[/i]High Level Force Powers[/i] mod when I reviewed the contents of what this mod does by Star Admiral. You’re getting tons of new Force Powers to play with and if you need some changes in the way your character attacks with the Force in this game, this mod will give you just that. There will be a total of 18 new Force Powers added to your game. Seven of those will be lightsaber forms. The author does make it a point for those who do not understand how the game works that the new forms won’t change the way your lightsaber attacks in terms of the animation visual you will see as that isn’t possible for this game at this moment and judging by the fact that it’s going on six years since we have been modding this game engine, I don’t see that changing. The other 11 powers are attack powers – four of them over universal powers, four of them light side powers, and three of them are dark side powers. When you install this mod with the TSL Patcher, the new Force Powers will be available to use in your game. The screenshots will give you an idea of what cool powers you get to use to wipe out enemies. This mod also makes the three different Jedi classes more distinctive. The idea is very similar to the two mods I made on how each Jedi class enhances the specialty of what they do – for example like how Guardians will get more combat feats and Consulars will get more Force Powers. Read the readme for more information on what the author did with this part of the game if this interests you. No Force Restrictions

you’re a tougher kill, but you may not be able to use all of your Force Powers that you have in your arsenal. Darth_Cubsdude makes his FileFront debut with a mod that will remove the Force Power restriction that you get with some Force Powers in the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. Some aggressive powers like Stasis and Lightning are restricted by armor and you can’t use them against your opponents. There are some protection powers like Force Resistance that can’t be used with armor so your dark side opponents will be able to have more success using the Force against you. With the modification the author made to the spells.2da file, these powers now can be used with armor. The technique used by the author to make changes to the spells.2da instead of the baseitems.2da file is a new one for me, which also reminds modders that a lot of techniques have more than one way. That also reminds me that since this mod uses the spells.2da file that if you already are using the spells.2da file in your personal override, you will need some modding skills in order for this to be compatible with whatever mod your spells.2da file is supporting. Do not override it or something will get corrupted. If you know what mod you’re using to support it and want to replace it with this one, remove the other mod contents first before proceeding. provides that for the original [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. The author provides a new Force Power for you all to play with for KOTOR that you can get access to by getting to Level 19 in your progression. This is a dark side power naturally. If you look at the name of the power and the screenshots you can see why it is a dark side power. I do know that there are plenty of people out there that love giving in the power of the dark side, heck this new mod may convert some from the service of the light. Give in to the dark ways, you know you want to. :p Going through the description of the mod tells me that your enemies are in a world of hurt when you unleash this power. It looks sort of like Force Lightning in a way. It even poisons them if they survive the first attack. One thing that this Force Power does is come out of both hands instead of just your left hand like it usually does with Force Powers to give that overall look of more power. Multi Kill & Multi Plague

problem with how both Force Powers could be used. Call it an oversight if you must because even the best modders make mistakes from time to time. Anyway, these new Force Powers could be used against droids. Many of you that have already downloaded this mod may have noticed this. If this really bugged you, the author went back and fixed that problem to make it more realistic. For those who are seeing this or hearing about this for the first time, Lit Ridl (one of my favorite modders for both KOTOR games) has made a two new Force Powers to be used for KOTOR. Many of you are familiar with the Force Powers [b]Kill[/b] and [b]Plague[/b]. Kill will choke your enemy to death with the Force. Plague extremely poisons your enemy with the Force. The thing about each of those Force Powers is that they only worked on one enemy at a time. Both Force Powers really didn’t do much good when attacked by a group of thugs. If you ever wanted to be able use Kill and Plague on multiple enemies, this mod will do just that. Each Force Power is available when your PC or your Party Members progresses level 14. Multi Kill is an extremely powerful Force Power and when you download this mod, it probably will be the most powerful Power you can get access to in the original KOTOR game. I look at this mod as to add some fun when fighting enemies, especially when you hit a group of attackers that are pretty easy and you want to show off the power you possess. Those who are a big fan of the Plague power, this will really be a treat. Saving throws will still come into play so if your enemy is strong, he/she will make a saving throw just like with any Force Power in the game. Just so you know, Force Choking multiple people at the same time is possible in the Star Wars Universe, in fact it has been done in one of the Star Wars movies. In [i]Return of the Jedi[/i], Luke Skywalker choked two Gamorrean guards at the same time in Jabba’s Palace. So I say why not have the ability to do it in the KOTOR games? Any Spell Mod

Republic[/i] game. You know how you progress to higher levels, certain feats and Force Powers become available to use when you hit a certain level number? Well, what if that wasn’t a problem with Force Powers? What if there was no restrictions to that? You know how some feats and Force Powers require certain prerequisite feats/powers to get to the more powerful one? With if in your selection of Force Powers you didn’t have to select those prerequisite powers? Say like you just become a Jedi and you want Force Wave right away? Normally you would have to be Level 15, and have already selected the Force Push and Force Whirlwind in order to get that power. With this mod, you don’t. A pretty good idea to those who don’t have the patience to get to the awesome powers they desire. Now what this mod does now is use the TSL Patcher for easy installation and file merging. This is great for those non-modders out there. I know there are some people out there that don’t like using the TSL Patcher, but like to mod in certain things manually and that’s fine, that version will still be available for those types of people. have a game like Kotor you can act those Force Power out and make a truly awesome mod. So now to the point; Glovemaster our newest edition to the Kotor2Files.com family has given us a mod that I have to say really just looks totally awesome. This new force power as you may know is called [i]"Force Quake"[/i] but what it does is a whole other story. First lets go to the story behind Force Quake; the actual force power was a secretive Force power lost in the Old Republic's destruction and was said to only be revived by one whoes connection with the force could handle such an awesome power. Now what this new power does is it pulls energy from it surroundings and releases it in one spectacular burst of energy. If that were not enough to make you want to get this it also looks really cool when you use it! So I really have to say great job Glovemaster and welcome to Kotor2Files.com. Jedi Armors: No Force Power Restrictions

feature (in my opinion) is how well balanced these armours are. With most armour mods you either get some that are too overpowered or some that look good but don't have the correct stats. The author has done a superb job in maintaining balance while also choosing an ingame skin that is rather appealing to the eyes. What I think they are lacking is choice. You only get to use five types! Because of the simplicity of this mod, I was hoping for more varieties, it wouldn't have killed the modder to modify some more armour stats and include them. Although I must commend the modder for displaying where exactly you can get each piece of armour, for without this tiny bit of info you'd have to use 'giveitem'... but I guess you will all do that anyway, instead of waiting. If you do decide to make more mods, try and attempt skinning your work, it does add that personal touch to your work. You mentioned that you don't have Photoshop, that's ok, there are plenty of freeware image editing software available like GIMP etc. I look forward to seeing more mods from you in the future. Chained Force Lighting

of the Force after defeating his father, Darth Vader. It’s a power that people who practice the dark side of the Force can use. Only Darth Sidious and Darth Tyranus are the only Sith Lords in the Star Wars movies ever used this power. TK102 – The author who brought us the most popular utility mod in the history of KotorFiles (the [url=http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/KOTOR_and_TSL_Save_Game_Editor_English_Language_Only;68852]KSE[/url]) brings us a mod that will change the way Force Lightning is used in the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. What it will do is turn it into chained lightning. The change is when you shoot out Force Lightning, it will arc from one enemy to another and sometimes hit the same enemy twice. To get the best effect would be to have at least three enemies. Keep in mind that his only works with the Force Lightning power, not the Force Shock or Force Storm power. Those are still normal in the game with this new script by tk102. This is also an older mod by the author as it was created back on January 9, 2005. It’s only new to KotorFiles. Force Electrocution

game. This new mod gives you the ability to use Force Lightning on anybody as long as they are not party members or enemies who are trying to kill you. Do you ever have a conversation with someone and they just annoy you enough that you wished it was the game storyline to have the option to destroy that person? Well, with this mod, you can. I will warn you that make sure that the person you want to kill isn’t a plot point of the game and you need to complete a quest through them or you’ll screw up your game. It’s best to way till you have completed the plot point through that person before you kill them or you’ll regret it. Since this isn’t a Force Power used against an enemy, it will be in your non-aggressive Force Power list. It’s the place where like Heal, Force Speed, and Force Immunity will be at. The author is using the word electrocution in his title which is fitting because when using the Force Lightning power, you’re electrocuting your opponent. Force Power Resurrect

imagination with that talent. It is good to see him focusing on the original [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game for a change and boosting up its mod count here. This particular new Force Power the author has brought us is what he likes to call “Force Resurrect”. It’s pretty self explanatory by the name. To give you more detail on what to expect from this mod, let’s go to battle situation with you and your party members. If you’re taking on some tough opponents, you may have some of them knocked out of the fight. When that happens, you don’t get them back until the battle is over. What if you could bring them back from the dead before the battle is over? Now you can with this new Force Power. Just use it and they’re alive again. This is based of a Force Power that is available in TSL. As with tradition with the author, this mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation and necessary file merging. If you’re having trouble at times keeping your party members alive, this will be a useful power to have and bring in some of the fun TSL brought to us. Remove Restriction to Force Powers by Armors for K1

you\'ll know what this mod does. That is if the title was not telling enough. Anyway, my mod was previously refused because of the lack of screenshot. So I\'m being ironic: I\'ll send some while the pic servers are down. All you really need to know: armors wont restrict your use of the force anymore. This mod will install easily and will be compatible with force mods that don\'t modifies the same thing than mine. For information, it\'s in spells.2da (use kotor tools), column \"forbiditemmask\". Let me restate that I don\'t want comments on the concept. This mod DO remove restrictions, no matter what it does to the ballance. I did this mod mostly to be able to run the long distance without having to remove armor. If you feel like its cheating, don\'t use the mod or better yet, don\'t use them when you feel that you are cheating using them in game. Any helpful advice will naturally be heard in other cases than the above mentioned. Happy gaming!

of you also will once I describe what you’re getting. I can see this become a very popular mod. There are many of you out there that love to play the either light side or the dark side of the Force. You choose your path that you enjoy in the game. But there was always one issue and that is the selection of Force Powers. What I mean is there would be light siders that would want to use some dark side powers like maybe choke or lightning. The game is designed so that it penalizes you if you’re using Force Powers outside of your alignment, meaning it docks more points off of your Force meter. However if you use something like Force Heal as a light sider, you use less Force points because it’s in your Force alignment. Are you following me here? What this mod does is turn all of your Force Powers to be either light side or dark side powers. You choose which one you want to use. An example would be that all of your dark side powers like choke, lightning, and plague become light side powers if you choose all Force Powers to be light side. The opposite happens when you make all Force Powers dark side, like heal, destroy droid, and stasis. The only drawback would be if you make all powers dark side and you have two light side using party members (remember Jolee is neutral) having penalties using normal light side powers. You may want to cheat their alignment for the game to help counter act that if that bugs you. This could also be an advantage to your enemies since they’re dark siders and if you make all powers light side, they’ll really suffer using their dark powers against you. Four Force Powers

are the Sith. Some Force Powers are powers that can be used for good, some Force Powers are powers that are used for evil, while there are some Force Powers that are universal that are used by the Jedi and the Sith. My fellow staff member Darth InSidious returns to the modding scene to bring us some new Force Powers to play with in the first [i]Knights of the Old Republic[/i] game. Those powers are Rage (dark side power), Revitalize (light side power), Scorch, and Floating Lightsabers. Rage: This Force Power calls on the dark side and fuels your anger and strengthens you in combat. It is followed by Knight Rage and Master Rage. Revitalize: This light side Force Power will help you call upon organic party members who have fallen in battle to get up and start fighting again. This is followed by Knight Revitalize and Master Revitalize. Scorch: This is a universal power that calls upon the Force to flame your enemies. This is followed by Knight Scorch and Master Scorch. Floating Lightsabers: This also is a Force Power that helps you form lightsabers in battle. Knight Floating Lightsabers give you two lightsabers and Master Floating Lightsabers gives you three lightsabers. The color of the blade defends on your class. If you’re a Jedi Guardian, you get blue; if you’re a Jedi Sentinel, you get yellow; and if you’re a Jedi Consular, you get green. If you’re on the dark side of the Force, you get red. I kept the information about the Force Powers small since they are described very well in the author’s readme file. That is the place where to get more information about how these powers work and what level need to be to get those powers. Possible Bug: You could get this with the Floating Lightsaber power. What happens is instead of a floating lightsaber, you get a headless man whose texture is pure black holding the lightsaber. This only happened when I tested the mod. It works fine with Darth InSidious, Emperor Devon, and Inyri Forge’s games. We think it could possibly be a video card issue; meaning it may depend on your video card band on how this Force Power is displayed. The author designed it the best as he could to make it so that each body is invisible and so only the lightsaber is shown. So if this happens to you don’t be alarmed as the author has no idea on how to fix this. This actually is a reason why this mod has been delayed for the past several weeks. The TSL Patcher is used to install this mod. Unless you’re a very advanced modder, I would suggest you use it to do the work. Possible problems you could have if you try to manually install this mod could even lead to problems even with tk102’s KSE program if things aren’t installed properly because it edits the dialogue.tlk program. I strongly suggest letting the TSL Patcher do the work so everything will be fine and dandy. the seven lightsaber forums to K1, very craftily Star Admiral has done this via Force Powers; which actually I think makes sense, and he has made them two tiered so that a mastery of the form can be shown. Star Admiral has also edited and rebalanced the classes, more in line with the way they are organised in TSL; which I again thinks make sense to quote the modder; "with Guardians/Soldiers getting the most feats, Sentinels and Scoundrels getting the most skills, Consulars getting the most powers, and Scouts being the middle-of-the-road non-Jedi character" - What this means is more skills, feats and powers are granted through the game, and depending on which class you are, which I'm sure will be popular. Finally the modder also, removed the class-skill restriction, which I always though silly as well as adding health regeneration; which I'm sure is a welcome addition to many of you. If you want to know more changes in depth be sure to check out the readme! One suggested improvement would be to make the lightsaber forms 3 tiered, instead of two,all in all this mod comes highly recommended by me! Force Dispel

submission for today is an idea that only comes from people who truly think outside the box. The author likes to refer to it as the Force Dispel mod. What this does is deactivate any Force Powers that are set on timers. If you’re not catching on what I’m talking about let me explain with more detail. Ever used the Force Immunity power that makes you immune to Force Power attacks? Notice that the power lasts for I believe it is 120 seconds. Let’s say you finish your opponent off quickly and you want to turn it off early. This power makes it possible. Force Speed is another one that it can be useful on. It’s good to use in combat because of the extra hits per round you get on each attack and you can run faster too. The thing is if creates a blur affect when running around that some people don’t like. I believe the power lasts either 20 or 30 seconds. I don’t feel like looking it up right now, but you get the idea. If you want to turn that off early because your opponent didn’t have fighting chance and you finished your opponent early; again, this makes it possible. The mod uses the TSL Patcher for easy installation and necessary file merging in order for this new Force Power to work. idea for a mod I foresee to be a popular mod and will probably be requested for TSL by some people. When I looked at the screenshots, I was blown away at the site of it because of what I was seeing. You know how when you pick out some Force Powers, you have to be at a certain level in your progression to be able to select it? Well, that feature has been taken away. You also can go right to the most powerful of the Force Powers without any of the prerequisite Force Powers. Let’s examine the Force Push. You can get that at any level, but you have to wait till Level 9 to get the Force Whirlwind Power and Level 15 to get the Force Wave Power. Well, once you become a Jedi, no matter what level you are at, you can go strait to the Force Wave without selecting the Force Push or the Force Whirlwind Powers. The only hang up with this mod is that it uses the spells.2da file and the author did not use the TSL Patcher. If you have no skills in editing this file, and you are using one in your override folder, it will mess something. So be cautious when installing it.
