largely composed of mazes, which are generated with a pseudo-random number generator. Levels have stairs leading either to higher or lower levels of the dungeon. The lower the player descends into the dungeon, the stronger the enemies get. To gain experience and gold more quickly, look for challenges offered by npcs in the overworld. Satisfy their requests by meeting the objective in the indicated dungenlevel. Retrieve your reward by returning to the questgiver. Depending on the gameplay variant (Short, Medium or Long) teleporters will be available at certain levels (for example at every forth level in the short gameplay variant). The teleporter will transport you back to the overworld, where items can be stocked up for further progression through the dungeon. Be sure to prepare yourself well when you descend into the dungeon. Take enough ammo and potions to survive to get to the next teleporter. You start your quest in the wilderness in front of the gates of the city of Asiris. here before you play!! LMS FAQ Also please report bugs here. Official Bug List Doom 3 Coop Mod Last Man Standing Version Beta 0.2 http://lms.d3files.com/ irc.gamesurge.net channel #lms-mod Instructions: You can either use the installer or use the archive that is provided. To use the archive, put it in the doom3 folder (not the base folder) and unzip the archive. After using the installer or archive, load up doom 3, hit the mods button, and select Last Man Standing Beta 0.2 from the list. You should now be ready to kick some horde ass, enjoy. Performance Suggestions: If you are getting a lot of lag there are a few things you can do to improve gameplay. 1) Turn off shadows (under advanced in options -> system) 2) Lower the doom 3 video quality level in options -> system 3) Defrag your hard drive Beta 0.2 Feature List: General- (Check the manual for a more complete list with more information) Coop!! Updates to the Menu, now includes the ability to configure most of the options if not all. There is a server option to use four different difficulty levels for players of varying skill When more players join the monsters get stronger. If a player levels the monsters get weaker. And a lot more!! Weapons- (note: Models for the double barrel and plasmathrower were unfortunately not completed for this release, but will hopefully be in the next one) Weapons were tweaked to decrease lag. The chaingun has a higher rate of fire now and is more realistic. Your assistance is as always, greatly appreciated ;D Personal messages from the team (In alphabetical order): AO: There's a lot of new stuff in this release compared to that last one, I'm very excited about the progress it's had. I'm glad we can finally release LMS with coop support as it is so cool to play with your friends and not against them. A lot of time has been spent by both iten and me to get this mod to work in coop, i hope you enjoy this first coop version. Beerman: It's been a massive month here at LMS as far as raw progress goes. Coop is working fantastically, more maps have been added and old ones have been reworked, we've seen the addition of new team members, and many other exciting things. This Beta's really looking sweet and I Guarantee you'll have a blast playing it!! Burn: This one is for the team, thanks for all your dedication to the mod and making this one of the best experiences I have ever had. Just hanging out with you guys, working on the mod, and just doing what we like, I couldn't possibly have any more fun. Friends till the end. calimer: I just want to thank the team so much for how much effort they've put into this mod. This Beta was a lot more stressful since we were dealing with a completely new turf but we stuck with it and were able to produce something extremely fun to play. Thanks for all of your efforts guys, it is such an honor to work with such dedicated and talented people. As for the players, be prepared for a gaming experience like you have never encountered before :) -Michael "calimer" Tomaino Iten: I hope that you'll like this release, as a huge effort was made by the team to get it out this soon. A month to add as huge and changing of a feature as coop is, well, quite amazing. This wasn't just the coders' release, almost every map had to be changed a bit, if not radically modified. This release isn't perfect, I would say that it probably deserves its beta status. But frankly, not that much stands in our way right now. The main issue, of course, is lag, and that issue has been rectified a lot, to the point where it isn't much worse than normal Doom 3 MP, in some cases better thanks to AO's improvements. We've tried to work with the limitations of Doom 3's multiplayer, but the lag is an issue that we can't really fix very easily. That said, I do think that you'll enjoy it. Just be sure to report any bugs you find to us, no matter how small. Have fun, -Joel "iten" Armstrong Kaiser: Remember kids, everytime you die in coop, God kills a kitten. Please, think of the kittens :( MercyKiller: Co-op will make you its bitch "SUCK IT DOWN!!!" Romero? Not quite. I'm not gonna really repeat the same stuff I said in my beta 0.1 comments, cuz co-op is the real draw with beta 2 - all I can say is iten and AO have been working their assess off on it, and it pwnes. We've also cooked up some new maps for y'all. As always, Beerman and Timbo's are insanely graphical, as are Kaiser's - I've tried to keep mine pretty simple tho (masking my lack of artistic visualization skills) and let the gameplay speak for itself. Hope you all enjoy this release as much as we've enjoyed making it! Stephen "MercyKiller" Youts Spawn-FT: First, my english is very bad so.... Second, I'm very happy to work in the mod. I'm slow on making maps but I'm doing my best for all the peoples who have been disappointed by the doom3 multiplayer. I hope you enjoy it! Timbobsteve: Sup ppl, LMS Coop is finally here.... prepare for the REAL Doom 3 multiplayer experience. This release is alot bigger than the last in terms of technology and content so we will need feedback more than ever. All suggestions should be forwarded to us through our online IRC channels or our web-page forums... Hope you enjoy playing as much as we all enjoyed making it. Final note: I hope you enjoy our beta and please feel free to contact us about any problems you have, whether you like it or dislike it, anything. We'd really like to hear from you. Take care. -calimer calimer1@yahoo.com http://lms.d3files.com/ irc.gamesurge.net channel #lms-mod

Please put it in the doom 3/base folder and load up doom3. Then open up the console (ctrl alt `) and type "map fortcomp10" obviously without the quotes. This is the classic LMS map that was the first example the type of gameplay to be used in the mod. Hangar Incursion (Timbobsteve) Takes place inside the hangar of a base. You are constantly being pushed back by swarms of enemies while needing to hack through security doors to continue your retreat. This map does end, and has a nice special surprise for those that beat it. Loading Dock (Beerman) The player starts off in an area of a base near a train station. While fighting off hordes, the player must make his way to the train station and escape aboard the train. This map does end too. Portal Defense (Beerman) Takes place inside a huge spherical chamber. A portal straight from hell opens up and the player is forced to fight an endless legion of monsters. Try to see how high you can get your score each time. Commando Attack (SpawnFT) This map is a small room with unending amounts of Commandos. See how long you can last in this very addicting map. Chambers of Misery (Mercykiller) A very dark and hellish set of rooms that features endless waves monsters. id Tech 4 Baseball

baseball.zip | 65.87 MB

id Tech 4 engine. Id Tech 4 is set to be release under GPL, although not this year as originally announced. I will work on this mod using Doom 3 as a basis until the engine is released, then release a free, standalone baseball game for at least PC, second choice platform is the Playstation 3, because of Unreal Tournament 3 being customizable on it, and because I own one. Please note: this is an EXTREMELY early alpha, and I am not responsible for any damage to your computer, including damage directly related to this mod. While I have done some testing, it was an extremely small amount, and will likely work differently on different hardware configurations. This is the latest video I have of the mod working, all other videos of this mod are "obsolete" because I lost the original data and started over from scratch within the past few days. I just graduated from high school, and will be busy with life in general, I'm starting a band, moving out of my parent's house, and getting ready for my first semester of college. This game is more of a hobby or "side project," than it would have been if I weren't so busy. Because of the amount of time I will have to work on this project is fairly restricted, my first priority related to this mod will be bug fixes, so please report any bugs you encounter. Not much is there, all you'll be able to do is walk along the plane where a field will go, but enjoy!

Doom 3 Compatibility Tool Mod

d3_base_roe_compatibility_mod.zip | 17.86 MB

abandoned us! He is still at his geographic location pumping out D3 content for the bestest community out there! At last check, he told me he has approximately 30 mods to share, however, having the time to send them in is proving to be an issue. Anyways, we have a treat for you! We have his latest submission hot off the internetz!! The Doom 3 Compatibility Tool Mod is intended to make life easier for map and mod creators, this tool is aimed at people that have some unofficial .pk4 mods placed in the Base and/or d3xp official folders for the basic game and the RoE expansion respectively. Maybe you want to have this extra .pk4 that, if placed in base automatically, will make new features available to many other mods and maps that are placed in other folders; because all of these .pk4s that are placed in Base will make the features available to any other mods that do not change the same, of course, and the same can be said for all RoE mods affected by the extra .pk4s you place on d3xp folder. This is what Dafama2K7's mod is made for, you can keep the extra .pk4s in your Base and RoE folders and instead develop your mods and make new maps in the new d3_base and d3_roe mod folders. These two mod folders only place the default defs and scripts updated to the full latest patch v3.1, but tweaked so it also keeps compatibility with v3.0...so now standard mods for both D3 Base and RoE can be created without having to uninstall your custom .pk4s that maybe you have placed in the official Base and D3xp folders. Refer to the readme for more information, and stay tuned for more great content from Dafama!

sword, the quality of the weapon is the most important factor (just remember what a Hatori Hanzo sword can do...), so, you should take proper care to select your weapon (i.e. the mouse), as bad weapons either don't have a good grip, or don't react very well to quick swings... Also, if you want to excel at sword fighting, you should learn to maximize your skill: a good swing with the katana involves speed, accuracy and the proper movement direction. The multiplayer game includes two original and the 5 standard Doom3 multiplayer maps. breathing space in this one! I traditionally don't like that much this sort of relentless gameplay but I have found this one entertaining eventually :) This is in most part due to its great sound track that perfectly fits the action. It plays like a gauntlet i.e. after each wave of enemies you defeat, you are given a stronger weapon (you begin with just a chain saw). It doesn't last long but its action is intense. Those of you who have played and enjoyed the original DOOM games will probably enjoy it! -Bluehair

The gun turned out way better than I could of ever imagined! nicemice - A special thanks to nicemice for all of his help with the coop code and for letting us use his source code. Our SP Coop gametype was largely based off of his Open Coop mod. We really appreciate all of your help, and it is always nice to see you stop by our irc channel. Check out nicemice's opencoop at http://opencoop.doom3maps.org/ Bluehair - I'd also like to give a special thanks to Bluehair of d3files.com He has been a huge help to the mod with all of his constant support with posting our news and files, and other mod related help. Your assistance is as always, greatly appreciated ;D Brian Harris - Thank you as well Brian Harris for your part in helping Beerman with Infrared vision among other things. We really appreciate your prompt and informative assistance, thanks! We would like to extend a special thanks to the Doom 3 Community for your continuing support. We would also like to thank Id software for making the kick ass game that started it all: DooM. Personal messages from the team (In alphabetical order): AO: Happy to release beta .3! Want to thank hobbes and the awesome beta testers to help us see the bugs both in the SP maps and the LMS maps. Also thanks to the community for suggesting improvements. This release was supposed to be a bugfix release, but turned out to be so much more, we have so much new stuff in the release it's amazing. Don't think it's been easy, there's been A LOT of work done by several people, I'm just happy I've found others guys with the the talent and same passion for games. calimer: I'm really amazed at the progress we have been making in this mod. We just keep on pumping out more and more content. I even asked the team if they felt the need for a small break since I wanted to make sure people were not getting overworked and everyone wanted to keep going. In 0.4 you will see a bunch of new maps that are already being worked on. 0.4 is going to be a map polishing release so expect significant improvements in that area for the next release. In the meantime enjoy our maps with lots of bug fixes in LMS Mod and also play SP Coop which is nearly completely working. I really want to give a huge thanks to the team and to our beta testers for all of their hard work. Also to Revility for all of his hard work on the double barrel shotgun, you rock! As Beta Testers Hobbes and XxLavaxX have been especially awesome in providing great feedback. Also I would like to thank the community for providing all the support they have such as all the positive feedback, hosting servers, etc, it really has been awesome, thank you so much. Enjoy all the new features of 0.3 :D -Michael "calimer" Tomaino Kaiser: Enjoy LMS because its going to get better and better! MercyKiller: This release has been fairly eventful. We're raising the bar in quality control for everything. Think of this release as a technology release. Code has been optimized, SP coop is now supported, and we're laying the groundwork in terms of weapon models and other gameplay tweaks to really have some great maps next release. You may notice that some of the maps in beta 0.2 are not included with beta 0.3. This is due to quality control reasons. Expect all the old maps to be back in beta 0.4, revamped and overhauled to be even more fun and action packed! I'm also really impressed with the way to community has come alive and helped us out. Hobbes, your work has been great! Beta testers, ya'll are awesome. My personal thanks in this release has to go to B33Rman for putting up with my barrage of scripting questions. I appreciate it dude. Stephen "MercyKiller" Youts Timbobsteve: This is mainly a bug release build. We focused mainly on fixing problems that were discovered during the public testing of Beta 0.2. By rights we would have liked to have no bugs in Beta 0.2 but alas this is not the nature of Development. You won't find alot of new content just added functions that should help make the game alot more solid to play. As always our development is strongly controlled by user responses and feedback.. So use the forums and e-mail details to let us know what u think. On a small side note, it should be noted that the last man standing team fully supports user made maps. While we do have our own map dev team it is strongly believed that the success of a game in the public domain is largely due to user-made content. So start collecting those ideas for cool maps. If u have a great idea for a map, but lack the ability to see it through post your thoughts on our forums and some of your map ideas might be taken on board by the dev team. NOTE: we also supply a mapping guide on our site, which is also included in the release. -Timbobsteve Final note: I hope you enjoy our beta and please feel free to contact us about any problems you have, whether you like it or dislike it, anything. We'd really like to hear from you. Take care. -calimer calimer1@yahoo.com http://lms.d3files.com/ irc.gamesurge.net channel #lms-mod For the LMS news join our newsletter at http://lms.d3files.com/newsletter.php

We'd really like to hear from you. levels for players of varying skill (Timbobsteve, Beerman) Score system (Timbobsteve) End of game Score Display (Timbobsteve) Kicking soundtrack to every map (see music section) Walkspeed changed to equal runspeed (Beerman) Weapons- (note: Models for the double barrel and plasmathrower were unfortunately not completed for this release, but will hopefully be in the next one) Pistol is 3 shot (Beerman) Double Barrel shotgun -- single shot autoreload version (Beerman) Chaingun with 300 round belt and a lower rate of fire (Beerman) Plasmathrower (Beerman) - Turned the plasmagun into a flamethrower using plasma Maps- Fortcomp10 (calimer) note-- This map is meant to be a standalone, not used with the mod.
