The default version working with the 1.0006 patch aswell, but that is just an MP Patch. If you want to play with the 1.0004 patch, then you must install the OL1.0004 compatible patch. FEATURES: FREEPLAY - Although you can follow the storyline, it is not necessary, you can explore all levels without completing them, but you must have the decoder to be able to get to Monolith Control and NPP Stancia2. - Removed the scripted blowout from Stancia1 and the dead zone from Stancia2, so you can explorate the whole Power Plant. - The last portal teleports the actor to the court, so the game is open-ended, you can make your way back to the previous levels. - New level changers (NPP Stancia2 to Control Room, Control Room to Sarcophagus, Sarcophagus to NPP Stancia1, NPP Stancia1 to Pripyat, Cordon'to Dark Valley). A-LIFE - Now almost everything can happen, there's a chance to meet any NPC on any level. - Sometimes the army raids, sometimes they don't, this is totally random, too. - The mutants are making their way through the Zone in big hordes. - The mutants are entering places where they could not enter before, so there's an increased chance to meet them in npc populated areas. - Sometimes you may happen upon unique situations, it can be very hard or even funny. - You will not have the same situations 2 times on the same level. - The respawn can be very random, there's a chance to meet different types of mutants then before. - The bugs of the older versions and the vanilla bugs have been corrected, now you won't see any failed quests and Quest NPC's who die before you can complete their quests, also the vanilla respawn is working properly and balanced. FACTION WARS - There's a chance to meet any faction in any level, also it's totally random. - A message will give you notice about the random events. - The Military attacks the bandits in the carpark. - The Military attacks the loners and the bandits in the Hangar. - You can meet Mercenaries in Agroprom. - The Duty and the Military attacks Borov's base. - The Freedom attacks the Duty base. - The Military sometimes attacks Rostok Wild Territory. - The Duty attacks the Freedom base. - All factions try to reach the center of the Zone, and there's a chance to some of them become zombified by the Psy Emission. REALISM - All weapons are stronger and well-balanced. - Almost to all weapons are able to attach addons. - Added realistic sounds to the weapons, rounds, ammos, materials and environment. - NPC's can bleed, if they are hurt they fall down to the ground and if they don't receive any medkits within a minute, then they die. - Bandages and foods don't heal the actor. - The average bleeding doesn't stop by itself, only the minor. - Added realistic head-bobbing to the actor when he is heavily wounded. - Well-balanced armor degradation. - The crosshair is reduced to a dot. - New sniper weapon scopes. -There is a huge difference between day and night, you can sneak in the pitch black, but it's not very easy, I had to make a compromise between a good stealth and bugfree npc behaviour. - If the actor turns on the flashlight at night, then his enemies spot him immediately. - Reduced the sound volume of the Knife, now it's a dangerous and invisible weapon during night, presumably the NPC's won't notice the actor if he is smart enough. - The quality of the weapons which are looted from corpses is generally very bad. NEW WEAPONS - BM16 Long Rifle - M-134 Minigun - AK-47 REWORKED AI - The npc's can avoid anomalies. - The npc's can throw grenades. - The npc's can use medkits, heal themselves and each other. - The npc's can upgrade and replace their armor and they will collect suits and weapons found laying about. - There are no dead npc's around campfires, but if someone dies near one, the campers will drag the corpse away. RE-ENABLED CONTROLLER AI - The controller can take control on the npc's and lead them against his enemies. - If an npc is inside the controller's aura, then he will immediately become zombified. - When the controller dies, then "controlled" npc's will return to normal. WEATHER - There are 24 hour cycle weathers in all levels. - The night is dark and scary. - Restored the Sun and the Moon. - Atmospheric sky textures. - In NPP Stancia2 the weather is always rainy and cloudy, it fits in to the atmosphere of the Nuclear Plant. BLOWOUT - The blowout is totally random, you never know when it will happen. - So there are many hideouts in each level, but carrying antirad is very important. - The npc's are running to hideouts, while being attacked - they fire back, at the end of blowout - they return to usual places. They protect the hideouts from enemies. - The strength of the blowout is always stronger and stronger if you are closer to the NPP. In the NPP blowouts are deadly, you must runn down to the Sarcophagus as soon as you can. - The mutants lie on the ground during the high radiation sequence of blowouts, they feel pain from that. - More mutants will appear after blowout and give madness to the environment. - Artifacts will birth from anomalies after blowout. - The blowout will continue if you save and load the game or move to an other level, you can't bypass it. DYNAMIC ANOMALIES - The anomalies change their positions after blowouts. - Stronger anomalies can appear and they will be very deadly. - Be careful of them if you are driving cars, now the routine which you learn in the vanilla game is useless. DYNAMIC HUD - Player's field of view lowers when you wear suits with masks, condensation effect (glass becomes covered with moisture) ARTIFACT TRANSMUTATION - It's a kind of alchemy, as you can see in other rpg games. You can modify artifacts by placing them in the proper anomaly, but be careful, you can ruin them too. There are "recipts" hidden in the zone, and you need to find them, or get them with completing quests. These papers contain the solution for creating unique items, so you should carefully read them. There are different levels for artifacts, each with new features. If you are lucky, you will be able to create a new artifact with unique properties. SLEEPING - Now Marked One gets tired after 30 hours of action: it begins to double your vision, etc. If you continue to play and will not sleep, Marked One will fall asleep approximately after 6 hours. - You can't sleep for a while if you had an energy drink. - You can't sleep during blowout. - To sleep, use the sleeping bag in your inventory.. MUTANTS - Added all cutout mutants (Dwarf, Chimera, Cat, Zombie, Izlom) - Theyhave many different types of skins. - Added the Psy Dog as a new mutant (with attack effector). - Two boss enemy characters (Burer and Koshei) - they are tougher and have stronger attacks then the usual mutants. VEHICLES - Added all drivable vehicles (Niva, Zaz, Kamaz, Tractor, UAZ, BTR, Moskvich). - The vehicles don't float. - Well-balanced driving properties. - Added realistic engine and gear sounds to the UAZ. MISCELLANEOUS - Replaced main menu music. - Main menu from the 2215 beta. - Added the "Turn on the engine" to the options/controls. - Added the AMK Options menu, you can disable the Suit HUD visors. - NPC's can buy anything from the actor but in very low prices. - All traders can repair. - New stalker and weapon textures. - Additional skins for stalkers and bandits. - Traders sell their supplies at very high prices, but they pay very low prices for everything, now they are well-balanced. - Finding a medkit is not so easy, also it's very expensive to purchase them. - Shootable crows. - You can place markers on the pda map with GPS. - Reworked the helicopter AI. Now they use rockets and will sometimes use evasive maneuvers. If the pilot loses the player from it's FOV (Field of Vision), then it will halt it's attack and fly away. - Antigas armors enabled. - The npc's can play the harmonica. - Alcolholism, don't drink too much vodka. - Replaced some dialog sounds to russian. - Added some songs to the camping stalkers. - Sidequests and autoquests have no time limit. - You can obtain the quests again after 1 day. - In standard task of the "Kill stalker" type, now, there are several ways to end task - victim can pay for its life. - A lot of vanilla bugfixes.[/quote]

becomes effective from 10 to 1000 (presumably meters). This should also work with Stalker 1.0005 - but I haven't tried it as I use mods that require 1.0004 and I didn't want to have to patch up just to check this and then reinstall the game to get back to 1.0004 and reinstall the mods etc. etc. A kind downloader could verify it operates in 1.0005 maybe? :-) To follow at some point in the future will be my own modified weapon and ammo configs - ie. to make some ammo types behave more correctly in relation to each other, some weapons to have more unique traits and darts and slugs to make nice big holes in things :-)

STATIC LIGHTING - new, sun-based lighting system which makes the game look much more like real-life - during the day the sun always gives at least some lighting, but the color, intensity of it and the way it transits form one setting to another is depended on the time, clouds, fog, angle etc. - realistic sunsets and sunrises - new weather settings for all outdoor game levels (clear weather for Pripyat, Yantar, Dark Valley etc) - included StalkerSkies and S.H.A.R.P.E.R.v95 - full support of float32 shaders - effective rain periods, thunder-storms - included thunder sounds by Darius6, also reconfigured thunderbolts to make them more random and effective - completely re-done sun positioning / shadow settings - shadows are realistically long (check out the screens) and point to the proper direction. I know this is an easy edit for most, but this is my first mod/tweak, so don't flame me just because you could have done it yourself, thats great and all, but this is for those who couldn't! (or are too lazy!)

On top of that comes the rank quality: Novice = 0 Experienced = 10 Veteran = 20 Master = 30 3. Then there is a random value between 0 and 10 added. such, you pretty much won't find any amazingly powerful weapons or armors in it... With that out of the way, let me also say that this little collection of tweaks is far from impressive... I originally started work on this for my own personal use, with no intent to distribute--but, after sharing some information and telling stories about what I was working on over at the Zone Survival Guide board, there turned out to be a number of people interested in the things I was doing...so, after a bit of talking it over, I've decided to put my tweaks out here. Again, I tell you, there is nothing particularly amazing in this collection of tweaks. All it is, is some simple weapon tweaks(accuracy and power, price, increased compatability with accessories, and what I believe are the most accurate and realistic descriptions and titles), combined with some equally simple armor modifications(slightly increased and staggered carry weights, different prices, slightly adjusted attributes for like one or two suits), plus a few extra weapons based on real-life items and some tweaks to the traders to get all of those new toys on the shelves of the zone's traders... To be perfectly honest, there are also a few alternative textures that you may or may not use, along with a sound file that has been applied to the 7.62x39mm weapons I've worked out... As far as I am aware, this collection of tweaks should be fully compatible with all versions of the game, it shouldn't require anything more than dragging the "gamedata" folder into your game directory to install it, and for the most part it shouldn't even force you to start a new game(actually, the 'fix' for the Freedom Trader might take a fresh start to function 100% correctly, but it still shouldn't cause any problems if you don't start a fresh game)... I'm currently running version 1.'4, with no other mods except for this little collection... If anyone out there finds that this mod will not work for them, because of version incompatibility or whatever, please, let me know and I'll see about fixing it... CREDITS, BECAUSE I COULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN THIS DONE WITHOUT SOME GOOD TEACHERS: Now, a moment ago I mentioned that this collection includes alternatively textured visual models for the weapons, plus a sound file for three of the weapons... I have to give credit for this stuff, at the very least! So, to get those credits out of the way, here goes: - Retextured USP, PM, PB, AKS-74U, and AKS-74 - By Gohda. - Retextured "Chaser 13" (Winchester 1300? Mossberg Maverick 88? Remington M870? WTF IS THIS THING?!) - By philibuster. - Retextured SVD - By Mattressi. - Retextured L85 and SUSAT scope crosshair - SOMNUS. - 7.62x39mm sound file - By...well, hell, I haven't a clue who did it; I snagged it from one version or another of "Rebalnced"...so, credit goes to the whole bunch who worked on that mod, and by extension everyone they gave credit to... Aside from the weapon-related visual and audio changes, there are also a few other things I need to give credit for: - For inspiration and guidance, and the files to base the tweaks on when it came down to modding the trader inventories - Athanasios, who put together the EMPORIKON trader modification, on which my work with the traders has been very heavily based... - For the included repair mod - CtV, I believe--and by extension MoDD, as well... For the total package, I have to give further credit to all the folks who have supported me, inspired me, and guided me in the brainstorming and creation of this little collection of tweaks and changes--so a big shout out to all the folks who hang out on the Zone Survival Guide board regularly - NatVac, Pepe, and everyone else who may not have been modders but who still did help me to figure things out and get things done...and then a big shout out to all the guys who've posted mods on FileFront, here, who have similarly guided and inspired me without ever even knowing or being in contact with me... INSTALLATION, BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE KNOWS HOW TO GET MODS TO WORK: Alright, so I mentioned it before, way up top... As far as I know, this should be compatible with all versions of the game, and it should be an extremely easy thing to install... All I have to do to get this collection of changes to work, is stil the "gamedata" folder into the game directory...it goes into "C:/Program Files/Games/THQ/STALKER/" and sits in the main directory, there, right beside the other folders and files, nice and neat, with no mucking around with the fsgame.ltx file or anything else... THE FINAL WORD, BECAUSE IT IS TIME FOR ME TO SHUT UP NOW: ANYWAY. Feedback. Yeah. IF anyone tries out this little collection of changes, please, let me know what you think of what I've done. But, please, don't ask me to do any of that super-difficult stuff that I've already said I likely can't do... Modding in more armor shouldn't be too difficult, I should be able to manage that, but those other things--weather and day/night cycles, darker nights, etc, etc, I just don't think I'm qualified to even try to do...at least, not yet. Maybe I will get to that point, eventually--but, please, don't rush it... On the other hand, if any of you other folks would like to put this little collection of changes to work in an even larger compilation, maybe even all the way up to a total conversion or complete overhaul...be my quest! I don't mind at all! I did this bit of work for my own pleasure, and I'm glad others took interst in it! If you see something you like and you want to use it, by all means, go right on ahead! It would be nice to be mentioned in the credits, but I'm not going to jump on your back if you don't mention that I did any of this work. It isn't for profit, so why should I care who uses it, or how they use it? Then again, if I catch wind of anyone using my work for their profit, in a monetary sort of way...THAT might cause some trouble. So, watch it. Take it, use it, play it, have fun with it--but don't you dare charge anyone for it! All this perfectly synchronized with time of day, geographical orientation (sun rises in the east and sets in the west) and visible sun position - sun travel \"emulated\" with proper sky texture transition and sky texture color settings - realistically dark, spooky but playable nights - more detailed cycle, number of periods multiplied (there are more than 40 periods of the cycle, instead of vanilla 24) - a lot of 30 minutes and even 15 minutes periods (instead of commonly used 1h ones) to better reflect and control the subtle lighting weather changes - cycle synchronized for Kiev, UK, 01.05.2012 (original idea by MrKlorox Badmagic and their DarkerNights mod, so credits for it go to them - I recalculated the timings and since my sunrises and sunsets are animated, they are perfectly synchronized to the minute) - four optional night variations - darker,brighter, normal and pitch black

Created an entirely new kind of ammunition for the AK-47. 7.62x39mm. Two variants have also been created. The 7.62x39mm HP, or hollow point, round. The 7.62x39mm AP, or armor piercing, round. 3. Increased the flashlight shine distance from 13, to 25 meters. 4. Decreased the flashlight\'s shine cone from 60 to 50 degrees. Shouldn\'t be to much of a difference, but makes the beam more concentrated. 5. Changed what Wolf gives you at the very begining. Instead of recieving a PMM, you will recieve a Barret M9 with 120 rounds of ammunition. 6. The reward you recieve from Wolf for the succesful completion of the first quest has also been changed. You now recieve an AK-47 with 300 rounds of ammunition. This should last you until you get to the Bar. 7. The dialog you have with Wolf has been slightly changed to compensate for the change in reward. 8. The Ak and its ammo have a full description. I have tried to be as accurate as possible with the descriptions in the weapon, and it\'s ammunition, but I may have things wrong. If you see anything wrong, please contact me so that I can fix it. 9. You are now able to purchase 7.62x39mm Ammunition from Sidorovich, and Barman (all types). 10. Shotguns now do more damage. 11. Trader\'s are more specialized. They sell things that they have easy access to, or an abundance of. e.g. Scientest Trader sells a lot of AntiRads and Scientest MedKits, cheaper than anyone else.[/quote]

I would say no, but its hard to say since the increase is only minimal. a 2x for more items but that doesn't mean much with a 05% chance of an item showing up) -food is a little more expensive and heals less. medkits heal less, and stop bleeding less and are VERY expensive as well as harder to come by. bandages heal very little and stop bleeding a little less. but arnt to much more expesnive -your beginer detector has a slightly shorter range, but the more advanced one has a longer range as a trade off (before they all had the same range) -grenades are less abundant now -vodka is now better then the antirad(which is more expensive) however, the side effects are more noticable... Russian or not thats big looking bottle of vodka. -seeing as this is Russia Vodka is more abundant(after all it grows on trees there right ;p) but worth less now as well and the barman WILL NOT buy it... he has enough of his own -bandages and medkits are a little harder to find(when you are carrying around 50+ bandages all the time you know somethings wrong, and medkits were no better) -weight has been tweaked again this time you dont take a peanlty untill you hit 55Kg then you cant walk after 80Kg -another thing that was implimented in the first version but wanst mentioned is that normal stalkers are now much more uselful trade wise. they will buy all non-unique guns and armour -energy drinks are more expensive, and only half as effective as before. I mean what were they before? an IV enjection of redbull? -artifacts are worth even more, and there prices are not all the same -guns a little more expensive -you can now see if a gun will take a attacment in its info. EVERY handgun can have a silencer so it was not mentioned. and there are NO attachments for shotguns -SERIOUSLY returned the rate at which guns were degrading[/quote]

DJekman -more blood marks -some mutants made a little stronger(more to come) -creatures health has been tweaked more (humans a little stronger then normal to help conpensate for weapon accuracy, but still with in realistic proportions) mutants have more health now. making them more dangerious -before in V1 you could carry 135K, this has been lowered a little. you can carry up to 75k with no penalty and keep walking untill 115k, however, the peanlty for being overweight is more noticable -some guns accuracy fixed,(SVD, SVU, l85) dispite some testing they were to innacurate before, more guns may be modified as time goes on ---Changes from V1 that wernt mentioned -the AK's are using the larger 60 round clips. a rare thing but it does exist. seeing as there very inaccurate this makes up for it. -you now have 10 days to finish a quest, not 1 -added a limping state[/quote]

of the game it turned out to be different: things did have a life, but only within specific areas of the Zone. They may escape these areas only under two conditions: 1. They chase something. 2. They are running away from something. Therefore what you have is, on the map Cardon, the dogs not far from the wagon will walk around that area forever until one of the scenarios takes place. I, in my mod, removed these area restrictions for ALL monsters and for some NPCs. What is the result? For example the dogs near the wagon now can walk, for example, to the wounded stalker that is there and eat him. Members of the Zone can now freely roam around the entire map. This gives way to many interesting situations. For example a large brood of dogs, 20 of them, roamed towards the military and attacked them. The same will situations will happen with NPCs. For example we take the Rookie Camp. Before nobody would leave the camp, but now 1-2 stalkers will periodically leave.

Except shotguns and other weapon that were not suposed too . Shotguns , snipers and heavy weapons were adjusted to fit in the pistol slot and to give player a quick weapon switch . All armors are non degradable and have good nightvision . You can sprint with any armor without ever fatigue . The annoying dynamic crosshair was replaced by a simple dot . No modifications were made to armors protection and weapons damage or accuracy . Your enemies will drop more ammo ; i really don\'t think they\'re carring only 20-30 bullets .
