updated version of his previously released BotB modification, and takes you to the desperate fighting in the dense forests of Belgium and Luxemburg in December44 / January45. It's aim is to present you a mixture more of historical approach, but still retain the exciting and entertaining gameplay that you are used to from CoH. The Battle of the Bulge Mod is, in its core, is based on CoH Gameplay; You have to build base structures, capture fuel, munitions and manpower points and research for upgrades. You gain command points and can use them for further options, depending on the doctrine you choose. [b]You have the following Doctrines available to you:[/b] Allies: Infantry Division: Relies on special Infantry units, and buildable and movable artillery. You can call in support by other units, like Armored Cavalry Groups and Armor Divisions. Airborne Division: No more parachuting!! The Airborn units must be produced and reinforced like any other infantry squad, but they are still tough fighters. This is due to the fact, that in the "real" Battle of Bulge the Airborn Divisions ( 82nd,101st) were rushed to the battlefield by truck and the weather in the beginning was too bad to paradrop. Bombing and Strafing runs will be available in later game, like Armor reinforcements. Armor Division: You now have plenty of tank options and can also call in strong offmap battlegroups. Axis: 7th Army: This army was composed out of 5th Fallschirmjagerdivision and several infantry divisions. Good defensive options and some offmap Tank reinforcements, but no battetanks ( Pz IV, Panther) available to build, but Jagdpanzers like Hetzer or Jagdpanzer IV. 5th Panzerarmy: One of the two striking armies.Consisted mostly of Wehrmacht tank divisions. Good tanks, Panzergrenadiere and light Artillery support, but has also some defensive options like pak 38. 6th SS Panzerarmy: This was planned to be the main strikeforce. In this tree, you can build the famous Kingtiger tank, Waffen SS Infantry and much more. You can also call in "Operation Griffon" sabotage teams in American uniforms, which can operate behind enemy lines and later on may rout enemies by giving false commands. For those of you that have a shaky sense of this event, the historical, and well known [i]'Battle of the Bulge'[/i] covers the time and area of one of the most famous battles of WW2, the so-called [i]Ardennes Offensive[/i] or [i]Wacht am Rhein[/i] or [i]Operation Herbstnebel[/i]. In late 1944 the German Wehrmacht appeared to be beaten, and a lot of Allied / US Troopers thought they would be home by Christmas. Instead, it would become the hardest and bloodiest Christmas they had to celebrate. Since the failure of [b]Operation Market Garden[/b], the frontlines in Western Europe were quite at a stand still. Allied supply routes were overstretched and the Rhine River and the german Westwall proofed to be hard obstacles. Since then, Germany planned a counterattack on the Western Front and gathered three Armies to strike through the Ardennes Forest , to cross the Meuse River, move through Belgium, capture the important port of Antwerp and divide US and the British. the same range and none of them having anywhere near enough firepower, and he states that he wasn’t a big fan of the people walking through hails of MG fire without getting hurt either. So he decided to do a little research and make the weapons far more accurate as far as reality is concerned, and here we have the result of that research, added with some talent....the Authentic Weapons Mod! All of the tanks have had a complete overhaul including weapon damage, range, rate of fire, penetration power, and accuracy as well as speed, armor, health, and the effect of hitting side and rear armor so flanking wont just make a fight shorter it will change the outcome 90% of the time. Also small arms will actually be effective at the 200+ yards that most engagements started at in open environments as well as being devastatingly potent in point blank urban battles so no more running across the street in front of a machine gun with no consequences. [b]Some of the changes this mod will make include:[/b] All tanks have far greater range ranging anywhere from 1.5x the original to the king tigers 4.5x Almost all weapons do far more damage and penetrate far more realistically (i.e. no more point blank Panther shots bouncing off a Sherman’s side armor. Some units have had their hp and armor changed most notable are the Sherman and Tiger the prior of which is now far less resistant to tank fire except in the front and latter is more resistant except in the rear where armor was weak. Accuracy has been tweaked quite a lot so don’t expect Tigers to miss shots very often (only elite crews were allowed into Tiger Grouppen and the guns were very accurate) All allied armor is cheaper because it simply was cheaper to build allied armor than it was to make panzers they also take less population which allows for use of classic 3-4:1 tactics against heavy panzer formations. The tank depot is also cheaper because its cost was preventing the allies from fielding anything to match the Stug IV which while not equal with the panzers is far tougher than an M8. And more! Also now a .50 cal is a .50 cal rather than the games original system in which there were six different versions of the same gun which was true for most weapons in the game and they all had different stats so adding a gun to a tank is no longer quite as neccesary since the coaxial and hull guns can actually hit things more than three feet away. No change was made to the gameplay of CoH, however, now, when the smoke clears, and trhe dust settles, ou will be able to see the carnage of the battles that were fought! Not all bodies will remain, some will still fade into cyber-space...it works out that about 1 in ten bodies will actually remain on the field, but this does not diminish the fun that will be had! Current changes for 1.0 -Gameplay Changes- All armor on both sides have received new speed factors, they now reflect realistic turning speeds and road speeds (as well as battle speeds) Destroyed engine tanks no longer can move, they have to be repaired in the field. The only problem were having here is that we cant get them so they arent allowed to rotate. Infantry weapons now have increased ranges. Production times decreased for bazooka\'s. Axis officer no longer has artillery ability. Small arms fire no longer damages halftracks, you now need something with more punch, like say a bazooka? Decreased AT weapon accuracy vs INF. Increased damage and accuracy on the co-axial machine guns on all tanks. Tiger range slightly increased. Pioneers have increased accuracy at close ranges. AT weapon damage increased against all tanks, allied and axis. Added SMG\'s to volks grens, added LMG back to gren\'s. Axis 88 does more dmg to all tanks. And no longer is allowed to attack air (it was pretty useless, and unrealistic.. the 88 could attack air, but it couldnt attack ground at the same time, as both required different types of ammo). This also increases the usefullness of the ostwind as air defense unit, instead of a infantry killer (dont worry, it still does that to). All infantry now has an increase in resistence to suppression, and an increase in suppression recovery. Airborne no longer has the fireup ability, to compensate, they have a greater ability to resist suppression and recover from it faster. All armor on both sides have now received weapon tweaks, what we went for is to make the damage that tanks do to one another more realistic, w/o going full realism. Artillery on both sides now goes through the use of radio men. This puts more strategy in the game for when you use artillery, we also added different types of artillery barrages, so now its not just a regular barrage, you now have small, medium, and large barrages. Infantry on both sides have now recieved realistic fire rates. The garands shoot how they should, as well as the carbine\'s. -Additions- New skins!!!! thats right, I said new skins!!!! All axis tanks have received a thorough reskin by our excellent skinner blacklabel! All axis tanks now realistically reflect their ww2 normandy counterparts and might I add, they look SEXAY! Axis infantry have been reskinned by our excellent infantry skinner, favre. He has done an excellent job getting them to reflect their real world counterparts. They also look very SEXAY! All axis tanks now get a schurzen upgrade (except for the tiger and the puma), schurzen are sideskirts, for those of you who dont know a little german. AP Mines have been added to the axis side. Smoke grenades added to both sides. as an upgrade. Radio men for artillery use. We would have alot more unit additions, but, the dang model importer hasnt released yet...

Grenades And Stuff: All Small Explosives Range have been changed. * The Axis\'s steilhandgrenade is able to throw farther than the allies Pineapple Grenade. * Sticky bomb has been buffed a little bit. * V1 Rocket... is now WAY more deadly... can destroy anything in a 50-yard range. In official 1.3, allied barbed was bugged and would block axis Halftracks and armored cars just like tank traps. It now operates exactly as it should (pre 1.3 patch). These are the *ONLY* things this mini-mod does. There are no gameplay elements changed at all. ADDITIONAL BUG-FIXES FOR VERSION 2: 11/28/2006 - Axis 88mm Flak guns will now properly gain veterancy when the Support Weapons upgrade is researched at the Kampfkraft Center, just as they did before the 1.3 CoH patch. None of the specific values have been altered in any way; I just fixed the bug that prevented 88's from being recognized as part of the support 'group'. (The actual stat- bonuses from veterancy are identical to the 50mm Pak38's.) with Panther and Tiger(Tiger had an increase on health, 2 AT guns made it look like a sissy girl). Sherman 75mm has a little shorter range than the german AT gun but the 76mm upgrade makes it a little more, also has been cheapend along with lower HP. Greyhound has same stats as Puma, little weaker HP. M10, slightly longer range than the 76mm Sherman, nothing changed HP wise. M26 Pershing has a slight edge on range over the Tiger and also is a little cheaper. Units added to barracks/Wermacht Q, Rangers Airborne Spec Ops(Allied new unit, equivilant to ST\'s)/Storm Troopers, also the strum armory has the Opel Blitz(Picture is still purple I think) its free and a fast way to get around. Volksgrenadiers squadsize is now 8, grenadiers is now 6... Pioneers/Engineers are now 4 units. Axis has a new building, Anti Tank Bunker a 50mm AT gun in a can... AND!! some tanks have infantry support, 4 infantry units, as really in WW2 tanks were never alone... Also this may cause some tanks to cost more... (Panther mainly) Mg42 crew is now 2 members, (gunner/feeder) Sniper squads now have 2 members, one of them never goes into camo, will be fixed by 1.1a if not sooner.... the description for my new unit (Spec Ops) says "$100001 no key", otherwise it works fine. purchase tier 2 or tier 3 abilities unless a corresponding upgrade is purchased at the HQ. This is for both Allies and Axis. You'll be able to click the next ability and click okay but the game won't spend ur poitns and you wont be able to use the ability unless the upgrade is purchased. Yes the AI is capable of doing all of this stuff on its own. Other changes are population limit was increased somewhat, you will notice a difference. This was in hopes to gear people towards using more infantry not tanks but it is what it is. Howitzer and Walking Stuka abilities "nerfed" Again as players we find these things annoying so their cool down times were increased and their damages decreased. Snipers buildable in forward barracks, along with AT Squads. AT Guns accuracy vs. infantry, especially snipers, drastically decreased. I was sick and tired of AT Gun "spamming" where it was all I fought and it was sick how accurate they were so this was noticeably reduced. Axis pioneer roll 3 deep instead of 2... I thought this was stupid. Their price reflects their new "value" of having 3 people. Ranges for Mortar teams and snipers have been increased. Mortars are severely underused so they have been beefed up. It's important to note the two major bugs, firstly is that the Raid Ability is broken. I don't have the time to fiddle to get it working but if you would like to fix it and repost the mod on this thread you can take credit for it. Also the other bug, at least I think its a bug, is when two players use the Terror tree the second player cannot paradrop troops. Anyone can verify this for me... if you could fix it too that would be fantastic and as always you can have credit. It can be upgraded with Armor Skirts instead of Crab Mine Flail. Axis Paratroopers They can be called from the Kampfkraft Centre. They require an upgraded named 'Call the Luftwaffe' and need some time to be para-dropped. Only three squads available and they need a barracks or a halftrack to be reinforced. basically makes production of units specialized, once you choose a side, you choose what tree you want to use, each one allowing certain units to be buildable. Each doctrine plays differently, and you have to develop different tactics for each one. some trees focus on less squads but micromanagement, while others focus on mass rushes, while still others focus on flanking or heavy weapons support. There are a ton of different combination's of trees on any given battle, making for a lot of re-playability and no repetition! It can also produce weapons like thomson, BAR, M9 Bazooka for the allies and and mp44, mg42, panzerfaust, panzerschreck for the axis side. The Hilter-Jugend squad: They can be produced with the 'Zeal' upgrade from the propaganda tactics. They are less stronger than regular troops, can't be reinforce, and have random weapons. the only proposal of this team, is to stay alive, and organize the forces you call. You start with 2 basic forces to call, Combat Engineers (3 big squads, plus 3 supporting halftracks) and a Reccoinnasance platoon (4 non-reinforced Greyhounds plus some jeeps). With these basic forces, you start by taking some strategic points faster than the enemy, and the first encounter will unleash, as soon as the strategic points are common to both enemies. As long as you combat your enemies, capture points, make survive your forces, you'll gain experience, and then Command points. When you have Command points, the game starts. You'll select a Battalion, between Infantry, Armored and Support (or Artillery Battalion). When you select one of these, you'll see a complete Unique tree of platoons for that Battalion, and you can enable those platoons with more Exp. They will stop light vehicles (HTs, m3ACs, etc) exactly as they did in previous versions of the game. - Allied barbed wire was fixed. In official 1.3, allied barbed was bugged and would block axis Halftracks and armored cars just like tank traps. It now operates exactly as it should (pre 1.3 patch). These are the *ONLY* two things this mini-mod does. There are no gameplay elements changed at all. I was driven to do this myself because these bugs are so glaringly bad they ruin gameplay for me and made the game feel broken. Why Relic didn't release a hotfix for this is beyond me, all it took to remedy was a few simple changes in the buildable structure stats using Corsix's mod tools. ***THIS MOD WILL NOT WORK ONLILNE*** It will work over lan with two clients both using it, and has been tested as such. But the higher they fly, the harder they fall -> At weapons are upgraded too This is basicly everything, could be I have forgot something. The sp campaign is now way more intens, like the Cherbourg mission: I assaulted the coastel gun with like 9 inf squads and 4 wolverine's and in the end, I held 4 squads and one wolverine. Then I moved my assault with this force over the bridge and lost all. The stugs destroyed my armor and inf squads killed my men Installation: Put these files in your coh folder and start the game with the folowing command line: -dev -modname Surpemacy So it will look like this: "C:Program FilesTHQCompany of HeroesRelicCOH.exe" -dev -modname Supremacy Although still a bit unbalanced, tanks can blow eveything to valhalla, but get killed with 1-2 hits of a panzershrek. Example: "C:Program FilesTHQCompany of HeroesRelicCOH.exe" -modname Spectres_mod -dev New Changes: - AT guns have now been returned to original state. - Axis squads now get several new weapons to choose from. - The legendary Tiger tank will be making a grand appearance. - Axis soldiers can use med packs without any research. - Elite Pioneers are the equivalent to heavy engineers. - MP44 upgrade now available to volksgrenadiers and Grenadiers. - Axis battle phase upgrades cheaper. - Volksgrenadiers now can build outposts. Failed Ideas: - I tried to get the panzerfaust as a weapon that could be added to a squad. It work almost perfect in that they did use the panzerfaust once, but after that they dropped them and continued to fire rockets from their faces. I hope I can find a way to do this by the next release.
