respawn after some races. A checkpoint is in fact two flags: one for the axis and the other for the allies. Each flag and the direction of the following race is indicated by a pannel. At the end a flag must be taken and it will reduce the number of tickets of the other team. However this flag can be taken by the other team at any moment contrary to the checkpoints. Every weapons and every vehicles are the same that in Battlefield 1942 or they were taken in different mods with their agreement. Some vehicles of Battlefield 1942 have been modified by HeRbE and Naimbus. During the development many tests have been made and they showed that nobody can cheat and pass one race.

I decided BF42 needed an atomic bomb to have some fun with. So what i did was;I turned up the B-17 Bomb's blast radius and also turned up its effectiveness. The B-17 also get a little hit point bonus, so it wont blow itself up. The down side is you only get 2 bombs starting out, and a very slow reload time. *Caution* BE careful on the Bocage map:) Remeber this mod will have updates to come such as adding b-17 to both sides and have the B-17 on everyflyable map. Also eventually i will give the B-17 a little more speed and a new skin. I just decided that i would get this part out to see how people feel about the mod, and will give in their input too. I got a light blood one which is barely noticable, and a heavier one that is more noticable, and with the blood patch too there is HELLA blood WOOT![/quote] Lee and I both tried taking some descriptive screenshots, yet somehow Battlefield's screen capturing managed to jerk us around every time. :lol: The picture on the left is from Lee, showing a bit of blood around the arm area. On the right is one I took using the objects_007.rfa from [file=http://www.bf1942files.com/file.info?ID=6487]MDK's Blood Patch[/file] and Major Lee's light blood file. I know, hard to see anything in those, but here's the basic difference between Lee and MDK's files (I haven't seen Mange's yet which can be found in the Merciless Historic Addon v3). Major's Blood effect is much more concentrated and has more of a splatter look to it when you see it, it's also darker which looks quite nice in-game. MDK's version has a nice "cloud" dispersal effect and lighter blood. My preference is to combine the cloud dispersal with Lee's blood coloring (that means use MDK's objects_007.rfa and Major Lee's e_blood_4pcs.tga). Phew, now that we're past that let me get on to talking about the contents of this zip. Lee's included the light and heavy versions of his blood file as easy to install rfa's AND, for those of us with texture folders, included light and heavy versions in the standard tga format. So there's no need for extra extracting, all the files you'll require are included right there in the zip. All that's left now is for you to download it and decide which one you like more, light or heavy? :thumbsup:

1.b, so it will be updated to the new versions. This way GC will be for internet play and GC_SP will be for SP/coop. The AI have been fixed up to a level where i think it\'s comfortable. Whenever u fly a snowspeeder you will want a bot to arm the tow gun in the back, he\'ll kill any thing that follows you (tie perhaps), watch out for AT-ST\'s they\'ll gun you down land or air, hop in a millenium falcon and pick up 2 bots to arm the turrets and watch them take out the enemy. There are some other changes fixing problems with the incomplete vehicles one being the x-wing. And i also decided to add a 3rd person view. There are problems with the A-Wing still (being its shaky engines), and the proton torpedos and concussion missile have their problems, i\'ve tried to fix these 3 things but i guess the GC dev\'s will fix em up later in a new version of GC. I didnt include any maps with this becuase i needed to conserve file size so i could e-mail it, plus those maps can already be found in bf1942files.com, but most likely many of u already have those maps in your GCMOD levels folder and !you need to move those to the new GC_SP levels folder. I\'ve been working on SP Hoth, and i\'ve been working on a new rogue squadron map that makes for a great dog fight. So i\'ll try to get those out soon![/quote]

The level contains 1 new model: the KV1 Russian heavy tank made by Haribo & joc and has the PaK and StuG imported from RTR ( which is necessary to run the mod). We would like to welcome heartily 3 new members to the Headshot Enterprises team: - Gurki - skinner, mapper, coder. - Haribo - unwrapper, coder, mapper. - Joc - modeller. You all know the story of Stalingrad and how the German 6th army was destroyed in a cauldron of hot metal and fire. A model city without a clearly defined strategical status turned into a crucible, where men fought, and died in droves, in what had become nothing more than a clash of egos for two dictators. Even though the later years of the war saw more encirclements of this nature, and at even greater loss of lives and materiel, for both parties Stalingrad remains the epitome of urban warfare at its most nightmarish. Rather than blitzing miles -long advances into stunned enemy territory, the Germans had to conquer Stalingrad block by block, house by house, cellar by cellar, while the Russians grimly clung to a mere 10% of the city - the Lightning War turned into a War of Rats. Our mod grants you the opportunity to either join the 16th panzer division and attempt to break through to the Wolga river or join the 62nd Russian army and take hold of the German strongpoints around the railway station. Either way you will have a hard time achieving the goals set... we advise you on first concentrating on staying alive. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: The pack contains a set of files which you can simply unzip to your [gamefolder]\\mods folder and activate it after starting the game. When packaging this mod for download I could not really think of a name that would not offend too many people. A suggestion was “A tribute to the gay and lesbians serving in Iraq” but PsychoMod was adopted instead. How it works The mod exploits the way in which your 3D engine renders bitmaps on to 3D objects. Your 3D card interlaces many different sized images to create a seamless rendered object. This mod simply replaces those images with many different colored ones, creating a Psychedelic affect. The engine of the jeep will stop working, but the battle turrets still function. The jeep will light on fire but must be damaged further in order to be destroyed. It will not burn to death on its own. This is especially nice in racing as engineers can hit obstacles and often the jeep will not immediately explode.

A really good warplane but only 262 of those were built. -Lockheed Lightning P38, which was intended to be a fighter and which in fact made a wide range of missions all along the war. Changed: -Boulton P82 Paul Defiant that was made by Gareth "Section8" Davies. I just changed some features to make it flies better. -Spitfire now is a pure fighter with four 7.7mm guns and two 20mm as secondary weapon. -Bf109 is changed as the spitfire with two 12.7mm guns and a 30mm as secondary weapon. -B17 has now five guns positions the two turrets of the original model two browning along the fuselage and a double browning in the tail. NB: there is still some problems of texture on the Mc205 and P38 that will be removed later... Spitfire and Bf109 secondary weapons can damage armoured units.[/quote]

Real Plane Mod

mod. The stock planes (with the exception of the B-17 concession outlined below) have been modified to match reality as closely as I could make them. I have also incorporated single player ONLY (will work in Co-op as well) modified maps that feature more planes and add the B-17. Both the new 20mm cannons and all machine guns have more appropriate muzzle velocities and loadout values for each plane now. The 20mm cannon shells are visible in the air. Pilots called them "flaming softballs". The cannons are activated with the secondary fire key. You lose the bombs in the Spit, BF109, Yak and Zero, but these planes were all lightweight point source interceptors anyway - bombs weren't their thing. The high lethality cannons more than make up for the loss - they are more of a challenge to use and more fun to me. B-17: Ten (was eight) 1,000 lb bombs, .50 caliber machine guns. I didn't add any more, just set muzzle velocity and lethality to more appropriate values, and believe me, this plane is lethal enough now when the existing gun locations are occupied. At one point I added more guns, but the Ai are just too good at shooting. I had to tone down the lethality settings - I was getting shredded if I got anywhere near the plane. Note: My one concession to unreality is here: the B-17 also now functions as a moving paratroop spawn point, with up to eight paratroops at once. This isn't real, of course, but I really wanted a C-47 in the game. The B-17 is dual purpose for now until I can get this done. Besides, it's a really cool effect. BF-109E: Two 7.9mm machine guns added in the engine cowling above the engine, two 7.9mm machine guns in the wings, and one 20mm cannon added, firing through the prop spinner. Many E's had the 20mm either disconnected or removed (due to jamming problems), this one doesn't, because it represents the typical cannon mount and size used in most later versions. The cannon is fired by the secondary fire command. The icon for the bombs is now a cannon shell icon. Corsair - Six (was two) .50 caliber machine guns and two 1,000 (was 500) pound bombs, now located at the proper hardpoints under the wings. Mustang - Same armament changes as the Corsair. SBD - Two forward firing .50 caliber machine guns and two rear firing .30 caliber machine guns. No changes other than lethality adjustments for the different caliber guns. Spitfire XIV - Two .50 caliber machine guns and two 20mm cannons (added) in the wings. Val - Three 7.7mm machine guns, two forward facing and one rear facing. No changes other than lethality adjustments. Yak 9 - Two engine cowling mounted 12.7mm machine guns and one 20mm cannon firing through the propellor spinner. Existing wing guns removed. Fixed the annoying camera offset so gunfire lines up correctly on the centerline of the plane. Zero - Two engine cowling mounted 7.7mm machine guns added and two 20mm cannons mounted in the wings to replace the original machine guns. Planes get added hitpoints needed because of the more realistic gun placements and lethality. The B-17 has the most, followed by the big air-cooled Hog (Corsair) and SBD, and then the liquid cooled planes (Mustang, Spit, Yak, 109). The Japanese planes had no armor changes, well, because they had no armor and blew up if you breathed too hard on them. They believed that planes should be lightweight and maneuverable enough that another plane couldn't get a shot at you. That strategy worked until about 1942 ;-) Instead of one generic plane gun model as used by the stock game, I have incorporated damage values appropriate for the type of gun. The 20mm cannons and the six .50's used in the Corsair and Mustang will now damage tanks and ships. The other guns will not, but will have varying lethality against other objects that is now defined by the size of the gun. Both Corsairs and Mustangs sank numerous ships during the war with machine gun fire only. You won't be sinking any battleships or carriers this way, but destroyers and smaller can be severely crippled or taken out if you put enough lead into them. I reassigned the AI for the bots so they will strafe tanks with the cannon and six fifties and watched them perform impressively in action; I haven't seen them strafe ships yet, though they should. One thing I couldn't fix is the AI occasionally will press their attacks so closely that they will crash into their target (target fixation). This usually just happens when they attack the B-17. I tried resetting the minimum firing range setting, so they wouldn't get too close, and they just ignored the setting. I reset the value to the original since it didn't seem to help. Since this happens to me flying a plane sometimes, I guess it's something I can live with. Also, cleaned up some bad references I found in the original game code that seemed to make the game more stable for me. Other small changes I don't remember... Iwo Jima: Added 1 - B-17 (yeah it's supposed to be a B-29, I know) that only spawns at the airbase when the Allies control it, and the Corsair that normally spawns there is now the correct plane that flew from Iwo airbase - a Mustang. Feel free to incorporate any of this mod in other mods, but please give me some credit. It took a hell of a lot of testing to get this stuff the way it is. Thanks. I kinda made up a game for the 2.1 patch to go along with everything I have done. Basically the goal of the Allies is to Win by destroying everything in sight with the nuke. Then the axis has been beefed up so that they can win by (A).destroying the bomber with their cooler modified planes, or (B) win by capturing the flags, seeing as all axis should be allies on a one on one confrontation. All new load up screens for all maps!!!!!!!!!!!!! ====== Fixes ====== Allied Attributes: B-17 in now 25% faster, but has less hitpoint than my previos mod B-17 nuke has less radius damage(wont spread as far) B-17 has new skin. Nearly all troops will have the basic rifle, which will hopefully closely approximate WW2 conditions. I was satisfied playtesting this with 36 bots on Battleaxe, and was pleased to see \"squads\" of infantry carrying rifles, not SMGs or ARs, and watching infantry charges. Plus a new light tank for the British: Resembles the Chi-ha, very fast (the fastest tank in BF42) and manoeuvreable, carries up to 3 men. Driver operates the main gun plus coax MG, #2 operates the MG in the front hull, #3 -> top MG. The front MG is in a fixed position and you use AltFire (or right mouse button) to fire. These light tanks replace some of the Willy jeeps known from the standard Gazala map. Other vehicles: The British get some default Shermans, Shermans with high velocity gun (long gun barrel), the M3A1 Ambulance spawns a Skyhawk, and there\'s one heavy tank M 10 on the free Air Base in the Northwest (in case the British are clever enough to secure this base in time). Plus Priest artillery and Willy jeeps. The Germans get a few Panzer IVG for some of their P IV, one Tiger heavy tank on their main base and one Artillery Truck w/ missiles. Wespe and Skyhawks. Planes: Allies - two Spitfire w/ rockets and two SBD dive bombers on the Northeastern Airfield (home base), one Spitfire, one SBD and one B-17 bomber waiting for their crews on the free NW Airfield - even in singleplayer mode (again, securing this base is important!) Axis - two Bf 109 w/missiles, one Stuka, two StukaG Kanonenvogel and two Zeros on the Axis airfield.
