Alert', whilst the enemy ships will likely be doing the same. Of course, that's not to say this isn't balanced, which it is. Whilst it comes at quite a resource cost (bar crew and officers) it maintains the need for a large amount of them, but controls the amount...slightly. That being said, leave the enemy to ponder and make a fleet of them (ie. 16) then, well, you're screwed, really. Whilst it might seem a bit bias to say that this is the best ship on the site, it certainly is way high up there and with such grace as well. This is a must download for any Armada 2 player. - Joelteon7

the Enterprise-era (the Challenger) overall, that isn’t a problem, just a small nitpick. If the nacelles on this little beauty were flipped to be on the under hull, she could almost pass as an Ent-era Miranda variant. Nevertheless, a very nice looking Ent-era ship for our collection!

it look any different. I think what really makes this good is the fact that it's the old Akula design but better...not that the Akula was bad, it's just this is very good. Fans of the old design won't see anything different, so don't worry about that, this will simply just make it a little prettier to look at. Remember also, it has all the standard stuff, including a nice admiral's pic (I personally think stations or ship submits without these is a little bit upsetting). Download now people!
look like the perfect strike cruiser but that one is up to you to decide. No mesh changes over the other Monarch subtypes but as the name suggests, it\'s the refit and the third in the line of the ships (note that, the J version is the standard Monarch class with some upgrades). Just be forewarned, this has a large build time. Part of the Monarch set, the \"Monarch Class\", \"Enterprise J\" and \"Monarch Refit\", all three ships can be in your game at the same time (though you might want to change the odf for the J to include the line about it being a hero, so it stands out a little more) which I think allows for more versatile gameplay. In terms of the performance of the three craft though, all are very powerful and this would, on a pinch, be the most powerful. It can easily defeat the standard Monarch with it\'s extra torpedo and increased hit points but would find a match in the J. That fight I strongly believe would go down to the \"first hit rule\", meaning that whoever gets the first shot will win, but not but just. The disadvantage this has over the J is the lower hit points for systems, which I can see as being the only way this would lose to the sister version. Up to you though, I suggest all three to be in your game.

mohawk classes, so credit to Terradyhne and Interstellar Machine, the original creators of these textures. The ship only uses the root hardpoint, so the physics of the ship may be slighty crooked. I have only included the standard tech file, so if you want the ship in free tech you need to make your own modifications.

close to the breif shot on the Enterprise episode, the textures are a bit of a put off (for me anyhow, don't know about the rest of you). Anyhow, included is the ship and textures, odf's and an admiral's log pic but does lack a buildbutton or wireframe. Perhaps the best course of action with this ship is to make it a map unit, it has that uniqueness to make it that. Otherwise, it's pretty free choice where you add it with the lack of any other install instructions (as a warning to those who rely on them). Recommend you put it as an advanced battleship, buildable in the second shipyard after all level 2 upgrades are researched. Still, the shape is all there, so, you should be able to get quite a bit of fun out of this.
fan of these 25th Century Ships, the model itself is quite impressive, and from what I've seen in the forums, there are more to come. ;) Forum Link: Mantis Class & Varients - SSA

I\'m telling you to download this. This is a Galaxy class and the dominion war refit by Michael Kelly, and these are superb. It uses Deemons texures for a base, but Michael managed to make them better. Also the venture refit with the necelle phaser strips adds color to the mod pack. I don\'t think that they have any other Venture refits out, but that\'s something I\'ll have to check. The weapons in the ODF file for the venture class are not stock, so you may have to change that to your own configuration settings. I highly reccomend a download, and I even made my own Storm 3D screenshot of the venture.

choice of some new nifty Federation vessels, along with a brand spanking new shipyard. All these models (to my knowlege) are from the game (just put together, or edited whichever) - The point is that this guyh as taken the time to go through them all, think up ideas, and then put them into practise. ;) Now, whilst most of them aren't to my personal liking, I urge you to download and try them out. ;)
Well, you can have it in Armada II as a replacement to your freighter. I highly reccomend a download. It\'s much better than stock and can fit well in an alomst stock and a highly modified game. As for the screenshot, It\'s a recreation of the first conquest mission I did for the Borg (Minus unity starbase)
said in the last one, I really like the look of this ship, especialy the necells. It just looks really unique yet it works really well. This file comes in an installer so its easy to use for those with a clean A2 install, but those with modded versions of A2 might want to read the install instructions file that come inside the zip.
beam thus they appear as bursts rather than one whole beam when firing. The staggering effect of these weapons is like an elongated pulse weapon and to be fair, I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed playing with these... This is definitely a good replica of the TMP Phasers, as seen in TWOK. Very nice ;) - IKS
screenie, this is a smart looking ship. See the readme for more information. Enjoy It!!!
are 3 fighters flying in unison. Well, that\'s because this mod as the Sparrow Class\' fighting as a squad. Pretty cool, huh? Whilst obviously one gets picked off rather easily, the three of them together can put in a little bit more of a punch before being toasted, which, they will. There\'s also a good bit of balance here as well. If you take a look at the ship odf then you\'ll see you could build an unlimited amount of them, due to the non-existent officer count. Don\'t fear though. They\'re relatively expensive for what they\'re worth and truly will only be powerful against ships, especially in swarms. With a damage base of 2 (in scale, a Sovereign stock has roughly 90) you\'re only going to be doing damage in a group, whilst being picked off by larger capital\'s. It\'s a nice set too. All content is there and looking clean and refined whilst the textures make the very low poly ships look pretty nice. Don\'t expect them to look fantastic at zoomed-in angle\'s, but they get the job done and do that well. All in all, a pretty nifty little set. My only irk is that a Sparrow Class wasn\'t available to use separately, meaning you have to use the combined 3, but it\'s hardly a big problem. At least this way, you won\'t lose your small fighters in a pitched battle. I\'d say these were best used early on when ships are weak and later on as cannon fodder against defended installations, allowing you to take out defences providing a much easier (and safer) job for your capital\'s to sort out.
http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Puddle_Jumper;57622 http://armada2.filefront.com/file/;57856 This version is based on Dkealt and Dave975's Ancient Alteran Puddle Jumper from Bridge Commander however the Poly count has been drastically reduced to suit Armada2's gameplay. This model stands at a reasonable 1,000 polys instead of the massive 24,711 poly count of the BC version. Even for the poly count reduction the model is very detailed and looks great ingame. For those of you who are not Stargate fans but like the look of this vessel then I suggest using it as a Romulan shuttlecraft. It is fast and highly manoeuvrable so it would fit in nicely as a spybot or drone for covering enemy territory. This vessel would definately look the part alongside a Talon during "cloak and dagger" missions. :) (although the 3 Atlantians in the cockpit isn't very Romulan, so maybe not then :p) - IKS
Till the End of Time' mod for Armada 1. Ye, maybe it's just me but i must say that this blue baby just looks damn cool  and it will definitely catch your eye on the battlefield. It does a nice job in skirmish and seems well balanced for its high costs and build time. Armed with some strong dual pulse weapons & torpedos at the front it can take out most stock ships in a few seconds. Additionally it got some kind of 'uber phaser', the Creation Canon which does a lot of damage to a single ship or station; the ships itself can take a whole bunch of it :mepimp: . New weapon textures, wireframe and build button are included and be sure to check the readme for some interesting background information. Worth downloading! - TParis
Both Worlds' Part 2. You could see 3 of them for few seconds while the Borg Cube was passing Mars (but the big boy took care of the missiles very quickly :D ). Additionally you are getting a new armed production structure for the missiles. Both models have a high poly count. - TParis
which would neatly slot into this missing part of history. This is one such example and a fine one at that. The Vor'reel is the Romulan’s answer to both the Federation Ambassador class and the newly constructed Klingon Vor'Cha class, but as is displayed in the readme, whilst the Vor'reel 'did the job' at the time, it was growing more apparent that something else was needed to bolster the Romulan imperial navy; enter the D'Deridex. As instructed, this ship would not be as powerful as the D'Deridex but would be likely on terms and perhaps more powerful than the Vor'Cha and Ambassador, meaning it still has quite a realm of power, as reflected in the odf's. Given two disruptors and a heavy plasma torpedo (watch out bases!) along with a re-enforced hull, the ship will be quite a knock-down, but she does take a long time to build. Nevertheless, she packs a punch. Players of 'Legacy' may find the design reminiscent of the Romulan TMP battleship in it, but I believe this wasn't the intended case. It does indeed look very nice and fits in with the era well and complements to the well-incorporated Borg textures which many mods lack. Complete with build button and wireframe, the only thing missing is indeed an admiral's pic, but that doesn't take too long to do and you can make your own one (I always find that to be fun anyhow). All in all a very decent ship that should play well for a race that doesn't have too many ships going for it (well, compared to the Federation at least). I'd recommend using it for strikes en masse, but don't rely on it to hold its own in a prolonged fire-fight. It's very powerful torpedo will give it an edge entering combat, but its reload time will harm you. The ship also comes with optional high resolution textures to make the ship look even better making this advisable to download.
in the fleet (slower only to the Prometheus) being able to hold its own in conflict (\"she\'s no Galaxy\" but she held out against the Borg) and to house all of its crew comfortably (yes, even Neelix). Even though she\'s a bright design and a loved ship, we only have had two versions of it on the site (Deemon\'s and P81\'s)...until now! Think of this as the mid-way version. It\'s generally better quality than Deemon\'s but not as high as P81\'s. Its poly count is in between the two. It can run on mid-range PC\'s, but it\'s more than just \'the middle\'. Do we like it though? Well, I think the model is great and so to are the textures, but I can\'t help but think that there\'s just that \'something\' off with them. They\'re off a high standard, especially for a conversion, but something doesn\'t sit well with me about them. This doesn\'t mean to say though that I don\'t like it, as I do, definitely. However, when does my opinion out-do all of yours? I\'m sure many people will love this and they\'ll say to me \"how can this NOT be your favourite?\" but, to each their own. Included are low and high resolution textures allowing you to pick for your computer accordingly and necessary files to run it. Other than the model and textures, an odf is included to account for all hard-point changes, but it\'s the same Intrepid, stats wise, that you\'ve been using since the game came out. A recommended download and worthy replacement (and new option) for the bright Intrepid class. Definitely worthy.
this, is that a destroyer should have 1700 polies, with a 1024x1024 texture set, but I\'m sure that wont be a problem on these modern computers. - Ash
thanks for making it game worthy, and gets the credit as file author. Seems he has done a fairly good job at sorting it out too. :) I\'ll let you guys rate it and such. - Ash
there hasn't been that much of a change of the preferred Armada Prometheus of choice. That however may now change. Bridge Commander can bless us with some truly innovative designs, it can also provide the chance for someone to do nice looking versions of craft that you may not be able to get away with in other games (such as an RTS game...called Armada) but what if you reduced its resource want and converted it to Armada? Would that not look awesomely awesome? Well...errr, make up your mind with the pics below! Whilst not odf'd to be as strong as Deemon's version (something of a battlecruiser) this cruiser fits into stock with being quite resource heavy, but packs an almighty punch with weapons the same as the stock Sovereign. Whilst that may not sound like much (remember, stock Galaxy is superior to the Sovereign) on a cruiser, this would make it among the most powerful, if those damn Sphere's didn't regenerate! Anyhow, this is a nice full pack, looks lovely and caters for all your Prometheus needs. Definitely a worthy download.
that, this comes with Kirk Sounds, I presume from the TOS shows, though some movie quotes may be included. Regardless of all that, this would be a sure download for each and every TOS & Kirk fan. ;) - Ash
via Fleet Operations of Future Wars. For me, whilst uncanon, it looks quite nice. Has the reminence of an Intrepid Class, along with some fancy other bits and pieces scattered around. Can\'t say I\'m too fond of the \'Weapons Pod\' - I find too many ships have that, when not suited, regardless, this is a fine addition to the Federation Fleet. - Ash
get stuff from modders who don't frequently submit stuff and come out with absolute wonders. Needless to say from that, this is definitely the latter. Contained within are no less then 6 completely new (and one revised) non-canon ships...they all look great. Ranging from your fighters and shuttles to your large test-bed's and heavy cruisers, this pack almost looks as if it's segments within Starfleet. By this, I refer to the insignia's and designs, almost as if they belong to a group (think of Red Squadron and Valiant). Whilst this immediately caught my eye, I realised that it does make a lot of sense. Don't think that these craft are the pleasantries of the Galaxy and Excelsior, these are the Defiant's and Sovereign's of Starfleet and once again, they look great. Obviously it'd take a long time to individually review 8 ships, but there are general things that definitely should be pointed out. From what I've noticed, they do seem to be relatively balanced with stock. To the degree that the shuttle would get destroyed by a Bird of Prey in no time, whilst the largest craft would handle wtih severeal BoP's at once. Content is all there too. Build button's and wireframes for every craft and admirals pic's (very actiony, you'll see what I mean when you download this, which you will) which is a nice feature and displayed, the poly counts are not very high whatsoever, as in they stick well within stock counts. What does this mean? Well it means that you could, if you wanted to, build hundreds of fighters and shuttles with no loss of quality of gaming, likewise if you wanted fleets of the big cruisers, that'd be no problem. No stone has been left unturned. In fact the only thing I've noticed wrong with this pack is the fact that there isn't a lovely shipyard to go with these, which I think would be utterly appropriate. To focus on a few of the ships, my personal favourites are the Metropolitan class, labelled as something of a stepping stone before the Ambassador whilst looking very cool and maintaining the fact of being before the better Ambassador class, the Starchaser class is big and bulky and still looks utterly awesome, whilst the Stormrider, the nifty fighter, looks to fit the bill well. Heck, they all look good, no faults with any. This pack also contains instructions as to how to create small variants (eg. carriers) and some new textures for weapons. This is an absolutely brilliant pack and without a doubt worthy of your download. Excellent work on this one.
kind of long range that would\'ve destroyed Voyager in the Delta Quadrant if fired from the Alpha Quadrant...okay, not that long, but it easily spawns the width of any of the stock maps and then-some. Replacing the Keldon plasma-bank overload special, it boasts an astronomical damage rating but slow recharge rate and annoyingly long transport speed (as in, it doesn\'t fly very fast). Whilst it isn\'t wholly balanced, it does make for a bit of fun when picking off enemy stations. Game-play though, whilst yes it can make it easier, you need a \'spotter\' or reconnaissance vessel to find a desired location to target. As such, I don\'t believe such a technique has been done before. Sure, having a scout in the enemy base let\'s you see where to target and this partially works for the standard artillery ships (to which this weapon I think would be more fitting to) it doesn\'t get used on such scale. As such, I like it. I don\'t think it is wholly balanced, but it does bring something a little new to the plate and a new weapon is a new weapon.
Ultimate Dragon. A wonderful piece of work this is ;) - Ash

She takes a very long time to build but has over 20 weapons ports (less than the other highly anticipated Klingon ship, which has somewhere in the region of 42) that prove that this goliath of a ship can hold its own. Whilst the initial design was my own, Achilles has taken it (and it was simple, very simple) and made it a shape of its own, although possibly wavering on the side of the Imperials from Star Wars, but keeping it Romulan. The stunning texture job also helps. I mean, look at the Romulan writing on the side of the wings? In short, the whole thing is great. Not to put down other designs of course because there were some very innovative, fun and downright silly (yes, I'm talking about the Klingon-cannon!) ships that all took our eye, but unfortunately some were not entered, however I'm sure we'll seem them in the future, so look out for them! Actual contents in this file are model, textures, extensive odf's (main plus weapons) complete with build button and wireframe on the end. As mentioned previously, she is balanced in cost and time (over a minute, enough time to put the kettle on or to grab a donut) but will give the enemy what-for. Expect them to be un-happy when you run one or two of these into the enemy base. Of course, that's not to say she isn't a target. She may have a cloak, but she is huge, don't forget that. Still, it's all a bit of fun and we give this winner full marks! Download now for birthday treats!
Excelsior Refit model around, it is a low poly one, and with that, shouldn\'t be any problem for those of you with lower spec machines. - Ash
best of ones to use, these are adequate for the ship in question. :) Do also note, this is not the same model as the previous Starhawk Destroyer. Whilst the same idea, the model and texture are different. Developer Name Not Added due to the fact it hasn't been included in either the e-mail, or ReadMe. Likewise, the screenshots included are within the .ZIP file. Seeing as they weren't in the required .JPG format, they've not been uploaded. - Ash
and while perhaps I would prefer a darker hull for the bit more of the sly and dark Romulans, it\'s a very nice texture with plenty of details to which the (high poly) model is certainly befitting. Hey, it even comes with a shiny build button, admiral\'s pic and wireframe! It fits into your early Romulan ships before your first research. She\'s packed full of weapons, but do not expect her to last for long. Perhaps being a remnant of the TMP era has decreased its durability? Regardless, she\'ll be good for hunting packs, to cloak, run over to a small installation, decloak and blind the enemies, unload a salvo or two on the intended target and cloak away and retreat. She won\'t last in sustained combat either and her building resources certainly balance out the large amount of power. What you can count on this ship for would be a heavy scout patrol early on before the higher cruisers and battleships come out. All in all, a very nice and balanced craft that looks the part and fights it. Certainly a recommendable download for Romulan spy\'s.
have been many of the stations the Federation created in and around the orbit of planets. Now, my only fault for this file, is that it doesn't actually come with a screenshot (it has an Admirals Log picture) but that doesn't count. Looking from that however, you can see what appears to be ocean, and land on the inside of the complex. Quite extraodinary if I may say so. :) A job well done, by far ;) - Ash
what we already have in Armada. Yes they're high poly and have big textures, but my gosh do they look like they're going to tear through some Cardassians! Whilst the download size might be daunting, it's explainable as you're not downloading 2 ships, but 5! You have the standard Galaxy class ala TNG alongside the phaser nacelle variant seen in DS9. The Nebula's get it better though as you have the Melbourne warp nacelle variant, the weapons pod of the Sutherland and the sensor pod of the Phoenix. I actually think the Nebula's look that bit better than the Galaxy's, but that's not to say the dreadnaughts don't look nice, because they really do. Balance is also not an issue. Whilst it might be taxing on the very weakest of PC's, these ships fit perfectly in to the stock game however the additions do lack wireframes, and Ai script, there are plenty available to already get a hold of. Also, stock weapons are still the same, along with every other statistic, special weapons have been distributed. Now, the Nebula's play less of an over-view special weapons ship and require more management. The Galaxy's are given the Engineering team special, whilst each of the Nebula's has the other 3 specials catered to their unique design. Add to that canon names for all the ships, you really do have a great mod. This is certainly recommendable. (Note, also includes admiral's pic images for the previously released Cardassian Galor and Keldon classes) -J7
guess it would be in the form of a fix or something. As with all the past stargate mods, stargate fans will no doubt want it ;) - Ash
Those of you that have been paying attention on the Forums will have seen this ship before, in the thread I created about poly reducing, and then re-releasing her. Everything should be in order with this one, at least, everything I've done. You will need to add it to the Tech Tree & AI Files etc if you expect it to work fully, though for what I've provided, it'll work fairly well with. Again, a ship that I may have in Zero Hour (along with the Achilles), though that is still undecided. I trust those of you that download and use this will get your enjoyment out of it. ;) - Ash

A couple of weeks ago we held a poll on the POTD's:- http://armada2.filefront.com/news/PoTD_Poll_Results;29115 which came out with DONUTS being one (1) singular vote away from being the order everybody wanted the POTD's posted in. Yes, we were wondering ourselves... Anyway, in retaliation I posted up this POTD:- http://armada2.filefront.com/potd/67459x#1006869 hilarity ensued. Then at no.11 Falcon posted:- #11 - wow! - Posted by: Falcon_uk (Member) on 09-07-2006 at 11:49 GREAT GRAPHICS!! Love the phaser fire and the romulan class donuts!!! 10/10!! Which gave me an idea... #12 - Posted by: Freyr (Armada 2 Files Staff) on 09-07-2006 at 12:08 WANTED One moddeler to create the "Donut" class confectionery. Ideally this class should be plain when constructed and chocolate covered when assimilated. Fahres has rose to the challange and produced not only a Donut, but a Donut box as well! As you can see from the pictures this is great! Producing the donuts (even chocolate coloured when assimilated!) was great, and worthy of a ten all by itself but the Donut box is just pure brilliance! The writing on the bottom of the box was really the best thing added to the Donuts in terms of sheer humor :) Unfortunately the filefront system won't allow me to mark things up as 11 or 12, so I am having to content myself with 10.
something not related to Trek every once in a while, even if it is a plane from the 21st century ;)
\"KOTR II The Sith Lords\" but it is aptly named. KOTR was set around four thousand years before the Star Wars films, so this ship should probably be a little weaker than that Imperial Class Star Destroyer :) This ship class served, at a minimum during the Mandolorian invasion, and again during the \"Jedi civil war\" (or more accurately the Republic & Jedi vs Sith war) It was still in use some years afterwards, when a fleet managed to hold off the Jedi vessel Ravenger that was salvaged from the orbit of Malachor V by a sith Lord. While the Hammerheads were unable to damage the Ravanger they did buy enough time for the famous Jedi \"Player\" to board and lay several proton bombs that destroyed the ship.

Anyway, one to download if your a fan of the Asgard :) - There is an additional readme by wraith shadow in the actual download. The result, along with some finely done nacelle and impulse spire glows makes for a re-make of a classic and brilliant ship. As seemingly normal with Greathor\'s stuff, unfortunately there is no build button, admiral\'s pic or wireframe for this beauty of a ship re-make, so you\'ll either have to use old stuff or make some of your own. Its odf though makes it very powerful against stock stuff and includes custom weaponry which you\'ll most likely have to change to fit in with the game. I recommend reducing its build time, health and hitpoints and giving it weapons equal to that of an Akira. If you\'re adding this into the stock game, she should probably go into your advanced yard, in front of the Aegian but underneath your Galaxy class (just make sure it is a little bit stronger than the Akira). If this is going into a customised game, then I you\'ll want to put it again, alongside next your Akira (or underneath your Ambassador class if you have one). Irregardless of where it should go, I recommend downloading it, now!
cost of the ship is very low it would appear that this ship class is designed for suicide attacks on larger ships and stations. Given the power of the self destruct versus how many of these you can build for the cost of a single destroyer I would imagine that this could be quite painful to anybody on the receiving end of a suicide charge. I am not quite sure if this really suits the federation though, this seems more like a Klingon weapon (and even then I would have expected SOME weapons onboard apart from a bit bomb)
kudos to Twitch!
also come from the stvssw mod.
seem to be a little too far extruded from the main hull but I'm sure you can learn to live with that. The actual model though does seem pretty sound and screams for some fighters to be screeching out of its hangars but alas that cannot be done at the moment. In the mean time, she'll make up for it with her combat skills and size to weed it's way through the smaller ships. Best assigned as a dreadnaught for the Federation so you can limit its build amount yet keep it on field. Anyhow, like all high poly models, ones such as this done to a high standard, they're best used for special screenshots or re-enactments, so if somebody wanted to do a big space battle, such as any from Atlantis or SG-1 they'd be able to plop it in from the map editor. More importantly though, this is the developer's first mesh and with such a good job done, I can only hope we see ever better material in the future. Definite thumbs up from me. Warning, this is a high poly model
with quite a few others, the Pegasus variant of the Achilles Class Stargate Dreadnaught looked as if it had more charm, more grace and a bit more awesomeness tucked away in its textures. I can assure you, that definitely haven't changed. In fact, it seems each of those factors has been dramatically enhanced with this equal-high-quality version of the Milky Way variant. This ship, like that one, boasts some very nice new features, including additional polys used to make the design more independent, including the "base"-flat thing on top of the design standing out more than the original retrofitted version. Simply, it's a texture upgrade over the other high quality design, but what a variant! Same problems as the other though, involving the lack of a wireframe, build button and admiral's pic which I assure you is the only downfall of the mod. I seriously suggest those who feel higher poly models aren't a problem get this immediately because it's just oh-so-good to look at in-game. It's real dominating sight, then again, it's a dreadnaught; it's supposed to do that! Stargate fans, there's no but to this, download this ship immediately!
quality alternative for those who think the original was just mildy lacking and and can run it. This does seem slightly closer though to the more canon Stargate design. The "base" type thing on top of the ship fits in with the BC-304 line (or the Deadalus Class) and the added radar and spike things give it more of an individiual feel. I say this as it seems to stand out more than on the original version. That is something else particularly interesting about this version, in that it still fits in with the rest of the Tau'ri space fleet, yet is it's own ship, with it's own devastating array of weaponry and funky extra parts. As with the older design, be sure that this will kick some serious ass and to give other Stargate ships a run for their money, bar maybe the Ori ships. Well, regardless, now you have a chance to try it out! Fantastic work and a job well done. Stargate fans, this is simply a must have for your collection.

wich does look a little strange, i would like to have seen that been a dark blue maybe, or just slightly lighter, it seams to stand out, however it does look pretty cool with this new colour and the overall mod is pretty neat.

Rake's disruptors, a special weapon, everything! This will perfectly fit in with the other Romulan ships done by Pepperman as well, so you can truly bolster your Romulan armada now with a fleet of brand new ships designed to safe-guard the Romulan territories. Obviously, as a cruiser, you'll want to make sure it's balanced to that, say of an Akira or Excelsior. I'd hazard a guess and say this was meant to be more powerful and almost as quick as an Intrepid, so if you can balance it to that, you should get some pretty decent game play out of it. All in all, it's a fantastic ship to add into your game, don't hazard a wait on the download.
make more sense now! Anyhow, it\'s always good to get a tutorial as it invariably bolsters modding by other people which I think is great. Granted, I cannot do any of this stuff, this will be ideal for people wanting to add a bit more of that \"kick\" to their mods. The tutorial itself though is detailed and comes with plenty of pictures to show you where to go as well as having easy-to-understand language for the un-initiated. As can be seen on FahreS\' mods though, adding in these features can add quite a bit to mods and I\'m all for the knowledge being shared. So, for those of you wanting to add a bit more, just thumb through this and see what more you can do than before looking at it!
Still, a nice little ship we have here, if not a little dark (though that may just be the game situation). - SSA

then its time to get one. This includes EVERYTHING, weapon textures, sounds, build buttons and the picture for the admirals log. All in all the only conceivable way this could be any better is if included Asgard voices for commands.
your probably not going to notice it to much! This is a nice addition to the growing stargate armada we have here, and I think at this point its only a matter of time before we see some stargate (TC) mods coming out.
just don\'t expect one of these to go toe-to-toe with one of them because it\'ll be simply obliterated. That would obviously be a shame for such a finely done ship here by Greathor. It\'s set-up for being a scout with a quick build time, few resources and low defence rating but do not underestimate these in groups as like any swarm, they can be absolutely deadly. Talking about the quality of the mod, it certainly looks good and is a decent replica of the on-screen CGI version. It comes with a build button, wireframe and admiral\'s pic which also up-hold its quality. There isn\'t that much more to say on this. It\'s good, by all means, but perhaps just lacking that \"wow\" factor to make it really stand out. Regardless, for Stargate fans, this\'ll be a must have and for non-Stargate fans...if you want a cargo ship to blow-up...you\'ll be wanting this.
that are the Ori Invasion craft that crippled an assembled fleet of Milky Way galaxy ships very quickly and taking little to no damage. The term unstoppable comes to mind in fact. Expect these ships to pack an almighty wallop. Having seen the episode, \"Crusade\", I was curious to look at what had been done to the odfs of the ships and the weapons...these make the stock Fusion Cubes look like cannon fodder. They are immensely powerful in terms of amounts of weapons and the power of them. The only advantage you\'ll have is to hit them incredibly hard, incredibly quickly but be prepared to lose half your fleet in the process. In terms of the rest of the mod, it\'s all great. The model is very accurate with some real sterling textures to go with it. Build button, wireframe and admirals pic now as standard in these mod packs along with all essential details required to get the mod going and beating up everything. My only thoughts are now to what Greathor will produce next...what is there left in the Stargate universe to do?? Stargate fans, you\'ll want this for re-creating the infamous \"Crusade\" scene. Non-Stargate fans, you\'ll want this for a challenge.
details, please look at that link.
been looking for this ship for as long as I have. A reccomended download.
in my opinion. It\'s majestic design yet brutal yield make\'s it a prominent destroyer, easily capable of destroying bigger ships, providing they work in a similar style to the Galor \"wolf-packs\" of three ships. Of course, this power does not make it a God ship for it has many draw-backs: it\'s built out of the first shipyard (providing you don\'t edit it) as part of some late research, it has a weak hull and moderate shielding. But as mentioned above, it\'s yield of four photon torpedoes and a cruiser phaser array, coupled with the swooping movements of it\'s fast speed\'s and cloaking device will make it a force to be reckoned-with. As mentioned in the readme, the Jagged-Edge class ship was born from the success of the Defiant project, which we all know worked to a great success. In fact, my only gripe with this ship is that it need\'s it\'s Crimson Fleet sisters to make it whole, otherwise it stands out, but let your enemy worry about that as they will have to contend with it, not you! Finally, as a ship to add to your masses of Federation shipyards, I say so. It has somthing that unfortuenately, quite a few designs (including canon ones) lack, and that is originality. However, one must get formal. These changes were made to the file after I recieved it from Capt_Syf: -After being instructed to test it by Syf and not finding the problem, Kel took it and had a look, giving back to me the mod in folders, so you can now extract-and-play with little hassle. This means the gui_global entry in the readme is incorrect, but I shall leave this as it is as the gui_global with the entries is already in there, along with the fyard and some tech tree files. -I added an Admiral\'s Pic while testing it myself, so that has also been included for your use. -Please note, the material\'s included are otherwise all Syf\'s, so please take this into account. If you want to gain permission for this, go to him, this work was done as extra.
installer, wireframe, buildbutton, admirals log pic, and techtree mods, making this a full one-ship mod, done once again by Porty. A reccomended download for any fan of the federation.
commander, and the same goes for A2. A very nice, detailed ship this is.
for Armada II. All in all, a handy feature. I can see it being very handy and it did look pretty easy to follow. Just open the .exe and away you go!
the enemy ship specifically targeting and doing hard damage to the crew on board. Whilst I would see the Federation not using this due to ethical reasons, I could really see it being used on a Romulan or Cardassian ship (covert operations, right?). The weapon textures are edited stock, with a blue torpedo and a red trail, which I have to admit, does look pretty funky/cool. All in all, it\'s not at the same level as the other special weapons TA has made, but it has it\'s own use (well, a gemini wave of assault ships with these against a fusion cube would be a nasty surprise, that\'s for sure!) and if applied well, could be pretty fun. Weapon lovers, get this.
hope everyone enjoys this, and wait just a little longer for AVM v5 now the patch is released!! (it stops it from looking like an NX) http://www.armada2files.com/file.info?ID=7135
model, as usual :). I highly recomend a download, although you do have to make your own odf.
battleship. Designed to be one of the Anti-Borg ships (such other ships include the New Orleans and Cheyenne that fought in Wolf 359 and the later ships that proved to be more successful, including the Akira and Defiant) but wasn't ready in time for the Wolf 359 battle. Flagship of the fleet with its power alone (never mess with a ship that has torpedo tubes going into 2 digits and fires quantum torpedoes)...so it's apt that it is blessed with a great model in this game. Admiral's Sovereign is a real beauty. You don't need me to tell you that though, the screenshots below really do not do it justice. Low in poly (just above the stock Sovereign, in fact) its textures allow it to shine through (of which there are two sets, one shown below and a darker one for those who perhaps want the more militaristic feel to it). This isn't limited to the ship itself. The texture for the Corbomite Reflector has also been edited and is a lot more clear-cut and defined....and generally cooler. That pretty much sums up this mod; it's better. Just so much better. The only erk with it and I believe it to be a valid one, is that with its new weapons it can become slightly un-balanced (as in Borg killer un-balanced) but what's a Battleship without the ability to kick some ass? This is a must-have for anyone who plays this game.
(new sprite effect included) even though it might seem slightly...well very dwarfed compared to one (look at the pics if you don\'t believe me). Still, she looks very nice with some very crisp textures on a model which does a very good job of replicating the CGI version seen on the show. In terms of the mod itself, it comes with a nice full complement. It contains a good looking admiral\'s pic, a wireframe and a defined build button. She will most likely be balanced to other Stargate ships and/or be very powerful, so don\'t underestimate the power of this ship, but don\'t overestimate it either -it\'s a cruiser, not a battleship. Regardless, this will be good for recreations and is a must have for Stargate (Atlantis) fans.
BoP). - SSA
seasons. This is the model that first destroyed an obselete Asgard ship, forcing the Asgard to curtail operations in this galaxy until the Replicator war turned in the Asgard\'s favor.
very cool. This isn\'t any different. She can fight, she looks VERY cool armed with a close mesh to the original and some very good textures with some fine details, so it\'s a shame to some extent that they aren\'t going to be noticed as much due to its size. Most likely rigged so that a \"wing\" of these can take out a Ha\'tak, they will be powerful in numbers, but don\'t expect them to be able to do anything useful as a single unit other than harass a non-combat ship. Similarly to the 302, I recommend you get one of the Tau\'ri cruisers to build these from the hangars. The package comes with a build button (which looks as good as the 302), a wireframe and an admiral pic for both the 301 AND the recently uploaded 301. So, if you want a bit of variance with the fighters you have or merely wish for a full-house of them, download this now.
inspired space fighter for the Humans, carried by the cruisers and on facilities on Earth and the numerous support stations across the galaxy. Whilst obviously, they lack the sheer power, as a single unit, to take out a large target, when massed, they can cause heavy damage to the target, even if it is a huge Ha\'tak (though probably not Asguard and certainly not the Ori). These would now be ideal to be added to one of the cruisers, say the Prometheus or Odyssey and launched from their hangar bays. In terms of overall mod quality, the model and textures look very close to the originals seen on-screen and do look god, even if you would need a magnifying class to spot the finer details. She comes equipped with a wireframe and a very nice buildbutton but an admiral\'s pic you\'ll have to make (let\'s be honest, it\'s hardly difficult). Generally though, she is certainly a nice ship to have equipped and would be perfect for Stargate fans. Download now.
mesh that is befitting of them. It really will help now for any re-enactments you wish to do from the series. My suggestion, for those who have and want, is to get this building Wraith Darts. That way you could have a fully fledged battle, providing of course you chuck in some F-302\'s. The possibilities are huge. In fact, this mod is so good, the only thing it doesn\'t come with is an admiral\'s pic, which is ludicrously easy to make. What really will get the user though are the nice details. The very good looking blue pulses seen in the screenshot ARE included in this pack. There\'s a buildbutton, scaled to fit and a wireframe that takes it that step further with perhaps a literal approach to \"wire\". In terms of an overall mod package, this is one of the best I\'ve seen for a while, combining details, content and sheer good looks. Stargate fans, beware. A big bad ship has come to wipe out Atlantis. Think you can take this on?
and ohhhhh boy, does it do it nicely! Gavin has ported the SFC3 Klingon Starbase, given it some very shiny new textures, added some Borg textures, made a wireframe, buildbutton AND admiral's pic and, of course, given it a lot of weapons. That enough for you? I'd have to say, the quality of the textures, both sets, are very good and the installation instructions are a breeze. It also comes with a clear hardpoint map, in case you want to make a few edits. My suggestion would be to really, just replace the old Starbase with this one, or, if you're not happy with that, to make this one an outpost, as it suggests, able to hold a location until the big'guns arrive onto the scene for clean up. Make no mistake, a Klingons life lives in its weapons and you can be safe to have this in-game now. For Klingon fans, this is a must have for the few stations available to them and for non-Klingon fans...well, if you want to try your hand at blowing up something very strong, here it is...just don't be too confident of your success!
all, it\'s fitted to the Sabre Class. ;) - SSA
mod includes ALL mod files (build button, wireframe etc, it's all there) except the tech tree, gui_global and shipyard lines, which are in the readme for ease to install. I would say more, but this is essentially my own file, so I'll have to let you guys rate it all. Though, there are enough pictures to help you. Also, in case you do have AXIN's fighter in-game, this will NOT overwrite it, so you can have both alongside each other if you wish. Enjoy and serve the Star Empire well! AXIN's original Romulan Fighter can be found here.
between this and the previous version, be sure this ship will not be weak; you can\'t take on the might of the Wraith in a little destroyer can you? This is, therefore, where this dreadnaught comes into it. She is balanced to Greathor\'s other Stargate craft but, obviously, won\'t be too balanced for much Star Trek play. If you have a particular race for Stargate ships to go into, I\'d place this in here, otherwise as you can see, she\'s with the Federation. Fortuneately, you can have both Achilles class variants in game at the same time, so you can see the texture difference...or just kick more ass. It\'s really up to you! The only negative thing is the lack of build button, wireframe and admiral\'s picture. This I find to be a great shame considering the rest of the mod is of very high quality. Download now any Stargate fans and show them Wraith the power of the Tau\'ri!
this version and Cylon's, but the designs to seem slightly different, so I'm guessing it's just a popular class name chosen. Anyhow, this ship sports some rather nice textures which I believe to be better than the Atlantis/Pegasus version, but that is open for debate. Regardless, they are nice and do make it look good, the armour effect in particular. It does however lack that of a buildbutton, wireframe and admiral's pic, which I do take to be a shame as it's those nice little touches which really give a mod it's fullness. Still, a dreadnaught is a dreadnaught and except this to "kick some serious ass". Failing that, it just does look good to stare at for a bit. Download now any Stargate fans!

which is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and this does it fantastically! Giving a stunning re-texture to my favourite stock science ship, the Romulan Shadow, it makes it darker, sleeker and generally more fearsome to look at. With an odf that has been re-balanced for the ship to compensate for it\'s additional power (it takes a long time to build and a lot of resources, but it\'s worth it), it\'s brilliance simply comes down into it\'s stunning textures. Try this out now and have a piece of the upcoming Dogs of War mod too. In retrospect. the quality of this I think far excels that of the Sabre released a short while ago, but both are still very good. Nice work here, definitely a download.
Contact, this is bound to be a worthy addition. - SSA
able to stop them (hurrah!) and this ship was the common Replicator ship used. Mesh wise, for the low amount of poly\'s it is (792 for those interested) it means that you will be able to have a good horde of these and I do believe it\'s pretty accurate. The \"blue\" of the texture seems about right and the texture seems accurate bar I beleived that it was slightly darker, more of a black rather then of a grey. Generally, a very nicely done ship containing a buildbutton and admiral\'s pic, though I think the latter could be improved with a space background rather then the grey of the programme background. Other then that, a good job on what looks like to be a job well done!

enemy to the Human Stargaters to the Pegasus galaxy. Ideal to rival your puddle jumper, this ship has been nicely done with hints of further improvements to come forth to us, again, something I won't complain about. The textures are sharp although rather decieving as they are actualy modified stock Venture texture's, however the textures are fine and the model is good, so particular praise there. Not much more to say now other than get an M class planet, call it "Atlantis" and send in the Wraith!
enhancements and it generally looks nicer. It comes with a build button and odf + sod. It also seems you get a choice of a shiny metallic grey armour or a more purple menacing look. Download now for Wrath...Dartiness!
who want convincing, this thoroughly detailed and concise guide shows you how to easily produce the three interface features: build buttons, wireframes and then the admirals pics. Whilst possibly easy for the more knowledgeable modders, this is a sure way to get those who want help in this area, or perhaps to brush up on what they already know, to get complete ship mods. Definitely worthy of the download, it comes in an installer, which be forewarned, is in german however the rest isn't and the installer isn't actually that complicated. You'll need to use your internet broswer quite a bit for this (I recommend you set up multiple windows) and have paint open so you can look at the many refernce pics. All in all, a great help for the community, nicely put together and generally of high quality, well done!
weapons! Now though, you can simulate the battle from the episode that could ear-mark the end of the galaxy as they know it, or just kick some butt! These ships, even though low poly, look incredibly close to their TV counter-parts and, with higher resoultion textures, I believe will almost look the same. Whilst their design is certainly unique, I would, if I had to put them into a stock race, put them into the Federation. Their weapons look like the Federation deflector dish's and they would just seem to fit, but their weapons, well, no doubt who would win then. Suggested tactics against it would be to knock out her weapons and then pummel her with as much firepower as you can as her hull is strong. Tactics when using, pretty much just build, sit back and relax. Download now for pure galaxy destruction! Do note, spoilers will not be tolerated
here is a recreation of the city of Atlantis, which albeit seems slightly weird that it is "flying" about in space, this station is capable of being able to build the Puddle Jumpers. I do hope that more versions of this are released in the future as it does appear to have pretty mediocre textures especially in points where it looks almost "bold". This being said, the mesh has been very well re-created for a low poly job, so definite kudo's for that one. All round, another good CDP job, but I think there's been better, still, I'm sure some people will enjoy this a lot and you'll be able to re-create memorable parts from the series now. Download if you want.
them. Together, this package will allow you to systematically knock out every system on enemy ships, including special energy (beat them to it before they wave at you). The weapons contained are: Shields, Weapons, Sensors, Engines (plus gives them a nudge to send them adrfit) and Special Energy. All these effects last for 30 seconds other than the last one which completly drains the enemy energy reserves. There are a couple of defensive waves including: Shield Remodulation and Special Energy Recharge. All the waves apparently have the same range (so you\'ll have to get in quick with the sensor disabler) bar the special energy jammer which has double range. I\'m thinking all of these would go well on a fleet support craft, such as your frigate or science vessel, either way, these are bound to make for good and enjoyable play. Download now.
carry some fighters and bombers needed to fight off Goa'uld and such like? Well, obviously it's this! Whilst I can't immediately tell if it's a kitbash, this new Human (Stargate) design looks pretty decent and look's to be a suitable carrier, well, to quote CDP, "in the stargate mod that is currently being produce, this will lunch f-302's and a bomber type fighter, however, i dnt wana give away too much. lol" The design works for me well, as it actually looks like a carrier and when the mod is out, will obviously act as one, so I guess you could call this a teaser of the mod. Anyhow, the textures are the standard we have seen on the other capital ships and she is in scale with them. Her weapons are from what I can tell the same, so she'll be pretty compatible with your other Stargate ships. In addition to this, it even comes with a nicely done buildbutton and comprehensive installation instructions. All in all, as expected good job. Kudo's to you CDP!
federation weapons
Well, a nice addition. I'm not completely sure what some of them are, I recognise the Prometheus, but as for the others... Clueless, however over in the UK we've only just finished season 8. - SSA
Borg craft as it dominates your base. Level the terms with the crew of the Voyager and the Federation with this mini-transwarp hub, funnily enough suitable for the size of an armada2 map! What I really like about this is how the gates aren't arrange in a symmetrical way. Some are connected straight of the docking rings of other gates whilst some connect to actual structures which look like the Borg craft seen, specifically that mini-cube hub and the sphere. Remember though, this model will need to be converted to SOD format for use in-game, so maybe one of you can do that? I suggest you download it to see whether or not that will be possible!
ships that aren't normally in-game, so you may need to remove those.
the ability to distroy 1000 ships in a single seccond (so it could wipe out the entire United Federation of Planets in about, what, 3.5 or somthing? :D ) As the readme says this is technicly a Station and has a shipyard classlable so it has been classified under Stations instead of ships. Its armorments are a 9 LPH Phaser of short, medium and long range, two long range disruptor torpedos class OmegaLH and Omega MH, 6 standard borg phaser of short and medium range, Omega Shields sistem, Deathstar long range phaser, Transwarp drive, Death Star Super Laser, Detect Cloak, Super Assimilator and Tetraneutron Torpedo. Damn :D check it out. It also comes in a nice and easy to use installer ;)
thing, I'll let you decide, but the idea of beaming over SP8472 aliens onto enemy ships sounds rather satisfying, especially in a pitched battle, so let them cause the havoc! Of course this works both ways - you can now beam onto their ships and salvage them, so beware Borg, I heard the Voyager was in the nieghbourhood!
NCC-XXXX). Could become useful for some members... I'll also let the community rate this one. :) - SSA
GOOD) by moddifying odf's into something they wish more desireable. It is basically bigger and better then last time, fixing 3 out of 4 reported bugs (those mentioned in the beneath readme, whilst the fourth isn't such a big problem) and generally enhances it. I like the nice touch of having the buttons with ships or stations on from the game, really brings it into the Star Trek/Armada spirit of things, all this of course in a tidy .exe. My opinion: Get it, it's very good, look's nice and seem's to work really quite well. Well done!
and look much smoother. This mod is worth the download for any Romulan fan!
three. So, what is The Twillight? Well lets go over each new feature. New appealing interfaces including buttons and menus Now, Just take a look at the screenshots below and you can see that indeed, alot of detail has gone into the HUD and it really brings the feel of the game up to the next level for me, especialy for Species 8472. The interface really is appealing. Edited missions which follow a new storyline which brings in ships from all eras of Star Trek. This is always a plus for any mod, it is always good and well to go and re-do all the missions you've done already in some new ships, but when a new story line comes along that really gives a truely great mod its momentum. An overview of the storyline is in the readme. New ships and stations added, the best around the galaxy (old and new ) Now this beta only cntains Species 8472 and The Borg, however there are some really nice ships and stations in this little package and it only adds to the feel already established by the new storyline and interface. New canon weapon balancing to clearly show the advancements in technology a race makes. Some sides say that each race should have an even keel with different strengths and different weeknesses, and some say that it should be a case of who has most gets most. I prefer the latter, as life never deals a fair hand, so its good to see that the side with the most advanced technology gets the advantage they deserve from that. This makes the game realistic and adds to the gameplay experience in my view. New timeline and refit system to show the progession of ship technology and upgrades. Now this is an intresting idea. Your ship is upgraded and refitted, to keep it up to the latest technology available, so you don't need to throw away all those old ships to build some new ones with even wooshier weapons, why not re-fit the ships you have? It's a neat concept. Add to all this the fact it comes in its own neat little installer, and you have yourself a mod well worth downloading and checking out, even if it is getting towards the painful side of 50mb's. Download now :)
the designated point. Rather effective if used in large fleets of powerful vessels or science ships. If your a transport weapon buff like me, your going to want to pick up this mod!
fleet. He includes detailed installation instructions.
build borg spheres and contstruction vessels, the shields have also been suped up along with special energy and recharge rates, also I have disabled all lifesupport hitpoints (think about it the borg dont use life support as we know it). My overall hope was to create a borg cube that matched the ones seen in TNG and VOY, the kind that scared the federation and cant be destroyed by a 16 pink bunnies !!!!!!!
and research faster. There is a known issue, see the readme for more details.
some interesting gaming.
make their chances for victory higher; afterall, Victory is Life!
of a separate cloak enhancer to use weapons or special weapons. The drawback of using this weapon is that for a very short time (three seconds) the engines on the ship that uses the weapon go inoperative and that the nebula does not last forever. Also, the nebula does not look like a nebula so that the effect is more-or-less not a graphical effect but a strategic effect – the generated ‘nebula’ is also very small so that the enemy cannot usually enter it to discover your ship. This mod plays a good part in helping your ships regenerate even during a big conflict – hiding your ship buys you time to regenerate shields and repair systems – and while doing that, you can still wreak havoc on the enemy! A normal cloak has NO possibility of allowing shields to operate, so instead of designing a shield that operates while cloaked (which is not possible in Armada or Armada 2), I figured that I would design a new cloak to use. So knowing that a nebula can be made to hide a ship and knowing that Species 8472 have a nebula generation weapon, I combined those ideas to create something that can act in the stead of a normal cloak and meanwhile allow a ship to use shields and weapons.
a good idea and adds a little more power to Species 8472.
collection, I cant wait to see the rest.

Unfortunatly, only Federation, Klingon, Romulan and Borg are included, But if you fancy a change, its a good download.
than likely your favourite ship from the humans is in here. It's an amazing pack, through and through. Downloading this is guaranteeing some fun time with it, but it does have a few issues (although easily outweighed by the advantages). So lets get those out of the way. Teching up to get to your favourite high-end ships takes a good long time, with build times at that point being on the more frustrating side of long. That's not to say early on you don't have variety, as upon building the first shipyard, you are granted with the weakest ships the Federation has to offer, but also some fighters which are quite potent, which is the emphasis of this point; I don't think I could truthfully say this mod is too balanced. Sure, building is balanced and you need one hell of an economy to get everything you want, but why bother teching up to Excaliburs and Prometheus' when a fleet of fighters at the beginning of the game will do the job? It also lacks balance against any other race; fantastic as this compilation is, it has no counterpart in no other race, meaning it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. Further issues come in the fact that whilst the tech tree is also long, it also seems a bit odd in places, which ships becoming buildable at times when you'd have thought they should've been some time back, but becoming redundant through newer, better ships whilst also not being needed because you simply have too much choice and that might seem odd for this type of game, but I can honestly say this mod perhaps charges you with too much choice. But, that's all the bad stuff I have to say. The rest is golden bars all the way. Most of the ships stand the test of time to now, being the best available for their respective ship, although unfortunately some are outdated (but easily replaced with enough looking for such ships). Those remaining from stock, particularly the planets, get a nice little buildbutton/wireframe uplift, making all content seem new, even when it is not, an ability few, if any, other mods can boast about being able to do. Whilst choice is plentiful, it's the kind of choice that no other mod can simply offer you, unless you threw a load of ships into your personal installation, but then you'd have to balance them with each other yarda yarda yarda. The fact the mod is fully campaign compatible makes it a bit more fun, although missions will take longer as you have to endure the overlong tech tree. Ships are given specials that relate to them, such as Excelsiors, being the backbone of your fleet at one stage, offers the Aegean's task in stock to restore shields, but another varient gives it the ability to transwarp, like it was supposed to. The loading screen, whilst seemingly thought of with little regard, has been updated to a very cool new shot, seemingly worthy of wallpaper for your desktop and the list goes on and on. The plethora of ships and stations to go through is simply phenomenal and once again, I stress that no other mod offers such variety. You're even give a starting unit of the Enterprise and as your tech progresses, you can 'upgrade' your Enterprise through the time line until you get to the recent powerhouse of the Sovereign version, which can be brought alongside a hero Defiant and Voyager, complete with authentic sounds. As much as possible, this mod does everything right and is literally perfect for Federation fans. And so a summary has to come. Whilst less 'Armada' and more build-one-ship-of-each-class-because-it's-fun-to-do might not win you the war, it's certainly a good peageant. And, actually going against what I said, it will win the war. The majority of ships have a purpose and those that don't look cool, so you admire them for that. You'll seldom find yourself running out of things to do with this mod, but in the end, its excellence needs another excellent compilation pack to rival the Federation's brute strength. Even if you don't like the Federation, this is a mod to show all others just how to get the job done and it does it fantastically. Thumbs up, 5 stars and all that jazz. Download a classic.
program, select an .odf on your computer, and edit away!
mod be assoicated and recognized with this tool, and it aint easy creating them, and pretty much no mod i've looked at had that file pre-made. If you don't mind the extra work, this tool is excellent. But, for me it requires too much work to be effective.
window, closing effects, an odf checker, and, for all the modding teams, a Find Modified/New files window. This is capable of copying, moving, and deleting the modified/new files it has found (so you can compile an entire mod in seconds without missing anything). There is also a recompile definition list option that could help to coordinate a mod, but that is in the readme. A more complete list of changes is in the program itself.
is just me. Overall a nice ship and worth downloading ;)

Worth a download for anyone who needs help in making a file such as this.
The textures are the same acid bath look as the tatical cube. NOTE: These textures may change the look of the other ships/stations, so you may want to install all Twich Borg mods.
slight ODF modifications, but nothing to write home about. If you can\'t stand repeating textures, this is for you.

however. This is a nice little file, worth the download.
I released one anyway. This is just a blank sod, and will not overwrite any other mods. I tried to rate myself fairly, but If you didn\'t think I didn\'t, send your complaints to firstname.lastname@example.org. j/k :b. Enjoy!

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Hello, this is FireFly_194 and I\'m going to discuss two strategies in winning a battle. A: Defense - This strategy includes many, many defense stcutures to defend you base. Instead of building huge fleets of ships, you will be constructing pulse cannons and torpedo turrets around your perimeter. Once you have a sufficent amount of defense stations and turrets, you can start doing everything else like normal. Researching, resource collecting, etc. When it comes to ship building, build two shipyards and then two advanced ship yards. Keep building ships from the original yards and keep sending them to help defend your base. So now you have a bunch of small ships and turrets as a perimeter...if you have enough ships, nothing will get passed you defensive line. Now, for your offensive you will keep constructing ships out of the advanced shipyard and sending them to a corner of your base where they will not be disturbed. Once you have constructed an advanced fleet, get them ready for battle. Get all your research done and make sure your defense is stable. By now, the enemy will be getting ready to attack. When they do, your defensive structures will hopefully push them back. Once the enemy fleet is diminished, send your advanced ship fleet to the enemy base. If that fleet is not victorious and gets defeated. Send you defensive fleet of weaker ships to hopefully go finish off the enemy base. If that fleet gets destroyed and the enemy base sends another fleet.....well....your screwed :p . Here is a pic of my strategy\'s outcome. B: Offense Strategy - In this strategy, you will hit the enemy as fast as you can and as strong as you can. This is alot less complicated than the Defensive strategy...but in my opninion I don\'t really like to use only offense...but this may work better for some people. :) Build ALOT of shipyards, advanced and regular. Get neccessary resources and crew, but don\'t research unless neccessary, as this takes up valuable time. Build as many ships as you can and try to kill the enemy hard and fast before they can amass a huge fleet. Keep on hitting them with your ships until their defenses are gone, and their fleet - diminished. Hit them hard and fast and they won\'t be able to counter. This doesn\'t work for the Borg or Species 8472, for their ships take longer to build and may not be able to keep pushing their fleets out in small amounts of time. Here is a pic of this strategy\'s outcome. I hope these two strategies will help you in upcoming battles. Live long and prosper.....

This unique combination allows the torpedo to phase through a target\'s shields and deliver a massive explosion on the targets hull. The result is that the target\'s shields are not weakened at all by this weapon, but it\'s hull integrity is massively reduced, so that a target can be destroyed even while it\'s shields are at 100%. These weapons are also able to pass through the corbomite reflector and point defense phaser. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regenerative Shields: Regenerative shielding uses the main deflector to route power directly from the warp core to recharge the shield array. This allows the ship\'s shield recharge rate to be exceptionally high. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Self-Regenerating Ablative Armor: This technology is implemented by plating the hull with a heavy plating of a carbon-neutronium alloy, then installing a long-range replicator in the ship to automatically repair any damaged section of the armor; allowing a ship to survive in combat long after it\'s shields drop. This technology is the only known practical defence against temporal phase torpedoes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quantum Slipstream Drive: This technology is based on an alien device observed in the delta quadrant. It opens a quantum singularity to any point up to 40000 meters allowing the vessel to instantly travel to that point. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Temporal Gate: This device opens a wormhole to any explored point in space, allowing the vessel to travel instantly to any explored region. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Temporal Shift Device: This device shifts the vessel\'s temporal phase, causing the vessel to disappear from the current space-time continuum. So since the vessel technically does not exist, it can pass undetected through objects such as asteroid fields, nebulas, and weapons without harm. However because of the unique sub-space properties of tachyons, a ship under temporal shift can still be detected by tachyon-based sensors. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isokinetic Cannon: This weapon fires a phased plasma projectile that is capable of passing through targets with even the heaviest shielding, and delivering heavy damage directly to the target\'s hull. All federation intrepid class vessels have been outfitted with this weapon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stealth Device: This device is similar to the effect of a cloak, except it can engage and disengage much faster, and it does not require any special energy. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Modifications --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All borg combat vessels have been enhanced, and they cost more now too. All race\'s torpedo turrets have been upgraded as well. The intrepid class vessels have been outfitted with isokinetic cannons.
Excellent work.
