released the first sp adventure to the Wolf Community..simply known as Tomb..now here we are months later and we have a full blown adventure. Tomb expanded over the weeks with new segments added every few weeks.Finally after Tomb4 was out,the team took a break and we skipped to Time Gate 6..so what happened to part 5? After a bit of head scratching and trying guess how tomb4 went from underground zombie battles to part 6?.. and now I'm fighting the Germans in a close replay of the original sp game's village level. Oh well I thought,let's give this a try,so I played thru to a new area of icy cold terrain that lead to a cable car area.Right when things started to get good..BOOM..Game over. After a bit of frustration,and a few more weeks waiting..Time Gate has arrived. Now after bringing some pretty good sp play to the community,Priv has returned with help! pals BBald and Vondur The new Time Gate has reworked the 4 original segments into..now the missing part 5 that ties into the previously relesed demo part 6. Now are we confused? it's kind of like watching the Star Wars movies if you were around when the originals were released..now we go backwards years later and see how things got started. Ok back to TG {Time Gate} Priv has reworked those original levels..they were really dark,and hard to see,into a very welcomed more lighted Tomb. The game now has an opening cut movie sequence..that show's our character arrive in a dig site in Germany 1995,and then descend into the original Tomb1 level. Now we're off... Tombs 1-4 are dark spooky and have some really nice original maps and designs.The tight quarters in some areas are a nice change from time to time to backpedal away from the oncoming enemies. It's also now nice to see how Priv's mapping got better and better as each new level progresses in the Tomb series of the TG series. The supplies are a bit hard to run across in the beginning levels,and you really have to move about to avoid the oncoming flying skulls..the zombies toss at you. I was really impressed with the look and feel to being way underground and secluded thru out the whole 4 series map pack,the tall winding stairway that spirals up to the level above brings back memories of classic "Journey to the Center of the Earth" movies with the caves and crystals you'll see. There are some hard to find lever devices you need to find to advance thru barred doors,some are in the room you occupy,and some are hidden not on the walls but where you least likely will look. Once you finally make your way thru the 4 part Tomb series you come upon the game's title character,the Time Gate itself,a huge circle of metal with blue sparks..a bit of Stargate movie/tv series was here as inspiration I presume :) huh Priv. Once you step thru,you see another cutscene movie,that's actually now,the then missing part 5..our character is told that he's back in WW2 and the only way back home is to locate the Time Gate portal of this era..oh by the way,the Germans are in possesion of the WW2 era gate and a familiar character is running the project..but you'll have to play thru the missions to see who it is! Part 6 is now underway,you do replay the original release that was out before this new improved version was released,but after you get to the cable car area that ended..it continues on! To those that have played the mp_tram map,this will be a bit familiar and you just know that along the way,your going to run across an ill tempered German when you arrive on the other end. The 12 total segments that comprise the TG series are really well put together,I was really impressed with the detail of the upper cable car station,the areas that were above the station were a real treat to move about and take apart the enemy. Each new level you progressed thru looks really well planned not rushed and hurried to get you on to the next.Each new level smoothly blends into a new style of map.I was really impressed with map 9 the snowy cold atmosphere following the train tracks to it's new location. As to weapons and enemies YES they all do make appearances from the lowly mechanic firing his Luger to the Final version of the "Super Soldier".oh yea those black leathered "Elite Babes" are in for the kill too :) The balance is well done the game will give you an advantage from time to time,you face off against a lone patrolling guard and then later you may face overwhelming odds..but you do want a challenge right! First aid and ammo were set in all the much needed places after an intense firefight. If you love single player maps? then take the time to download this one. If your wanting to take a break from multi..then this is the answer. Hopefully this now 3 man team might seek out some added help and expand the team and bring us another fun sp adventure!! Det Pak

most brave and experienced men of the Allied Forces of World War II. You are given only the most dangerous of assignments, and this time they have found something really appropriate for you. They are sending you on a special Covert Operation far into Nazi occupied territory. Alone, you will have to penetrate a hidden Nazi stronghold, going only by the name of the 'Outpost'. Your main mission objective is: To locate and eliminate one of the Nazi legion's most dangerous leaders. An officer who survived the fall of Castle Wolfenstein. His name is Oberst Bertrand B. Vorsichtig." Here's a really well done single player adventure,the story is a bit of a sequel to the original RtCW sp,but a new adventure in it's own right. BJ has been promoted to captain,and has a very tough assignment,going into the heart of Nazi territory to eliminate a surviving officer that is attempting to pick up the work left off by Deaths Head from the original game. The mission opens as BJ is taking a boat to the very secured area which Vorsichtig is working. Tef Johs has created a very familiar feel to the game,but has also not in the least copied or cloned any of the original adventures ideas or terrain. A very military feel is attached to the opening levels,no zombies,warriors or the occult are involved. The game is set to the toughest levels by default,the German AI is very difficult to kill.Armed with only a colt 45 and knife at the start,you'll have to really earn that first dropped MP-40. Once the game gets going,you better remember where the quick save button is..you'll need it.BJ will take on some very tough situations,entering rooms outnumbered,and facing overwhelming odds..I loved it. Each level will require you to complete certain objectives to progress onto the next level..and Tef has tossed in some secret areas,so keep your eyes peeled. Technically the maps are smooth and not quite linear,you'll have to move around and sometimes double back to move on. Locked doors requiring access will have you searching other rooms for that elusive lever to be pulled..reminds me a bit of the original "Tomb Raider" series..go backwards to go forwards sometimes. Without giving away to much plot or surprises,Tef has made an excellent combat feel to the adventure,and it'll require you to stop and think before rushing in to face an unseen enemy behind a newly unlocked door! Also stop and take note to the excellent mapping of the offices of certain German officers,Tef has custom made typewriters,PA and intercom systems and extensive custom modeling in the later "Lab" areas,no new sounds are included..Drats,I'd loved to have helped in that dept :) but Tef has reused some of the original game's in new places and done some fancy editing to the German conversations,changed them up a bit,yea we heard those lines in the original RtCW,but not quite in the same way.Most all the weapons will be made available as to enemies your familiar with. Does the game have any bad points...well yea,2 things that could of been better. 1) Doors swing inwards towards you,and really made moving,or escaping difficult in comabat situations,and second,the meeting with Vorsichtig wasn't really built up,I had killed him,and the game was over..and I had no idea it was him. But take the time to download this treat,and take time to E mail Tef as well and thank him for the months..yes the months he spent to put this together. if you need those elusive cheats or want to get past the opening scenes feel free to E mail me,I don't want to give away how to do it here. Tef I hope you can eventually bring us another sp adventure! Det Pak

I, myself, just started playing the stock single player again a week ago, (as it never ceases to amaze me, for the age of this game) having played just about all of the SP maps and mods out there for this game! ...But now, I have a new interest! Introducing [b]Operation Trondheim: Iron Cross[/b], which is the third part in this series! (I remember some comments on the whereabouts of this version, here you go...) This is a Russian mod, which first made it's debut way back, and sadly, I had never heard about it until it recently showed up in the email...but, because it is Russian in origin, it helps if you're fluent in the language to follow along, however, it's workable if you're not. Some background story to set the mood: [i]“June 23, 1941 at the Norwegian coast, was ordered off the English coast, which is the port of Trondheim, a strategic unit for the soldiers of the German forces. The value of the port was Lokatore, which German intelligence diverted all Allied movement in the northern seas. The situation worsened the night of 24 June, when some Trondheim emerged nejdannye guests: Spec. Troops from the Soviet Army, very few thugs for the sole purpose of seizing codes shifrovok any price, even if in the face Allies. Conflict broke out between the three forces-Russians, Germans and the British is the only of its kind, in the history of the Second World War! Adam Stec-Private, which is less than two days a hero Fashistsky Germany. Thanks to the courage and dedication of Adolf ideas, he alone was able to preserve Trondheimski radar and realized early arrival of standby troops to counter attacks."[/i] A definate must have!

II battle for Stalingrad (Now known as Volgograd). A troop of 57th infantry division stayed behind in the city after the Germans had tkaen it over. A few soldiers led by Gennady Lukovoi continued to deliver diversional strikes in the city and nearbyvillages which was very damamging to the German military machine. After a few months Lukovoi was captured by Germans. He was liberated in 1945 by Soviet troops, but charged with being a traitor in 1947. He was executed by shooting on November, 12, 1947.

This was made in about a month\'s time on and off and was mostly created to 1) Learn a little about single player mapping 2) Take a break from working on DeGeneration 3) To find inspiration 4) Look for kewl single player features to possible incorporate into DeGeneration. This is nowhere near perfect, the AI aren\'t completely tweaked, the second map makes no sense in the scheme of things, I didn\'t do any optimization in terms of cluster portals, only two people have tested it, and it\'s a bit hard from what I\'ve been told. I\'m simply releasing this in the hopes one person might have fun with it and also to release the source so that people might learn from it...hopefully something good lol I\'d had to give people any bad habits haha You\'ll find the .map files in the maps folder inside the .pk3. On the last day I worked on this I said: I\'m stopping now since I have to get back to my other projects. Next time I revisit single player mapping I\'ll make something much better. ================================================================ * Story * THE CHALICE Classified TOP SECRET Codename: Treasure Chest The Germans have discovered a Chalice wielding strange powers in the crypts to the East. We do not know the full ramifications of this discovery, but nonetheless we would like you to check it out and see if you can recover this item. You\'ll have to move quickly. There\'s no doubt they will dispatch scientists to inspect the artifact and determine its worth. We can not take the chance of this happening. The passages you\'ll have to infiltrate aren\'t well traveled and the exact area where they are keeping it is unknown. Based on information from villagers the markings on this rough map should show a back way in. Once inside you will have to dynamite the upper level to gain access to the lower one. The only other way would be the front entrance over the mountains. Don\'t worry. With all the demolition the Germans are doing down there they won\'t even realize you\'ve arrived. graphics aren\'t very good. There is no story and the name of the map temp(orary) implies that this map actually was only supposed to be a temporary map, with a sole purpose of learning. The map however just kept growing, way beyond a simple test map. Creating the map and especially the scripts were a real challenge. Building the map with gtkradiant wasn\'t so difficult, however the mapscripts (elevator, ...) and the ai behavior took quite a lot of time, especially since the information about this was very scarce. It took me quite some time to complete, but I had quite a lot of fun creating it. I\'ll probably upload the map in the nearby future, even thought I doubt that there are (m)any fans of the singleplayer of rtcw around these days.

this maps. In \"Offlag\" you will be required to use different tactics, ... and choose your weapons wisely, depending on situation. Each drop of your blood will be precious so running on the enemies hoping they will miss you will be stupid. You will have to think... and plan your strategies! I scripted enemies so they can have much freedom to make its own decisions. Levels are now even more \"independent\" and you can play them several times and each time you will encounter different configuration and strategies of enemy. This is specially enforced in level 3 and 4. Reach in natural environment scenarios and detailed maps and are very important to me. This is why you may find \"Offlag\" series to have heavy toe on your computer if your processor is under 800Mhz and you have not the best video card. Computers evolve very fast but mapping takes long time. This is why I try rather make more complex maps instead of maps low in detail that may be nice played on some old systems now, but in one year will be too odd and empty. I will recommend minimum processor of 800Mzh. with full multimedia support. Your video card MUST be AGP, OpenGL compatible and should have minimum 32Mb Ram. Personally I love GeForse cards. My GeForce2 Titanium card although a bit old has 6.4GB/sec memory bandwidth 64Mb DDR memory and handles 31M triangles/sec. This is far more that you need to play those maps. Because 3 of 4 maps are outdoor maps you may encounter height polys. \"Top\" visual places can have as much as 38.000 polys. Official map \"forests\" I believe have about 24.000 at maximum.

This is a short adventure taking under an hour to complete. Bill Brown's music accompanies the game, the leather clad nazi babes make their appearance mid-game so be careful with their black outfits in the night! The game's main battleground is a custom castle,containing the resting place of Wotan. Overall a good single player map,and worth the download! "flipmode" is cranking out some nice work..so give this a try! Reviewed by Det Pak

Objectives: 1.Eliminate Quartermaster 2.Power Antenna Repeater 3.Escape Now, I am not German, nor do I speak it, but I knew that Kreigsmarine meant submarine. The thought of going undercover on a submarine is similar to a mission out of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault however, the objectives on this are quite different. This seemed like a lot of fun to do. I began in this small room with ammo in a corner. I proceeded out and was looking around the room. I wasn't paying attention so this guard came up to me and killed me. Now the readme states that the AI is "a little hard". Now this is not by any means a criticism, but I was killed over and over again. I am not very good in the single player portion of the game for some reason, so I had to play again and again. To a more experienced player this mission will probably seem easier. I have to learn to aim more towards the head. Once I finally moved on beyond the first two rooms, the game got interesting. You need a combination of hits and dodging to get past the guards. You will not be completely overwhelmed, but it does have difficulty, which in itself is good, because no one wants to play a game that they beat in a day. I don't want to say too much and spoil the surprises that this SP map has to offer, so I give my recommendation to everyone that this is a very worthwhile map. I personally wish there was more ammo and medicine around but that's because I'm not very good. Paul AKA Madmanfrommars

I personally am a fan of single player missions and after playing remarkable efforts like "TimeGate" and "Operation: Vorsichtig" I'm skeptical on efforts to top them. Flipmode hasn't quite made this adventure as long as the 2 previous mentioned sp adventures were..Yet. and yes the door is open to a sequel..or should I say the timeportal is open for more. Taking the basics of the original game and creating a new enviroment is the map's overall biggest treat,this isn't a castle or crypt or even Europe! The skies are red.What has happened to the earth in the interval between 1944 and 2044? Perhaps more details will be told in the next installment. New skies and some nice "Quake" like enviroments abound from the start to end..well you'll see. The Sten silencer is the main weapon of choice here,and health pickups are few and far between,also be very careful with ammo,I found myself once totally without. Also take time and check out the custom designing and the wickedly nice futuristic "Wolf Logo". I certainly hope flipmode continues this adventure! Review by Det Pak

Public level test before final release. The following bugs have been noticed to date. Some soldiers seem to be waiting because one soldier is dead and blocking the way. You may get to break some secret walls that were meant to be broken only by trigger. There are zombies, but not in the normal game play. Depending on the final size this should be a 3 levels chapter. As far as i can tell there should be enough light in the level. -----------------Please--------------------------------- Save and save often. If there is a multiple directional corridor go into one branch at the time, if you peek around both directions, you will call in more enemies that you could handle at once, if this happens run away or take cover. When in doubt if jumping or not SAVE your game. When in doubt if enter or not a strange place SAVE your game. If you happen to experience a weird bug while reloading your game, next time try saving your game facing a wall. (with the lower FPS on screen) I didn\'t happened to me, but just in case. [/quote] Here's a nice single player adventure,which once again you take to combat as BJ. The game starts out in enemy territory as BJ fights his way into the heart of the German defense in search of the German U-Boat radio decoder machine "Enigma". The maps are solid with bug free play,the AI enemies respond well and make for some tatical decisions to be made.Moving on to the next map segment isn't a simple passing thru the door,a nice addition to the game called Looking around for a hiiden switch etc is tossed in. The maps are pretty standard in design,but designs and layout are original. Familiar characters from the original game make appearances and most of the original voice scripts are repeated,but with new scenary. Overall SP fans will enjoy this.I certainly did. As to faults,none really in mapping or scripts or on the technical side,I would have thought BJ would have been a bit more equipped on the start of his mission,no grenades or American weapons,but then again maybe we just pick up BJ during a short handed moment? install this pakage, simply copy the directory \"Phm\" in the Return to Castle Wolfenstein-directory. The new directory should be in the same level like \"Main\". it, you will have to enter into RTCW menu and then bring down the console (hit the tilde ~ key which is located below the Esc key) and type in /spdevmap tomb1. [b]Review[/b] This map is alrdy a must get just because it's the first ever RTCW custom made singleplayer map. And it's not a bad one that's for sure. It consists of a small 3 map sp "campaign" A modern look is given to the map, and it is actually done very well. I'd even say the atmosphere is better than RTCWs tomb maps. It's also very dark, and has less enemies than the official maps. Which adds to the effect, it's dark, foggy and rather scary. The architecture is very good, proffessional, arches, gothic architecture. Problem is it aint varied enough, you pass trough areas which look like the one you just passed trough before, I think there are 2 or 3 halls there with little difference. That being pretty much the only flaw I could think off. As everything else was a sweet trip. I cant talk much about all the small surprises you'll encounter as it would spoil it. The darkness gives the maps a really special, ancient feel. It looks like the axis once tried to invade that place, or perhaps there was a war once there between 2 sides ? Who knows, but you wont go there with weapons that's for sure, all weapons/items you get is what you find from skeletons, a submachine gun a knife, some grenades not much ammo either, though you tend to have a pile of ammo at the end of it, nevertheless the fact that any of the weapons you have aint very good against your only enemy makes even the few enemies you'll find a nice challenge. I know I promised not to spoil anything big but there's also a gun emplacement, and it was a blast. Jumping behind that machine gun and opening fire on the zombies. Though you had to stop from time to time to see if it's alrdy dead or not, but seeing it's still coming was just perfect. I wish the official sp maps would have had these cos you wouldnt have made a difference. Quite often you didnt even see the zombies coming, you heard it perhaps breaking out, you might even hear some noise, but all you really hear is the sound its limbs make dragging on the ground. And when you finally see it then it will be a surprise, lighting up the area and its face with your mp40 fire. Actually the only lights you'll see during these levels are the 2 lamps at the end, and they just aint there, there's even a story behind that, perfectly fitting into the area. It aint easy to describe the atmosphere you just have to play it and find it out for yourself. The ending actually seemed to hint that the campaign will continue, and if not then I certainly hope it does *hint*author*hint* Basically only thing what keeps the map away from getting a perfect score is the fact that it could have been a bit more varied with the areas and that the readme could be better with its instructions. But that's only a small thing compared to all the pros it has. Again, a must download!
