Battlefield 2
Infantry - Client Files
working on this because a good friend of mine (Paus Paul) was complaining to me about the grenadelauncher... (and alike). Anyway... during the conversation I realized... I could try and make it happen. So I modded some vanilla BF2 maps... and started creating my own map: Eagle Island. Pretty soon I was contacted by **[THT]**Spleasure, who was the \'main man\' behind InfantryMod \'42. He gave me adminrights to this site... and ftp-access for testingpurposes(truely appreciated, mate). Within a month I released version 0.9... and some more would follow pretty fast... but neither did convince me nor the public. Anyway... I continued working hard (and sometimes \'till 6am)... but it was worth it. :D When Crosstown (by Paus Paul) was finished... and my own map was nearly done... version 1.1 was released. (which i deleted shortly after... because I had added an old version of Crosstown). So... after a LOT of trial and error... I think this version is really worth the download (only 65MB). So... go get it... and have fun!![/quote]

Infantry - Server Patch
seemed to me that it wouldn't be so hard to remove them from the game entirely, but it had to be done through a mod, because on the ARCOR public Stalingrad server they managed to remove the tanks serverside, but removing the grenades without using a client-side mod was imposible. I finally got time on a lan called Illuzion II afterparty, in februari 2004. The first version removed the grenades and the vehicles from Stalingrad and Berlin, and it's size was completely neglectible, because no custom loadscreen or anything else was present, only some changed config scripts. The contact with the Clanbase laddersupervisor was very hard, so it took a time before my mod was used in an official tournament. Besides the ladder, Clanbase also started organizing an Infantry Cup. For that cup, custom maps were required, and I put them in the installer of my mod, and released the first version. Despite some troubles loading Stalingrad and Berlin, it was used, and the first internetservers appeared. Now the cup has ended, and the ladder started using this mod, which somehow guarantees the continuity of this mod.
