The patch includes a number of important fixes and some new features. A list of the improvements and fixes is provided below. To determine your current version, run either the Single Player or Multiplayer version of the game. Bring down the console (by holding Shift key and the tilde (~) key in SP, or just the tilde (~) key in MP) and look at the version number listed in the lower-right corner of the screen. The original shipping version will show 'V1.00'. If you have this version, you should install the patch. Once correctly patched, the game will register 'V1.01'. ========================================================= [u][b]Issues Addressed in Patch 1.01:[/b][/u] [b]Single Player:[/b]Fixed rotating brushes to load/save properly. CSS Italy
you hate Italy because of the roofing? Problem fixed, this version has no acces to the roof. Disapointed? Go try the CSS Italy Fun Version, with this version you can acces the roofs and a few new areas have been added too. So this file has two maps in it. One is the same as the previous Italy map, only retextured. The textures look great by the way. In the second map a few new areas have been added plus full acces to the roofs. It look great! I don't have any problems with the lightning, everything has been done perfect. I really recommend this map as a substitute for the old CS Italy. But in the end, that's up to you. Bouncey Gore Mod
my other gore mods, it makes things look out of place. Not anymore! By adding one stupid line of game code, the whole things changed, and now gore peices are flying and bouncing everywhere! This is truley fantastic! This is not the end however! It gets better. After playing with my own mods, and making screenshots, studying stills to see how I could make things better, I realised, that inbetween all of those gore peices, was nothing, emptiness. So Ive added loads of blood particles and a mass of other gore gunk to fill the gaps in, and make the gore look EVEN more real and detailed! Watching gore in slow motion have NEVER been so fun...trust me on this one! The screenshots speak for themselves! Along side my new knowledge of using the bounce code, Ive changed the bounciness of the empty shells! towers, great to snipe from, access is made from teleports to the tower of your choice. The towers a quite high but falling the right direction will allow you to fall into the water, trouble is you die trying to get out..lol. There are also tunnels under the water for access to the other towers, but be quick cuz you\'ll get sniped.The map supports DM TDM CTDM only and the number of recommended players is 2 to 42, mind you 20 would be full enough. A good map to try out on your DM servers, and a must for all you snipers out there. :thumbsup:

rocmod 2.1C standalone server
it has been poorly done to a certain degree. The mapcycle included contains custom maps, PB is disabled, and it isnt set up for bots. Now I know most of you hate the bots but it would have at least added something. To me this is no more than a batch file to set a few things that can be easily done through a shortcut. For those of you that have roc already and a small amount of knowledge then this one is not for you.

It's very big and full. There are buildings and structures all over the place and you can even take a walk underground. Most buildings are open so you can enter them. This will make indoors battles possible too and gives a nice twist to the standard sniping games. The best weapon you can use is the sniper. The long distances just won't allow you to run around with a different weapon :P If you're a fan of the old VOK map, you're going to like this version. The VOK-haters should try this map too though, it's really worth it. A great first map for the contest. Have fun! My Kluptux' Whore House (uhm that's an excellent Demolition server) buddy _187_FuriouS_ sent me this small but kick ass utility! Written in Visual Studio 6.0, this application allowes you to minimize the main window for Soldier of Fortune 2 Multiplayer by simply pressing "CTRL+Z" during the game to minimize, and "CTRL+SHIFT+Z" to maximize the window back! All you have to do is run the executable before you launch SoF 2 MP I´m sure we´ll see a future version that will automatically launch SoF 2 MP after launching this nifty utility? The only thing that's a pitty about this utility is that when you minimize your windows resolution is set similar to the game, so most people won´t be able to see their start menu button, task bar, system tray etc. but for people organizing matches that need to be in 2 places at the same time (being IRC and SoF 2 for example) this is the solution, no more alt entering and waiting for the vid_restart :D

allow you to get some cover but for tose who enjoy it can camp too. You play in a village and where there is a village, there are houses. You can enter some of the houses or you can get up the roof. For some roofs you need to set the gravity lower though, but I think the author didn't want you to get up there ;) I've found some things who reminded me to the old MP Jordan too. I guess the author gave a wink to the old version.. ;) The layout is very good for Deathmatch but for Teamgames aswell. `CHRISZ did a good job and should be proud of himself. Now go download this beautiful map. This version fixed the nast Hummerbug and some other small things, including the .pk3 name. Supported Gametypes: All, even Goldrush 2.2 Gametypes! Maximum Players: 24 recommended, maximum is 64.

Solution To PB Problem
extract from my sof2folder it is the PB folder. Once downloaded you need to make a backup of your current PB folder (incase you mess up) then using winzip, winrar etc which ever you own EXTRACT to your sof2 folder to replace the current PBfolder you should then find that you are able to play on servers with no problems

it all the way up to the top. And its a good 2/3 sec drop from the top...WooHoo :D I would say that you really want about 8-15 people on here to make sure you have lots of moving targets. The map gets its name from have wires going from building to building that you can run accross. This map is a great sniping map. Great for the sig as well. Could be hard for the M4 and AK74. Well, I hope that you enjoy this map. I know I did.

20Stp Lost World 3
with a couple of friends of my. The way the map is textured is very good, the same goes for the way the map itself has been made. The three buildings look very nice from both the inside and the outside. I wasn\'t able to discover one texture problem or a different bug, so this map is 100 % ok. There are a few teleporters, they are easy recognizable because the teleporters have been given a nice effect. There are plenty of secrets in the map too, I\'ve discovered some (well, actually -=[L*T]=- showed me them :P) of the secrets, if you know them, you\'ll have a huge advantage in the battle. So, happy searching and beware, some of them are very well hidden so keep your eyes open! Now over to the gametypes, -=[L*T]=- was tired of the standard CTF game, so he changed it a bit... Instead of defending one flag, you\'ll need to defend two flags :D So both teams now have two flags, this makes the game even more intens. If one player takes both flags and brings it back, you\'ll get one point though.. If two different players bring back the two flags at a time, you\'ll get two points. Everything is possible in this great map and teamwork is the key with teamgames. Put two snipers on the towers and let the rest of the team do the rest of the work. It\'ll work, trust me ;) The map supports plenty of gametypes and the Goldrush gametypes are supported too. I really recommend this map, but it\'s up to you whether you download it or not. Unoffical SoF2 MP 1.03 Source Code
download some UNOFFICIAL 1.03 source code for use. Raven promised us that a new 1.03 SDK would be available sometime in March 2003, of course this never eventuated. Since people often ask about being able to download the 1.03 source code, I have provided some 1.03 base code I use in my mods for public use. This code is 1.02 code which has been updated with the 1.03 code changes which were given to us by Raven. A full list of changes can be found in this readme. To the best of my knowledge this code is 100% correct, and is an almost perfect representation of the Raven 1.03 code. The only additions to the code have been to fix a gametype problem introduced by 1.03. Although don't blame me if something crops up later is doesn't work - use at your own risk. I have also included a tutorial by Sevensins in Word format with the code - this tute is handy for those who are having troubles setting the compiler up. I accept no responsibility for damage to data, or physical damage to hardware, caused by the appropriate or inappropriate use of this code. (that worked for me) To do this you can enter the console with the tilde (`) key and enter /seta com_hunkmegs 128 and press enter. You might need to restart your game to make this change.

The real mall has been candy coated in a 'enviro-green' theme, so this map is definitely a reflection of the older look. I could update it to match, but frankly, they went too far with the new mall look, it is ugly.
Even though CompUSA has been defunct for a year, they still have the CompUSA area walled off. It is a large space, but no one has moved in. I think I'll add 'store closing' signs on the exterior.
Oddly, I've been adding a number of polygons to the main hallways, but the change of closing off the stores has shown some improvement in the FPS department. It is running smoother all around, perhaps it was the 44 degree rotated textures that somehow came to be throughout the map. I've been correcting them, but there are 1000s of faces in the map.
I mentioned adding a DEM mode, but I have yet to do that. I still need to fully populate the map with weapons and packs for DM/ELIM modes. As it stands, CTF mode still has only one health pack in the center of the mall.
Some History: Years in the making (I do other things with my life too), and ported from my original SoF1 mall map, recreated from scratch twice, and now remade once again in my greatest map ever.
NOTE! If you downloaded a previous version, you must remove it from your sof2/base folder. Otherwise, conflicts will occur!
ALSO! If your web browser is stupid enough to rename the file extension from pk3 to zip, YOU MUST CHANGE the extension to .pk3 from .zip! DO NOT UNZIP!

A disadvantage is that there\'s only one gametype supported, elimination as expected since Barn is a real Elimination map ;) Deathmatch could have been fun too with this map but it\'s not supported. The ammount of players is fine though: 64 is the maximum.

Casino Hotel
here ;) But hey! This gives SoF2 something new. Always the same textures gets boring too after a while, and the stock songs aren\'t great either, so why not change it? Anyway, this is a medium to largesized map and has almost everything a Casino or Hotel needs: a swimminpool, a restaurant, a bar, gambling places, pool tables, roulette tables and many more. There are plenty of rooms to explore and the roof of the Hotel is also accesable. From there you can jump in the swimminpool or just sit back and relax at the outdoor tables. I think the map is mainly designed for pickup games, but it\'s your choice whether you play with or without pickups. A great map and botroutes are included. Happy fragging!
Muz!K Mappack
much bigger and brighter then the original. Plenty of cover and places to explore, I think this one looks even better then the Raven version.. Supported Gametypes: DM, TDM, ELIM and CTF. The second map is a remake of the \"Hells Bells\" map. I really liked the original, it had a beatiful layout and such, but it had many bugs and flaws. This remake fixes most of the stuff and also adds new things to the map! :) Perfect for sniper games, the map only supports DM and TDM. A shame that CTF isn\'t supported though. The third map is a completely new one. The layout reminded me of High Wire, many high buildings and not much cover in the streets. A perfect sniper map, so if you fancy sniping you will like this one ;) Three maps of the best quality, all three of them are worth to try. The map has some houses in it (which aren't accesable), you can get up to the roofs by walking up the ladders. The streets are wider then in Hells Bells, which is in my opinion good. Do you like sniper maps? If so, this is a nice map to add to your collection. Supported Gametypes: DM and TDM Max. Players: up to 64

You see fire all over the place and the sprinklers are trying to put the fire out :) This is very nice to see, only one disadvantage.. A bad FPS. If you are standing in the fire, your FPS will be very bad, but nothing to do about it.. It is only with some places though. There are also some new rooms added but the layout still remains the same. Go have some serious fun with this awesome map! I have no clue what is fixed in this second version, but it should be good anyway. There is also an cemetery with a little church and a small swimminpool. This map is very good, but the only disadvantage is that it is mainly designed for those who like to snipe and that it only supports DM and TDM.

It took at LEAST 50+ restarts and shutdowns of the game itself to get them positioned correctly as I hacked away at the level file with the ever-popular \"HexEdit\" program; the most diffucult of wich was the one I put underneath the bridge. :) That was a Game!! I know I could have gone about this in a different, more professional way, but I tried QuArK and Radiant programs only to be overcome by MAJOR program option complexities, (NONE of wich I was interested taking time to hash through), with Radiant, as well as numerous incompatibility issues with SoF2 and the other game types supported by QuArK. So, I decided to hack the file instead using a MUCH easier, but none the less Effective method of editing the level. The only things I had to take out were 4 messages that would appear when someone would send a Team Message that indicated where the message sender was in the level at the time wich I thought was a worthy sacrifice for a backpack. I hope you all feel the same way, hehe!! ;) Perhaps someone with more patience and skill than myself will re-edit the level using the right program(s) and put the missing messages and their corresponding triggers back where they belong, in addition to preserving my backpack infos in the level datas. (yes yes im working on barn :D) g_weaponmod 2 - Knives and Pistols only. g_weaponmod 3 - Knives and rockets only. g_weaponmod also works with callvote and kicks in after the next respawn. g_botskill (1-5) - 5 attempts to simulate the intensity of a clan match. 1 are wusses(ish). you can change g_botskill ingame but it wont kick in until a map restart. It is a basic 2 level design with lots of ins and lots of outs. there is a main room at the top, the castle i think, which is blue spawn point. the caverns are the red spawn points. basically speaks for itself. this is not dm or tdm, i think, it was way too long and tiresome to put in the pickups. INF briefcase is in red spawn, drop off is in cemetary at big headstone, it will change since red has advantage. ctf, blue flag in castle enterence, and red flag on bridge over lava. briefcase spread throughout map.[/quote] Go give it a try and see what you think :)

Here is small summary of the changes: [quote]- [b]Healing teammates[/b] In 2.0 your teammate's health is now displayed under their name when you have them in your sites. A health icon will appear when you press against a wounded teammate. To heal a teammate, press against them and hit your 'use' key. A bar graph will show the healing progress. Your ability to heal is unlimited but you can only restore a percentage of each player's health (default 80%). Servers can override the default by setting g_maxHealPercentage ## in their server configs. - [b]Hitmen gametype[/b] At the beginning of each round, one red player is given a briefcase full of cash. The blue team must seek out this player and assassinate him in order to win. When carried, the case emits a tone that can help the opposing team track the carrier. The player with the case may drop it or pass it to another teammate at any time. Be warned though. When the case is not being carried, it will show up on the blue team's radar and all they need to do is touch it to win. In 2.0 we've added a limit to the time the briefcase can remain dropped. If the case is dropped for longer than the timelimit (default :10), it explodes and the red team loses the round. This is to counter the exploit where players could drop the case in places where it was impossible to retrieve. Servers can override the default by setting gt_caseDropTime in their configs. 0 = no limit. - [b]Gametype Support[/b] ICS adds Hitmen and Elimination support to all Raven maps. scope I\'ve submitted previously, which you can find with my SIG551 \'Stinger\' and SIG551 Ground Zero skins. The first scope has no fade in along the outside rim, and is completely black for realism. The section around the oblong-rectangle is slighty transparent, and allows for a wide range of vision. The center is fully clear, just so you can see your enemies a bit better. The red centerand white inner reticles means that you can snipe in the dark, although it\'s not reccomended when you\'re using this crosshair. The second scope has a slightly smaller range of vision. It\'s also a transparent red, with a red pin-point center which is easier to see than the first scope. I found this one good for any map, and excellent in the dark. It\'s based on the sniper scope from Red Faction, if not with a few tweaks to it.[/quote]

Whore House (uhm that's an excellent Demolition server) buddy _187_FuriouS_ sent me this small but kick ass utility! Written in Visual Studio 6.0, this application allowes you to minimize the main window for Soldier of Fortune 2 Multiplayer by simply pressing "SHIFT+Z" during the game to minimize, and "SHIFT+CTRL+Z" to maximize the window back! All you have to do is run the executable before you launch SoF 2 MP I´m sure we´ll see a future version that will automatically launch SoF 2 MP after launching this nifty utility? The only thing that's a pitty about this utility is that when you minimize your windows resolution is set similar to the game, so most people won´t be able to see their start menu button, task bar, system tray etc. but for people organizing matches that need to be in 2 places at the same time (being IRC and SoF 2 for example) this is the solution, no more alt entering and waiting for the vid_restart :D

The City Of the Unknown

US Army Snow ops
of their backs. And one marine had no helment. Now 3 of them have their helments back. And the backpacks are back as well. The top of the ski masks matches the face part of it, and it looks very realistic. The freemason logo has been removed, but the Us flag remains. I removed the freemason logo because I thought it needed more of its snow camo to show. Therefore, I also changed the length of the gloves. They only go a little bit less of half way to the end of the forearm. And to match their knee guards, they have elbow guards now as well.

They are the exact opposite of each other. I use this file myself and Its a very fun idea to think of yourself as a trained templar anarchist taking down the government.

are plenty of buildings, stocks, cranes and metal containers and almost everywhere you can get (jump, climb etc..). I tried to do a realistic map so there are NO TELEPORTS or JUMP PADS... There are few secret rooms where you can get. A map is a medium size, I think good for team-gametypes. The map supports all known gametypes {goldrush, rocmod). The exploding gas bottles and the effects used for this and the damage left is quite remarkable with the sof2 engine. This map has raised the standard in how effects are used in MP and as a result it also changes how the game is played. Download it and have a look for yourself and as always leave the dev some feedback.

For a change blue team start closer to the case but red have a better chance to secure strategic points around the map if blue don't organise well at the start. up to 40 players for Inf elim, and over 20 spawns for deathmatches. sorry no pickups as of yet in this version. ----- This is quite a good make even though there are a lot of things that could be a lot better. There are some texture errors like like a floor texture is showing as half a ceiling and a few misaligned textures. The map itself is chunky and in some places out of proportion. There is a spot when you walk down some stairs were you bang your head. The road ends could have been done better. But all of the above comes with experience. Now the good points and there are lot of them. The use of buttons to open the doors is very well done as is the explosive entry to the bank. The map itself is well balanced and well thought out. This is a good map and if the dev had some tuition in the finer points then a ver 2 would be a huge hit.

awesome for two player and even better with more. Long live SOF2, Frag ON!! What Soffiles has to say. Well this is the devs first map and tbh it is very brave to send this in so all you can see it. This is a poor map, There are far to many mistakes to mention but I will try. Bushes outside the front door have no cap. The roof does not fit and the floor levels are all over the place. Theres a missing stair so you have to jump the last bit to get upstairs. Plants are bullet proof and some textures are wrong. At first I though that the dev simply did not know how to use models but theres a row of plant models. The trees are "home made" and look it. But all that aside I don't want the dev to feel like we are picking on them because at least they had a go. They have got the basics done and with some tuition could progress.

Overdose
water slides, a pool, a bar and, two back rooms with a jacuzzi room attached to each. There is a switch that you must shoot under the bar table on the wall next to the water slides ramp in order to gain access to the two back rooms but I don't think that anybody should have trouble finding it. Raven Office - 2nd Floor by JP
smaller. Play area is still the same (outside) Outside is darker. There are 7 paths to 2nd floor - 2 outside, 5 inside. No \"roof monkies\" = go there and you die :o Added DEM also as I play that atm. Map ain\'t big but I hope it will be fun. SoF2 ain\'t so popular anymore but I hope those that still play it - try this map.

floors. The floors and roof have easy access in many ways making it a nonlinear map. For Dm it is a good map although I would have liked to have seen CTF on this. The dev has shown he can produce maps of interest but need to work on his skills to make the map look nice. Some lights look wrong (the light circles on ceilings) and some of the brushes are chunky but apart from that i am looking forward to watching this dev develop his skills.
Islands
have your com_hunkmegs set to at least 128. The map is a good sniper and ctf map and certainly worth a download.
UrbanWar
bit chunky. The FPS drop in places and some of the detailing could have been a little better. But apart from that the layout is great for most types of play and imagination of the map shows the dev has a eye for map layout. Worthy of a download and very worthy of a version 2 once the dev has developed his mapping skills. To the dev- 10/10 for effort. Looking forward to your future maps.

Godz Jordan
good and are spot on for what the developer intended. The Sewer map is a small map that feels like a dark damp sewer and will be great map for a few shotgun only DM matches The Mosque map is + layout with a surrounding outer area that looks brilliant. The dev also made a second outer area so it all looks right. The jor1 style map is full of places to hide and is over 3 levels. This will make a great ctf map as well as a DM map. But all 3 have a lot going for them and are well worth the down load.

Cube
cubes by opening the doors and getting through as quick as you can. The map is also on multiple levels so it is not as straight forward as you think. A fun map and certainly worth a download and don\'t forget to leave the developer some feedback.

developer had his reasons not to add it. There are some bugs in it but they should not spoil the gameplay as they are more visual bugs. Have a look and leave the developer some feedback. *Note - The pk3 files is called maze.pk3 but the bsp file is called mazedoom.bsp so when loading the map from the consoles type map mazedoom
VV Thrust
and i must say it does work very well. The map flows very well and has plenty of pickups so your never far away from a weapon. It is a medium sized map but would still make a interesting map with just a couple of players on it. Be sure to check out the readme as it gives you instructions to raise your allocated memory for sof2 which is required (com_hunkmegs) All in all a great job

map. The roofs are now open and the map is a lot bigger. The fps are pretty good and it ran very smoothly. A great addition to any server, Nice work.
Swamp
name. But to my surprise it surpassed what I hoped it would be. Everything about this map is right. The terrain, the broken shacks the mist everything. But it goes one step further. The outer terrain even has little paths here and there for snipers. You get a feel of a RMG map but in fact this has been well thought out. The map supports all gametypes including Goldrush and Roc. You need to set your "com_hunkmegs" to at least 128 (you should do that anyway) 192 is preferred. Very nice map.

UK Xmas

Vendetta and is set in Trafalgar Square in London. There are a couple of errors like the trees are all black but I did not fix that as it adds to the feel of the map. Even though it is a modified beta of another map it still works well and plays well. The fps are good and I have included bot routes for all the gametypes the map supports.
