Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge

bos_sr_1.0.rar | 645.39 MB

of the Year Competition with Brotherhood of Shadow. Brotherhood of Shadow has since gone on to be one of the most popular and successful KotOR mods ever to have been released. After releasing the original Brotherhood of Shadow, Silveredge found that his urge for modding still hadn't gone away, so he began the production of a second Brotherhood of Shadow. Therefore, it is my pleasure to present to you here today, the sequel to the 2007 Mod of the Year, Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge. I was one of the few people lucky enough to be a Beta Tester for this mod, meaning I had a chance to play through it a few times before it was released publically for the community to download. This mod really does prove what can be achieved if you have the determination. This mod is extremely professionally done, and has been put together very well. It has taken the storyline of the original Botherhood of Shadow and revamped it, as well as adding the Solomon's Revenge portion. This essentially means you're getting two mods in one. This download contains the Brotherhood of Shadow, as well as all of its patches and updates, with the storyline alterations, as well as obviously, Solomon's Revenge. This mod has two things that the original didn't have. Voice Overs for main characters, and custom modelled area's. These two parts of the mod seem like as good a place as any to start describing, so here we go! The Voice Overs are very professionaly done, and are mostly of excellent quality. Kobayashi's voice in particular is very well done in my opinion, as it is done very professionally, and you could realy believe the performance that the actor was giving. Silveredge stated previously that Kobayashi would have a similar personality to Atton Rand, in Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, and I have to say the Voice Actor really did achieve that, along with Silver's dialogs. The other voice actors also did a wonderful job, and coupled with Silver's writing skills they produced a very professional and believeable set of performances. Kobayashi's as I said was the main one that caught my attention as being one of the best. That's not to say the others were inferior in any way, as all the voice actors did a wonderful job. The custom modelled areas in this mod were made by one of the most talented 3D Modellers that this community has ever had. He is someone you are no doubt as familiar with as you are Silveredge. His name is as you have probably guessed, Quanon. Quanon will probably embarassed to see me say this, but he really has done a superb job on these areas, and really does deserve his reputation as one of the most talented modders the community has. As you will see from both the quality of the area models, and the content that Silver has filled them with, Quanon and Silver really do make a formidable team. The modelled areas are of a superb quality, and look very professional. Quanon spent a lot of time on each one, working very hard to get them to look as nice as they do. Many was the time when Quanon and I would be having a chat via IM and he'd be saying how he was working on an area for Silver. Even before the areas were all textured and lit properly, you could tell just by looking at the models on their own how much work has been put into them. Quanon would send me a batch of renders every so often throughout the project, and I would give him my opinions. More often than not my response would be 'wow'. :p On top of the area's, there have also been a number of weapons modelled and textured by Quanon in this mod. You'll tell which ones they are as you come across them. ;) Inyri Forge also deserves a mention here, as she also modelled one of the weapons included in this mod. This weapon being Mandalore's Battle Axe. Incidentally, Inyri is also one of the people who leant her voice to this mod. She may not be active in the community here any more, but it's nice to know she'll still lend her skills to projects that other people are producing. The attention to detail in the areas is extremely good, as you can tell just by looking at them. 3D Modelling is an incredibly skilled job, especially to the quality that Quanon works to. Both Quanon and Silveredge worked a great deal on these areas and the content included in them. It's nice to see that people really will pull out all the stops to get the best result possible. Well done to the two of them! In addition to the custom modelled area's, this mod also contains a lot of reskins of existing area models, which were done by Silveredge himself. Skinning and texturing is one of Silveredges strongest skills, I feel. The reskins he has created for the areas are very professional looking, and have been worked on very hard, as is evident by the screenshots. He has obviously gone to a great deal of effort to produce these reskins and you can tell by looking at the screenshots just how much. Silveredge has also produced several item skins for this mod, mainly Jedi Robes and various armours. Some of these, such as the Republic Shock Armour, (which is one of my favourite skins from this mod) are not obtainable through the course of the mod, so unless you have a little knowledge of how textures relate to the models in the game, you're stuck with having to watch other people wear them. One of the first things I did upon completing the mod was set the Republic Shock Trooper armour texture to replace the texture of the default male soldier outfit, however. ;) I really don't want to say much about the storyline, as I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so i'll just say this. The dialogs have been very well written, and are mostly skippable for those among you who read quicker than the VO's speak. They are very professional, and have had as much effort put into them as the other parts of the mod, if not more, as dialog is the most important part of the mod, I think. Along with the main quest, there are also a few side-quests you can play, for a little extra fun. There may even be something nice waiting for you when you complete all the quests included in the mod. ;) The storyline of the mod has been well implemented, and the mod fits in damn near seamlessly with the rest of the game. The original Brotherhood of Shadow quest has been revamped, as I mentioned earlier, and is included in this mod release. I don't want to spoil anything for you, so I won't talk about any features of the storyline, apart from that it is very interesting, well put together, and well thought out. Without Silveredges imagination and creativity, this mod really wouldn't be as good as it is. To play the entire mod, side quests and all, you're looking at something like 6 hours game play. When I tested the mod, I took just over 5 hours, and that was with the turbo cheat on, to speed up the pace ast which my PC was walking. Without that, you're definitely looking at about 6 hours, possibly longer. You'll definitely need to set some time aside if you plan on playing through the entire thing, especially if you do it in one sitting, as I did. One of the features that impressed me most, was the fact that you get a lot of new Party Members throughout the course of the mod. They're only temporary, but its nice to see that Silver went to the effort to do it, to make the experience feel more whole. He could have just had the NPC's follow you around and fight on your side, which would have been a lot easier, but no, he went the full distance and had them actually recruited to your Party. To begin this mod, you must go to Korriban, after you have completed the Leviathan, and speak to the Rodian Drix Kellwit in the Dreshdae Cantina. He will start everything off. This is a very well put together, and well thought out mod, which has been carefully implemented, and constructed. Silveredge9 has worked very hard on this, as he did with the original Brotherhood of Shadow, and who knows, maybe he'll win Mod of the Year again this year? :p I'd just like to thank Silveredge, and of course Quanon, Inyri, and the various other contributors all of which were very well chosen by Silver, for making this such a fun mod to play through. I thank Silver for making this mod what it is, for inventing it, constructing it, and obviously for releasing it to the community to play. Silver has also said that with this mod, he is retiring from modding, which is obviously sad for the community, but in a way it's a positive thing, as he has achieved what he set out to do here. He has said he will be supporting this mod, and making and releasing patches and fixes as necessary just as he did with the first mod. Congatulations Silver for making it through it all. :p That's the main part over, the only thing left is a little bit of technical info related to the mod. The mod uses the TSL Patcher obviously, as there are a lot of files here which need to be edited/replaced/merged. However, due to the sheer size and magnitude of this mod, I recommend installing this mod in to a clean Override folder. I might even suggest going as far as a clean install of KotOR, just to be sure. Yes, that's a little bit of hassle, but it's worth it to play through this mod. If you have a save after completing the original BoS, there will be a few problems of you use it to play this mod. It would be best to use a new save, where the original BoS hasn't been played, so as to get the full experience. You do not need the original mod installed to install this one. In fact, it's preferrable that you don't have it installed. Well, that's it from me. Now it's just up to you guys to download the mod and play. Make sure to post back here and give Silveredge some feedback, it's the least he deserves for all his hard work. Enjoy! Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Marius

The Romancing of Bastila

basty_rom.rar | 83.49 KB

vicariously through a male Revan and his romance of Bastila Shan in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Now that the members of FileFront who visit KotorFiles on a regular basis that I have offended are going to take me to a back alley and beat the crap out of me, I would like to request to talk about this mod first before you do. This mod focuses on the romance of Bastila in the first Knights of the Old Republic game and about her unused dialogue that was left over in the game by BioWare. Some of the elements talked about in the previous paragraph are on this site with different sets of mods. What this mod does is combine those elements into one mod which uses mod contents from Master Kavar, T7nowhere, and myself; all used with permission and compiled by Darth Shan and Swfan28. You have the romance glitch fix, the enhancement of the visual kiss you can have with Bastila, a fix to Bastila’s mother so she isn’t wearing a Jedi style robe, and the opportunity to take Bastila on the planet of Korriban if you decide to visit the Sith planet before being captured by the Leviathan. Oh, and if you want to romance Bastila as a female Revan, you can with this mod. ;) Well, I pretty much covered what I needed to about this mod, so I’m going to go get a running head start and then you can try to catch me. One last thing – enjoy the mod! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. A Lost Sith in a Nameless World

ff_a_lost_sith_in_a_nameless_world.zip | 442.85 KB

right? It gives me great pleasure to review and bring to you a most intriguing mod by FrantFire. Basically you will encounter a new twi'lek character on the Unknown world beach; you may recognize her appearance, its Prime's excellent Darth Talon skin. A great deal of effort has been put into this mod; which certainly shows as you will gain extra dialogue and a small sidequest, the mod is also fully voiced. Which is a big bonus, as personally I greatly struggle with unvoiced dialogue. So if you fancy a bit of added content, which looks and sounds great; check out this mod! Be sure to read the excellent readme regarding compatibility issues and other odds and ends. Brotherhood of Shadow

brotherhood_of_shadow_mod.zip | 25.02 MB

of the Old Republic game. Well, if you are craving that personally, your patience has paid off. Silveredge9 returns to the modding scene with the biggest and greatest mod he’s ever assembled for the first Knights of the Old Republic game. The author also wanted his mod up as soon as possible, so I haven’t had the chance to play with it yet. I can tell you from what I see by looking at the file contents of this mod that the story explores Revan’s past from the time Revan and Malak join the Mandalorian Wars to Malak’s betrayal of Revan in depth. In fact, there is a female Sith named Matilda that is from Revan’s past before Bastila’s group of Jedi invaded Revan’s flagship while Malak opened fired on the ship to take the mantle of Dark Lord from his master. Well, this Matilda will join your party after the Leviathan since there will be a party member slot open. How that plays out on the Rakatan Temple when Bastila can rejoin your party depending on the choice you make is beyond me since I yet to try this out. The Jedi Council members on Dantooine have dark side looks to them and this will play into the storyline and even start a fight. This will include Master Vandar and I hope the author did not put flurry or critical strike as special attacks since the Vandar model does not have animations for those attacks so would look like he’s frozen in carbonite if those were tried to be used. It does however have the power attack. The Patterned Jedi Robes the author released well over a year ago has been updated and is include with this release. The original version was made just for females and this mod will include male robes to go along with it. For those who have been waiting and hoping for male robes, they’re here with this mod. There are so many new items with this mod that you’re in for a treat with just that. Some more good news is this mod does use the TSL Patcher for easy installation and .2da file merging/patching that is necessary for those without modding skills. There are a ton of screenshots to look at to get a visual of what to expect. I wish I could tell you more, but then again it’s probably better that I don’t so there is some surprise elements left to check out on your own. Let the massive download count begin! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. Tatooine Job Office

planet of Tatooine. Essentially the TimBob12 felt that Tatooine was a too mundane a planet so has sought to spice things up somewhat with the introduction of some additional things to do, as well as new items to find and new, relatively tough enemies to be fought. The player will be able to do this by conversing with a Jawa found in the Czerka Office on the said desert planet. he modification is very well executed and it is nice to see that the modder has had a few fellow modders beta test the mod for him to eliminate any bugs found in the modification. All in all this is a well executed modification, and if you were bored with Tatooine or just want to see some additional content this mod could well be for you! at the academy, and they are levelled so they get progressively harder as you fight; Vandar is of course the hardest! You access the training room from the computer console near the council and where you have to learn the Jedi Code. This is a very well done mod, and makes use of TSLpatcher for easy installation. Be sure to read the readme, as there are lots of helpful tips in there. Things to be aware of; "As you do get a chance to fight Master Vandar in this mod, it is suggested that you download and install the excellent Yoda Saber mod by oldflash. It modifies the lightsaber model so that it actually fits in Master Vandar’s hands like it is supposed to. It is not required but recommended to get the most fun out of using this mod." I think this is it; Yoda Saber mod Secondly a couple of bugs "We are not sure how this came about, but whenever the player uses Stun/Stun Droid on the Droids and Padawans, the next attack results in an instant death for them. Hopefully version 3 of this mod will correct this issue." All in all this is an excellent mod, and a wonderful addition to the community! Darth Revan Mod

darth_revan_mod_13.zip | 306.69 KB

one of those mods since I brought up the subject. It seems that everybody has their own version of how to do it in these cases. Link428 is making his FileFront debut and gives a unique perspective despite the basic idea is not original. What’s different about this one is the he gives you the opportunity to collect a Dark Jedi robe and a short red lightsaber when opening the footlocker in your room after Trask comes in telling you to get ready and fight the Sith. The author also warns you not to level up until you’re put into a position where you have to. That’s at the point where Trask sacrifices himself to Darth Bandon. What happens is you get to level up as a Jedi if you do that. The author also made it where you can get Revan items at the Yavin IV station. One of the files you will need to install to make this work is a module file that edits the module where you start your game at on the Endar Spire. This is when I would warn you to backup your original module file before installing the file in there, but the author provided an original backup to the file in case someone decides not to backup that file and not cry about it later. Anyway, read the readme and install. Enjoy! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. Lightsaber Forms for K1

be somewhat of a challenge or very challenging to help get an extra advantage. This was one of the many great new features Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords had to offer. What I think is great is when modders find ways to give those types of great features into the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Deathdisco is back. He’s the author who brought us the hit mod Coruscant – The Jedi Temple for Knights of the Old Republic II: This Sith Lords is back with this fabulous mod for Knights of the Old Republic. In fact, it was a year ago today that his Coruscant mod went up on this site. This mod that he gave us used to be on PCGM and we're glad he finally decided to upload it here. :) There will be seven forms you can use during game play now. Those are listed in the readme and what types of bonuses you get from them. To use them in the game, the author made them into armbands and those have the different bonuses that those forms gave you in TSL. Some of them require certain feats to use them. Information how to get them and is in the readme file also. It’s really self explanatory and there is a screenshot to give you a visual on how to get them on the Ebon Hawk after you get the first one after constructing your lightsaber. Carth the Cheater

carth_the_cheater.zip | 8.33 KB

would only be natural to wonder what in the world is this mod here. HK-42 brings you a mod with an added script with some new features when you are ready to leave the Endar Spire in the first Knights of the Old Republic game. What it does is spawn an inventory of weapons you naturally get after the events of Taris. The items are free which makes sense since you’re not going to have much cash on your hands after escaping the Endar Spire. It does make you wonder why Carth didn’t have any with him when you crash land on Taris, but that’s another issue in itself. So you make your way through the Endar Spire and finally meet up with Carth before the ship goes ca-boom! Carth’s in hurry to get out of there before that happens, but the author added new dialogue options to the conversation so that you can go into a merchant menu and select the items you want to carry around. This sure beats using the cheat console to spawn the weapons you want if you’re a type who would rather not do that for those who want more than the game gives you from the start. Enjoy! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Two Alternate Endings

2_altered_endings_101_.zip | 796.91 KB

all the story that goes behind it. There are two different endings; one is the light side ending and the other is the dark side ending. Wouldn’t it be something to have different options for each ending? *SPOILERS* will be mentioned in this review, so if you haven’t finished the game and don’t want to be spoiled, I suggest you turn back this page now. Besides, this is a mod you shouldn’t play with until you have finished the game at least once anyway. Kristy Kistic is back with a wonderful mod. There are two new optional endings; one for each different ending (one light side, one dark side). Let’s first discuss the new light side ending. The option you get here is to redeem Darth Malak. At the end of the game, Revan was redeemed and Malak mentions that he wonders what his fate would have been if their roles have been reversed. Kristy made it possible to not only save Malak, but to redeem him to the light side. This means you will see Malak with our heroes at the celebration presented by Admiral Dodonna and Master Vandar. Kristy even went as far as altering some of Malak’s audio dialogue to fit the new dialogue to redeem the Dark Lord. It really sounds good and it sure beats mute dialogue. Now let’s talk about the second alternate ending option. This one could get a little tricky since more conditions have to be met in order for it to work. This is the alternate dark side option which allows you to have Carth join your cause and actually be there with Revan and Bastila at the end. The conditions that have to be met is your Revan has to be female. You must romance Carth into falling in love with Revan. If you have successfully done this before, you will already know that Carth will show up by the Ebon Hawk after you defeat Darth Malak. This time you can convince Carth to join the dark side and rule at your side. If you wanted one or both of these types of endings in your game, Kristy has now provided that for you. Enjoy the new endings! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Darth Revan on Dantooine

dan_revan.zip | 16.37 KB

that Kreia believes to be important. Your last trial is taking on the Dark Lord himself; Darth Revan. Defeat Revan in the vision duel and you complete the trial. What if you could face the Dark Lord in a vision in the original Knights of the Old Republic game? If that idea gives you excitement, then you’re in for a treat. Gabor89 returns to the modding scene with a mod that gives you the opportunity to face Lord Revan in a vision. I must say that the idea is cool, but the situation is going to be a little awkward. You find Lord Revan in the Dantooine Courtyard by the Jedi Academy. Your PC finds the Sith Lord and when you talk to the Dark Lord, you have one dialogue option and you’re PC is freaked out that Revan is alive and saying how impossible it is. So a fight breaks out and when you defeat Revan, it’s not like a vision since the Sith Lord will become a corpse with goodies in them. There you will find 10 Advanced Medpacs, four Dark Jedi Robes (one black, three blue), two Frag Grenades, two Dark Jedi Lightsabers, and Darth Revan's Robes. That is why I mentioned this being an awkward mod, but it will be fun for people to play with and I think the goodies that are left behind is what will add some attraction to this mod. Make sure that you have never entered the Dantooine Courtyard in your current game for this mod to work right. Ebon Hawk Useable Supplies

ebon_hawk_use_able_supplies.rar | 7.14 KB

someone has been into the food supplies. You go and check it out and realize that someone has been in there and then you search the ship and find a little girl named Sasha. What about the idea of something you can get for your journey from that supply station? If that interests you, this mod maybe something you want to add to your override folder. Spiderbug2 makes his FileFront debut with a mod that adds more to the supply area of the Ebon Hawk. You will find things your character wouldn’t be expecting that could help on your journey. Things like a Jedi and a Dark Jedi robe, frag grenade, Krayt Dragon Pearl, computer spikes, repair parts, an Advanced Medpack, an Advanced Repair Kit, and a frag mine. Some of the combination of things maybe sort of contradict the Ebon Hawk like why would Jedi robes be there if Davik was the previous owner. I don’t think he would have left them there. If he didn’t realize they were there, who would have owned it that had Jedi connections? I can see a Krayt Dragon Pearl there because Davik may think they’re valuable. I wouldn’t take what I’m saying too seriously since a lot of item placement in the game doesn’t always make sense and modders in the past have done some interesting combination of things. I would look at it as more of the intent to give you things your character could use is all it is. If you find any of these items a use to you for your personal game play, then download it. Enjoy the mod! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

The Lost Apprentice

lostapp.rar | 1.23 MB

minor to enjoy while exploring the Unknown World created by the talented Marius Fett. Here is what happens. There’s a Dark Jedi on top of the cliff above the Ebon Hawk. Now, how he got there without be attacked by Rakatan, or how there are any living Rakatan around there since you do have to fight them is unknown to me, but he’ll be there as if nobody noticed him, but you. ***Warning – Spoilers*** According to the author, this Jedi is mad at Revan for abandoning the Sith. If I remember correctly, Revan didn’t abandon the Sith, he/she was attacked and lost his/her memory and is still trying to figure things out. It’s not like he/she could just go up to Malak and say, “Well, I’m back and that means I’m in charge again.” It’s just not that easy to do that. It makes me wonder if this Sith must have missed the memo or something about what really was going on with Revan since it was common knowledge that Malak “killed” Revan until he/she rose from the grave. Personally I would have went into the direction that if this Sith kills Revan, that Malak will reward him. Personally it would make more sense plot wise. Anyway, you have a chance to either calm this Sith down, or fight him. There will be light and dark side choices that will affect your alignment with this mod. Unfortunately the dialogue by this Sith is mute, but the author has stated that this mod shouldn’t be considered final as there is a possibility of having this Sith become voiced and recruitable. Maybe you all could give some insight in the comments about what you think. Oh, keep in mind that the author separated the contents of the mod in what goes into the override folder in two different folders. One is labeled override, while the author is the compiled scripts folder. Both of the folder contents need to go into the override folder to work. A suggestion to the author in the future is to have it all in one folder and keep the source files by itself for modders to mess with if they so desire to prevent people from coming back to the comments and complaining about the mod not working because they didn’t install the scripts. Anyway, enjoy the mod! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Dark Side Romance Resolution

dark_side_romance.zip | 959.08 KB

allow the Republic to destroy the Star Forge. The side effect of that is the PC getting destroyed with it, but it was supposed to be a sad ending. In addition to the aforementioned ending, there's now a plethora of options you have to deal with Carth. He can be mind-controlled to join the Sith, persuaded to join them (for several entirely different reasons), convinced to just leave, or as mentioned above you can listen to him and kill Bastila. Or if you managed to redeem Malak you can even redeem her as well (though you'll have to be using Kristy Kistic's alternate ending mod to do that). As you can no doubt tell, this mod adds a lot of new dialogue. For the most part, the writing is excellent and Carth is completely in-character. There's a few grammatical errors, and the new dialogue isn't voiced, but it's more than overlookable. I could definitely have seen the developers writing this, and there's a few choice lines for which I couldn't - but I won't spoil those. If you play a DSF Revan this mod is a must-download. I look forward to anything Strudel Man might later release. Note: Please remember to give the author of the mod feedback, as the download count isn't particularly verbose. Written comments tend to be much more useful and encouraging. -Emperor Devon

Cheat Bot

cheat_bot.rar | 5.55 KB

sometimes we look for new mods that make new skins just to alter the look of a specific character, but our most downloaded mods are ones that alter the game in a way that would be considered cheating. Just so you all know I’m not knocking it. Also keep in mind that I manage this place so that should tell you that I’m all for it as long as it adds enjoyment to your game. Mindtwistah returns again with another mod that really should add another way to have fun with your game. Apparently he restored some content, or something that was used for testing purposes when BioWare was making Knights of the Old Republic. What it is a Cheat Bot that’s on the Ebon Hawk. What it will do is change the planet you’re currently one. So if you board the Ebon Hawk, you can go to this Cheat Bot and just tell him you want to go to another planet and you’re there instantly. That should be useful if you’re doing a side quest that requires you to go to another planet out of the way from your main mission and you want to avoid a battle with the Sith ships that happens at random. Another thing this mod will do is add party members. Like you’re on Dantooine and you want HK-47 available after you get there. This Cheat Bot will make it all possible. Now this is a way to have fun isn’t it? Yeah, it’s cheating, but fun too. Heck most of us wouldn’t be here if we couldn’t cheat in our games. Once you beat a game, it will become boring unless changes are made to it to help replay value, right? Anyway, enjoy the new mod! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. Revan\'s Choice - Endar Spire

revans_choice_endar_spire_beta.zip | 5.16 MB

we need to find Bastila and get to the escape pods. Later Trask dies and you make your way through the ship and meet up with Carth Onasi and escape the Endar Spire just in time before it is blown to bits. Now, what if the story of what happens is changed? How about having another Jedi in your party from the get go to help you and Carth on your journey. This Beta mod by DarthJebus05 gives you just that. It’s based off of a mod called Revan’s Choice, which the author released a video of what the mod is about. This beta mod just gives you the beginning by making the changes just to the Endar Spire and of course you get to have a Jedi to help you out at the beginning. The storyline has changed a bit on the Endar Spire. You have to help this Jedi defeat some Dark Jedi before you get the chance to escape the Endar Spire and head to Taris. This Jedi won’t join you until after Trask’s death. This new Jedi does come with custom audio dialogue just like Recruitable Kay does. There are some special installation instructions with this mod, so please take the time to read the readme to know where you put certain files to make this mod work properly. Enjoy the beta mod! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Challenge Sith

planets you visit during the events of the original Knights of the Old Republic game to find a Star Map you need is Korriban. To be able to get a chance at access to the Star Map you need to find to track down the Star Forge, you must be accepted into the Sith Academy. Once you get accepted, you have lots of tasks you need to complete to become the champion and be able to explore Naga Sadow’s tomb to get the Star Map. One of the things you may notice while exploring the Sith Academy is other Sith students who are doing training sessions and practice duels. So what if you could actually challenge either some of the instructors or students to a duel and they would actually accept? If you would love to see that as an option, this mod is waiting for your download. Is there a specific Sith student or instructor that just gets on your nerves? If so then you definitely want to download this. If you are looking to duel specific characters like Uthar, Yuthura, Shaardan, Lashowe, and Mekel, I don’t believe that’s an option based on the files I see listed for this mod. That would be dangerous to the game anyway. Well, extra dueling practice seems like fun doesn’t it? Brotherhood of Shadow

brotherhood_of_shadow_1.05_patch.rar | 803.68 KB

Brotherhood of Shadow here; is how people can download the original and then a patch appears and for some reason each week the original with the bugs in it still gets way more downloads than the added patch. It would seem as if some people just don’t care if there are bugs because I don’t know how else to explain it. Well, Silveredge9 is back with another update to his hit mod, the 1.05 patch. There are two different fixes that come with this patch. The big one I would think is the new recruit, Matilda, speaking Bastila’s lines in certain situations. One of the things that I have noticed that people would like to be changed is making the dialogue skip-able and there was that hope that was included in this latest patch release. Who knows, maybe in a 1.06 patch release. This patch comes with the 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, and 1.04 patches so you don’t have to download the other patches if you are new to this mod, especially those finally deciding to download the patch for the original release. The TSL Patcher installs this mod for easy installation and the file merging and compatibility it does to make mods compatible with each other. Enjoy the new updated patch! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. Davik on the Ebon Hawk

davik_on_ebon_hawk_1.2.zip | 108.59 KB

Davik’s estate to steal his ship the Ebon Hawk and with Sith launch codes you stole from the Sith Governor at the Sith Military base. Originally Davik was killed when he and Calo Nord caught you trying to sneak away on the Ebon Hawk. Mindtwistah brings you a mod where Davik survived the attack and snuck aboard the Ebon Hawk. Of course he’ll end up being discovered and there lies the options of what to do with him. Do you let him live? Will you let him stay on the Ebon Hawk or tell him to leave? How about killing him and putting him out of his misery for good? That is what you are faced with in this mod. You do get light side points for letting him live and 10,000 credits. This update corrects an error from the original release that had a GFF animation problem. So for those who wanted that fixed, well here it is. A really interesting mod overall for those who are looking for something new to add to your game. Czerka Commando

czerkacommando3.zip | 2.74 MB

you play a game over and over again, you feel the need for something new to give the game replay value. E-varmint is making his FileFront debut with a mod that adds new content in your Knights of the Old Republic game. It’s one of those mods where you have a lot to do, so playing it in advance would take a lot of time for me to do right now, so how it will play out is something you’ll have to figure out for yourself. From what I can tell, the mod does start from the Endar Spire with 12 new modules to explore judging by his work. There is mention of being a banished Jedi in this mod, which almost reminds me of how the Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords game’s main character. ;) You have missions to help out Czerka Corporation in this game and there are new items to get. Make sure you read the readme about installing the contents of this mod. The author labeled the files in which folder they go into to help make it easier. It’s up to you if you’re going to follow the instructions. Please make sure you do as nobody is going to feel sorry for you for not following simple directions if you screw up you game. The True Sith Part One

the_true_sith_p1_beta.zip | 123.04 KB

The choice is yours as you have been warned in advanced. If you choose not to read this and think the mod is cool because of the screenshots you see, the game won’t end as originally intended. DarthRevan243 makes his FileFront debut with a new ending to the first Knights of the Old Republic game. After Darth Malak is defeated by Revan, Malak’s ghost is revived by the ‘True Sith’ and you must go to the planet of Jambiim and confront Malak again. This is one of those mods where if you want something to do after the original ending, you got one. This is just part one of this expansion of the game. This idea reminds of Darth Sidious in the expanded universe books when he would possess clone bodies and come back to life and Luke Skywalker and company had to deal with him again. Personally I think it’s just another way to drag out the game. If anything I would put a new plot during game play. There is a summary about how this works out at the bottom of the readme section of this release. Enjoy the mod! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Motta\'s Secret Love Story

mottathehuttlove.zip | 51.33 KB

find love in all the WRONG places. Mindtwistah makes his FileFront debut with this interesting romance mod for the original Knights of the Old Republic game. This one revolves around Motta the Hutt, who runs the swoop races on Tatooine. Yeah, nothing beats falling in love with a hutt, or should I say, a hutt who professes his love for you. The author gave you the option to confront Motta’s true feelings for you. The mod idea is sick and gross :r in a way, but funny at the same time. What’s neat about a mod with new dialogue that involves around someone or something :p that is an alien species is you can program it to speak its alien language so you can here some audio coming out of it. This would be an example here of making it work since hutts are one of those species in the KOTOR game. Well, if you find a mod that is sick and wrong :r amusing, you may want to give this one a shot. Afterall, we don’t always choose who falls in love you; we just have a choice if we want to return that love. Whatever it is you like about it, have fun with it. level of commitment is unusual, and should be commended. :) In modding, the larger the mod, the more bugs you will get. Sadly, that's just the way things go sometimes. In this patch, Silveredge brings us fixes to some minor bugs and also the occasional problem of the Shadow's conversation breaking off after killing his 'clones'. This fix also includes the 1.01-1.06 patches, too. Endar Spire Dialogue Enhancement

the dialogue and adding a few more dialogue options for the PC. On top of adding more flavor to the game, some of the dialogue options have been adjusted to add a small amount of dark or light side points. A little extra for those wanting something more tangible out of mods. You may notice that there are more dark side dialogue options than light side. This is because I believe in the Jedi teachings that the dark side is much easier to follow than the light. I might add more light side options in the future if I\'m feeling ambitious. This is my very first mod and took me a few hours so please leave me some feedback :)

for the first Knights of the Old Republic game, so does the number of bug reports continued to rise. Will this be the last patch? It’s hard to say since there could be more bugs to report or not. It’s a big mod with a lot of content so these patches are expected. Remember even both Knights of the Old Republic has multiple bugs and not even all the patches that were released covered everything that needed to be covered. Silveredge9 is back with the 1.03 patch that corrects many issues. The issue I’ve read most about lately was Bastila’s mother (Helena) not showing up in the Anchorhead Cantina on Tatooine. Well, this patch will correct that issue along with seven other issues that needed to be addressed. The good news about this patch is you don’t need the 1.01 or the 1.02 patches after installing the original release. Just download the original mod, then download this patch and everything is up to date. That will save you some time for those who are just getting this mod for the first time. This mod does use the TSL Patcher for easy installation and file merging and corrections that need to be made from the original release. Just follow the instructions in the readme file and everything will fine and dandy. that it makes it a little easier to go through and actually have fun in I welcome it with open arms. Anyway to get to the point, Vornskrs' Revenge, one of our newest additions to the Kotor2Files.com family brings us that needed upgrade with this new mod he has sent our way. It does look a little odd but when you think about it but when you actually get into the level... its still looks a little odd... wow I guess this is an odd mod. Well anyway besides it's oddness it is fun and for a first time area designer I have to greatly commend him for it.:D This mod does have some pretty cool qualities though , it definitely bumps up the number of enemies in the level and if that were not enough it will make you stronger for Taris... which means the arena matches that you can choose to fight will be a breeze! Really though I do have to say this is a pretty awesome mod to throw out for a debut mod. So Vornskrs' Revenge I want to congratulate you on making such an awesome mod and also welcome you to our growing family of modders. the crates of gizka got loose and that means they’re all over the Ebon Hawk now. Typically you have three choices: One – You can buy poison to kill them off. Two – You can convince Nubassa on Manaan to take them off of your hands. Three – You can just leave them there and they’ll eventually get off on the Unknown World. What about a fourth choice? Darth Xander brings us a mod that gives you that fourth choice that had me almost falling out of my chair laughing. You can EAT the gizka. Maybe you want to eat it Giz-KaBob style? dialogue. The most common problem I’ve been reading about is Bastila’s mother not spawning in the Anchorhead Cantina. Well, this has been fixed for good in this 1.04 patch release according to the readme. Other fixes are included in this very well written and detailed readme. I think we should all take the time to thank the author for all his hard work. Keep in mind that both Knights of the Old Republic games had to have patches released for download and even then they both didn’t fix everything, nor bother to fix it up some more like they should have. I’ve also seen authors make some great mods that have bugs and the authors chose not to make fixes for them, yet Silveredge9 kept at it and kept making patches for his wonderful mod, plus during this time kept at modding and release other great mods for your enjoyment. I’m really impressed with his diligence and hard work. This patch includes all the fixes in the 1.01, 1.02, and 1.03 patch releases, so all you have to do is download the original mod and then download this patch and install them in order and you’re good to go. This mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation; very useful for those who have no modding skills. Brotherhood of Shadow

Patch http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Brotherhood_of_Shadow;83032 Just like I expected, the Brotherhood of Shadow mod has been a very successful download here at KotorFiles. Reason being like I stated in the original review is that it adds a new storyline and the idea of doing a new quest will interest Knights of the Old Republic fanatics. In the history of mod making, I have never seen a big project like this to never have any bugs. There’s so much to keep track of that, especially if you’re doing it solo that you’re going to overlook stuff. This is why the TSLRP is taking so long to get released is because they want to release a bug free mod and I think it will be worth the wait. I’m very impressed how that project has been handled when I read the reports. Silveredge9 did get some help from Stoffe with this mod. Stoffe is an expert with KOTOR scripting and if something is able to be fixed, she’ll know how to fix it. Will there be other bugs to fix? We’ll have to wait and see. Just keep reporting the bugs you find and maybe another patch will have to be made. Maybe the author will release a final bug free version once the bugs quit being reported. The TSL Patcher is used to install this mod and will automatically fix what needs to be fixed when you run the installer. Make sure you install the mods in order; the original release, the 1.01 patch, then this patch. Enjoy the fixes! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem

Republic game. This new mod addition brings in Davik Kang, the crime lord of the planet Taris. As originally programmed in KOTOR, Davik Kang is killed when you two confront each other just before you escape Taris as the Sith are bombarding the planet. What if Davik wasn’t dead and he snuck aboard the Ebon Hawk and escaped Taris with you? If the idea of that comes to mind, then this mod is for you. After the escape of Taris, with this mod, you will find Davik hiding out on the Ebon Hawk. Now, there are many options you can do once you find Davik. You can kill him, let him live, or tell him to get off the ship. If you allow him to stay on the ship, he will give you 10,000 credits and you get light side points. This mod cannot be installed in the override folder because it won’t work there. You must install it in the modules folder instead. Once you’ve done that, you’re set. Keep in mind that you cannot at anytime have a current game going when you’re past the point when you escape Taris. You must start with a saved game anytime before you escape for this mod to work properly. opportunity to talk about it while uploading it to the site. This is one of those moments. Rancorman makes his FileFront debut by messing around with the Sandral Estate. That is where you rescue Shen Matale. Inside the estate, there is a Rodian that carries a new lightsaber, robe, implant, and gloves. The robe is not a Jedi style robe, it’s a Darth Revan hoodless model style with the Dark Lord texture. The lightsaber is a long red bladed; Darth Malak style. The other items will give you bonuses that can help you in your journey. This is the part where I would have never thought someone would do. Put a Rodian in a private home. Visitors are discouraged, let alone a Rodian that looks out of place. Still, the work behind this mod is good based on the fact that this is the author’s first ever mod. top of the Top 20 Downloads for the week. During this time the author has given us new updated patches to debug the masterpiece to help the mod run more smoothly and to prevent less cries among the community. Silveredge9 did release a 1.06 patch recently, but it seems as if the author overlooked a minor update in that patch so this is going to be the updated version of the 1.06 Patch. Hopefully nobody is confused after reading this review. I think the author described it as something to do with the dark side version of the Jedi Masters and the duel you have with them. Some sort of packaging error. The TSL Patcher will install this mod. Keep in mind that this release includes all the patches; so it’s an all in one type of deal. For those who have issues using the TSL Patcher, the author has included .2da files that you can install without using the patch. Unfortunately it won’t help with compatibility issues. Make sure you read the readme file. Enjoy the update! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. poll closes. Sure many other mods could deserve it, but Silveredge9 is definitely one of them as he has put together a fantastic mod that is beloved by many and the people have shown their appreciation for all he has done. Well, if you’re reading this you already know that this is another patch for the author’s hit mod. This 1.06 patch fixes one of the most common bug reported throughout the mod’s history. When facing off against the evil Jedi Council, people would report left and right that it would get stuck; even Allronix, my fellow staff member mentioned it to me one time when we were chatting on MSN that she got stuck there as well. This patch will fix that bug. There are other bugs that have been fixed in this patch that are listed in the readme file. If some of you are hoping to have skip-able dialogue in this release, I don’t think it’s here yet since I see no mention of it in the readme file. Hopefully that will be an update in the near future. ;) The TSL Patcher will install this mod. The author has it set up where all the patch fixes are in this release, so all you need to do is download the original mod and then download this patch. Enjoy the update! :D Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future. -Shem
