B-17 Singleplayer Mod

only in one single player map for some reason, although it is in several of the multi-player maps. I\'m not sure why EA/DICE made this choice in the final game, as the B-17 is really fun in the single player maps as well, and the whole point of single player is to practice for MP, right? The bots will eagerly fly the B-17 and bomb away - I like to jump on as gunner, when I\'m not carpet bombing, that is. I\'ve tried to use default multiplayer locations for the B-17, except in the Midway and Iwo Jima maps, where it isn\'t in the multi games. The B-17 replaces a Torpedo or Dive Bomber in these maps, and only spawns when the Allies have the control point. I added it to the Midway map because historically B-17\'s were used in one of the initial attacks on the Japanese fleet IIRC on my history. You also get the battleships added in this Midway mod as well, what can I say, I like big bombs and guns ;-) Iwo Jima gets the B-17 as a surrogate for B-29\'s, which flew in to the airbase shortly after it\'s capture. The Corsair that normally spawns at the Iwo airbase when it is under Allied control is replaced with a Mustang, which flew in with the B-29\'s as escort and did operate from Iwo on missions to Japan the last few months of the war. The Mustang pilots had to fight off Japanese soldiers attacking their sleeping quarters at one point - the island hadn\'t even been fully captured when they were flying in. The Corsair still spawns at the carrier. I also tried to get the B-17 into the Wake Island map, just for the heck of it, but there just isn\'t enough runway space to take off without hitting a building, tree or something else.[/quote]

All of the planes have updated physics and proprietary new and significantly enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) behavioral routine settings, so that the ai bots can fly the planes properly. I have also incorporated single player ONLY (will work in Co-op as well) modified maps that feature the B-17 and other changes to enhance the single player game experience. Now includes new eye candy effects designed to emulate US and German gun camera footage. This version also fixes a number of issues with other aspects of the single-player game. - There are now totally separate AI bot behavioral thought processes for ground soldiers, pilots and tankers, instead of the standard games one-size-fits-all approach. All are much more aggressive. AI bot ground soldiers will get knife kills - these guys are now cold blooded killers. - Bazooka/Panzerschrek soldiers only use these weapons on armor, not on other soldiers. They will switch weapons as required to take out other soldiers. - AI soldiers don\'t throw grenades at tanks anymore. - Fixed the cool new 1.4 patch Russian MP assault rifle, that appears to have been released by DICE firing blanks. - Fixed another bug in 1.4 patch - the airplane code included invalid vehicle numbers that causes random game crashes.[/quote]

no idea how to make these Medium tanks. Changed: Longer Cannons Damaged are not changed but it's very accurate (almost not affected by gravity). Install: You will need WinRFA to install this or another program that supports .RFA format. Theres a lot of programs that supports .RFA in any way of installing (install this mod in the way that your program do). Bugs: You may encounter some bugs which i didn't encounter Patch and Expansion pack problems: My game is in patch 1.06.101 it may not work on lower versions of the game. I haven't tested it on expansion packs (Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WW2). Credits: Dice for making the game

maps that will be included in tomorrow's release (6/22/07). In the first map to introduce is Olympus Station where the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons duel to gain control of this space station. The second map displayed is The Sky is The Limit. This map has a very unique and exciting game play unlike any other. The melee battle consists of various levels of narrow ramps connecting extremely tall buildings. Watch your step, because if you fall you will die; however, don't take your eye off the enemies in front, below, or above you. The next map you see is Uncharted Waters. This is a naval battle where the Decepticons are attempting to steel precious oil from an ocean drilling site and it's up to the Autobots to stop them. The last map is Valley of Death. After battling the Decepticons in space, the Autobots make a crash landing in a mountain range on earth. The Decepticons will not stop until all of the Autobots are eradicated; however, the Autobots are not ready to give up the fight. The mod consist of many more maps including Sword maps and Unlimited maps. Sword maps is pretty self explanatory. Every player class has a sword and that's it. Unlimited maps have special features such as everyone having low gravity kits. You'll enjoy the pleasure of shooting other robots out of the air while flying in robot mode. If you stumble upon a Matrix Kit you can pick it up ('g' key default). By doing so it will turn you into a new transformer with different weapons, features, abilities, and/or transformations. Speaking of transformations, the recharge times have been significantly reduced in version 2.0. Also, by fans request, all vehicles that shot bullets, now shoot lasers.

Real Plane Mod

mod. The stock planes (with the exception of the B-17 concession outlined below) have been modified to match reality as closely as I could make them. I have also incorporated single player ONLY (will work in Co-op as well) modified maps that feature more planes and add the B-17. Both the new 20mm cannons and all machine guns have more appropriate muzzle velocities and loadout values for each plane now. The 20mm cannon shells are visible in the air. Pilots called them "flaming softballs". The cannons are activated with the secondary fire key. You lose the bombs in the Spit, BF109, Yak and Zero, but these planes were all lightweight point source interceptors anyway - bombs weren't their thing. The high lethality cannons more than make up for the loss - they are more of a challenge to use and more fun to me. B-17: Ten (was eight) 1,000 lb bombs, .50 caliber machine guns. I didn't add any more, just set muzzle velocity and lethality to more appropriate values, and believe me, this plane is lethal enough now when the existing gun locations are occupied. At one point I added more guns, but the Ai are just too good at shooting. I had to tone down the lethality settings - I was getting shredded if I got anywhere near the plane. Note: My one concession to unreality is here: the B-17 also now functions as a moving paratroop spawn point, with up to eight paratroops at once. This isn't real, of course, but I really wanted a C-47 in the game. The B-17 is dual purpose for now until I can get this done. Besides, it's a really cool effect. BF-109E: Two 7.9mm machine guns added in the engine cowling above the engine, two 7.9mm machine guns in the wings, and one 20mm cannon added, firing through the prop spinner. Many E's had the 20mm either disconnected or removed (due to jamming problems), this one doesn't, because it represents the typical cannon mount and size used in most later versions. The cannon is fired by the secondary fire command. The icon for the bombs is now a cannon shell icon. Corsair - Six (was two) .50 caliber machine guns and two 1,000 (was 500) pound bombs, now located at the proper hardpoints under the wings. Mustang - Same armament changes as the Corsair. SBD - Two forward firing .50 caliber machine guns and two rear firing .30 caliber machine guns. No changes other than lethality adjustments for the different caliber guns. Spitfire XIV - Two .50 caliber machine guns and two 20mm cannons (added) in the wings. Val - Three 7.7mm machine guns, two forward facing and one rear facing. No changes other than lethality adjustments. Yak 9 - Two engine cowling mounted 12.7mm machine guns and one 20mm cannon firing through the propellor spinner. Existing wing guns removed. Fixed the annoying camera offset so gunfire lines up correctly on the centerline of the plane. Zero - Two engine cowling mounted 7.7mm machine guns added and two 20mm cannons mounted in the wings to replace the original machine guns. Planes get added hitpoints needed because of the more realistic gun placements and lethality. The B-17 has the most, followed by the big air-cooled Hog (Corsair) and SBD, and then the liquid cooled planes (Mustang, Spit, Yak, 109). The Japanese planes had no armor changes, well, because they had no armor and blew up if you breathed too hard on them. They believed that planes should be lightweight and maneuverable enough that another plane couldn't get a shot at you. That strategy worked until about 1942 ;-) Instead of one generic plane gun model as used by the stock game, I have incorporated damage values appropriate for the type of gun. The 20mm cannons and the six .50's used in the Corsair and Mustang will now damage tanks and ships. The other guns will not, but will have varying lethality against other objects that is now defined by the size of the gun. Both Corsairs and Mustangs sank numerous ships during the war with machine gun fire only. You won't be sinking any battleships or carriers this way, but destroyers and smaller can be severely crippled or taken out if you put enough lead into them. I reassigned the AI for the bots so they will strafe tanks with the cannon and six fifties and watched them perform impressively in action; I haven't seen them strafe ships yet, though they should. One thing I couldn't fix is the AI occasionally will press their attacks so closely that they will crash into their target (target fixation). This usually just happens when they attack the B-17. I tried resetting the minimum firing range setting, so they wouldn't get too close, and they just ignored the setting. I reset the value to the original since it didn't seem to help. Since this happens to me flying a plane sometimes, I guess it's something I can live with. Also, cleaned up some bad references I found in the original game code that seemed to make the game more stable for me. Other small changes I don't remember... Single player level changes: Bocage: Added 1 - B-17, 1 - 109 and 1 - Stuka Gazala: Added 1 - B-17 (at the NW open base) El Alamein: Added 1 - 109 and 1 - Spit at each airbase Operation Market Garden: Added 1 - B-17, 2 - Mustangs Midway: Added 1 - B-17 that only spawns at the airbase when the Allies control it. Iwo Jima: Added 1 - B-17 (yeah it's supposed to be a B-29, I know) that only spawns at the airbase when the Allies control it, and the Corsair that normally spawns there is now the correct plane that flew from Iwo airbase - a Mustang. Feel free to incorporate any of this mod in other mods, but please give me some credit. It took a hell of a lot of testing to get this stuff the way it is. Thanks. My credits and inspiration: Seabees BF1942 Construction Battalion (object placement and spawn tutorials), shrp77 (gmakeRFA program), moseley (rfa extractor and rfa maker that gmakeRFA is based on), and especially Colonel Slaine, who's Plane Gun mod was the original inspiration for this mod. Planes: Allies - two Spitfire w/ rockets and two SBD dive bombers on the Northeastern Airfield (home base), one Spitfire, one SBD and one B-17 bomber waiting for their crews on the free NW Airfield - even in singleplayer mode (again, securing this base is important!) Axis - two Bf 109 w/missiles, one Stuka, two StukaG Kanonenvogel and two Zeros on the Axis airfield.

several people have downloaded the patch in its intermediate state before the final patch was publically announced. This version causes crashes when played on the official server. It is important that you install the final 0.791 patch over a CLEAN v0.79 install. We recommend deleting your Battlefield1942/mods/DC_Realism/ folder, then freshly install the 0.79 install and the 0.791 patch. The new No Fly Zone Day 2 involves multiple Iraqi armored columns supported by Mirages counterattacking the Coalition airbase. The Coalition must prevent the destruction of their airfield by hunting down enemy tanks and artillery before it\'s too late. Among their strike aircraft they also will be using the revised AC-130 gunship. Sound revision addon for Forgotten Hope 0.61 (16 Mar 2004) This addon is an attempt to add a bit more realism to the game by replacing some obviously synthesized sounds with ones that come closer to real life. The addon mostly replaces handweapons and especially machineguns. Few if any large weapons have been touched. Only sounds which sounded far from realistic were adjusted. Only the 44khz and 22khz sounds have been touched. You will not experience any changes in 11khz mode. Unfortunately, this is merely a sound replacement. THe actual handling and soundscripting of the weapons have not been changed. Because of this, many of the weapons are still not sounding as good as they could. Many have priority problems causing them to go silent, and others have poor looping parameters. Many are not optimized for range / priority. I have no control over this, and have chosen sounds that work as good as can be expected for the given soundscripts. Note that this is a simple file addition, it does not overwrite any FH files and is completely compatible with punkbuster. I have sucessfully used it in multiple popular FH servers for a few weeks. *** INSTALLATION *** You will see one file within this zip file, called sound_001.rfa. This file goes into your Mods directory. The following files are included in this zip (with pathnames) /mods/FH/archives/sound_001.rfa Again, this is not a mod or a minimod. Once you drop this file in, you will immediately experience the changes in your next game. Make the equipment parallel real equipment more closely I have not created this mod to rival the DC team. Instead, I have made this mod to offer an alternate set of behaviors for comparison. Most importantly, many new projectiles have been created so there can be more diversity between the weapons. These additions include new projectiles AND material definitions. For example, in 0.35, the assault rifles used the original BF1942 bullets. I have created many new projectiles which are a specific caliber instead of being weapon specific. For example, I have made 9mm, 5.56, 7.62x39, 7.62x54, .50cal, 25mm HEDP, 20mm, etc. This allows for easy projectile assignment to weapons. If you know the caliber of a weapon, you simply select that caliber projectile for it. No guessing what BF1942 weapon most closely resembles your weapon. It will not be noted below, but most weapons now use unique projectiles. Additionally, the prefect accuracy bug was corrected for firearms. Each firearm has been assigned an accuracy appropriate to it\'s real counterpart. I will not note these changes in the weapon descriptions, but rest assured, I\'ve fixed them. The following changes have been made (by order of item). Minor changes not listed. - Firearms -- M249 This is more an anti-infantry weapon now. Advantage: easier to control Disadvantage: Ineffective against vehicles Changes: Uses M16 bullet. Lower recoil, less max spread, faster recovery. -- PKM This is more of a support weapon now. Advantage: High power (2 shot kill vs. infantry), can harm aircraft Disadvantage: Poor control when not prone Changes: Increased recoil and recovery time when not prone. 100 round clip. -- M16 This weapon was given more controllability. It is basically unchanged. Advantage: Easy to control, very accurate Disadvantage: least powerful of the rifles Changes: slight changes to recoil, recovery, accuracy -- AKM This weapon was nearly unchanged, but it was given slightly more power Advantage: Slightly more power, can harm soft armor Disadvantage: Higher recoil, harder to control Changes: slight changes to recoil, recovery, accuracy, damage -- Sniper rifles Nearly no changes to behavior. M25 was given a mildot reticle -- AK74SU This weapon was greatly changed. It comes much closer to the real weapon, giving it strong differences from the MP5. Advantage: Powerful as a M16, swift recovery Disadvantage: High recoil, less accurate than a rifle Changes: Increased recoil, changed projectile -- MP5 The MP5 was mostly adjusted for accuracy and recoil. As in real life, the MP5 is now very controllable in automatic fire. It is a very good CQB weapon and is the only weapon that performs well on the move. Advantage: Very low recoil, controllable while moving Disadvantage: weak bullet, moderate accuracy Changes: Reduced recoil, increased recovery, reduced max spread - Vehicles -- BRDM Hit points increased from 50 to 75 (HMMWV had 100 HP) -- BRDM Spandrel Fire time between shots reduced Total ammunition reduced to 10 missiles Hit points increased from 50 to 75 (HMMWV had 100 HP) -- HMMWV Hit points reduced from 100 to 50 -- HMMWV TOW Reload time between missiles increased TOW damage increased Hit points reduced from 100 to 50 -- M168 Vulcan Changed minimum gun angle to be parallel with the ground Reduced vehicle recoil -- Shilka Changed minimum gun angle to be parallel with the ground Removed exposed gunner Increased rate of fire to match M168 Reduced vehicle recoil -- M1A2 Increased hit points from 100 to 150 Reduced vehicle recoil Created .50 cal M2 browning weapon Created 7.62x54 M240 coax machinegun -- T72 Reduced vehicle recoil Uses M2 browning and M240 coax -- Artillery vehicles (shell) 75 rounds reduced vehicle recoil damage vs. armor reduced splash radius increased -- Artillery rocket vehicles Reduced vehicle recoil Increased rocket magazine reload time (except SCUD) - Aircraft -- Mig29, F16 Increased rocket speed and straightened rocket arc -- Apache Removed extra rocket magazines Gave 25mm high explosive dual purpose nose cannon ammo -- Hind Removed extra rocket magazines Gave .50 cal rapid fire nose cannon 64 FFAR rockets 4 AT-3s The changes listed above comprise the majority and most remarkable of the changes I have made to DC 0.35a. If you want to use this mod in a multiplayer game, you must have the modified files on every machine playing. Obviously, then, you will probably be restricted to LAN play unless some brave soul chooses to run an internet server for it. I\'ve playtested these changes with a LAN group of 5 people, and we were quite satisfied with the changes. This is the first release, and, of course, it won\'t be too long before DC 0.4 is released. So you must keep in mind this mod is experimental only, and is intended to demonstrate an alternate game-balance system. I hope you have fun playing it, I sure do. And make sure to check out my sound mod as well. P.S. There is a known issue with the M1 and T72 browning and coax machine guns. Because they were custom created and I am not experienced with sound scripting, there is a problem with the weapon sounds. Currently, these two weapons do not make sounds when fired. If anyone can look at the weapon code (under the M1 folder in the objects.rfa) and tell me what\'s wrong, please contact me. I\'ll greatly appreciate the help. [/quote]

This is the first game I have modded and I am the only person who has worked on this mod and I have had no help in terms of coding, skinning, mapping and basic BF1942 modding techniques. So this mod may not be up to the same standards as Desert Combat but I believe it is a fun mod and that is the reason I decided to make it for fun :)[/quote][b]Gameplay[/b] The basic premise of BFGP is that you can play a variety of roles all centering around the main event of a Grand Prix style race. You could be a driver participating in the race or you may choose to be pit crew with your tools and spanner ready. You could go for a marshall and be responsible for starting the race or driving the pace car in the car of a rolling start. Or alternatively be a cameraman flying the chopper and filming the race. One for those with the hardware and the likes of Fraps installed to record the video footage. The Mod has a new game mode called Grand Prix where there are 2 pits, one for International Drivers and one for British drivers. When racing around the circuits theres a lap counter that records your laps. Your completed laps are shown where your score would normally appear. Each round of the game will be on a timelimit and the winner is the person with the most laps in that time, i.e they were the fastest round the track. To control the start lights you just need to walk up to it and press e to enter it. Then press 1 to goto positon 1. Using the up and down arrow keys turns the lights on and off and basically you go from position 1 to 6 turning each set of lights on to start the race. The camera view for the startline is set so you can see what the lights are doing. Check out the official site for additional info if you aren´t curious enough yet. The carmodels need some work but the idea of this mod and the content of this first version are very good, not to mention the fact that this is a one-man job, and most of all, this is an original mod idea (yeah well it´s based on excisting sports / games but you get my point eh)? It should be noted that tickets may need to be set to at least 200% in order to keep the server from restarting, or to cause an instant draw when entering the game! 1.b, so it will be updated to the new versions. This way GC will be for internet play and GC_SP will be for SP/coop. The AI have been fixed up to a level where i think it\'s comfortable. Whenever u fly a snowspeeder you will want a bot to arm the tow gun in the back, he\'ll kill any thing that follows you (tie perhaps), watch out for AT-ST\'s they\'ll gun you down land or air, hop in a millenium falcon and pick up 2 bots to arm the turrets and watch them take out the enemy. There are some other changes fixing problems with the incomplete vehicles one being the x-wing. And i also decided to add a 3rd person view. There are problems with the A-Wing still (being its shaky engines), and the proton torpedos and concussion missile have their problems, i\'ve tried to fix these 3 things but i guess the GC dev\'s will fix em up later in a new version of GC. I didnt include any maps with this becuase i needed to conserve file size so i could e-mail it, plus those maps can already be found in bf1942files.com, but most likely many of u already have those maps in your GCMOD levels folder and !you need to move those to the new GC_SP levels folder. I\'ve been working on SP Hoth, and i\'ve been working on a new rogue squadron map that makes for a great dog fight. So i\'ll try to get those out soon![/quote]

You all know the story of Stalingrad and how the German 6th army was destroyed in a cauldron of hot metal and fire. A model city without a clearly defined strategical status turned into a crucible, where men fought, and died in droves, in what had become nothing more than a clash of egos for two dictators. Even though the later years of the war saw more encirclements of this nature, and at even greater loss of lives and materiel, for both parties Stalingrad remains the epitome of urban warfare at its most nightmarish. Rather than blitzing miles -long advances into stunned enemy territory, the Germans had to conquer Stalingrad block by block, house by house, cellar by cellar, while the Russians grimly clung to a mere 10% of the city - the Lightning War turned into a War of Rats. Our mod grants you the opportunity to either join the 16th panzer division and attempt to break through to the Wolga river or join the 62nd Russian army and take hold of the German strongpoints around the railway station. It probably would not be ethical to play with this Mod online as it would give you a very good advantage over other players. When packaging this mod for download I could not really think of a name that would not offend too many people. A suggestion was “A tribute to the gay and lesbians serving in Iraq” but PsychoMod was adopted instead. How it works The mod exploits the way in which your 3D engine renders bitmaps on to 3D objects. Your 3D card interlaces many different sized images to create a seamless rendered object. This mod simply replaces those images with many different colored ones, creating a Psychedelic affect. Installation Instructions - if the installer does not find you Desert Combat folder install it in Battlefield 1942\\Mods\\DesertCombat\\Archives Uninstall To uninstall this mod simply reinstall you DesertCombat mod. BTW: You can enter the Priest. This obstacle is a good place to get shot by snipers because infantry *has* to get closer without cover. See the above note on placing the object (\"plain surface\"). M3A1: That\'s the APC with red cross camouflage and single top MG (bed in the back): Driver can place a minefield (8 new mines) and up to two AT/Artillery guns wherever he wants. Please place the guns carefully (\"plain surface\"). The new mines are smaller than the engineer\'s ones, and they detonate when an infantry soldier comes closer than 3 metres - they do not harm soldiers though - they damage only vehicles. This minefield can be used to kill tanks, of course, and to reinforce the tank obstacle (see Willy). If properly placed, the mines avoid enemy infantry because they would detonate and destroy the Priest wreck whose blast would kill enemy infantry. It\'s a little tricky, I know ;-) Axis: Hanomag AT 75: Driver can place one or two AT guns and minefield - see M3A1. Updated Trucks: The Mobile Missile Artillery Truck now is a one-seater - driver is the gunner, no more \"smacktard drives away while gunner aims\" AA Truck - no changes, obviously. Attack Truck: Two-seater with Red Cross disguise. Weapons officer operates placing of the new \"TNT Ambush\" and minefield. TNT Ambush: Four new TNT packs placed behind the vehicle. Huge blast when detonated, killing infantry and vehicles. To detonate, place mines/minefield, throw hand grenades or engineer\'s exp-pack. Some of the TNT packs might not explode instantly but with a few seconds delay ;-) The minefield serves as detonator, approaching enemy infantry will cause the mines to explode, thus blowing up the TNT. For minefield details (new mines), see \"M3A1\". Supply Truck: Three-seater, Red Cross camouflage, weapons officer can place \"TNT Ambush\" and minefield (see above). Marder III and Wespe: Driver can place the new tank & infantry obstacle, Axis version: A Hanomag Wreck, dug in, filled with explosives, plus gasoline barrels, plus dug-in artillery ammo, plus barbwire. Cannot be cleared by tanks etc., enemy has to blow the obstacle away (fighter bomb, grenades etc.). Caution: The Hanomag will cause a huge blast when detonated, killing infantry and vehicles. Driver can also place a minefield to reinforce the obstacle. _______________________________________ Generally, the new features are available \"on demand\", so you don\'t *have* to use them. You may have noticed that the Allies\' attack capabilities were improved (new mobile & stationary artillery) while additional weapons/objects for Axis are defensive ones. So be it ... ;-) I would suggest you try the new features in a conquest game for yourself - placing the objects properly, clearing the obstacles etc. Multiplayer mode was tested on Dice Dedicated Server (Windows). The engine of the jeep will stop working, but the battle turrets still function. The jeep will light on fire but must be damaged further in order to be destroyed. It will not burn to death on its own. This is especially nice in racing as engineers can hit obstacles and often the jeep will not immediately explode.

Three additional vehicles (two maintenance / supply vehicles and the Marder III tank hunter). The maintenance vehicles can repair all modded tanks, trucks, APCs, planes and guns from the Mod Collection RtR. AT25/Pak40 guns are also artillery guns (can fire two different types of ammo) and have less ammo - more than 200 rounds though; (additional ammo needs to be supplied by the new APC/truck). AT ammo more effective, shooting more straight. Artillery ammo does less damage than Priest/Wespe. MG damage to planes reduced - pilots live longer. The RtR MedicBox is on all maps now. Priest and M3 Grant are 4-seaters like the StuG Allies now have 4 APC types, Axis 4 different trucks. The new Allied AAGMC maintenance halftrack has 4 AA Brownings. All APC front doors can be opened (by the driver, arrow keys like in the landing craft), on two halftracks the rear door also opens. Axis smoke discharger truck has camouflage for the weapons compartment - looks like a standard truck.[/quote]

A really good warplane but only 262 of those were built. -Lockheed Lightning P38, which was intended to be a fighter and which in fact made a wide range of missions all along the war. Changed: -Boulton P82 Paul Defiant that was made by Gareth "Section8" Davies. I just changed some features to make it flies better. -Spitfire now is a pure fighter with four 7.7mm guns and two 20mm as secondary weapon. -Bf109 is changed as the spitfire with two 12.7mm guns and a 30mm as secondary weapon. -B17 has now five guns positions the two turrets of the original model two browning along the fuselage and a double browning in the tail. NB: there is still some problems of texture on the Mc205 and P38 that will be removed later... Spitfire and Bf109 secondary weapons can damage armoured units.[/quote]

I decided BF42 needed an atomic bomb to have some fun with. So what i did was;I turned up the B-17 Bomb's blast radius and also turned up its effectiveness. The B-17 also get a little hit point bonus, so it wont blow itself up. The down side is you only get 2 bombs starting out, and a very slow reload time. *Caution* BE careful on the Bocage map:) Remeber this mod will have updates to come such as adding b-17 to both sides and have the B-17 on everyflyable map. Also eventually i will give the B-17 a little more speed and a new skin. I just decided that i would get this part out to see how people feel about the mod, and will give in their input too. Main complaints were: - The gunner (standing) was exposed to enemy infantry fire (I warned you!) - The rapid-fire high velocity 2 cm cannon was not able to kill heavy enemy tanks with two or three shots (I told you so!) - The Hanomag AT was not armored like a tank (Yes, it's not a tank!) The SdKfz 250/251 (in-game called "Hanomag") was a light APC and multi purpose vehicle, but in fact it was also used as a tank destroyer (SdKfz 251/9 with 75 mm gun from the Panzer IV). Some versions had a turret, others were lacking any protection for the gunner/crew.[/quote]

Careful though, to balance out the devastation small firearms will do some damage to the vehicle and tank shells will pretty much rip you apart with one shot. Strategic use of this M3-AA gun is your best bet, going Rambo on an enemy base isn't. :p Note: While this is classed as a single player mod, it should be possible to play online with it installed as long as the server has the same mod files.

Now like Snyder said, this is a single player mod only. If I'm not mistaken, it'll require you to extract your Objects.rfa which can prevent you from playing online. So before you extract the Objects.rfa, make sure you back it up or rename it to something like oldobjects.old so that you'll have it if/when you need to restore it. Now download this file and start plastering the enemy with death from above. :p If you're looking for rockets on the BF109 and just the 109, Blitzer's rocket mod is perfect for you.

I got a light blood one which is barely noticable, and a heavier one that is more noticable, and with the blood patch too there is HELLA blood WOOT![/quote] Lee and I both tried taking some descriptive screenshots, yet somehow Battlefield's screen capturing managed to jerk us around every time. :lol: The picture on the left is from Lee, showing a bit of blood around the arm area. On the right is one I took using the objects_007.rfa from [file=http://www.bf1942files.com/file.info?ID=6487]MDK's Blood Patch[/file] and Major Lee's light blood file. I know, hard to see anything in those, but here's the basic difference between Lee and MDK's files (I haven't seen Mange's yet which can be found in the Merciless Historic Addon v3). Major's Blood effect is much more concentrated and has more of a splatter look to it when you see it, it's also darker which looks quite nice in-game. MDK's version has a nice "cloud" dispersal effect and lighter blood. My preference is to combine the cloud dispersal with Lee's blood coloring (that means use MDK's objects_007.rfa and Major Lee's e_blood_4pcs.tga). Phew, now that we're past that let me get on to talking about the contents of this zip. Lee's included the light and heavy versions of his blood file as easy to install rfa's AND, for those of us with texture folders, included light and heavy versions in the standard tga format. So there's no need for extra extracting, all the files you'll require are included right there in the zip. All that's left now is for you to download it and decide which one you like more, light or heavy? :thumbsup:
