Thin Red Line SP
Im eigentlichen Sinne ist diese Karte für die Mercenaries Mod bestimmt, lässt sich aber auch problemlos, wie schon "Attack at Sea", mit dem stinknormalen Battlefield 2 spielen. Hierfür solltet ihr den Installationshinweis am Ende diese Beschreibung beachten.
Auf der Karte "Thin Red Line" stürmt ihr in Hollywood Manier einen Hügel. Die Szenerie erinnert stark an den Antikriegsfilm "Der schmale Grat" (Originaltitel: The Thin Red Line). Hier mussten US Soldaten im Zweiten Weltkrieg einen Hügel auf einer Pazifikinsel stürmen. So auch im Jahre 2007. Am höchsten Punkt des Hügels erwartet die US Marines ein MG Bunker der MEC. Nur das hohe Gras lässt ein heranpirschen zu. Seit dennoch wachsam, wenn man euch entdeckt mähen euch die beiden MGs in Windeseile über den Haufen.
Hinweis zur Installation
Die RAR-Archiv enthält einen Installer. Ihr müsst bei die Installation für euer Vanilla BF2 nur darauf achten das ihr den angegebenen Pfad in folgender Form abändert.
Ihr müsst statt diesem Pfad:
c:\program files\EA games\battlefield 2\mods\mercs\levels
euren BF2 Levels-Ordner angeben:
Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels
Empfehlung
Bei guten PCs empfehlen wir außerdem noch die Anisotropische Filterung (AF) im Grafiktreibermenü zu erhöhen. So habt ihr die volle Breitseite an Gras und es sieht auch auf Entfernung sehr nett aus.
