Armada 2
Modified Federation Phasers(FO)
standard federation phasers in Fleet Operations roughly 40% thinner, and hopefully satisfy the artistic needs of all us picky modders. Enjoy! - Adm_Zaxxon
CG Sovereign warp glows
you'll probably want to get this model: http://armada2.filefront.com/file/CG_Sovereign_Class;92125 These glows are superb. And best of all, they're for stock A2. No more are nice glows only available in Fleet Operations!
Weapon Retexture Pack
decided to spend my time on the one aspect of A1 and A2 that always looked bland to me. Especially when you've got a game filled with those great looking non-stock ships.
Be sure to follow the installation instructions carefully-- you'll have to install this one manually. And you'll surely enjoy it immensely.
Jetfreak's Retexture Pack
today's your lucky day. Most of these are texture upgrades, simple revamps and alternate looks for their respective models. Please note that the pack does not include any of the original odfs or sods, you need to download them separately from the site. As for any descriptions regarding what's new with the textures, I'm pretty certain the provided screenshots can speak for themselves. If you want to use any of these items in any of your mods, please contact me first via armada2modder@yahoo.com or jetfreak@starbase34.net
Akira Class Retexture
\"scanned\" borg assimilation textures are a nice touch and it is a decent mod but their is a negative side to this mod too, unfortunately. On the other side of the coin, their is no ODF, or SOD so this is in effect two targa files. I have never seen an individual mod called 9 of 9\'s Akira not even on AFC, however it is indeed located in Borg Incursion 3 Federation Side, although downloading 38 megs just to get a SOD and a set of ODF\'s is cumbersome (I had to download BI 3 just to test this out), My suggestion to the author would be to get the Sod and ODF\'s from the original modder along with permission for those. Note : Direct Download for BI3: Federation Side (Mirror Link Invalid) So in short, if you have BI 3: Federation Side then you can definately add this Akira retexture to the game however if not then it is a long and arduous process to get this ingame.:( On the Plus, this is a good retexture job. :) - IKS
Federation Fleet Ops Mix Tech Yard Patriotic Retexture

Missing textures for R5D5s Ship Pack 2
There is one thing I especially like about modders: Whenever they accidentally release something incomplete or incorrect, the fix is not far away. Can't expect that from a large software company. In this case, R5D5 brings us the missing textures for his 2nd Ship Pack. Thumbs up for a fast fix and an awesome mod. If you haven't downloaded the ship pack by now, what are you waiting for? Go, get it now.

Mod "Originals" The original files that came with the stock game To install just drop it in under textures/rgb and overwrite when asked.
Transparent Build Buttons
Fahres's compact Dream GUI, but it's not required. Visually, This actually does looks very nice. If your a federation fan your probably going to want this. - Freyr
7th Fleet Command palette upgrade
v1.0 Definitely worth a download. Gives new life to those boring old command buttons.
7th Fleet Command palette upgrade
-=WiCKeD=-HARKER" so the interface will look the best it can. This mod contains new buttons for most basic functions, and some special weapon buttons.
Assimilated Intrepid
unfortunately. Another nice refit from FranxoftImports. Hopefully we'll see more than just retexture work from this promising new modder.
Assimilated Defiant
the Defiant in order to work, but the concept should be applicable to any Defiant you had in mind.
Species 8472 Re-Textures
pics i had a whopping (5) Species 8472 pics. This mod is an attempt to rectify that. Included are re-textures of all the stock 8472 ships, stations, weapons, Special Weapons and even the Fluidic map background.
Worth a look.
New Corbomite Reflector Texture
achievements will match each other. After all, it's an open dispute whether the forces responsible for reality, which we might consider gods or perhaps a single god, are still working on their first mod. I mean, if you were a god, wouldn't things like throwing asteroids at Earth to doom dinosaurs to extinction, or giving human beings five toes instead of, I dunno, twelve.... wouldn't that be a kind of mod in and of itself? And how would we know unless they ran into a CTD? Look, it was either that or poetry. There was a god who made some mods.... and so on. This texture replaces the stock Sov's special weapon, the corbomite reflector, itself one of the more "godlike" special weapons available in-game. This sort of thing has been done before, but if you're looking for something new, and you still rely upon the corbomite reflector to get the job done against the enemy, this will pretty up your Sovs real nice. No modification is made to the weapon itself, just the weapon's texture. Either way, Omega_Mod_God is off to a good start-- this is the kind of "simple yet essential" concept that makes a good first mod. Hopefully not the last. It'd be a shame to know a god only by the absence left behind.... Shoulda done the poetry, eh?
Mercury class battlestar texture Modification
bleached out. Original file can be found here: http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Mercury_class_Battlestar_Pegasus;98200
Harmonic Defender Retexture
those animated parts actually look like they have a purpose-- a terrifying, typically Borg purpose. As Borg retex work goes, this one's fantastic, and hopefully not the last of its kind. Download this one today.
Race Specific Phaser Flares
talented Icewolf has put together a way to make those phaser bursts (which, ever so annoyingly, all look precisely the same in-game playing stock) all varied and different based on the several races included in the game. A nice touch, certain to add to the PotDs and to the realism of the game. I highly suggest taking what's referred to as the "down and dirty route". It's a lot more work in terms of what it requires, but we're modders, we're used to doing a bit more work to get good results. Do that here, as the results are epically worth it. Download this one today.
Planetary Assimilation Re-texture
intensive, descriptive, and tells you everything you'd ever want to know about the subject. You can either simply apply the re-texture or give the planet an assimilation technique that looks almost like the A2 introduction which terrified us all when first we saw it, featuring multiple Borg colony vessels ripping up a helpless world. We still can't re-create the effect of the colony ships.... but the assimilation is now possible with this mod. Worth a look.
Ferengi texture mod
updates both Ferengi ships' texturing so the lightmaps are vastly improved, especially in dark maps or maps with custom ambient lights. Like version 1, this mod also includes newly-updated textures for multiplayer games. Get this one today.
Transporter Texture Upgrade
than transporting. But judge for yourself.
p81 Intrepid - Texture Modification
Voyager. Now that I\'ve gotten better at using Photoshop, I thought I\'d have a go at altering the textures to look a little more canon. I was pretty happy with the result so I showed the changes I\'d made on the forum, it got some positive feedback so I decided to release what I\'d done :) What started out as a fairly basic edit of the original textures now consists of 3 different texture sets all darkened and recoloured to the more canon grey: Original textures (USS Bellerophon registry) USS Voyager registry Registry removed You can choose which of the texture sets you\'d like to use with your Intrepid Class and just paste them into your texture folder. Whether you want Voyagers registry for use as a hero unit, the removed registry for use with multiple ships, or if you\'d prefer to stick with the Bellerophon version, then you should find this mod useful. NOTE - You will need to have p81\'s Intrepid Class already installed in your game for these textures to be of any use to you. I hope you enjoy the mod! :) Dan(1025)
Constitution Class TNG-Refit Texture-addon
this ship. Best regards R5D5
Welding Beam "Makeover"
up your shipyard, with these colours, they'll be able to build at night...not that it makes much difference in space, but you know, they look great. Download now.
Vor\'Cha Disruptors
Well, stop! We have your answer, or more like, thunderfoot has your answer with new and improved disruptor (and torpedo) textures for the ship that edit what there is and make them look a lot shinier. Gone is the boring red beam and in is the green pulse! Huzzah! Anyhow, recommendable for those of you who like the finer colours in Armada...and of course want more out of destruction.
Background Alternative
kicking yourself as to why you didn't take this piece of advice and start downloading sooner. Taking a look at the preview picture included, I was assured it would be another moderately well made mod...then I looked at the actual texture files. Amazing. This background is a combination of various NASA/public domain long-range photographs of interstellar objects and I strongly recommend you download this, effective immediately. Saved in 512*512 resolution, these are high-detailed, beautiful pictures arranged fantastically to allow you to blast your opponent's armada whilst absorbing the colours and beautiful sights of the galaxy. Simply, download now and enjoy some faultlesly arranged pictures from the final frontier.
Online Mini Texture Pack
fair bit nicer, as do the planets ;) - SSA
Online texture replacement pack 2
worth adding to your installation. Because it's only upgrading textures and not replacing anything it doesn't interfere with multi player compatibility.
Online Texture Replacement
and generally the entire set of textures on the rest of the ship and also has a fully modified texture set for the Galaxy class. Of course, they also come with the Borg textures. If you downloaded the first pack, you\'ll definitely be wanting this one.
Online Texture Pack
opposition would no doubt have to download this in order to see the changes. - SSA
Online Texture Replacement
full use whilst the Sovereign and Negh'Var also get an overhaul. We've been promised a fixed Sovereign as the textures for the ventral (looking from beneath the Sovereign) part of the saucer is the saucer flipped. Should be noted though, this isn't really the fault of the developer as this was how it came stock, but it is a marked improvement. In terms of the Sovereign textures, I'd say they were definitely better, but I'm less optimistic in approach regarding the nacelles, hopefully something else to fix. However, its textures are, as I said, are definitely improved. The Negh'Var does however look stunning. Bar actually getting the known modded Negh'Var model, this is definitely a close second, it really is. Whilst it might not hold true to canon Negh'Vary colours, they do look fantastic on the stock model and definitely make it stand out in a good way. Another plus is that all of these come with their Borg texture equivalents, which is always a pleasant addition. The mod, as it says, does allow you to still play online which is another positive aspect. In short, I look forward to the future releases of these replacement packs because if this is the start, the rest can only be better more so! Download now. An update for the Sovereign and Galaxy class textures can be found here.
Federation \"Venture\" class scout retexture
to your list! Its also multiplayer compatible.
Jetfreak\'s Second Minimod
affect multiplayer. The second part includes a moderately long list of some canon and some other made up ship names making it altogether, a nice little download. If this sounds interesting, download now.
Highlighted Buttons
a long time ago. All I did was change the gamma correction on the prevalent textures (included in this zip) and viola! neat, new easily discerned buttons.
Tactical Cube Re-Texture
in the stock game, it hardly had the most impressive textures, what with it being entirely covered in dull grey armour. Obviously it\'s the simple and effectiveness of the Borg shining through, but it\'s boring. This re-texture nicely turns it around. Freakman, using Night Wolf\'s very good Borg textures, have adapted these for use on the stock Tactical Cube (and Tactical Fusion Cube) giving it a vastly enhanced look. Gone is the dull grey. Now, we get the terrifying sight of the standard issue Borg metal with heavy armour in front. Considering that the rest of it is stock, I\'ve got to hand it to Freakman for making this look so very good. You definitely can\'t fault the quality of placing of the textures. Obviously, not a huge file, this simple mod will make part of your stock game look far far better. Definitely a worthy download.
Ferengi texture mod
many mods still have the Ferengi in, I think this is a must for everybody.
Federation Enhanced Textures Pack (Cruisers and Destroyers)
don\'t get many retextures of the old ones, which is a shame. The stock models do have to be used online and they can\'t be replaced. This is a set of pretty new textures which are well worth a download if your playing online or using the stock models. There are some good screenshots below, and in this case I think they can speak a thousand words. smile
Galaxy, Nebula and Aegian retexture
replaced. This is a set of pretty new textures which are well worth a download if your playing online or using the stock models. There are some good screenshots below, and in this case I think they can speak a thousand words. :)
Enterprise E retexture
difference when your playing multi, as you can install this and still play online. Considering its just textures this is a remarkable job!
Galor and Keldon texture
not entirely sure what has changed. (the texture may be a bit darker?) See if you can outdo me in spotting the differences :)
Build Patch Change
is, well... You all know when you build stuff, you get a nice Green / Red square around the building (depends on whether or not you are trying to build where your allowed too). Anyway, this changes that slightly. :) - Ash
Ambassador Re-Texture
(September \'02) but it has been used in many mod\'s, kit-bashed, converted. In fact, you name it, it\'s likely been done to that ship. This is where one of the universal advantages comes from with this texture though; any mod that uses the original Ambassador textures will benefit from this and it\'s safe to say that that is quite a lot of mods! The changes are seemingly minor, but well received. Gone is the registry that was found on the different points of the hull and edits to the deflector and nacelles, basically making it a bit sharper. The best addition though, without a doubt, has to be the new Borg textures which litter the craft upon assimilation. Perhaps adding a little too much, it shows how much improvement the vessel would take (well it\'d need it, wouldn\'t it, being however old it is) by covering a lot of the saucer and nacelles with implants. At the end of the day, this isn\'t just good if you only have the original Ambassador, as it certainly has a larger purpose, but a lot of well placed effort has gone into this tweak and it\'s certainly recommendable. In short, it gives a bit more life into a ship past its prime. Definitely worthy of a download.
Galaxy & Nebula retextures
me of the Legacy Galaxy textures which are the same shade of grey. They certainly do improve the stock models appeal greatly. The mod also includes Borg textures and an extra texture to suit Epytron Omega\'s nebula variants. A solid piece of retexturing. Nice work! - IKS
Sabre Class Retexture
appearance, while also cleaning up some of the designs on the original texture. This comes with a high resolution and low resolution textures. Overall, a great new take on an old design. – K7A
New Borg ship textures
Tactical Cube and Tactical Fusion Cube. Some scripting changes are also included in the mod, the changes are to the odfs of the Assimilator and the Cubes. The Assimilator now has a transwarp device and it has more special weapon energy, also the auto-assimilator weapon has been fitted on all versions of Cubes (normal, fusion and tactical). In order to get these to work you must remove some of the original .tga files (consult readme for guidelines on how to do so), however the original files are included in rar format in this mod in case you have a change of heart and wish to revert to them. As for the textures themselves, they are not bad. The Cube is a much better improvement over the stock although at times it is hard to distinguish the shape of the cube due to the textures. The Tactical Cube is probably the best of the bunch, the tactical armour is reminiscent of Starfleet hull armour but it looks good nonetheless. The Sphere and Assimilator are good, with the Sphere appearing more :borg:-ish while the Assimilator doesn\'t look any bit like a Borg hull composition but whatever floats your boat I guess ;) In it\'s entirety it is good, a lot better than the stock but not as good as some Borg retextures out there. Still gets a  - IKS
A2 Upgrade Background changing utility
four new backgrounds which are as follows: [*]The Armada 2 original concept art, including the Case Cover [*]A Stargate picture (I do believe) [*]Some really cool general star trek concept art from Mike van Nimwegen (click here to visit his page) [*]and alot of Dogs of War screenshots from K7A (including a very recent PotD) The utility itself comprises of several GUI buttons; [*]A copy button which selects the image to use as themenu bacakground. perhaps it should be called select rather than copy? [*]Revert to Original which will load up the original Armada 2 Menu Background. [*]Random Background which is self-explanatory [*]and a "Manual overide" which allows you to increment or decrement the background numbers to select one manually. A very sleak and brilliantly executed Utility. Great work! - IKS
Oh, and this is the Upgrade Project's third birthday present. :D Enjoy.
Vor'Cha Retexture
say they were absolutely fantastic, they are pretty darn solid and look the part, if not perhaps a little bit too green-washed. Still, the details on them are indeed plentiful and they support ChileTrek's Vor'Cha Variants which is an added bonus. Complete with odf's (which requires some disruptors to be fully supported) it's a good package for those looking to change the look of the Klingon's main cruiser. Good stuff.
Cheyenne and Excalibur Class Retexture
under Porty\'s name back in days gone by :p and the Excalibur is a model which the major has released for Star Trek Legacy as well as Armada 2. Both models are a prerequisite for this mod therefore you can obtain them here and here.. This retexture is much like Jetfreak\'s other mods with respect to the fact that they do include some very neat Borg textures and are nicely done but the lack of alpha channels are a bit of a drawback. However, in saying that they are still quite good and are definitely worth checking out. Keep up the good work Jetfreak  - IKS -
Oberth Class Retexture
upon p81\'s very own Oberth however Jetfreak has also done an accompanying set of Borg textures which are interestingly from a scanned image from the Star Trek: The Next Generation Sketch Book so they could be considered Canon-ish :). There is an Admiral\'s Bitmap along with the retextures but You will have to get Deemon\'s version for the rest (SOD, ODF, techtrees, wireframes, buildbuttons). The mod maybe a small addition but I believe it\'s worth it. These Oberth textures are probably the closest to the hull texturing you see on the series\' or indeed in technical schematic manuals. Another useful addition from Jetfreak. - IKS
