Basically, this is a mod which encompasses changes in graphics, sound, gameplay, AI, mood and immersion...everything a Doom fanatic needs to get his or her fix! Abandon All Hope DooM III is the result of this developer's personal take on DooM III and Hell. It aims to add to the experience and allow those who wish to play under other circumstances than the default game, another chance to get to know the universe of Doom a little better. One of the biggest change that this mod makes is to address one of the biggest complaints of this game, and that is the darkness; Everything is way too dark, and changing this presented a unique issue...so, there's a give and take here, making it dark is what added to ambiance in the first place, and to completely remove it would be to limit one of the defining pillars of the game. The trick is of course, finding the balance between nail biting tension generated by hard shadows and murky depths and the other end of the spectrum which is quite frankly, "I can't see a bloody thing." To this end the shotgun has an affixed taclight, and point-targeting has been added to the missile launcher and pistol. [b]Some of the features of this mod include:[/b] Possessed: Zombie - They will serve to cause chaos and panic amongst the weaker sheep, while obscuring the horrors that are to follow behind them. Commando - The culmination of form and function within the ranks of the Willing; These have had their speed and damage increased. is set on the atmosphere. Then and now the previously mentioned versions featured the best atmosphere for a horror shooter. The lugubrious sound has to be mentioned as well, since the atmosphere wouldn't appear half that grotesque and antic without a good sound. This makes those versions even better than the already excellent PC versions. In the new episode you'll have to find your way without flashlight. You'll also miss the PDA and its helpful messages. You're all on your own. But you have unlimited stamina while finding your way through the forecourt of hell where you're trapped in. This will turn out as a hard piece of work but should prod you to fight with all available forces against the creatures of hell and turn their inside out. There are also slight changes in weapon sounds, weapon attributes and player attributes. Same changes apply to the Deathmatch mode, so that you'll not only encounter new maps but also slightly changed weapons. I also changed the cheats - There's a new version for every cheat. It's important to mention that you'll have to play In Hell twice to reach the end level. You won't encounter the full fascination of In Hell unless you've played each episode a second time. But no worries. The second run will be very different from the first run. You'll play the levels in a different direction with different objectives and visit locations which weren't accessible in the first run. There are also changes in the architecture of the buildings and caves. The background music is slightly different in the second run to achieve a different feeling. Each level has its own theme that perfectly fits to it's individual atmosphere. 3D Gamers Edge has reviewed In Hell! You escape the attack only to find yourself alone and defenseless. You must escape and find a way to return back to headquarters and warn UAC about the invasion or die trying. ------------- Features: ------------- This mod has three new controls for the inventory. You can set the keys though the main menu. Go to options>control>inventory. The inventory will be displayed on the lower right of the player's hud. You are only allowed to carry three items at a time. When picking up medkits, they are automatically stored if the player's health is equal or above 100%. Otherwise the player uses the medkit when he picks it up. Other items can be customized to be stored in the carry inventory. You can use the cursor to select what item is in the inventory slot. Another feature is a improved monster reaction AI. Monsters will no longer attack its own kind if its rank is higher than the other. Instead monsters will attack its own kind if it gets hit by a monster, regardless of its rank. Right \"N\"= x+ \"M\"= x- -Working thirdPerson View with AIM Scope: Press \"X\". This has two bugs in the camera. But Works. -Increased dynamic lighting for muzzleflashes for all weapons. (Lights up about 10 ft.) -Restricted gibbing to only the Shotgun, RL, Plas Rifle, BFG, and Chainsaw. -All melee zombies (Not demons or commando zombies.) come back to life after a short period of time unless gibbed. (Which means to keep them dead after shooting them you have to pull out the chainsaw and dismember them. :D ) -Doubled the refire rate for the pistol and machine gun. (Didn\'t double the ammo pickup for them so use short bursts with the machine gun.) -Increased the clip size for the Chaingun from 60 to 120. (60 just didn\'t seem to justify a \"chain\") -Increased the kickback of the shotgun by 5x. The enemies now fly back about 10ft when killed with it. -Increased the shotgun damage slightly. -Halved the bounciness of the grenades so they don\'t act like a \"superfunball.\" -Added a blue aura eminating from the Plasma Rifle extending about 5ft. -BFG explosion now has dynamic lighting that would brighten up a warehouse as it should. (Before it didn\'t brighten at all.) -Flashlight for Pistol, Shotgun, Machinegun and Chaingun. -New sounds more realistic for Pistol, Showgun, Machinegun. -Remove the BEEP from Multiplayer Games. -A new SentryBot for help player, for call him press \"E\" -Preliminary version of COOP (not the official COOP!) -New AI for a few commando zombies. -Now you can see the bullets but is too fast!.

It aims to add to the experience and allow those who wish to play under other circumstances than the default game, another chance to get to know the universe of Doom a little better. One of the biggest change that this mod makes is to address one of the biggest complaints of this game, and that is the darkness; Everything is way too dark, and changing this presented a unique issue...so, there's a give and take here, making it dark is what added to ambiance in the first place, and to completely remove it would be to limit one of the defining pillars of the game. The trick is of course, finding the balance between nail biting tension generated by hard shadows and murky depths and the other end of the spectrum which is quite frankly, "I can't see a bloody thing." To this end the shotgun has an affixed taclight, and point-targeting has been added to the missile launcher and pistol. [b]Some of the features of this mod include:[/b] Possessed: Zombie - They will serve to cause chaos and panic amongst the weaker sheep, while obscuring the horrors that are to follow behind them. Commando - The culmination of form and function within the ranks of the Willing; These have had their speed and damage increased. You can use a little radar on the HUD to orient yourself among the control points, bases, enemies and allies. Capturing control points earns you increased flux of credits, which can be used to buy upgrades. Control points can only be captured, if no emeny units are nearby. The goal of each game is to successfully destroy the enemy base(s). To destroy the enemy base, you will need to locate the generators, and destroy them (make sure to hit the generators at their weak spot). ...Sounds pretty easy, eh? (If you just answered \'yes\', boy, are you going to be surprised!) You can choose from four different maps with four different difficulty settings. [b]Map 1[/b] Opposing Bases is much easier to beat from a strategic point of view. [b]Map 2[/b] Center Heat is tough to beat even on normal difficulty and requires more optimized strategic thinking. [b]Map 3[/b] Control Room confines you into a room overlooking the battle - you cannot directly engage in the fight, and you are completely dependent on your tactical skills. It\'s a pretty tough map to beat... [b]Map 4[/b] The Maze is set out in an underground bunker system and requires your tactical skill as well as quick reactions on the field. The goal of MAP1 and MAP4 is to destroy all enemy bases. To destroy the enemy base, you will need to locate the generators, and destroy them (make sure to hit the generators at their weak spot). The generators are usually guarded by machinegun turrets. The enemy turrets can be destroyed, but they respawn after a given delay. The goal of MAP2 and MAP3 is to control all 6 control points for at least 60 seconds. In these maps, the base generators can still be destroyed, but they are much less vulnerable and better protected. Too often I was passing up armor and ammunition because I was already loaded down with enough ordinance to give Satan himself a nasty flesh wound. As a fan of "survival horror" games, I've loved the tension of dwindling ammo stores, making every shot count because I wasn't sure if I'd have enough bullets to face the next unholy creature that craved my flesh. That's the atmosphere that this Mod seeks to create. In effect, it looks to create a "Nightmare"-like experience without the rather cheesy trick id Software resorted to. The weapons are a bit more fairly balanced (no more riding the shotgun for all it's worth); the monsters are tougher and require more careful aiming to take down easily; and available ammunition is reduced- carelessly blasting away at enemies will, more often than not, leave you with less ammunition than demons to fire it at. This time, you're not a walking armoury. This time, every opponent is dangerous. [list] [b]Some of the changes to the map include:[/b] [*]Changes were made to several of the maps to include the new double barrel shotgun weapon pickup. That way you don't have to use a cheat to get it. [*]The developer has added several bot characters into Alphalabs 3 [/list] According to John Carrizales, this is to be the final release of his Perfected Doom 3 mod. [i]"This version will improve on everything that sucked about version 2.5"[/i] and just goes to show you that developers often listen to feedback. [b]Some of the general changes made are:[/b] Added better lighting usage to the whole game. This makes the skins and textures look life-like and not so plastic-like. Raised the heightmap values for all textures and skins a whole lot. This gives extreme depth to all of the textures in the game. Rocks look like rocks, fabric for clothing looks like fabric, metal looks like metal, etc. The game looks 100 times better. And best of all, it doesn't add any kind of framerate lag. Added better zombie sounds. Added better pistol firing sounds. Added better double barrel shotgun firing sounds. Blood now squirts out of the bullet wound that you put on a monster for a short while. Very cool effect. All monster attacks that should make blood spray now make blood spray. The amount is dependent on the damage ratio of the attack. Added small, medium, large, deadly, and Soul Cube specific burstysquirts. The original burstysquirt acts as the medium sized version of the particle effect with some added effects. Blood is now darker. Bullet casings will stay on the ground for about 5 minutes. The debris from explosions will stay forever. And a whole lot more! Refer to the readme for more information.

Ex-marines, especially those who have refused to bear arms, are seen as the best men for the job: they've been well trained, and no-one cares if they don't make it back. You're going to need some firepower, but don't expect it to be anything other than non-lethal force. There's a shotgun down there somewhere, but it's only loaded with rubber bullets. To make things even more uncomfortable, you've been sent down with a direct radio transmitter to an embittered, crippled marine whose supposed to get you out in one piece, but is happy to remind you every step of the way that he's rooting for the zombies. Being a covict, the UAC wanted some way to ensure obedience...it's no good to send you on a mission, only to have you go AWOL, how did they accomplish this? Flashlight now has more light radius, ChainsSaw has less light radius and the light color is blue instead of the classic red. Grabber on ROE has a green flashlight mounted now. Fixed all flashlights being too overbright and also added muzzleflash without losing the mounted flashlights to the pistol, shotgun and machinegun, that previously missed because of the mounted flashlights! ...And more! In order to spawn allied demons, you need to capture control points, which are distributed across the map. You can use a little radar on the HUD to orient yourself among the control points, bases, enemies and allies. Capturing control points earns you increased flux of credits, which can be used to buy upgrades. Control points can only be captured, if no emeny units are nearby. The goal of each game is to successfully destroy the enemy base(s). [b]Map 3[/b] Control Room confines you into a room overlooking the battle - you cannot directly engage in the fight, and you are completely dependent on your tactical skills. It's a pretty tough map to beat... [b]Map 4[/b] The Maze is set out in an underground bunker system and requires your tactical skill as well as quick reactions on the field. The goal of MAP1 and MAP4 is to destroy all enemy bases. To destroy the enemy base, you will need to locate the generators, and destroy them (make sure to hit the generators at their weak spot). The generators are usually guarded by machinegun turrets. The enemy turrets can be destroyed, but they respawn after a given delay. The goal of MAP2 and MAP3 is to control all 6 control points for at least 60 seconds. In these maps, the base generators can still be destroyed, but they are much less vulnerable and better protected. dramatically improve single player experience, still does not change the way doom3 was meant to be played. More importantly, this mod does not cause a drop down in frame rate. Rather than introducing bunch of new stuff like alternate fire modes for weapons etc, I have made an effort to polish the original game elements themselves, like, Stereo surround sounds for weapons, tweaked physics behaviour with physics sounds, bodies and objects react realistically to explosions and projectiles, new better looking and high performance particle effects, etc. It also includes super shotgun from Resurrection of Evil along with the support for upto 32 weapons. This mods plays like original game, without increasing the weapons' damages or changing any other gameplay elements. I believe, doom 3 has a state of the art game engine, which has not been put to best possible use. Neither, I claim that I had done it. Although,I have made an effort towards it. I dont intend to change/introduce new skins, bump mapping etc, for mainly two reasons, first, the original art work is perfectly balanced for quality and performance and sencondly, I am more of a programmer than an artist. This mod includes Doom 3 Ultra Quality Tweak by compguru76, which will let you play Doom3 at better frame rates at ultra quality or high quality. The tweak is part of the mod so you dont have to change anything. For whom this mod is useful? - If you are playing Doom 3 for the first time or going for the second run, dont play it without this mod. - If you have downloaded any of the community made single player maps then this mod is for you. - If you are a developer of a single player map you can integrate this mod readily. - If you wish to add your own weapon to doom 3 in a hassle free way, then use this mod. - Any modder who wishes to utilize the new SDK features, can find this mod useful.

USe the Y and H keys to scroll through available items bought in the shop. A maximum of 15 items can be stacked. Use the B key to use/cast the selected item/spell, or use the V key and sussequently one of the hotkeys (Q, E, Z or X) to assign the item/spell to this hotkey. By killing enemies you will earn experience, which will enable advances in character level. You will earn two ability points at each level advance. Use the tab key to enter the ability development gui. Select an available spell or ability using the arrow and enter keys. More spells/abilities and higher levels will become available later in the game. At higher spell levels, casting is more likely to succeed and costs less mana. Higher ability levels improve weapon efficiency.

document. This mod is intended to make Doom 3 more immersive and enjoyable by heightening the realism and by making monsters smarter. The game is more difficult as a result, but not stupidly so. Please note that NO DAMAGE OR HEALTH VALUES HAVE BEEN CHANGED in this mod. The player and the monsters deal and take exactly the same amounts of damage as they did before. This mod will make Doom 3 look better and run slower - you have been warned. ------------------- Modifications: ------------------- Player Weapon Changes - Brass and decals stay indefinitely (achieved by including bugfixed "Decals Mod" by boglito - with a bug fix). - The Flashlight beam has been altered to look more realistic and allow the player to see a bit better with it. - The Shotgun is now much more realistic. It's a 12 guage instead of 13 and has 33% less spread, so it's effective at medium range. It also reloads 1 shell at a time instead of 2, and cannot miraculously jump from the middle of a reload to being fired. - The Plasma Rifle fire rate has been reduced a tiny bit, but The plasma blasts move faster. They also have a realistic looking glow (they illuminate the place, casting shadows and so on). - The Rocket Launcher and Hand Grenades have been tweaked for greater realism. The blast strength and radius of both have been altered to get much more realistic explosions (remember that the damage is the same as before). In addition the Grenades don't bounce around like rubber balls and don't explode when they touch an enemy. - The BFG now lights the place up like it should! :) - When cycling through weapons only the Shotgun, Machinegun, Chaingun, Hand Grenades and Rocket Launcher can be selected. All other weapons are skipped, so you'll need to assign shortcut keys (or use the default keys) for the Plasma Rifle, BFG and Soul Cube. This change means you don't have to cycle through crap you don't need (Fists, Pistol, Chainsaw, Flashlight - though you can shortcut to them if you really like) and you can have the three "power weapons" on hand quickly with shortcut keys that are close to your main controls. Monster Changes - Zombies only gib when hit by plasma (Plasma Rifle or BFG) or by rockets (direct hit only) and demons don't burn away, ever... so you get huge piles of (ragdoll!) bodies. :) Note that this can cause problems in certain parts of the game. For example, when a body falls in a place where it prevents a lift from moving. I'm working on it... - Self-shadowing is enabled for all monsters. This is like "UEQ" by Oneofthe8devilz, except that in this mod dead bodies are also shadowed, and non-monster characters (such as Swann and Betruger) remain unchanged so that there are no nasty graphical artifacts during cutscenes. - Monsters have had what I call procrastination code removed from their AI's. The way they "think" is all that has changed - I've not made them move faster or anything like that. They will now attack/dodge/leap/charge/etc whenever they can instead of casually ambling towards you while you mow them down. This is perhaps the most significant change, and it results in a dramatic improvement in gameplay. The changes for each monster are as follows: ZSEC ZOMBIES: They will fire at you whenever they can and dodge whenever you fire back. The ones with shotguns now fire at the same rate as your shotgun does. IMPS: They will leap whenever they get a chance and will fire at you non-stop the rest of the time. MAGGOTS, TRITES, TICKS and CHERUBS: They will dodge whenever you fire at them, and will attack ruthlessly once they get within leaping range. PINKIES: They will not bother to roar or dodge. They'll just charge right at you and not stop until one of you is dead. Kiss goodbye to those valuable seconds you used to gain when they stopped to have a yawn and a stretch... WRAITHS: They won't go invisible anymore. This is because when they go invisible you just have to aim down 45 degrees with the shotgun, wait for them to conveniently appear in your crosshair and then pull the trigger, which is so easy it's boring. Wraiths actually move very fast while visible (this is not something I've changed, they were like that before) and are much more challenging that way. Deal with them quickly or suffer the consequences. LOST SOULS: They will charge at you from miles away, and once they start attacking they won't stop. Make sure you take them out before they get close! TENTACLE COMMANDOS and CACODEMONS: They will not pause between shots. CHAINGUN COMMANDOS and ARCHVILES: They will fire at you whenever they can and dodge whenever you fire back. HELLKNIGHTS, REVENANTS and MANCUBI: They have had their attack AI tweaked. Basically they are a bit more aggressive (they were pretty damn aggressive already so not much need for change there).

With this mod: - The easy difficulty level (TOUGH) is about as difficult as Veteran on plain Doom3. - The medium difficulty level (BRUTAL) will challenge folks who have already beaten Doom 3 on Veteran difficulty. - The hard difficulty level (MASOCHISTIC) is nasty and I haven't completed the game yet at this level. If you triumph over the nightmare difficulty level (SUICIDAL) then you are, well, duh, oh nevermind nobody will survive SUICIDAL anyway. In my previous releases I had improved the difficulty and realism of Doom3. In this release I have been mainly working on boosting fun and excitement. The method by which I did this was by stealing and editing the DoubleSpawn feature of [file="43272"]the Double v2.0 mod[/file] by Mausus Atlas. This causes monsters to periodically spawn nearby, thereby making kombat unending and relentless. KILL! KILL!! KILL!!! -------------- Changes: -------------- - Changed the specular skins for machinegun, chaingun, plasmagun, and bfg to remove the glare on the weapon mounted guis. - Removed instances of mtr_wound_flesh2, mtr_wound_flesh3, and mtr_wound_flesh4 from weapons. The reason I added these in the first place was to prevent old wounds from dissappearing when you fill a monster full of lead. To understand what I mean, go kill a zomibe with your pistol, shoot its corpse all over about a dozen times, then shoot it in the same spot repeatedly. As it turned out, this really wasn't that noticeable, and removing it must save a little bit of memory. - Made new decals for hellknight fireball impacts, and plasma impacts, and chaingun impacts. - Fixed a small, nearly insignificant error in chaingun.gui. - Reduced chainsaw damage from 50 to 25. - New pickup sounds for chaingun belts, plasma cells, rockets, and bfg cells. - Increased the mass of your bullets so they throw enemies farther. - Added even more sounds to the silly soundpack. - Worked some more on Doomguy's new skin. - Monsters fireballs cause scorchmark wounds upon impact with flesh. - Added lasersights to pistol and shotgun, and added a flashlight to the machinegun. These don't cancel out muzzle flashes like most other flashlight and laser sight mods do. To do this, I wrote an FX file that makes a flash of light at the beginning of firing animations. - Revised documentation to make it more complete and up to date.

As a fan of "survival horror" games, I've loved the tension of dwindling ammo stores, making every shot count because I wasn't sure if I'd have enough bullets to face the next unholy creature that craved my flesh. That's the atmosphere that this Mod seeks to create. In effect, it looks to create a "Nightmare"-like experience without the rather cheesy trick id Software resorted to. The weapons are a bit more fairly balanced (no more riding the shotgun for all it's worth); the monsters are tougher and require more careful aiming to take down easily; and available ammunition is reduced- carelessly blasting away at enemies will, more often than not, leave you with less ammunition than demons to fire it at. This time, you're not a walking armory. This time, every opponent is dangerous. Hell itself waits to see if you are a true survivor.

When you throw it, it bounces once and stays still before exploding. - Nothing else has been changed in terms of weapon power or ammo count and the such. - For those interested in Coop, I tried to come up with the next best thing, until the SDK comes out. You can summon a special sentry that will follow you around the game defending you. This sentry is based on the MOD released by Michael Knight (UAC Sentry Robot Mod) as well as information I got from a post by PDQ 7779473 on www.forumplanet.com. The key difference between mine and Michael Knight\'s is that mine doesn\'t affect all the sentries you see in the game. It also does not cause problems with saves and quicksaves. You can summon the sentry by doing the following: (1) Bring down the console by pressing Ctrl+Alt+~ (2) type the following in the console: Bind \"x\" \"spawn char_guardsentry\" Where x can be any key. From this point on, as soon as you press the x button, a guard sentry will appear in front of you, ready to defend you till death.

If there is a file named pak005.pk4 already rename the mod .pk4 to the next number (ex pak006.pk4). Then load up Doom 3 and enjoy. Removal: Simply delete the pak005.pk4 file and your pistol will be back to normal. Notes: If you have a saved game halfway through the level you will automatically restart at the beginning, as it is with every mod you install. If you delete the .pk4 u will begin where you were.
