Geez! >_> As all of you can see, the author did a basic recoloring of the HUD from silverish-gray to a black/charcoal color. I'm going to admit that in most cases, a simple recolor wouldn't really be much in my eyes. Although, I actually like this HUD. I can definitely picture myself using it every once in a while. That might just be me though... The slight modifications are the obvious reshaping of the HUD as a whole. You'll notice these modifications in the screenshots and in the game. Other than those major changes, I didn't really see anything else that was worth reviewing. I saw no bugs or glitches with the HUD at all, which is always good. Although, I would highly recommend adding some more creative features to the HUD. That's definitely make it appeal to more people if you ask me. Overall, this is a pretty good HUD modification. As I said, some more creativity added to the HUD would make it much better. Although, that really depends on if you plan to make a V2 of this or not. Either way, you did a pretty good job! This is definitely worth a download if you're getting bored of using the same old default HUD! ~Syyrax
actually...the new texture has a transparent background, so you don't have to worry about the (already small enough) hud getting in the way any more. The basic shape is still a circle, but with grass (or something similar) coming off of them. They're colored completely black. The shield meter consists of two circles that change color from green to red as they deplete, and the health uses a single red bar in the same way. The ammo and force are unchanged as far as I can tell. To be honest, part of me liked this. Maybe you will too - check out the screenshot. ~Dretzel

should have noticed, this is a JK2 mod. Most of the material that was "borrowed" is from JK3, so this author is simply bringing his favorite bits over into JK2, while including some of his own work. So let's have a taste of what we get here. First, you can either play with a katana or some better sabers. Each have their own special effects, so check out the readme for what's compatible/incompatible. The spawn bubble is now red, and the menu has been changed a bit. This author even made his own opening logos ROQ video! There are also some new stances included, which are definitely different than anything I've seen. I love the red stance - looks like a baseball bat stance ;). Definitey some effort in this file, and the new menu and splash screens just look cool in my opinion. in-game cut-scenes. I know some of you will probably be thinking of the saber blades in-game in Dark Forces 2, but I believe we already have a mod to get that look somewhere else on the site. This mod is to make the blades look like the ones in the Dark Forces 2 [b]cut-scenes[/b], that is to say, the live-action ones. Personally I have never played Dark Forces 2 (other than the demo) but I have seen many of the in-game cut-scenes and I believe from what I have seen that these saber blades are pretty accurate to what is in those cut-scenes. There’s not much more I can say besides that, overall I think they look accurate to what they are meant to represent, so if you guys are fans of Dark Forces 2, like the look of this mod or just want to try out a new saber blade mod, give this a download! :) ~Nozyspy~

Yellow stance is close to the normal stance, except with this it looks like the holder is breathing deeply. Red stance holds the saber off to the side, horizontally. This mod also changes the running animation to not move the hand with the saber as much when running forward. A nice little mod, I say. But don't take my word for it. playing against bots, and since I was such a n00b, the bots were definitely challenging enough. Now, not so much. Some of you guys still play JK2 with bots probably because you\'re on dial-up. So here\'s a mod made just for you guys! :D Darkseide modified several of the original botfiles including Chiss, Gran, Imperial, Reelo - among many others. They all have more taunts and bot attachments and are a bit more challenging. I played for a bit with these new and improved bots and they put up quite a fight. :) If you play with bots often, this might be worth checking out. modification, which basically is completely correct! Excited yet? Well it gets better! LoL alright, so we’ve seen a hundred and one moves modifications sent in and submitted. So you’re asking yourself “Why should I download this, I bet it’s the same old stuff I’ve seen before.” To some extent that’s correct, but there are some nice new changes. First let’s take a look at what isn’t new to you if you’ve tried a few moves modifications. First off the side flips are aerials, which I’ve always thought was cool. (For those who don’t know, and aerial is a flip to the side where you kinda do a cartwheel in the air…sorta :P)The back roll is the butterfly roll, always a flashy addition to any moves mod. Now for some new and interesting things. First of the back flip animation has been changed into a different sort of back layout flip twist deal. Really cool, save the way the body contorts the legs near the end of the animation. It’s really actually quite forgivable given the flip it self is sweet. Here’s something, probably the most obvious part of the moves mod. The saber stances and how they have been modified. First, blue has been altered to a sort of ready stance where the saber is being held in front of and slightly over the top of the players head. The animation moves slightly so that the stance isn’t stagnant. On the contrary it’s a fluid back and forth motion, the only thing that bothers me with this is its reminiscence to robotic like motions. Any who, that’s just a little nitpicking :D Yellow stance holds the saber close to the characters body, and really if the stance has been changed you can’t tell too much. Red is probably the most drastic of changes. The saber is held out semi perpendicular to the ground, kinda looks like a halted stabbing motion. This sounds like it would be really awkward, but it’s actually very interesting from some of the moves modifications I’ve run into.(some of which I wish I really hadn’t run into :P) This moves modification is packed with some sweet and stylish techniques for all you mini-mod enthusiasts, with just enough new in it to make it a worthwhile download. in MP and SP versions of the games. Most of the weapons have new skins, effects and sounds or are remodeled by other authors. You are able to have and change both hilts in each hand and you can have the blades appear as if they glow the same as they do in a duel. The authors have added a new map and sounds as well. New start up screen and other little touches make this feel more like its on game then a mod. Blood was added instead of the sparks, when you cut a limb off you see a red stump and not the yellowish one you would usually see. All of the night creatures and Blade fans will be happy to play this mod. I initially was very excited to review this mod and after playing it I was a little disappointed. There isn’t that much no going here just a bunch of things from other mods rolled into one. Most of the skins are not that good in quality taking the realism down a notch and in the SP the Jan skin is missing her torso. Other then my two statements above this mod was overall fun and refreshing. Nice work guys I can’t wait for an official release with better skins/models and more original works added. Maddog

Overall they look cool, though my only complaint is that the colours of the flags do not match the colours of the team bases ingame. The Imperial flag should be red and the Rebel flag blue, but these are the other way around. To be honest, I don't know why they made the Imperial team colour red and the Rebels blue when they made the game, since red is more of a Rebel colour, and blue more of an Imperial colour. I guess you could say that the colours of these flags are more in tune with each team, but it is a little distracting when your teams flag is not the same colour as your team. The most noticeable of the effects changes is the saber blade, which now has a ‘split in two’ look that is very reminiscent of the Jedi Knight ‘lightsaber’ logo, you know, the one on the front of your JK2 box. I am presuming this is where the idea came from, and personally I think it looks really cool, a nice way to integrate the Jedi Knight logo into the actual game. The saber trails have also been changed to look like flames and also among the changes are the bubbles that surround the player when they spawn, which now use a much better texture and don’t look like nondescript blobs anymore. ;) The most major change to the game however, is that many of the maps skyboxes have now been replaced by a starry night sky. This is the same for Bespin and Yavin maps alike, as an example. Whilst some people wont like the fact that this mod makes such a drastic change to the game in this way, it does fit in with the theme of the name of the mod – ‘night mod’. Personally, the maps don’t actually look that bad with a night sky instead of their default one, however I do think that this should have been made an optional feature. Anyway, back to the main subject of the mod, which are the game menus. As I said at the start, the menus now have an orangy theme with a wavy style background. The lightsaber cursor has also been changed, having the ‘wavy’ effect also applied to it, which looks a little weird, but also kinda cool. Lastly there are also new chat bubbles, which use one of the textures from the Yavin Trials singleplayer map, you know, the ones with the symbols on where you have to match the ones on the walls with the ones on the floor using your force powers. Anyway, all in all a cool mod here, I especially liked the new saber blades. I do think though that the night skyboxes should have been an optional feature, since some people wont like such a drastic change. As for improvements, I think it would be cool to add some new sound effects, like for when you click on things and such. That is, if you decide to make a v2 of this mod. Overall though good work here, I look forward to seeing more of your work! ~Nozyspy~
such that the mod introduces, but this is the first time I personally have seen a new menu mod made for the base JK2 game. This is a fairly small mod, but it does add quite a few new things that can be tweaked ingame. When I say ingame, I mean once you have actually gone [i]ingame[/i] since that is the only place this new menu is available from. You cannot access it through the main menu when you first start the game, which is a little confusing. Anyway, the new options that can be tweaked from this menu include changing the style of the crosshair, adding an FPS counter and a clock and also a lagometer display. There is also an option for optimizing your connection to the server you are on. Overall I think this is a great idea for a mod, and I would like to see more like this, although I do think it would be good id this menu was also available from the main menu screen when you start up JK2. If you guys want some more options to tweak ingame, then give this a download! :) ~Nozyspy~
Australian community of JK2 something to use, so he gave the CTF flags a total makeover. To be honest, there hasn't been a lot of flag modifications lately, and I've always wondered why. Hmm, oh well. One of the major changes that can seen on this flag is, well, the Australian flag. So, for those of you Australians around these here parts that have been dying to have something for the community, here's your chance! One of the other major things that you'll notice is the new and not-to-shabby transparency addition. This is the one change that gives the whole flag some flavor if you ask me. I can imagine bunny hopping around a CTF map, and looking to my side and seeing that flag just floating up and down, while telling me to come capture it... Ahh, the memories of Capture the flag. All in all, this is a pretty great makeover for the CTF flag. Although, not all of you are Australian, so It might not be to your liking. Nevertheless, I'm going to keep it in my base. For those of you who want a different style of the CTF flag, this is definitely for you! ~Syyrax

Another noticeable change is to the lightsaber blades and colours. The colours are much brighter and as said above are more ‘neon’ looking. The core of the blades is also much thinner now, as opposed to the thicker white beam of the default blades. Another big change of course is the music, which is now a techno version of everyone’s favourite Duel of the Fates music from Episode 1. Personally this was not really to my taste, but that is just my personal preference. If you like techno or dance music, then I think you will definitely like this. :) All in all then an interesting and far ranging mix of different changes made to JK2 here although I think that the overall effect does look good. If you guys fancy a change from the default look and feel of JK2 both ingame and on the menu screen, then give this a download! ;) [b]***NOTE*** In response to the authors question (at the end of the readme) about taking screenshots without the console:[/b] What you need to do is bind the screenshot command to a key on your keyboard. So open the console and simply type /bind x screenshot and then press enter. X can be replaced with whatever key you fancy, then all you have to do is press that key to take screenshots. Don’t forget to remove the HUD though by typing /cgdraw2d 0 in the console. Once you want the HUD back, just put a 1 on the end instead of a 0 and press enter to change it back. You can also do the same thing to get rid of the gun in first person view, just type /cg_drawgun 0 to get rid of it and replace the 0 with a 1 to get the gun model back on again. You can simply go to the newly added menu to change the music to any of the songs in the SP part of the game, as well as adjust the music\'s volume there as well. Not a really complicated mod, no, but it is one that I actually like quite a bit. Now if there was one for JK3... (hint hint :p) Give it a download if you like this as much as I do. :D

Kyle and Jan are now Tusken Raiders, Stormtroopers are replaced with a cybernetic heap of metal which gave me a desire to sing the Transformers theme song, and Imperials are now various versions of Coleman Trebor. Other models used include Sebulba, Darth Maul, Royal Guard, and various other assorted Star Wars entities. Still, as bizzare a selection as it is, it's certainly different. With this mod, you start with the saber and maxed out force powers, thus removing many of the more fun elements from a large chunk of the game. Being godlike isn't really all it's cracked up to be.... The lightsaber is replaced with the Tusken staff - probably not the smartest choice, considering it cuts straight through robots whereas given the laws of physics, it shouldn't even leave a dent. >_> There's also a couple of other mods, thrown in for good measure. A jetpack mod and a TCK Saber mod for dual saber and twin sabers. Naturally, with most modifications comes bugs. 1. Don't expect to use first person view. You can use it, but you'll get glitches, due to the Tusken Raider model having... extremities coming out of it's head. Pipes, to be precise. Not only are they annoying, but they block out a large chunk of your view. 2. One of the more noticable model errors is the untextured parts on the Coleman Trebor variants, however, various other model errors include buggy animations, small mesh glitches, and minor deformations. One example is Darth Maul's nose doing the talking. 3. The roll move has been changed to JKA's "Butterfly" move. Even though this change is intentional, it's problematic to gameplay. This move WILL get you killed. A lot. Also, since there's no roll, you can't dodge effectively, and you can't prevent yourself from taking fall damage. 4. Kill the troopers on the balcony (near the start of Kejim Post) as fast as you can. Jan can now jump up there, and if she does, she won't get on the lift when you blow the door open. Should she have the opportunity to make that jump, use Force Push to knock her back down and hope there's no fall damage. 5. This goes for any mod, or even if you aren't playing a mod at all - the exploding machine in the first level must always be shot at. Not slashed, shocked, or detonated, but shot at. Destroying it via any means other than the Bryar or E-11 will result in you being kicked from the game. It's an interesting model overwrite pack, on account of the fact that it's so different. Still, between the slight bugs and the tweaks which increase the gameplay difficulty, it's probably wise to avoid unless you're after a challenge as well as some model overwrites. ~ Kouen
about a saber blade constructed from holo-heads? Sure it has comedy value, but it kinda makes the game into a joke. Thankfully it only overwrites the yellow saber. saber blade is…flames at the tip! I found it funny, and moderately cool at the same time. And not only have flames been added, but a little white box is now in your saber’s core. at all. Anyway, as I said, this is basically just a set of tweaks, so as such, here's the list: ------------------------------------------ - Menu music changes. Through The Canopy for SP, Battle of the Heroes for SP. The SP menu music isn't really noticable that much, since you'll probably be making a fast beeline for the load menu. Battle of the Heroes is a completely inappropriate choice for menu music. For a boss battle, maybe, but not for the menu. - "Gas" effect when you strike people with a lightsaber has been removed. This actually reduces the realism of the game somewhat. In the movies, this effect wasn't present because most of what got cut through was flesh and robes, but in the games, most of what gets cut is plastic. What happens when plastic melts? I dunno about anyone else, but when I was doing technology at school, melting plastic let off a steam effect. Either way, Raven's steam effect looks kinda bad, so this might be a welcome tweak for some of you. - Tavion no longer has the chin tatoo. See the author's Tavion reskin. That's what ya get here. - Force Powers sound like they do in the movies. I noticed little, if any, difference. - Sense, Rage, Absorb, Protect, and Jump have no sound. While I admit these sounds [i]were[/i] annoying (especially sense), it just feels so wrong using force powers and having no audible indication that you're doing it. It's also trickier to time certain things, such as low force jumps, and keeping protect up, since you can't here when they're going to run out. - Push, Pull, Protect, Rage and Absorb are invisible. I'm going to go out on a limb and say "no". Push and Pull, sure, their graphics are annoying, but the other three should not have been changed. Firstly, you can't really say that's how they were in the movies, as they were never used. Secondly, I foresee a MAJOR gameplay disadvantage for people using this. Considering the fact that when an opponent uses one of the above powers, you either have to change your tactics or die painfully, then not knowing that the opponent is using isn't authentic - it gives unfair advantages to those who use them. - Stance names have been changed to proper forms. Well, seeing as how the five lightsaber styles in the game are improvised, and not based on actual forms of saber combat, then these names are now inaccurate. Considering these names are never visible during the course of normal gameplay, then I'm going to ignore this one. - Medium and strong stance colors changed. The medium stance icon is green, strong is purple. I don't agree with the purple, maybe that fits for Desann's style, but the green is nice. - Weapons sound like the movies. The mod includes a sound pack made by another author. - Main menu title is now "classic gold". Basically, it's had a slight color overlay pasted on top. - Fire and blaster fire is enhanced and more vivid. Again, I noticed practically no difference. - Shield in multiplayer is gone. Both good and bad. Good because the shield is fugly. Bad because it makes it harder to gauge your opponent's shield and health values. - Sphere effect in CTY is gone. Again, good and bad. It makes the Ysalimiri holder less noticable, but bad because you can't always tell if they're force immune or not when you're in the middle of a battle. - Red/Blue changed to Imperial/Rebel. Just a name change. This didn't need changing - it was fine how it was. - Team Energize, Force Grip, Team Heal and Dark Rage renamed to Battle Meditation, Force Choke, Revitalize and Rage, respectively. Another one which was fine as it is. Team Energize has nothing to do with Battle Meditation, they're entirely different powers, and BM is a rare ability, so it doesn't make sense having it as a common power. Force Grip is actually called Force Grip, not Choke. Team Heal, well, Revitalize is a decent enough name for it, although it was better as Team Heal because then you'd just *know* it was Team Heal, rather than having to associate the name. Dark Rage, well, this one's entirely preference. I'm assuming it was named Dark Rage in the game to clarify that it was a darkside power, as JK2 didn't color code, but technically, since it's an original power for the game, it has no 'canon' name, so can be called what you like. Call it Focus Energy if you want, it's still the same thing. ;) ------------------------------------------ This is basically a collection of what I like to call 'sixty-second tweaks', since none of them would take more than a minute to do. This really should have been released as seperate pk3s for each component, since some components are good, but there are more negatives than positives, and you'd really be hard-pressed to notice any difference. There is one major error which was encountered. Levels which are preceded by a cutscene or movie of any kind will return an error, kicking you back to the main menu. This seems to occur at random, so you might get it, but at the same time you might not. Still, if you want to tweak your game, here's a little pack which will do just that. ~ Kouen
as the author just used the flame effect that would be used in a map. But the fireball was certainly cool. It used the rocket explosion as the effect when it hit something, and it did look like a fireball. So basically what this could use is a different effect for the flames than what was used. Wait, there\'s more. The author included several different colors of flame in this, so have fun with whatever color of flame you want. But remember, you can only have one of the pk3\'s in your base folder at once! ~Zach

I can certainly say that it was fun to run around in single player blasting the crap out of the stormtroopers with Kyle\'s pistol. that bespin just [i]happens[/i] to be a gas planet. The closest thing to an ocean that it has is a molten metal core. To build on this, bespin doesn\'t exactly have the clearest skies. Gas planets generally don\'t have clear skies. Here\'s a suggestion. Make an island map set in the night time, and use this for the skybox. Last time I checked, bespin wasn\'t a watery planet with a clear sky. Also, since this overrides the default bespin skybox textures, all other maps that use those textures will be affected. ~Zach
flag. The transparency was really nice, and it added originality to it. The only thing that I didn\'t really like about it was the VX1 tag on it. The flag does not work in Jedi Academy. :( Next up is the saber blade. The author has replaced the core of the saber with a very interesting design. Upon further examination of the saber, there is a message going down the blade. Yep, you guessed it. VX1. Still, it\'s a pretty good idea. Finally, there is the trip mine reskin. I certainly liked this one the most. It turns the regular trip mine into a black mine with three red spots on it. (One for each corner.) I think that it looks a bit more stealthy than the default trip mine. But it might have just been me, but I thought that it also made the trip beam a little bit brighter than normal. But then again, I haven\'t played CTF for Jedi Outcast for ages. I tested this in both Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, and only the saber worked for both. But I have tried various combinations with putting the various .pk3s in my base folder but I cant seem to get it to work :S I couldn’t really tell if the NPC enhancement worked or not as I wasn’t able to select it or the Cheatmenu mod from the mods screen on the setup menu (the readme seems to suggest that I should be able to do that) :S However I did notice that the saber mod made things look much nicer :) I think that it added new spark effects when the sabers clash, and also it made the saber blades look thicker and nicer, because they were kinda thin looking before. I think it makes them look a little more like the Episode 3 style blades. All in all this mod is based on some cool ideas, and it does make the saber blades and saber clash effects look better. However the bugs could do with ironing out to make it really nice :) Good try all the same though mate. fire while also changing the lightning shot sound to a burst of fire, making it sound a bit like a flamethrower. Working just fine, it\'s usable, and it\'s likable, but it\'s not really fiery Force lightning as you would expect. I like the flame sound element of this mod but the lightning changed to fire just doesn\'t look like true fire. I\'ve never seen fire that exists in long strands of what I think look like \"fire beads.\" Up close, each individual one does look like fire, but the image of fire itself needs to be larger for people to understand; at a distance, they all just look like orange blobs. Lightning works when it is in long strands, for that is its natural form, but when you shoot strings of beads of fire, it is too controlled and not chaotic enough for the personality of flame. The Force fire, subsequently, just doesn\'t look very good due to these problems. What\'s worse is that the sound doesn\'t fit the image at all. The sound sounds like one full breath of fire oozing forth, while the Force fire itself are these silly little beads of orange strung together like lightning. Perhaps better advice to anyone is that just because something is orange doesn\'t mean it\'s fire. None of this really comes as a shock, I\'m sure, seeing how we\'ve had plenty of previous attempts to change Force lightning to fire. Some of them looked and sounded like fire, but painfully took down my precious framerate. Fortunately, the problems associated with this mini-mod actually result in one advantage, at least for people like me whose computers are just \"okay\": my framerate was just fine and dandy using \"Force Fire.\" That\'s a welcome advantage if you\'re willing to hear fire while shooting stringy orange beads. —Ra-Kom

please! Anywayy…This is a simple, yet very good looking skin. Its just a reborn, with chainmail, and a tabard. But it looks very cool. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best ;) That’s not it though…it also comes with…. A sword! A proper medieval looking two-handed sword. I love this skin and sword, its just the kinda thing I’ve always wanted, as I love medieval type stuff. Just a shame for me its only for JK2 :/ The only thing I didn’t like about this, was its face, looked like it had been painted with the English flag or something, and it looks a bit strange :S Would have looked better with just the default face, with maybe a scar on it or something. Also, it appeared to have team skins, but they weren’t any different from the regular, the icon could also be better, but oh well. On the good side though, it has bot support! So if you spawn enough of them, you can have a big battle between lots of Knights :) I love this skin/sword, and I really do hope you make a JKA version of this m8. Good Job! now got a red glow instead of a blue one. Doesn't suit me personally but its a change from whatit usually is. The console background has also been tweaked, now its rather plain. The author says this is because sometimes the console can be hard to read. Never had that problem myself but I can see why this could help some people. The other things that have changed are the 2 small HUD icons on your screen. On the left, there's now a 'square' of lighning surrounding your health meter. To be honest it doesnt really look right, especially with a black background to it. The same applies to the right hand side ammo/lightsaber meter. As for the lightsaber/ammo meter, well that's changed slightly more than the left one. Ammo will now be shown in read, but my favourite bit is the lightsaber one. It will now actually tell you what style you have on, represented by a word and not just a colour. May not be necessary for all people but will help colour blind people. The only thing left is the force power bar and the weapons bar (Where it shows you the weapons you have) this now ahs a red glow. Again, I'm not to fond of red glows and lightning, but Its a matter of opinion. And of course, it doesnt low FPS or anything like that :) ~Szico VII~

occasionally a saber mod comes along that has one or two modifications that I like. And with this mod, Saber X, you may find something that appeals to you. It\'s kind of a hodgepodge mod. All of the sabers seem to have a different width, glow or color. Personally, I like the first one that replaces the original blue saber. It\'s a softer blue with more of a glow. The second one there seems to have a thinner core and replaces the purple/pink/magenta saber. Oddly enough, the third one there that looks ... well, I was going to say white, but to me it looks beige ... replaces the red saber. The stereotypical girl might like the replacement for the orange saber - it\'s a bright pink. The one that used to be yellow (the fifth saber there) is now like, a purple/pink/magenta color and is very wide with a lot of glow. And the last saber there is supposed to be green, but is now yellowish gold, with an interesting texture. Do I like this mod? No. I like one saber in it. And even then, I only like it for the color. However, this is a saber mod that has a nice variety of colors, styles, textures, etc. So it might have something you want. :) ~AmosMagee Ps. It\'s very easy to use, all you need to do is memorize the hotkeys and you can play, pause, move onto the next track, etc. Personally, I don\'t like Winamp 3.whatever, so I use 2.81. This program claims to work for all versions of Winamp. At the very least, I can tell ya it works for 2.81. :D So like, if you need a program to control your Winamp while playing JK2 or JA, this is a good one to get. This is an exe, but it\'s been scanned for virii, of which I found none. :) Why this is version 2 and I can\'t find the first version, I\'ll never know. There was one little bug I encountered, which had to do with the interface. If you use your mouse to click on volume - or volume +, they kinda are backwards. But using the hotkeys, they work correctly. Other than that, I found no problems with this program. Great work! ~AmosMagee
after I did a comparison, I did notice a few things. In the standard animation, the character holds the Briar with just one hand. With this mod, the character uses both hands to hold the gun, which would make more sense, \'cause you\'d get better control over the weapon, right? Sure, why not! Also, the player will now hold the gun up-right, as if always aiming, always ready to fire at something. Maybe I missed it, but the screen also shakes a bit when the alternate fire is used at full power. In my opinion, I really don\'t see the need for this type of mod. Being in the heat of battle, I doubt I\'d be thinking about how cool I looked when shooting my Briar pistol. I\'d be more worried about just hitting my target. :) And besides, not many people use the Briar anyways. I would pretty much only use the weapon if I didn\'t have any other ammo for other weapons, or if I simply didn\'t have any weapons at the time. But hey, if you\'re a stickler for perfect animations, then by all means, this animation corrects the defaults. The default animation looks like me running around my back yard with a Super Soaker, back in the old days. ;) The new animation looks how somebody who is trained with weapons should look. Vegas troopers, very cool pack! First we have the hilts, which glow a pretty cool glow, either Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Red, and a default glow. Then we have a shadow trooper with a cooler black suit on, and it does not stop there! The Red version is really cool, looks like a computer with circuits and stuff :) Nice touch, then the blue model looks about the same, but with blue circuits :) Then the Storm trooper, is very similar to the shadow trooper, but still great job at making a plain stormy into something awesome, then the red model of this skin is again very similar to the last model but a storm trooper, the blue.. same thing. The Swamp Trooper is AGAIN very similar to the last two, but the red version instead has red speckles all over him, and the same with the blue, very good use of shaders for these mods! I will give this mod an 8/10 Very nice, I like the new saber hilts :) but next time try to make the skins allitle different from each other instead off all the same things, great job, keep it up! flaw I noticed, the animation doesn\'t take affect until after you shoot, then it makes the arm go a little higher and straight instead of lower and bent, this makes him also look sort of something like Superman when he flies :P. But however it does make it look sort of something like Han Solo when you look at the animation from the front of the model. This little mod is a pretty cool little mod for those who like the way Han Solo shto in that famous little poster from Episode 4, if you are one of these people, then get this mod! I will not be keeping this little mod however, I really don\'t like it. It was a good atempt overall, great understanding of the animation process, you know? But overall good job, 7/10 Keep it up! ~ReVan~

Then we have the skins, The Mist Kyle itself is a piece of Art, changed the old boring Kyle into something with nice red wings on his back! Then we have a new Jan, which is of poor detail, she now has a short Shirt and low pants on, and then she has a open part so you can see some well... Cleavage... Overall nice mod... files Revan, the author of this file submission brings to us. The game itself has some seriously beautiful art that came in box and out, advertising the game and so on. The art mentioned has been put to some very good use, as Revan has gone ahead and added it to the Main Menu Screen. What's more, it manages to capture the essence of the Knights of the old Republic theme. With the characters collaged about across the screen, this is one main menu screen that I'll be hangin onto for personal use :D One thing to add however, the screen kinda stretches a tad, but it's definately forgivable given the quality of the screen itself. The second part of the impressive three file submission are some different saber colors. Perhaps the more subtle of the modifications included here would be the changes made to the saber colors. As mentioned, they are certainly subtle, not a very big change from the normal saber colors but a welcome addition. The red colored saber imho is the color that shows the most difference from the normal color selection and the modification. The colors themselves are a nice change, not particularly vibrant, but if the author was looking to mimic the colors of the sabers found in the KOTOR game itself, he managed to do it nicely. Maybe my favorite part of this pack,(though that's up for a tough debate with the awesome Main menu screen XD) would have to be the Lightening modification. Gone are the bright blue's of the surging electrical charge seen when the darkside power is used. Now, they've been replaced with a whitened core and fainter outer glow. This change looks very much like the KOTOR lightening itself, the only thing is I've found when using this, is that when Lightening is used at it's maximum level, it looks a little more like a flood of icy beams shooting out. THat's not altogether a bad thing, it's different and it looks pretty smooth. I like these files, and personally I'll be keeping them. If you're looking to get a more "Knights of the old Republic" feel out of your Copy of Jedi outcast, well this is certainly a great place to start. With any luck we'll be seeing some quality skins from characters found in the game comming soon. In any case these files are a worthwhile download. spike is located at the center area, which makes the hud look finished. It is even better for mods that have 5 stances because everytime I would play JediPlus the purple stance looked red so I always thought I was using red, but when I tried this one it is much better to see. It looks a lot like the first version of his hud just BETTER! This is much better than most huds out there and I would say \'GET THIS!\'. Its an awesome looking hud, so mean and sharp. Its clean and it has no glitches. Caladien really has done it this time he made this hud better and better and I don\'t think any other hud can compare. Unfortunatly he said this might be his last file for JK2 because JK3/JKA is right around the corner. I recommend that people get this if you are looking for a new hud. animations, and you change the way the saber moves through the air, which means that you end up completely transforming the game. This might appeal to some folks; God knows that there are a ton of folks out there that love JediPlus for its extra stances and new saber moves and whatnot. Unfortunately, it just doesn\'t appeal to me. That makes reviewing a mod like this, while remaining completely objective, a very, very difficult task. So, here\'s my solution: I\'m going to look at this mod as though all that was changing were aesthetics; as if the gameplay doesn\'t change a whit. If that were the case, the mod\'s actually pretty nifty; the new blue stance has you holding the hilt high over your head (but DAMN, even [i]my[/i] arms were getting tired after a few minutes play); the new yellow stance is actually pretty close to the original (though there are some subtle differences); and best of all, the new red stance idle position looks like a batter getting ready to swing. The problem with the idle stances is that when they combine with the bow-legged look of the legs, things feel instantly out of place. Where as the split fore-and-aft stance of the feet seems to make sense with the normal stances, in the mod they look a little... [i]released[/i]... if you get my drift. The walking animation\'s been altered, so that, when you\'re playing as a male model, you no longer look like a transvestite; the feminine stalk is gone. On the other hand, the new walk looks like you\'re carrying a soccer ball between your thighs -- the design of the models makes it look as though the male models have hips, and males should NOT have visible hips. It\'s a toss-up; you end up trading one slight downside for another slight downside. The walk is admittedly, however, a refreshing change. Then there are the moves. Ahh, the moves. Annoyingly, all the basic swings and slashes seem to be identical to their base brethren. This is fine, except for the case of the red stance swing; with the hilt held in a batter\'s position, you REALLY want to start swinging at baseballs, and you just can’t. As far as the special moves go, you\'ll recognize them if you\'ve played JediPlus. The same thing goes for the rolls and JediMoves. The problem is, folks, that it\'s not just aesthetics that are changed; it\'s gameplay. The blue lunge is now a whirlwind attack, and the red is the same thing but has you spinning the other way around. Distances are modified, damages feel as though they\'re different; it\'s an entirely new gameplay experience. The thing is, it\'s almost TOO busy. There\'s TOO MUCH movement, TOO MUCH change, to feel homely. Instead, the sense of awkwardness just never seems to leave. But then again, that\'s just me. The bottom line? You\'re reading an undeniably biased review. So just download it, for God\'s sakes, it\'s certainly small enough. See what it\'s like for yourself. Like it? Great! Don\'t? Okey-dokey. Fine with me. this little mod is a text file containing all the necessary console commands. Personally, whether it\'s for AdminMod, Academy Mod, Base, or OmniMod, I prefer to use my own binding methods. However, the console command list is definitely a great catch, so download this if you don\'t really know any commands. - Chrono

mod that changes the glow around the saber blades to achieve somewhat of a layered effect. Each saber’s color is enhanced by a different colored core. My personal favorite is the purple saber with red blur core. Nice looking with this effect. The blades themselves look clean and little bit slimmer to me than the default ones. This also has nice custom sounds. They were also cleaner sounding, as if the saber were “thinner.” Author indicates that included is support for “Tck Jedimod.” Download Factor: Nice effects and no bugs in testing. As she so eloquently put it -- and I\'m sure I\'m paraphrasing here -- \"there\'s only about a million things you can say about a Reborn skin, and we\'ve done then all three times over.\" I\'m certain she was lying, but I was also a little worried: what would I do when such a skin came across my monitor? Let\'s find out. The very originally named \"Alttrooperskin\" (don\'t step in the sarcasm, folks) doesn\'t strive for all that much. It comes with two separate color variations of the Stormtrooper, both of which are direct recolors of the Stormtrooper team skins, evident by the obscene amount of scrapes and scratches that Raven threw in because they couldn\'t think of anything else to add. The very annoying thing about this little pack is that each .pk3 alters the generic white Trooper skin completely (in both single- and multiplayer), and they\'re incompatible with each other. In short, it means that if you have an insatiable craving for neon green or vomit orange on your Stormtrooper, you can fix the problem very quickly, but you don\'t ever get to see the white Trooper skin again -- unless you delete the .pk3, of course. The skins themselves aren\'t half bad, but all they ARE recolors. The author literally took each .jpg, pulled it into PhotoShop (or PhotoPaint, or whatever photo-editing utility you want to say he used because you use that utility, and as we all know, the utility that YOU use is the best), selected the ENTIRE IMAGE, and changed the hue/color saturation. For those who haven\'t used PhotoShop, it boils down to about 30 seconds per skin: a grand total of one minute for the development of this submission. In addition, one starts to believe that the reason this is a skinmod and not a standalone skin is because making a standalone requires the addition of botfiles and all that nasty stuff -- although, admittedly, that would disallow the skin from being used in singleplayer. Now, the author fully admits to us in his readme that this is his first skin, so I\'m inclined to cut him a little slack. The character portraits are okay (they aren\'t original, but are rather recolors of the original Stormtrooper\'s portrait, which means that they don\'t have all the scrapes in the picture that they have in-game), and the skins don\'t really look half-bad. Luckily enough, the only way you can really go wrong with a recolor is if you pick a bad color. Of course, I\'m still trying to figure out why he chose orange. The Bottom Line: They aren\'t bombs, but they aren\'t pretty gardens of flowers either. A new developer\'s first skin, and one that, due to the fact that they edit the original Stormtrooper completely, can be used in singleplayer. It\'s a very simple minimod, and it doesn\'t crash and burn in what it tries to do. I guess I\'m just starting to wish folks did more with their skins than recoloration and submission. Oh, and by the way, you now have your answer: you can review almost anything if you\'re long-winded and as uninteresting as carpet lint in the kitty corner. Who\'s up for round two? Also included are some new sounds which make the lightning sound a bit more...electrical, in my opinion. This is easily the best lightning mod I\'ve seen yet. I love the fact that it soesn\'t simply change the colors of your lightning, but rather changes its texturing a little without changing its nature. installation this mod is worth every millisecond of its download time. Like I have said numerous times it’s the little things that make me happy. I agree with the author that watching the video every time you play JK2 can be tedious and useless. you and he added another pk3 which changes the duel music to a dance version of Duel Of The Fates. The blades are redesigned in hopes of creating the same look as the AOTC saber blades. As you can tell by the screenshots I took the saber core is much wider then the originals. The TCK versions are added for those of you who use mods. stances for the most part to be very cool. The red stance is unfortunately that awkward over-the-head saber stance common to some of the other mods, but the rest of the changes were excellent. The back roll is more of a back flip, and the side-roll is a bit more of a cartwheel. While standing idle, the model moves as if he is breathing, which I found to be a VERY refreshing change. I found none of the modifications to affect my game negatively at all, and since this is strictly a client-side mod, no one else will be able to see the adjustments in your behavior without installing it as well. This is one of the few mods that I think I\'ll be keeping, because in spite of that over-the-head red stance, everything else is a welcome improvement. Astyanax
found the blade to be a tad thinner than the standard ones, with a slightly sharper point. Colors are a bit darker and more vibrant; for example, the orange blade looks more like real orange. The gradient is unfortunately ever-so-slightly squarish, but this is not noticeable for most of the colors. There are no sound updates, so expect to hear the standard JK2 sounds if you use this mod. Anyway, very nice detail on all 3 MODs: Flame Sabers, Perfect Sabers Ep2, and Enlarged Sabers. My favorite is the Perfect Sabers Ep2, maybe that is why the author named his saber pack that. Very nice detail on the Ep2 Perfect Sabers, they really do look like the ones from the movie. The Flame Sabers MOD makes the cores of the sabers look lke rising flames, very cool! And the Enlarged Sabers MOD makes the cores of the sabers really fat, not my cup of tea, but i guess it is for some of you. Yet again another great saber MOD by StarWars. Keep em coming man!

There's a way to use it as a mod in via the menu instead, so as not to have it on all the time, and I'll bet you it's easy, and it'll come to me right after you get this file, but I can't remember right now. You can always look it up on the 'net.
but Raven did not put them as a move in Multi Player.. so here it is :)! Basically it replaces the 'roll' animations with the butterfly and cartwheel animations. A must download!
