hardest to make it so both sides will be able to build up a big army as fast as the game will let them. I wanted to try to capture the feel storming the beach and trying to get inland. This is the first draft of this map, so I would love some feed back to make the final version perfect. Enjoy Have fun! This is in response to all people that have had issues with Operation Husky: -The bridge is the Germans last line of defence, just like any map with bridges. It is realistic that the bridge can be blown up. It makes up for it in the game that you can repair it, you may just have to send some groups of soldiers in through the north fishing town to distract them, don't just get mad about the bridge. -The map isn't designed for the allies to just stroll inland and start taking stuff over, that is why all the allies gas and ammo are on the beach, as if supplied by the ships. -Again, the tank traps and barbed wire are to keep the allies from storming inland right away, you must build up a force as fast as possible and then make a push together with your teammates, like a real war. -As far as position of the points on the beach, the ships are sending gas and ammo to the beach so that's why they are so spread out, the Germans have a base that's why theirs are in one spot, I also gave them a little less up there. I understand that this map has different game play, you must think of how this historic battle really happened, lots of death for the Americans, and alot of forces at one time are needed to make a dent, not like in other maps for this game where you can send little destructive parties around and take points, I do like the progressive pushes that the game allows you to do but I wanted to make this map as much like the original battle as the game would allow me to do. The things that people don't like about this map are not flaws, they are just different from most COH maps. Please re-think how this battle would really work, and try it again. Some of us can remember how it went in BF-1942 Road to Rome. Have fun storming the castle!
dusk lighting. Two destructible bridge crossings, one indestructible middle crossing and even a river crossing point to help break stubborn stalemates. A river twice as wide, longer distances and bigger base area will offer protection from artillery spam, especially brit. A beautiful world created specifically for you to have fun blowing to bits. This map may hit players with performance issues as it is very large and elaborate - just a heads up. Check it out!
reinforce their primary defense. This is the allies quickest route to reinforce Switzerland. Allied command has deemed it a high priority to capture and hold the pass. The Axis want to exploit this backdoor into Switzerland and encircle the enemy. Both sides start out in a valley on the same half of the map, facing cliffs. Both sides will fight up the same side of a hill towards a very wide, hard to defend, choke point. Whichever side holds this choke point will monopolize most of the resources. But you must also separately defend your base and watch that the enemy does not cut off your resources. This environment is incredibly susceptible to damage. It is very enjoyable to watch the battles take place here. Switzerland (v1.0) is playable in the original CoH as wall as OF. Refer to the readme for more information.
These entry points are heavily fortified with 88's and mg42 bunkers. There are 2 Allied bases on opposite corners of the map. Each Allied base starts with 2 Pershings which will come in handy when the battles intensify so protect them well! The Germans tend to try and swarm one pair of Allied bases to be prepared to assist when needed and don't hesitate to blow the bridges. It may save your base. Also note that all players only have one engineer or pioneer at the start due to the number Pershings and 88's at the start. This can be overcome quickly by grabbing the nearest resources as fast as possible. As always, I have tried to balance gameplay so that no one side has any greater advantage than the other. For the Allies, the key to winning on this map is to find a way to break through the German defenses and get a foothold on the plateau. For the Germans, you must take out one of the pairs of Allied bases. When either of these happens, it's all over but the cryin! There are lots of resources on this map which really makes for intense battles so enjoy the action and have fun!!!

To add some fun to your CoH universe, the developer has added a 24 minute day / night cycle with changing weather...and this weather has everything a soldier fighting during the winter months would come to expect to have to deal with. Some of the conditions that this map will have to deal with include: [*]Sunshine [*]Snow [*]Hail [*]Sleet [*]And more... The Big Freeze comes with more excitement then the weather, there are lots of bridges, along with some dams; You will also come across a number of weapons lying around that you will want to make use of...these will include 88mm, MG & Mortars and more. With the weather being what it is in this 4 vs 4 map, if you run out of ammo, or have trouble finding any weapons, then don't fret, you can always take advantage of the available snow, and begin a snowball fight to decide the fate of the free world ;) Refer to the readme for the developer's notes.

In Dust and Stones, the teams start on opposing sides of an abandoned train station and have to choose to go straight through it or flank the enemy across some hills. Each side has a good defense and [u]you[/u], player 1 for the Allies, decide the fate of the hill...and whether or not the map is Infantry only. The hill is made up of 3 levels of hill separating you from your enemies, each more secure then the other. The map is set up to stop a Major rush, the Allied bases have a tanktrap wall holding back heavy weapons so you can have a infantry only map and then when the going gets tough, you can ignite the charges As this is Clone_Commando's first ever map made from scratch, the detail is somewhat lacking...but, first you get good, then you get better, right? This would appear to be the position that U.F.F.E was in with this map...until a friend requested a map of their own community, so he could do battles in a familiar setting. So, what we have here is a map based on an area in Vollsmose which is located in Odense, Denmark. Moving armour through the trees wont be easy and having infantry out in the open is a sluaghter waiting to happen, let your opponent control this map and your going to need some serious help pushing them back. Flanking and rush tactics will surely come in handy here. [u][b]Staff Impression[/b][/u] This map certainly is large, i think the best defence here would be a good offence. with such a large area to defend your forces will be streched to their limits. The idea for the map is certainly solid, a mix of open and tight enviroments makes fighting varied, although more detail could be paid into the overall look of the map the gameplay may well make up for it. terrain design. The author wanted to make it harder rather thn just making simple choke points. Playing with others or AI is just as challenging. There is also plenty of resources all around. One thing though; once you start playing, you will dumbstruck as to the detail put into map; it is an absolute spectacle just scrolling around watching the landscape. The lighting, object and decal placements all work in unison to make the map look how it is; you don't see this everyday! Check it out!

Players of two are split off and played on the corner of the maps, and each group of players on the same teach are located at the opposite side of the map; something unique. The map has open fields, so tank battles can rampage throughout the battlefield. Check it out!
fun late games as giant tank battles take place, and when the British can bring in their M8 Priests into action to pound enemy bases and forces. One thing about this map is that, infantry can only have a good use in the start of the game, but later on you will need transports to help to move around the map much faster due to the size of the map (they can be great at holding choke points though!). Design wise, the map is solid, but visually the map can use more detail such as decals. Check it out!
map can really put the hurt on your enemy, unless he uses artillery to pound the city to oblivion as there wouldn't be any more buildings to garrison in. Be prepared for some long intense battles, as some intense street to street fighting may occur throughout the city. Also, if playing as an Axis player in position 8, you have both factions buildings and some ready weapons; if playing as Allies, you will have manpower bonus to level the field a bit. Check it out!

This map features a long stretch of land that resembles a forest; however, it is a not an authentic forest that is based on the Ardenne as it does not have snow decals. If you wish, you may use the Battle of Buldge mod to create snow decals for you. The map can create some very memorable moments as both sides can frantically push each other back due to the straightforwardness of the map, thus creating some epic battles. This map is solidly built, however, some more attention to detail could have been made. Check it out!

This map has 4 main choke points where only tanks can cross into, and the middle island is only accessible to infantry. This map can turn into a artillery-fest since players can just build defenses at bridges so the enemy can't cross, thus making artillery a viable option at weakening the enemy. The map is detailed with trees and decals being used from place to place, and adding heavy rain weather adds to the realism. If this is the map for you, then it's a recommend.

Story Allies are winning the war, but this hidden and unscathed German base still blocks their path to victory. The death camp masks a heavily fortified secret base. Expect strong resistance and booby traps, the Germans know a battle will ensue. Description The American and German bases are separated by an undamaged town. The center of the map is divided by a railroad that also serves as a territory disconnect point. Both armies must cross open areas and then bridges on their sides of the map before reaching the urban area. Each side has at least two large bridges and a footbridge to the mainland. The playable area is rectangular in shape and as such, longer than it is wide. The Americans start in a wooded area to the North near an industrial district and the Germans begin in the South in a heavily fortified base for which this map is named. German bridges are wired with explosives and one of their flanks is mined -- but there are markers to identify the area. The year is 1945 and the Americans are tasked with pushing through the town and eliminating the German resistance there before assaulting the base and destroying all German occupation. This map has been heavily play-tested for both balance and game issues. Enjoy.

In Axis Retreat, the saviors of the [i]Fatherland[/i] have made a little supprt base on an island to assist the forward positions; When the Allies learn of this mini base, they decide that they cannot allow the German boats to get back with the supplies, as this would spell disaster for the Western troops. And so, the attack on this little island begins...The timeline here would put the Axis Retreat approximately 46 days before the Invasion of Normandy. Refer to the readme for more information.

The only glimmer of hope here is that this hill contains a lot of trees which will afford some cover, at least in the short term. This is an 8 player map created by Mardegun and is designed for all Multiplayer styles of play. This includes VP and Annihilation game types and more metagame elements as well. For an example, one side favors axis while the other favors allies. Also while the map has a strong defensive design, aggressive play is very effective as well.

tight mountain hills of Germany, and they must make their way through the urban's and over the Rhine river and engage the Allies in the rolling hills and rural towns of Belgium. Switch sides and the Allies experience a totally different view of the battle. Going from Country side, to Urban, and then to Mountains was is the overall goal.
through the center of the map, the potential for some serious frag-fests is extremely high! This map features a destructible bridge as well as the road to the island hidaway, however, the dam is not destructible; You will need to keep your wits about you if you want to walk away with bragging rights when the smoke settles. crazychris302 has done a great job developing this large map and it rates high on my [i]fun-0-meter[/i]! The AI attacks the barbed wire,with small arms fire a lot in an attempt to clear it.But they can destroy the wire with bullets or fire,so don't freak if they start shooting at it. 2.) I noticed that when you start,you have a rather limited build space, I'm actually not sure how to fix this...you can only fit 1-3 buildings.

Cheyenne warriors. Now this map is purely fictional and not based on the actual battlefield of Little Bighorn but it is similar that there WILL be a massacure. This small map is the stage for an epic battle beyond all others. With 4 allied armies, 4 axis armies and very little land to control you are sure to be in for tons of blood and guts. There are 3 main river crossings with 4 bridges to blow at will. The author, Flak Ninja, designed this map to make a few gamers happy based on all the map requests he has seen. any please feel free to post them. There are extra weapons for allies in each base to help balance their first wave, if you have AI teammates they will some in your base and steel them, so you might want to get them early. Enjoy!
