the strategy for each gametype is different. ie: the deathmatch map is lit so both sides can see clearly, the Hostage map is set at night so the counter-terrorists can sneak out of the water to rescue the hostages, and the Bomb gametype is set at dawn where the muzzle flash shows up more than usual. Night vision is a must for the night maps [you can see somewhat but not in detail without it]. It has bot support and I incuded the .nav files, but you may want to only have a 4 v.s. 4 game with bots because they can see you no matter where you are and it makes it rather difficult [even if you are in the shadows or underwater they can see you]. I don't know if there is a way to fix that or not. These are the first maps I have ever released so feel free to post feedback, and have funn playing! Note: these maps may have a couple of bugs that I missed, sorry in advance. --max of 16 players--

The Counter Terrorists will start outside in the church yard and will have to walk through the churchyard and the village to get to the apartment building holding the hostages, while the Terrorists will start within the small apartment complex and must protect the hostages at all costs... This map is main based on a mountainside village, and is set in the winter time, so the whole outside of the map is covered in snow. This map includes several buildings, a fireplace, a graveyard, many rooms, a footbridge and even a Christmas tree which adds to the Christmas feeling of the map. This map is highly recommended to those that want to see some more Christmas maps for Counter Strike Source even though it is almost a year old. This map also includes a nav file so you can also use it to play against the bots. There is also a secret room on this map that can be accessed by pressing two buttons somewhere in the map, however this won't be mentioned here so you can have some fun finding it for yourself. This map was added to HL2 Files with Permission of the Author.

de_survivor by 3D Mike. Thorough beta testing shows that framerates are well within the acceptable range for serious play, but you can expect this map to be as taxing as de_nuke or de_inferno. This map was created for and is in rotation at the [DoP] High Times servers. Note that while this map does come with a .NAV file, it is not optimized. Bots are over-rated.

When i first started out i was figure this would be simple, quick and easy. Well days turned into months then months turned into pixel then i got lost. Long story short i spent over 100 hours on this! in the mean time of developing it. I moved and got a new job. so i hope you enjoy my hard work! is a dark field with a central tower. Unlike most AWP/Scout DM Maps, this map is smaller. I decided to go with a smaller size because the map is considerably darker than the average snipe map. What is left is a fast paced awp map where the cover of darkness is your only salvation. The tower in the middle is well lit, but there is a buyzone there (the only buyzone in the map). This creates a trade-off between buying extra equipment and being a blaring target. The map is mainly for AWPs, but I also included 9 scouts for each team. All weapons have 10 ammo and no reloads, so you are forced to make your shots count.

likes to think of it as a ninja map, mainly because it is really dark and has lights only on the sides of the buildings and some on the top ladder-tube. There are two rooms, one is a basic blocked one so the teams don't meet right away. The top room is just an empty room with just two lights in the middle. There is a tube at the very top of the map, when it heads down it turns into a ladder that you can climb up or down. But beware for the enemy can shoot you while you are in it.

AIM Yavin Arena
discover the possibilities of Valve\'s powerful Source Engine, so I started the quickest possible project, porting an old map from me. The result was an aztec-themed aim map. The Map itself has no changes since the 2008 Version, I added only CS:S-Textures, new light and the platform with the awp. The brushes are unedited, so I have to say sorry. It is planned to port this map one day for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where I will try to edit every single detail. An Day of Defeat: Source Version is currently under development with a lot of extras. I hope you will have fun with my first Counter-Strike Map. This ap is an extended version of my \"KA Yavin Arena\" map. You don\'t like aim-maps? There is also a ka_yavin_arena! ka_* means Knife Arena.

Counter terrorists must search the building to find the 5 hostages located in and around the mansion and return them to safety. The map consists of 2 floors and a basement. The map was created by me with help and ideas from Mikeypilk. It uses various custom textures take from the \"Textures for the Real world\" pack by TopHATTwaffle (http://www.gamebanana.com/members/144386) and some textures created by myself and Mikeypilk The map includes: -18 Spawn points per team - Buyzones for both teams - 5 Hostages - Custom materials - Custom radar (Works but is limited*) - Working nav file - 3d skybox *As the map features 2 floors, the radar cannot display both floors and therefore will only display the top floor. STRATEGY: Both of teams should have good teamwork and help teammates by using as many routes as possible so you can suprise your enemy and stab them to the back. BUT Of course there is so many ways to play this map (like solo rush, or try to collect better weapons like AWP and clear the jail area by sniping your enemies) DIFFICULT: Some of the players may find surfing bit dificult, because there is more fast left and right turns while in the air than most of common maps, so you may need fast reflexes in the harder routes. (You need to go fast) GAMEPLAY: Unlike other common maps, surf_empyrean_beta has few elements of fy/cs/gg maps.. by having buildings, objects and areas similar to non-surf maps. Regular gamers cant just run middle of map and not getting killed easily, unlike the ones using walls and objects to make their "fragging" easier. I recommend this map to all the friends of Counter-Strike surfing and shooting. IF you have suggestions how to make this map better! (OF COURSE YOU HAVE!) Then please send me an email and tell me how should i improve this map! And if there is good tips or new ideas i wish to use - i will give you credits from it. The object of the game is either for the Terrorists to kill all of the CTs or for the CTs to kill the Ts. This was also the first map I have made. It can be used on your server for any type of game you like; gungame, deathmatch, zombie or just standard.

won't die at the bottom, rather you teleport to jail. At each spawn point there is a surf sign on the walls. Shoot down the floor and the last glass block is where you can exit the enclosed breakfloor and surf down to the jail to open the jail door if a teammate is stuck in there. Even if you don't need to free a teammate there are blocks on the way with shotguns and smoke grenades on either side. On top of jail which is sort of hard to get to is where the snipers and semi-auto snipers are. In that same spot there are 3 teleport doors to get to either CT base T base or TOP. But since the floors might be broken when you teleport to the CT or T base you spawn on top of the light so you don't die.(water wouldn't work there) Also at the jail you can shoot and see through it from the outside but people inside it cannot. When you teleport back to the top middle wall I made it a bit wider only on the top part and put some weapons along with HEgrenades. There is also two ladders on both sides of the top middle divider because if you jump from there your health gets lowered, and like the author said before water cannot work there. He also put a ladder at the top of the jail where the snipers are going down so that you don't die when you fall. Pwn3r1001 knows it looks pretty pointless because people can just jump into the water at either side outside of the jail but it is an alternative. Another thing Pwn3r1001 added is another ramp by the jail that makes people surf into a wall that trigger teleports all the way to the top of the map. Yes I added a cieling at the top, made of unbreakable glass that you can also shoot through from both sides. I placed a few weapons up there along with a couple flashgrenades. And to get down from there you just start walking towards the opening and it will boost you foward to get back to the ramps.

fail after five minutes of play; this is to allow multiple attempts at the early obstacles and to give opportunity for more participants in the death race. There is a theme to the map: You are part of a terrorist organization that is paid to infiltrate a nuclear energy facility posing as a construction warehouse. There was a fatal catastrophe at the plant and a scientist on the payroll has documents to pass on before his life expires. Get to the scientist, retrieve the documents and get out of there! Course Obstacles: 1. To open the main gate, get in to the security office and use the keyboard on the console. The security office door is sealed tight, so you have to figure out another way in. 2. Make your way around the radiation and debris to the elevator hallway. The toxic floor is insta-death throughout the map. 3. Level one lasers, these will add up to some major damage so don’t get sloppy. 4. Descend the elevator shaft using the notches on the side. 5. Level two lasers, these are insta-death. 6. Leap over the toxic floor and enter the ventilation. 7. Use the console to open the door into the lab. Proceed through the machinery to the following room. 8. Use the remains of the bridge to get to the door across the room; only after the button fails to open the door is an alternative route given. 9. Use strafe jumps and precise timing to cross these platforms to the other side. Enter the room to complete the course. 1. DEATH RACE – The player who completes the objective will have the option to: A. Enter through the door and be teleported to the Winnervator B. Remain in the map with the other players and be teleported to the holding room. The player has 15 seconds to choose, after 15 seconds everyone still alive on the map will teleport to the holding room. Shortly after, the gate will open and players have roughly 15 seconds to climb before the rising water activates. The Winnervator will rise with the water, not harming whoever is inside, and the view is quite nice (Note: There is a button to send the Winnervator up inside as well. This is crucial for if there are no players eligible for the race (dead). At the top of the race course there is a disco room with two laser platforms. There are two ways in to this room, one through Winnervator access and the other at the top of the course, should you escape the water. Each platform in the room awards game points, and an ability thus ending the round. The Blue platform grants low gravity and the Turquoise platform grants high speed. There is a secret room in the map; it is only accessible using one of the platforms, and entering the secret area the following rounds. Players who have not been killed by the reward platforms will not be able to teleport to the room. There are a few easter eggs In the map. Have fun! Thanks for playing

ship's crew overboard. They got the ship moving out to sea before an armed response arrived at the terminal. As there are few or no hostages on board, negotiations will be skipped in favor of force. A special force will be airdropped onto the ship to secure it and neutralize the terrorists. The terrorists may try to sink the ship. To scuttle(sink) the ship, go to bottom deck near mid section of ship, find big valve and press it. Water will start to rise and global alarm will sound. All players will eventually drown. To start engine room fire, shoot fuel pipes with powerful gun. After 15 seconds, fire starts & alarm sounds. To extinguish, go to control room, Use door lock button, then press CO2 flush button. to play megaphone safety announcement, go to the bridge (where the captain would be) and press flashing button. Don't use often - very annoying! to use huge car-deck lift, go to back of deck 3, find buttons on middle wall...caution, it can crush you. to access the strongroom near bridge, type in the author's birth year in the keypad. Those bunkers have ramps that lead to the catwalk. The catwalk circles the entire level and has two walks that lead to the rooftops in the middle of the map. Each team also has 1 ladder on their side that leads to the rooftop. This version of the map has buy zones. There are 5 ways to get inside the building, however 2 are by vents and the other 3 would be 2 front doors and 1 back door. including a window in the back if broken you can enter the house through that area as well. 2 Bomb sites, 1 being the biggest room in the house holding Computer Lab Equipment and the other located near the stairs (Small Room) Holding Power Utilities. The roof is very well set-up for cover and watching the ballgame in otherwords it will help you get an idea of where the T may be coming from. (I had to remove some doors so that bots could enter/leave the building) (Vents are a little tricky to enter, i did this on purpose, Also they have no light so bring a flashlight!) This map is Bot-Supported, I created a NAV for this map it is uncluded with the BSP so you may play with bots.

Definitely worth a look; so check out the screens and if it sounds good, grab it! (The bots can't even get past the first room, so don't try it with them.)

in which you'll rocket across four platforms and try to kill any of the opposing team that ends up there with a shotgun. If a player frees you from jail, you'll supposedly be teleported to a "volleyball room", in which you try to hit a volleyball back and forth. If you score two points for your team, you'll be sent back to the starting point of the map. Now, being a spectacular failure at these kinds of maps, haven't been able to really see anything without the use of Noclip and bots (which are amazingly oblivious to everything the map is designed for, in true bot fasion) but it looks like yet another good surfing map with a few nice twists.

Meh maybe its wet concrete but its just a little thing the author could fix next time round. Another little thing is when you drop you look like your dropping into the sky... you then fall into a well of spikes... which appears from nothing. This "well" comes where-ever you fall. But it should be able to fix. Tips: Fix the "Wet Concrete" and "Well" and this will be an even BETTER map. 7/10 (possible 10 with the fixes ;) ) ~Morto

Velvet East offers many doors, hallways, outdoor passages, and 2 bomb sites. This release contains ingame overview, custom Textures, custom Sounds, and the bot File (.nav). It is a very enjoyable map, even with bots :) Lighting is very well done and the map layout carries a nice sense of tactical gameplay.

for CS 1.3. Hubble explains "I'm not going to try porting it, I've started building it from scratch, so it's going to take a while!" From my personal playing this is a terrific remake that gives the sense of classic Counter-Strike v1.x mapping and gameplay. This map also includes a terrific AI NAV files for blasting offline action. I highly reccomend this (beta 2) and highly look forward to the final version which is planned to add atmospheric sounds, more debris and decals, and Fix any issues reported in beta 2 (to report an error use the 3rd Party Links to email bug trackings). Hopefully HDR shall be implemented :D

starting zone to snipers kill other snipers in the other side. The tower is quite big, and will serve to test the capability of the team to conquer it and hold it. The tower offers a great visibility to the way the other team comes, but it has the disadvantage that it\'s prefurable, so people down in the floor can kill others in the tower without they even see who attacked. Personaly, I thing that the map came out better than I expected, and I hope everyone enjoy it!

That won't take long but I just dont have the time or energy quite yet. I would project that that will be done at latest by February 1st ('09). It will be released as surf_bluetowersDM_v2f. Thanks for your patience. You spawn with the choice of shotgun or scout as your weapon- although others are available throughout the map. Press a button and get your gun. This helps prevent the mass-exodus of people from spawn. There is one blue-smoke m3 shotgun at ct side and red-smoke m3 shotgun at t side- to serve as sort of representatives for the teams. A glass barrier stands between the two sides of the first ramp that breaks after 30 seconds, as well as a glass barrier at the bottom of spawn that breaks after that time, too, to prevent spawnkilling. The map has a circular flow around a main tower and arrows direct you in the right direction. If you fall, you're sent into a glass jail (cts on one side ts on another) that can be opened from two separate spots on the map. There are two remote-controlled flying saucers that drop bombs that can be used as weapons by both sides, or you could just run in and knife. The saucers take practice to use them effectively ;-). Gain speed on this map by going around the circle multiple times. There is one AWP at the top, and water pits towards the bottom where everyone can start over with speed (bunnyhops are lots of fun here). Think of this map as a kind of banocanyon type map in basic structure, but its overall feeling can be a lot different. It's a lot of fun to gain speed, and the ramps allow for some creative surfing and some close combat. After 3 minutes 30 seconds everyone is sent to jail to knife; after another 30 seconds if they aren't dead they are sent to death. Notes This is my first released map, but don't underestimate it! I put a lot of time into this, and by the time I was originally done with it, I ended up spending ungodly amounts of time redoing nearly the entire thing so everything was as close to perfect as I could make it. I would love to see this on some servers. FPS was an issue, so I ended up deleting some things I thought helped the looks, like my 3d skybox. But I think it's best if everyone can run it smoother. Now spawn with knives, pistols are found in water before entering scout area. Things fixed: - Fixed invisible ramp to get machine gun from the shotgun area. - Fixed water ramps that used to stop people and stopped from people getting into the water ramps. Also fixed hurt glitch from getting to the secret jail area when doors close from the button code behind jail. Made water ramps easier to surf. Notes: When in 1337 area, when you go on the first air lift just stand there and you will go up, if you jump while standing on the airlift you will most likely die. Also fixed the door from killing you at the ak47 and m4a1 place. Remember: This is still in beta mode. Hopefully I\'ll get the stupid lighting to work with the map and not make the map size 10 x more then it is now. Don\'t need people commenting on how lighting sucks. of this map that you can with the use of grenades where you can destroy walls or supporting structure which can bring down some of the buildings in the map. This can be fun to either do this against bots or online against people. Although unfortunately it does take more than one grenade to take down some of the buildings and not all of the buildings will collapse only some of them will. While it is a good map and a good idea to include simple physics in the game such as collapsable walls and buildings, there is a downside the more players there are the more crowded it would be, although in turn you would be able to crush more people, a nav file is included so that you can use this map against bots. Another problem might be the amount of "lag" caused by all of the debris that has fallen as those with slower connections (or computers) might have some problems.

crates almost all over the map which can be perfect for hiding behind although won't be much good (bullets go through them). The map itself is fairly small, as you can only go on the island and not into the ocean, although the sky map is fairly detailed and includes HDR (probably more noticable in the sunset part). There is a nav file included meaning that you can play against bots, however the bad points would be if there are too many people playing the map at anyone point it may get a bit crowded as the map is smaller than most maps and would be difficult to take cover (well in front of other people). This map was originally designed for Gun Game, but does include buyzones for those that just want a simple deathmatch where you can use any weapon. Highly recommended for those that would like to fight on a small island. The only downside is the lack of palm trees and you can't walk into the water at all which may have added some additional cover in the game.

As this is a beta version there may be bugs present in the game. There is a nav file included so you can also play against the bots if you want target practice, although it should be noted that the nav file is based upon an older version of the map so the bots might not be completely perfect. However this map is highly recommended for those that want to see more war torn buildings similar to that of Day of Defeat or similar games in Counter Strike Source.

map relies on fullbright, so there's no fancy lighting. Second, the water around the map slopes up instead of down (realistically, the water would be falling down onto the map). Also, the map has little graphical optimization. Looking straight at the mansion causes some lag. And finally, the game constantly crashes on this map when trying to build a .nav file for the bots, so don't expect to be using them. I should also point out that while it's named "cs_badboys", it's not actually a Hostage Rescue map; it's a plain deathmatch map. Still, next to those flaws, it's a decently constructed map that could prove fun. (If it's worth anything, it has some explosive barrels.) So, have a look at the screens and if you're interested, give it a download.

in the CT's basement; There are a few ways to get there: from the water, ladders, or ramps. The map is a duplicate on each side, this will help you find your way around. In the front upper forts and in the center, Tattoo has placed two AWP's. This is a fun sniping map! To make sure the bots don't get stuck in the water, a teleport has been placed on either end under the bridge. Pretty funny, someone can just show up in front of you if there is a firefight on the bridge.

After 15 seconds of playing (which i spent admiring the DT tribute on the wall, which is a poster and a zombie sat in an uncomfortable position on a sofa) i managed to get myself stuck and had to reload to get out of it. It's a clan thing, but i wouldn't recommend this map to anybody who isn't involved with the DT clan.

God has sent the CTs down to investigate and hopefully rescue those hostages as they deserve to be in Heaven. It is the CTs job to escort them back to the gates of Heaven where they will be safe in God's hands. God has helped the CTs by giving them the clouds to walk on and the devil has hid the hostages among the many paths in the firey depths of hell. But beware, don't fall from the heavens and don't burn in hell. You might take a turn for the worse.

building with an alleyway in the middle. In the middle, a sewage pipe with a special AWP care package. On the other side, a small road and a train wreck. All the while, filled with obstacles such as cars, rocks, vending machines, and even *gasp* landmines!! Watch out for those buggers, they\'ll take you out if you step on em. A sewer system connects each base with the pipe in the middle, which provides some intense close combat fights. Depending on your spawn point, you will recieve certain weapons upon spawning. However, if you don\'t like the weapon you are given, you can buy your own choice.

So the Counter-Terrorists have to chase the Terrorists, Until the Terrorists reach the finish (also Bombspot) where they get weapons. At the finish is also a teleportation portal wich brings you back up(if there are any afk's or just for fun). There are multiple ways of getting to the end of the map.

aren't too many textures or brushes, and the box brush repeats throughout the map. The map is just the right size though, so there isn't much running around looking for enemies. There are spots to camp, but almost every spot has a way to be counteracted. It would be nicer if there were more textures or more brushes, but the map is decent nonetheless. The creativity is low because in the second readme he says it IS based of cs_militia. The installations instructions were for dm_frostfire (which is a good map) so I graded him down on that as well.

position to recreate the configuration of one of the most famous chess games ever played. The terrorists must bomb either the white king or the white queen. The counter-terrorists must stop them. This is my second CS:S map, the first that I've released. I was originally planning to turn the chess pieces into models, but I took a few hours today (the 30th of December) to look at the modelling tools available now for HL2... and I certainly don't have the patience to learn how to use them without at least one decent tutorial to lay out the very basics. Fortunately, using a cubemapped tile surface on the chess pieces has made them considerably more pleasing to the eye. This is more apparent in actual gameplay than in the screenshots. There's also a bunch of junk to shoot around in the alleys along the sides of the map.

ambush spot, or in a mosque across the street. The Army trucks are trapped inbetween a debris blockade and a burning fuel tanker that's been destroyed by a carbomb. The action starts out fast because some CT's and T's can see each other, but if you duck you're out of their sights ... so pull the trigger quick or fall back. I've spent a lot of time tweeking the navigation mesh so that bot's run pretty smoothly on the map. With my 3ghz 512mb ram 128mb radeon 9800 system I can load up 15 bots for 8 on 8 matches and it's pretty damn fun. More then that though and the bots start taxing my system to much and the fps start to get out of hand. I've labeled all the area's of the navigation mesh so that you can use the radio to give out locations and if you play with bots they will give you locations as well. Most of the area names are pretty fitting. The closest match I could get for the mosque was 'Inside' which I'm not really happy with. I've got Apartments, Market, Upstairs, Downstairs, Porch, Balconey, Alley, CTSpawn, Truck (the destroyed fuel tanker), Atrium, Inside, Outside, Middle, Stairs, Dumpster and Tunnel ... I think that's all.

time ago in high school drafting class. It's a pentagon shaped house with a pentagon shaped pool in the center. There is an opening for the pool to be filled with natural salt or fresh water, depending on where you like to think the house is near. Across the water is a small island with docks, boats and an old bunker. This is where the terrorists begin. They want to destroy my dream home. Please stop them. Let me know what you think, where my mistakes are and what I might could do to improve this map. One thing, I do understand that my water in my map is different than my skybox...I would REALLY love to know how to fix that situation. ...and, I compiled on "fast" so I could get it to work with me on time to upload. Basically, the map is two bases with an upstairs and downstairs facing each other with a landing in the middle. The ground is riddled with debris and is useful for cover when attacking the enemy\'s base. Two garage doors allow access to each base, as well as a ladder and a door (and the secret passage of course). Be careful, after pushing the first button you will have only 60 second before oldies room destruction! de_vs_cs_dancefloor!.bsp, .nav and .txt can be instaled in the ...Valve\\Steam\\Steamapps\\username\\Counter-Strike Source\\cstrike\\maps\\ directory or in your game directory if you have change it. Make sure to use this .nav file. If you creat yours you may encounter problems with hostages (they do not want to walk anymore!)

The two bomb sites are clearly marked on the map and there are multiple entry points to both of them (at least 6 each). Important note, since this map is very small, the blast radius of the bomb explosions nearly cover it entirely. But, no damage will be recieved if you flee to the opposite bomb site on the map after planting the bomb.

spawns are lower than the floor of the map to prevent spawn killing, known issue in server awp and scout maps. There are 4 basic areas of play, the spawn, sniper towers, buildings and the sewers. This map has 32 spawn points, 16 terrorist, 16 counter terrorist. Only issues know, No clip texture by one of the sniper towers. Doesn\'t give any advantages. Just a small mistake on my part. Scouts only have 10 rounds in the guns do to the lack of hammer\'s ability to read ammo entities or strings to add ammo.
