MobMap

mobmap122_20070401.zip | 86.33 KB

but INGAME!. MobMap will also integrate itself into your questlog which makes finding quest mobs as easy as clicking a button! In addition to that, MobMap also has a quest database that you can search by various criteria, a merchant database which lets you browse the offerings of all known merchants in WoW and a profession/recipe database that contains data about the necessary reagents for various recipes! You can open MobMap ingame either by using the new button added to the world map, by defining a key binding for MobMap or by using the command /mobmap show MobMap does not get any data from an online database as you play WoW. Instead, it works with a local database copy installed together with the addon itself in your addon folder which gets loaded on-demand (currently this database occupies ~3-4 Mbytes of addon memory when it is fully loaded, MobMap itself only needs 190 kbytes until you use it the first time). This database however is being built by a web application running at http://www.mobmap.de. You can download the newest version of the database on this website, and if you download and extract the zip file available here, you will HAVE TO get an up-to-date version of the database in your preferred language (german or english) manually from the MobMap website, otherwise your MobMap installation won\'t work! To make it easier for you to keep MobMap and its database up-to-date, I provide a windows application called the MobMapUpdater. This application does not have to be run in parallel with WoW, you just fire it up whenever you want to check for updates or upload collected data. If you choose the MobMapInstaller.exe download available here or on the MobMap website, a wizard will comfortably install the MobMap addon with a copy of either the german or english database (your choice) and the MobMapUpdater (if you want it). The data in the MobMap database is gathered in the same way as the data of all the well-known web databases: by users submitting data collected while they play the game. MobMap also contains such a data-collection mechanism which is enabled by default (you can, however, disable it if you don\'t want to contribute to the database). There are two ways to upload this data to the database: the manual upload via an export function in the addon and the MobMap website and the more comfortable one-click-upload via the MobMapUpdater. In both cases only non-personal game information is uploaded, neither your account or character name nor any other personal information is being submitted. At the moment, the quest/merchant/profession databases are still pretty empty, as they have been added much later than the position database in the beta test phase. But if many users contribute their collected data to the database (and I strongly encourage you to do so, it\'s just one click with the MobMapUpdater tool!), this \'problem\' should be solved soon. For updates about the ongoing development of MobMap visit the new MobMap development blog!

character control while the map is up. This essentially means you can open the map, and then run around as normal while watching your pin update on the map. To install: Simply unzip the file into your World of Warcraft directory. To Use: Go to your Key Bindings, scroll down to “AlphaMap Key Bindings” and bind the toggle to a key. I have mapped mine to “Tab” and moved my enemy selection to another key. Then make sure to say “Ok” when you close the key bindings window. Once out, simply press the mapped key to toggle the AlphaMap on and off.

uber-heroes. Each hero begins w/ 250 gold and 2 lives. Gold is obtained by killing creeps or enemy units. Additional items may be purchased at your village. If you die, but have enough or can get enough gold from your teammates, you can revive your hero after a short period of time. Use the circle of power that will be placed at your site of death. You are commanding the forces for either Aszune or Keeper. The computer will build and attack on its own, but will not expand its production capacity or upgrade. That is left for you to decide what is best. There is only one way into your territory to begin with, though walls may be broken down in order to allow additional land paths. The computer will not necessarily make use of back doors. It will first take the shortest path. It will however, not countermand your orders.

Gatherer

gatherer2.0.3.zip | 99.13 KB

minimap. The addon does not track like a tracking ability does, rather it \"remembers\" where you have found various items in the past. It does this whenever you gather (perform herbalism, mining or opening) on an item, and records the specific map location in it\'s history. From then on, whenever the item comes into range of being one of the closest 1-25 (configurable) items to your present location, it will pop up on you minimap. When you view your main map, you will also see the item locations marked on the particular map you are viewing there. [/quote]

you can\'t reach from your current location are shaded grey. It should make it much easier to figure out how to get where you want to go. No more alt+tabbing to check a map! Why should I use it? It removes the need to check an external map to figure out what\'d be the best way to get to where you want to go. You can use it even if you\'ve already memorized the entire layout, as it doesn\'t get in your way. Great for mod compilations.

Flight Path UI

flightpath.zip | 25.64 KB

Blizzard may add. It also comes with a list of flight paths, zeppelin routes, and boat connections that you can load if you desire. FlightPath has the following features: o Flight masters show up on your zone maps. Hovering your mouse over the icon displays all the connections available from that flight master. o An on screen arrival time countdown is displayed while in flight once FlightPath has learned the time it takes to make the trip. o When talking to flight masters, the time needed to make each trip is shown in a tooltip as you hover over each destination. o You can bring up a dialog that allows you to query connections by typing \'/fp\' at the WoW chat prompt (bindable to a key). You can then click on the connections that are displayed in the dialog and the view switches to the clicked location. If you right click on a connection, the map for that zone will open with the flight master\'s location highlighted. o Many of the travel paths around Azeroth have been supplied. You can load these with the \'/fp load\' command if you don\'t want to learn them all yourself. There is no configuration needed. Just unzip the files into the WoW Interface\\Addons\\FlightPath directory and log in.

Flightmap UI

flight master as you talk to them, and will draw lines on the World Map connecting known flight paths for the currently highlit zone. Flight masters whose location doesn\'t already have a POI icon will get a flight icon. Additionally, the AddOn shows the level range Blizzard suggests for each region, and the coordinates for the flight masters. The options window can be accessed via the myAddOns menu, or by the \"/fmap\" or \"/flightmap\" slash commands. The options allow you to show or hide inbound flights, show or hide the flight path lines, and show or hide the extra POI icons. The code to draw the lines is largely based on the MapNotes implementation; thanks to the authors for showing me how it\'s done. :) Also, many thanks to Krwaz of FlightPath fame, who allowed me to use his data to provide some prelearned flight time information. Please note that, if you\'re upgrading from an older version of FlightMap, you\'ll almost certainly want to hit /fmap and set up options for new features to take effect! BETA NOTE: The v56 beta allows the flight timer window to be moved, which is a widely requested feature. This version works for me in my enUS release copy, and should work for all enUS users. It\'s got known issues with the German release, is completely untranslated for the French release, and has an untested incorporation of someone else\'s work on a Korean translation. Unless you\'re really keen for the movable timer window or a translated version, wait for the next full release where I hope to completely bypass 95% of the translation issues with a new data format. :)

Currentzone Fix UI

currentzonefix_21.0_1500.zip | 2.24 KB

only zooms to the current continent rather than the current zone. This behaviour persists until the first time you cross a zone or area boundary. This renders many AddOns unusable immediately after a User Interface reload, for example MapNotes. This bug also means that if you open the world map you are presented with the continent rather than the zone map. The Fix: ------- This AddOn fixes this behaviour. The fix is smart, so that once SetMapToCurrentZone() starts behaving normally, the fix turns itself off to avoid unnecessary overhead. For coders: ---------- You are welcome to extract the core functionality of this Addon and integrate it into your own AddOn if you like, provided you meet some conditions (see below). To do so, simply copy the single CurrentZoneFix_SetupFix() function and add it to your AddOn. When you do so, either rename it appropriately (e.g. MyAddOn_CurrentZoneFix_SetupFix), or declare it as a local function. This avoids clashing with other AddOns that also include it. It only needs to be called once, which is best done in an OnLoad function, like it's done in the CurrentZoneFix AddOn. The CurrentZoneFix_SetupFix() function is smart enough to detect if the fix is already present, so there shouldn't be any problem if multiple AddOn authors decide to include this in their AddOn. It also handles different versions of CurrentZoneFix being present and attempts to make sure the latest version is the active one.
