ships. Please note this map will ONLY work with the Fleet Operations mod.
thunderfoot's first map pack
These are kind of concept maps. The lighting in A2 is one of the game s strongest features. There are numerous well done custom ships which take advantage of this through superb lightmaps. So I thought, "Why not make some maps where someone can see just how good some of these custom ships really look? NOTE: This contains a better version of Twilight s Last. It has been adjusted to correct some flaws and a few other things which I did not like. This map should play much better than the previous version. Couple it with improved AIPs and it should provide a very rewarding and challenging game.
Twilight's Last
about large maps. The more I have play tested the few maps I have made, the more I have come to agree with him and others about large maps being the best maps. This one is kind of a concept map, as well as being a large sized map(35K x 35K). The lighting in A2 is one of the game's strongest features. There are numerous well done custom ships which take advantage of this through superb lightmaps. So I thought, "Why not make a map where someone can see just how good some of these custom ships really look in the dark?" Total darkness is not good for gameplay, so I tried for lighting effects which simulate evening slightly after sundown.(EENT to the accuracy sticklers out there.)
Terran Warfare
wait numerous ships of the Terran Empire. Just to be clear, these are simply re-named stock Fed ships, not re-textured models or anything of the sort. (Some of you may quibble with the inclusion of certain ship designs that only came into Prime Starfleet service after the Mirror Starfleet would've been destroyed by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Try not to think about it so hard.) ;) But in the OTHER corner is a whole separate wormhole! And that wormhole leads to.... well, you'll have to download this map to try it and find out, won't you? This is some seriously creative map work from ISS Enterprise-D, and definitely worth a download.
System JL5
wormhole at the top of the map which leads to a sealed off part of the map with 2 infinite dilithium moons a few latinum nebulas and a D class planet. There are a few borg ships with higher sheilding than normal grauding two transwarp portals at the bottom of the map.
premonition shipyards 2
the Premonition ship were destroy but with a lost of a 172 life’s. This year we must some taken down the shipyard so we can reuse the metal in our War with the Borg before we lose this War as a back up Plan the Premonition has been send back to try and stop the Borg before it even started but they fail this is are last chance holy the nebula was die now a bit and the mediation works batter this time around.
Squares
all, so I\'d have to call this a rush friendly map. - Freyr
The Cross A2
beginning and some more crew and metal planets in the corners to fight for :borg: . Additionally it got some nice nebulas to play 'Hide and Seek' in ;) . Give it a try. - TParis Note: The map got reuploaded because we received a fixed version.
4 Corners map
in these situations, and its quite hard to prevent latinum filled freighters being shoved strait onto your base\'s defences) It attempts to keep each side on an equal footing, but it dosen\'t quite manage it. Just to pick a couple of observations out of the air the top left corner has its dilithium moon within easy weapons range of ships exiting the wormhole, whilst the bottom right corner enjoys some quite considerable seperation in addition to having its best approach in between a red nebula, which you don\'t want to fly a fleet through and the gravity well of an \"M\" class planet on the otherside. That would make a fun ambush! Hopefully balancing problems like this will be fixed in a future version. This map also requires the included blue background. The problem with including new backgrounds instead of replacing old ones is the potential for problems that they cause when you download a map ingame. Because it dosen\'t transfer the dependancies you can have problems if you download it without the background.
The Canal
up your trade stations to get some latinum and buy your resources. Other than that, this map does look as if it could invoke some pretty fun gameplay and in the end, that's all that really matters. I would recommend 2 teams on this map (besides, it'd make latinum grabbing easier) and should make for some pretty heated battles in the middle. For future releases, I'd think about adding a few more features, but not too many as Monroe has certainly got the right idea. Download if you want some heavy fleet combat. -Joelteon For a four player map this just dosen't have enough planets. In a fight battles are likely to be short, as the first team to the two centre planets will have a huge advantage over the other team while the other team will be trying hard to build single ships. Because they would be unable to build more than a few ships they wouldn't be able to defend their dilithium mines which would be promptly blown away, which would bring a rapid halt to any building activily. Finally several minutes later an assualt force with a massive firepower advantage would completely destroy the main base. To improve this the planets in the middle need to be smaller to give less of an advantage and extra planets need to be added in to prevent you from completely losing the game if you don't have the middle planets. -Freyr
TJP2517 Map
one, however one is better than none. A nice 4 player map, with some neat tactics to get to some areas. A nice play! - SSA
TJPA2map Update
made, so expect some extremely fun battles with this choc-a-bloc map, full of interesting features, niches to hide in and plenty of space and resources to start up your attack force to conquer the enemy. What makes this very nice as well is that it is 4 player, so, blast away more enemies on this updated map, well done!
TJPA2map
a nice map, different from most and has some nice little places to be when playing ;)
Junk Yard
center . in the center there are abandoned ships & a M class planet ( 4000 on this 1 as well ) the ships that are there are listed below ( they have no hull or system damage , but send them to the repair yard to get recrewed & there shields to 100% ) Uss Enterprise-E = Sov class ( same as from the missions ) Martoks Neg'Va ( same as from the missions ) Admiral Selas Warbird = Warbird Class ( a plan WB with the name changed ) Uss Flying Hell Ncc 1702_A = Sov Class Uss Flying Hell Ncc 1702 = Galaxy Class Uss Defiant = Defiant Class Locutus MK II = Tatical Cube Borg Queens ( from the missions ) Gentars Keldon ( from the klingon Camp ) 2x Federation Construction Ships 2x Klingon Construction Ships 2x Romulan Construction Ships 2x Borg Assemblers 2x Card Construction Ships the Battle Ships have had there shields increased so they wont die so easy ( but the crew will ) thus keepin them in it for as long as possible :D . if u want those ships then u will have to get there ASAP . cause the AI will try to take them as well . they will target there own ships 1st ( klingons will go for martok , Romulans will go for sela , federation will go for the Enterprise & both Flying Hell's ) . that includeds the construction ships so get out there 1st ( use the saber or defiants to get them . do NOT wait for the bigger ships )
4 Player Jedi Map Pack
discription or info on the maps, there really isn\'t much else to say about the them.
Transwarp Hub
past the borg and enter one of the other transwarp appatures. :D
Star Trek Space
but it turned out pritty good so im posting it here, because im board. :D
The Price of Battle
center. This area was the host of a recent battle of the Federation versus the Borg, so there is an abandoned Mining Station and two derelict Federation ships. There are also a few Black Holes spread out around the map, so make sure your ship has plenty of crew and a fast repair rate, otherwise you may find yourself examining the inside of a Black Hole. There are also some Transwarp Portals at the four corners of the map, which link the bases together.
By the looks of it this is a nice map for someones first :) Very well described. He put allot of work into it.
United Earth
mater) because of the cloaking abilities you can have fleets of ships waiting at the wormhole, cloaked. great map  BTW: to install it just throw all the files in your bzn folder.
Radio Active Nebula V2
Borg that how known and it was good fun apart from the part were I forgot which wormhole it was at happen a lot.
Borg Graveyard
the middle pathway, and its a challenge to get through. A nice map, and worth a download if you\'re up for a challenge ;)
Black Hole map
start with 2 moons each, with 4 additional moons around the black hole itself. An Engine overloads heaven. Requirement: Map Pack 1 - http://www.fleetops.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,3/topic,7466.0/
Xmas Time
of a drawing for the mini map. The massive nebula field in the middle of the map doesn't really have much of an effect on gameplay seeing as it's mostly metaphasic nebulae, and absent of any resources in the middle there isin't really a huge amount of point entering it in the first place. So all in all, probably better to look at than to play, but still worth a look. :) - Freyr
Klingon-Cardassian Alliance (1.1)
Alliance bearing down on you, as well as trying to deal with your normal enemy at the same time!! ...Are you up to the challenge? XD Hope you guys enjoy playing it!! I know I enjoyed making it. Comments are most certainly welcome -ISS Enterprise-D
Klingon-Cardassian Alliance
AI in terms of making them identifiable on the map in some other way than the grey color. Somehow, I drew up the Imperial Universe from that, and so we have my latest map. This time, unlike in my second map, we are completely inside the alternate universe. The area of space is dominated by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Devastated hulks of Terran Warships are all over the map, including one last "surviving" outpost. The House of Duras are the Klingons in question that are in power here, with the return of one of its most notorious leaders. On a side note, I am using Yaccuza's Midnight Universe 2.00 in all of my maps in the future, so this will be in the requirements field from now on. ALL credit for EVERY modified celestial body (planets, suns, moons, etc.) goes to Yaccuza. I take NO credit in the making of the modified celestial bodies, only credit for this map that they are in. Hope you guys enjoy!!! Comments are certainly welcome. -ISS Enterprise-D
Dead Space
due to the lack of lighting. :D
It's big, dark and full of adversaries. Like deep space. This is one map I'd like to see for stock A2 as well. But for now, just for FlOps.
Ain't What It Seems
something I thought was missing from A2. Namely, why do people expect all maps have certain things? Why do people expect they will always have these things? Why do people expect these things will always act/behave the same way? Hence, the name of the map. I haven t tried to overdo the map, just wanted to try out some new ideas. MAP BACK STORY: The back story for this map is non-existent. I could not think of a good one and I didn t want to bore you with something silly NOTE Before I go any further, I would like to point out I credited the wrong person with giving me the idea behind my first map, Sao Magnifico. The pictures upon which the first map was based were actually done by Fallen Graces. I apologize sincerely to him for such a shameful mistake upon my part. FG, I don t know yet how I will make this up to you, but I will.
Latinum Rush!
would be acting this way. It is canon the end of the war between Cardassia and the Federation did not really tidy everything up like it should have. So here goes. Cardassian scout patrols on a routine border trace diverted off the regular course to avoid the effects of a large ion storm which was an imminent danger to the crews. Suddenly, the navigational sensors aboard these ships picked up traces of a previously unknown star system which appeared to have a large black hole in it. Dropping out of warp, the scouts began a routine scan of the system. And forgot to breathe. Latinum. In quantities never before seen anywhere. Enough latinum to literally buy the Cardassian Union a warfleet equal in size to all of the other Alpha and Beta Quadrant powers combined. of course the system was conveniently located just outside Cardassian space, as well as Federation and Klingon space as well. But near enough to all three that all three could claim it if they they got there fast enough. So begins the Latinum Rush!
Add The Borg
Note that it comes with an auto-installer. While this is awesome for some of us, it's annoying for others. Be advised.
Duke Nukem Map
gone back to 4 player map for this 1. This map had the logo from Duke Nukem in the middle of it well the map is the logo 3 players start off in side the logo while another is on the out side. The ones on the outside have to find a way in. While if you’re in the middle there no way out unless you’re the Borg and have free tact to build a transwarp gate. However the Borg shipyard cant not be build in the middle because there two big how ever if you’re the Borg on the outside there is room and if your not the Borg there a Working Borg Starbase on the other side of the map for you to take. Sorry about my spellings
Get it if you want it.
Delta Wormhole II: Aftermath
the grey AI’s base. I have added some dead ship and stations and have change some of the player start points around so now you are not to near each other if you don’t like that kind of thing. I feel sorry for the two players at the top unless you’re a good A2 player in which case you would no want to do. Story Well done Admiral you have retaken taken the Delta Wormhole but will you be able to keep it. Sorry about my spellings
Did you see what he did there? He asked you a question, Admiral. I know, I know, the suspense is such you can hardly contain it. Maybe you should download this map to break the tension.
Delta Wormhole
it but you don’t have to follow it.
Story The Gamma Quadrant Terran Empire has taken over the Alpha side of the Delta wormhole and had build shipyard around it we must stop them before they send there fleet though to the Delta Colony. I wish you and you Romulan Allie good luck Admiral. Be warn there a Renegade Romulan faction out there to they may try to stop you. Sorry about my spellings
I don\'t know, I prefer my maps without so many map units. Your mileage may vary. If you like \'em four-player and frenzied, this one might be for you. Give it a download. - the Kid
Black Holes
enjoy. Story Starfleet has find an M Class Planet on the egde of a Blackhole you have been send to find out why it has not been pulled in only your not the only one. To make matter worst the whole area is full of Blackholes and you only have small resources. Good Luck Sorry about my spellings
I\'ve never really been a fan of TJP\'s maps but you might be a fan of this one.
Delta Colony
this map is certainly one of those maps. Created by TrevorPilkington, Delta Colony has got a nice setup to it. It is a four player map that has map units placed on it to add to the battle. The positioning of the players is quite good, with 3 players situated at three of the four corners of the maps with one player stuck in the centre. The main fight will probably shape up around the centre of the map where an unfortunate player is surrounded by 3 enemies but on the plus side has a wall of asteroids behind them and at least has an escape route through the asteroids into the expanse with the blackholes. However retreating into the expanse could cause you headaches as the second your ships loose engines or crew they will get sucked into the blackholes. The best tactic I can think of for this part of the map is retreat to the very top right hand-side of the map past the blackholes and radioactive nebula where you could adopt a siege mentality. A plus to doing so would be enemy forces entering/re-entering the nebula thus loosing vital crew members, becoming adrift and being sucked up by the blackholes. This is a good map, it has some interesting combat scenarios to dish out. :D Plus it actually has a story behind it too - IKS
Deep Space Map
uncomplicated battle will more than likely be the case, no where to hide or use as vantage/ambush points. The bases/starting-off points are pretty run-of-the-mill, you get your general resource pack in a planet, moon, latinum nebula and two dilithium moons. However the main fight on this map will shape up around the centre of it where there are four infinite moons and a ring of latinum gas clouds surrounding a class J planet - undoubtedly it will be the main objective for you to secure to wipe out the enemy on this map. All in all, it\'s not a bad Map at all, shows some good initiative and is enjoyable to play on. Welcome to the community Darkrenamon! - IKS
Green Glow A2FO
has got his/her own quarter to build up in along with 2 dilithium and tritanium moons. So this is perfectly balanced; as you can see everything is placed the same way in all of the corners. Only thing to complain about: there could have been a few more map addititions so it looks a bit more interesting. Worth downloading for all the FO junkies out there (including me :mepimp: ). Stock A2 players can find their version of the map [file="81117"]here[/file]. - TParis
4 Green A2
sparse. In fact, this might be one map where you end up trading Metal for Dilithium rather than the reverse!

4 Player War
space where there are gaps in the mini-map display. Then again, this is good for combat space and if you're going to be having "war", it seems to make sense. Equipped with a well supplied base at the start and room for expansion along with moons darted around for further resource extraction, I can't really fault this map. Nebula use is done well and the slight assymetrical design will be a throw for the more advanced players. All in all, good job and, particularly a good job for a first map. With quality like this, hopefully the start of a good few more.
Nebula
is a large space in the middle for fighting and resource gathering. Your base is nicely defended by asteroids and nebulae but there is a gap, so beware the frontal or surprise attack! All in all, pretty good map, well done. To all players, offline or not, get this now, it\'s definitely worth it!
Battlezone
of your base near the line of asteroids is an abandoned vulcan research institute which has level 3 weapons pre-researched, along with deralict uss enterprise and uss incursion. Each institute is protected by 10 pulse cannons. The two races are borg and federation.
Hostiles 4 Player
corners and four on the insides of the, whatever they are, and the center is nice and open like a playing feld, should make for some intresting skermishes. Good stuff.
Armageddon Assault
Cardassia, Q'Nos and romulas. Also there are some 8472 anbd Borg ships featured on the map! along with a few derelict ships.
4deathmaze (2.0)
four wormholes all lead to the center of the map. In the center, you will encounter alot of rift makers and battleships, with a few motherships. You have to get through them inorder to get to the other player's maze which intern leads to their base. The trick is that while you navigate through your maze, you will encounter rift makers along the way. The main bases have a planet and two dilithium moons (non infinate) each. While you navigate the maze, you will find nooks with latinum nebulas, 4 infinate moons. You can get these without trouble with the first two nooks, but the rest will have rift makers gaurding the extra resources.
Big Momma
1, there is a biological lifeform at the centre of the map.
Divided Empires
aswell as four infinate dilithium moons and a few latinum nebulas.

more for me. very good map for a large battle. Download Now !
Ground Zero Map
below. Report:
Ground Zero is an area in Federation space where many battles have been fought. The area encompasses one planetary system, a black hole a variety of nebulae and some asteroids. Due to unknown reasons there are some planets that remain stationary outside the system. These planets are rich in metal and can be sparsly populated. This area seems to carry with it an odd, but strong, sense of foreboding and death, causing many races to avoid this area. The history of Ground Zero goes back to the beginning of the Federation and has continued to the present day. During this time many ships from different races were rendered derelict due to the fighting. However because of the black hole in the area, over time all of these derelicts have been pulled in and destroyed. The planets in the nearby system had been stripped of all their resources, but a recent scientific experiment that was conducted in this system restored the resources to many of the planets and moons before their ship and information mysteriously disappeared for unknown reasons. The local inhabitants of the system have recently applied for and received Federation membership, and have requested protection from outside forces. The Federation has accepted and has requested the aide of the Klingon and Romulan governments in patrolling the system. No ship is permitted to land colonists on their planet, therefore rendering the third planet off limits to colonization. There are many stories that revolve around Ground Zero, many say that the \"ghosts\" of those killed in battle in this system remain here to ensure that no further fighting takes place. Others say that this is a place where the gods from several different religions came and fought for universal supremacy. Still others say that this place is where a black hole collapsed in on itself and transformed the universe into what it is today. Whatever the reason for the impressions that are received from this system any Captain is advised to stray on the side of caution when entering Ground Zero.
Have fun :).
Iraq Map
resorces and has a Romulan fleet in it with some ships and stations already made. The other two areas in the bottom are where the players start and where all the resources are. A good map overall and worth a download. I would give this map a 7. -Nateanite
orions arms version 1-3
planets with Class-M's at the corners which are also the stating postions. The other stars are dilitium moons. The belt contains 8472 ships and three latium nebulas. Each base has one latium nebula; contained in the corners of the map. Nothing on this map is not from the oringinal game. ---------------------------------------------Version 2------------------------------------------ Discription: This map is the same as the first version but without wormholes, and with the asteroids replaced with crebulan nebulas. ----------------------------------------------Version 3----------------------------------------- Discription: This map is the same as the first version but without wormholes, and with the asteroids surrounded by crebulan nebulas.
4havfuyet
Asteroids. There are minable wreks hidden within a few wrek areas. There are also direlect ships at all of the starting positions.
Four Quadrants
search for a fix. Another bug from the builder is there are 5 spots to use for a starting point. DO NOT USE THE MIDDLE START POINT! In order to prevent this, use the \'fixed placement\' option and everyone must pick a point to start on. I am working to try and correct this. These are the only known bugs in the map. E-mail me at Patriot31@comcast.net to tell me about the map, and if there are any other bugs. I appreciate your download and enjoy your fight!
Bridge Over Troubled Water 3
already have a hold on the system at the same time you are trying to win this game. And, if you capture their base... more fun for you. Oh one more thing, somewhere in this map is a field of deralect consruction ships for each race (except for species 8472, I would like to see someone come up with a mode to allow you to capture their ships.)
Borg nebula
through a worm Hole if you can find the right one that is. Also bigger bases and more borg.
Centerstage
advantage. Or allows one to build a station near a nebula, increasing the amount of buildable space in the increasingly compact area of some maps. CENTRESTAGE: The Centrestage map, as mentioned above, centerd around defense. The bulk of dilithium/metal deposits rest upon the part of your quadrant that is closest to the entrance to your area. So it serves nicely as an "outpost", the research can be place near the "core" area, while shipbuilding is suited better for the "outpost" area. Building a trade convoy between the two point wouldn't hurt either. CENTRESTAGE vARIENT: Exactly the same as the Centrestage, this map has but one difference: wormholes. There are two wormholes in your quadrant that are linked up to each other. One near the dilithium moon near the Metreon Nebula, and one near the outpost area. This serves great for evacuation for your "outpost" base, or a rueful surprise for the attacker. The stratagy that I usually use is instead of putting the shipyards near the "outpost", put them near the Metreon Nebula, with the wormwhole. So the mainstay of your armada will be hidden from attackers, giving misinformation to your counterpart(s). And the sorry fool that attacks will be decimated, an enormous reinforcement fleet will pop-up and attack an unsuspective fleet that is targetting your delay fleet that was build to take the gurnt of the attack.
One of the most formal presentations i've ever seen :) Pics: Centerstage: Centerstage Variant:
AOS Hide and Seek
to send them at your enemy. If you put lots of turrets around your wormhole it will make your base invincible. If you really want to be mean, put a lot of turrets around the enemies wormhole to trap them in! >:D
