Using the industry’s most sophisticated full-performance motion capture equipments, Volition and Pendulum Studios teamed to create the action packed cinematics in Red Faction: Armageddon. The proprietary facial performance capture rigs, real-time camera capture and visualization system, and full sound stage help the actors bring Mars to live. This full performance capture allows the actors to fit cohesively into the game world. A character’s voice, body, and face are all driven by one actor, as opposed to two or three actors often used in other games. Instead of being confined in a small sound booth, actors work together on a stage, resulting in an authentic performance you can see right here.
