Unlike most Tower Defenses, Element TD has two major innovations that allow for a depth of strategy unseen in contemporary Tower Defence gameplay. Whereas traditional Warcraft 3 Tower Defences overlook armor type and attack type, Element TD creates its own world wherein each invading horde and attacking tower has a specific corresponding element. Each elemental armor takes additional damage from the element preceding it and retains near-invulnerability from the element following it. Consequently, each tower deals damage based on its attack element versus the armor element of the invading creeps. The circle of elements goes as follows: [color=yellow]Light[/color] > [color=indigo]Darkness[/color] > [color=blue]Water[/color] > [color=red]Fire[/color] > [color=green]Nature[/color] >[color=brown] Earth [/color]> ... [color=yellow]Light[/color] [color=lightgreen][size=4]Is That All?[/size][/color] Element TD retains a unique form of levelling up defensive towers that opens the door for a new dimension of strategy. Beginning at level 5 and for every 5 levels after that, the player chooses an Elemental Guardian to summon. These guardians channel the secrets of deep and powerful elemental magik, and when killed they grant the user the use of a specific element. These elements either infuse existing towers with their specific qualities or inhabit their own, specialized elemental tower. Beginning with two elements, the user can combine elements and create unique dual and triple element towers. Each tower has its own offensive and support capabilities. No two elemental towers are alike in Element TD. [color=lightgreen][size=4]The Devil's in the Details...[/size][/color] Each element can be chosen again in order to create base element towers of levels 1, 2, and 3. In this way the 6 base elements create six base towers, each upgrade corresponding to how many guardians of a single element a user has slain. Each element combines with another element to create a unique dual tower, and each dual tower can combine with a third and separate element to create a triple element tower. There are 15 dual towers and 20 triple towers in Element TD. Furthermore, each hybrid tower can be upgraded to increase its own specific attack or support capabilities. Towers may only be upgraded if all of their component elements have been brought to the next level. In Element TD, better towers are only available by killing more Elemental Guardians. Example: Two dead Fire Guardians and two dead Water Guardians allows for a level 2 [color=red]Fire [/color]+ [color=blue]Water [/color]dual-element tower. [color=lightgreen][size=4]The Rich Get Richer?[/size][/color] While players' instincts might be to build as strong a defense as they can manage in a Tower Defense, you are rewarded for putting off building that expensive tower and hoarding your money in Element TD. Every 15 seconds, all players gain interest on their unspent gold to the tune of 2% of their current cash. Players may also increase the initial interest rate once every five levels at the cost of an Element pick. In higher difficulty levels survival depends upon proper tower placement and cash management. In allowing some gold to accumulate, you may find that early level creeps sneak past your defences; however, Element TD does not trade off money lost in kills for money gained by hoarding. Players no longer lose gold for missing out on a crucial creep kill. In most Tower Defence games, if you let a creep reach the end of its path, you lose a life and whatever gold you would have gotten from killing it. In Element TD, leaked creeps respawn at the start of the path. This gives you another chance at the gold they carry, but gives the creep another chance at you. To reach the end of Element Tower Defense, all 60 waves must be completely defeated. simple description of the gameplay of this map is that it is a combination of Tower defense, Pudge Wars and Warlocks. Its like tower defense! Like tower defense, the main objective of this map is to prevent creeps from entering a certain region in the map. If any creeps enters the region, the life will start to decrease and the players lose if the life reaches 0. However, unlike traditional tower defense game, in this map, the units that shoots and kills the enemies are not buildable towers, but are mobile riflemen units called "shooters". Players start with a shooter at the beginning of the game and can hire more shooters as the game progresses. A shooter does not have any basic attacks but they can equip different weapons to shoot the enemies to kill them. Its like warlocks! Another main feature of this map is that it is infused with some real world 2 dimensional dynamics physics to improve the gameplay of the map. Physical concepts like Kinematics, Momentum & Kinetic Energy transfer, Elasticity and Coefficient of Restitution are evident and can be observed while playing this map. Or in other words, units bounces on walls and they also bounce on each other. This is where it is similar with Warlocks. Another similarity this map has with Warlocks is that weapons do not only deal damage (and/or spell effects) but they also deal "blast energy". Blast energy (or just energy for short) is the term used to describe the kinetic energy received by a unit when they are shot with certain weapons. When a unit is shot with a weapon they do not just receive damage but they also get blown away by the weapon. The higher the energy of the weapon the stronger the blast effect it can deliver. And creeps also have masses. The heavier a unit the more inertia it has, the more difficult it is to blast it with your weapons. Its like pudge wars! Another difference with the tower defense map is that the shooters does not attack with warcraft 3's target auto acquiring system. To shoot a weapon, you equip the weapon and point the target with your mouse and use the mouse click to fire the weapon on your own. This is where the "real-time action" part of the map comes from and also where it is similar to pudge wars. ================================================================= Gameplay System: Firing a Weapon This game as mentioned above has several unique gameplay system, one of them is how to fire a weapon. To fire a weapon, you don't use your left click for abilities casting but you use your right click button instead. Below is the instructions for firing a weapon. 1. Equip the weapon by clicking on in in your inventory. A message saying "Current Weapon : ||weapon name||" will appear on your screen. The equipped weapon will become undroppable. 2. Use the Take Position ability on your shooter. Your shooter will now become immobile. And everytime you command your shooter to move by right clicking, you are ordering the shooter to attack that target point instead. 3. When you order your shooter to fire, a colourful bar will appear on top of your shooter's head which indicates the cooldown for the weapon. That shooter will be able to shoot again if the bar goes empty. 4. If you want to drop the equipped weapon, you have to disarm the weapon first. If a weapon is disarmed, it becomes droppable but your shooters will not be able to shoot anymore. Multiple Shooter Controlling This issue may look quite difficult and complicated, but believe me, it is not. Controlling multiple shooters can be done in two ways. 1. Place all the shooters in position according to their weapons and use the take position button. Positioning your shooters are as important as building towers in the right places in tower defense games. Weapons with high energy should not be put opposite the goal since it will push enemy creeps in if it doesn't kill it. And some weapons are also more effective if used closed ranged. or 2. If you are the type who prefers to run around and shoot people, then you can also move all the shooters together as though you are controlling just one shooter. If you want to start firing, just put all of them in position and start clicking on the general area of the target. This way, beautiful colorful rainbow of chaotic bullets and lightnings will decorate your computer screen immediately. and also 3. Well okay, there is actually 3 ways, but this one may require you to be a genius or at least brilliant in microing units. The other way to control your shooter is by controlling them individually. I don't know if anyone is able to do it this way but I'm pretty sure I can't. from qwertyui, Bobthemage and shaka (creators of the Eternal Conflict Maps). If anyone finds someone else who is ode credit I would happily give it to them. This map was originally created for LAN play with some real life friends of mine, and we thought it was pretty damned fun, so I thought I might as well share it. Playing custom maps on Battlenet, it always frustrated me that some of the best maps I had played such as EoTA, Eternal Conflict, Battle for Icecrown and others, were seldom being played due to the ridiculous popularity of DoTA. But for those like-minded souls, who enjoy playing something AoS that is *NOT*DoTA from time to time, here is a map I spent plenty of effort on, to not only make its character flavor *somewhat* unique, but balanced as well. Its features include: 33 custom heroes, play tested and rebalanced a bajillion times. Each hero has 4 skills and 1 ultimate, each with 5 ranks and fully scaling, no broken abilities. Shops stocked with custom items, displaying a wide variety of uses. *No ridiculous tomes* Spawns which produce increasingly powerful champion units periodically, to present a steady challenge to players. Basic Leader board, which intentionally excludes building kills. It's a standard AoS in the sense that destroying enemy keeps shuts down their troop production from their respective spawn points, killing the enemy faction's castle eliminates them from the game, and it of course, it revolves around killing rather than building. But hopefully some people have a fun time playing it, and hopefully some idea or another presented here is not something that's been done so many times it bores everyone to death. Hopefully some folks can have fun with it, as I assure you my friends and I have and will continue to! Enjoy! -NeverDeath

Daytime and nighttime bring more differences then just the obvious, there is a definate swing in balance when it turns between night and day, during night time the undead necromancers gain healing powers and lose it during the day, for the human priests, the opposite is true. And how are you going to fund you Cyber-space battles? No need to worry, not only do you gain gold by fighting, but you also gain gold according to your level. Periodically you will gain some gold throughout the game. There are plenty of custom abilities in this map, and not all are related to pure damage. Enjoy. Refer to the readme for more information.

You got less towers, and less possibilities, but the fact is that this is the most played Mini TD on B.Net.
