 This looks to be the worst track list so far from Guitar Hero. The majority of people who play this are kids (mostly teens). So if you are going to use 80′s music, at least make it music that we know. I am quite disappointed in this new one. Can’t wait for Rockstar to come out for PS3. Gotta work to get my business back.

Man…what a disappointment. I was really expecting bigger and better songs. But what can you do….I am sure they couldn’t secure copyrights for the songs that rightfully belong on the set list. But what really surpises me is that there isn’t more metal. What a cryin’ shame. And Flock of Seagulls? All I remember about that video is a dude playing a SYNTHESIZER…..

I still want it. Anybody know if it is playable on the ps3? Gh2 doesn’t work but Gh1 works fine. Hopefully this one will work like GH1.

Woah, Dio…. man… wow… Dio… I mean wow.
But yeah, some pretty other miserable songs in that list.
Electric Eye by Judas Priest is a nice inclusion though

Yes what a waste 30 songs is not worth it. Also GH2 Dls for Xbox live is a waste. I own GH2 and i enjoy it. I cannot wait for Rock Band to come out. Maby they can do what GH never did “offer lots of good songs” and good DL packs.

Rock band will blow the doors off GHIII. wait and see. GH will be a thing of the past. Activision didnt listen to their customers and will pay for that.

The only good thing will be i can use my GHII Axe for Rock band. atleast they werent cheap about that. this 80′s encore was released for Xbox 360 they better double the songs or offer this as a cheap 800 or even 1600 points DL. its not worth more than $20-30 in my oppinion with 30 songs. Screw you Activision.

xboxlenny- If it wasn’t for the fact that you have xbox, I would suggest you try GH1. At least they have Pantera. When GH3 comes out this fall, I am going to envy the hell out of you, though.

I am sick of them using obscure bands that hardly anyone has heard of.And when they do get a known name, they use an obscure song. I mean, come on, of all the Iron Maiden songs they had to choose from, they had to pick Wrath Child?

Where is my AC/DC, Whitesnake, Lita Ford, Ozzy, Slayer, Exodus, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Damn Yankees, Page and Plant, Journey and Sucidal Tendancies? No…..they’ve got Oingo Boingo…

But alas, like crackhead to the stem, I will be predictably going out and getting this game. Sigh….

Wel they call this Rocks the 80′s for a reason. Plus I think guitar hero is great because they don’t pick the most popular songs. They go for ones that would be fun to play. Plus they probably are missing a lot of things because they couldn’t clear them. I think they’re selection of songs for every game so far have been great.

Man Sony is really starting to piss me off. I’ve always been a Sony fan since the ps1. I spent 600 bucks on this system and they don’t release any games for it. When they do announce a title release the dates always gets pushed back. Not to mention the games are 10 dollars over the other 2 systems. I’m thinking bout trading it for a xbox360.

Defently, it is a rip off. Dont release this on 360 as a add on for 30 songs, it will be as bad as the crappy overpriced 3 song DLS now. Horrible. Activison dont care when they can milk the cow more. but it will go bust. no Cash Cow for you.

Like i posted before, im waiting for Rockband, like many more, lets hope Rockband dont be as tight and try to milk that cow so bad. Rockband will be the new King of Rock and Roll. RIP off, and RIP Guitar hero 80s. lets hope GH3 goes back to the value for customers. because they are the ones who rock it out.

Expansion pack @ 29.99 or less would have made it worth it maybe but not @ 50 bucks. Nothing new about the game except for the tracks and as others have mentioned it was obviously a rushed out product. As a matter of fact it is less than the previous versions because of the lack of bonus tracks. Songs I hope to see in the future for the GH series are “Bambi” by Prince, “Summer Breeze” by the Isley Brothers, and “Machine Gun” by Hendrix and a Band of Gypsis.

I am a fan of all the GH games(even though I’m thirty). I dont know why everyone is upset over this new installment. I actually enjoy every song on it.
What people dont realize is that it cost $50 for a reason….they had to pay 5 actual bands to perform their songs again for the game. People should actually pay attention to what it says at the top of the screen before the song starts. Besides, complaining about the price of the game is ridiculus. There are more things to complain about other than game prices. Here’s an idea for ya….
you bought the game, DEAL WITH IT.

Do I have to play on Medium or Hard to get to Extreme’s Play With Me? I got this game and we played through on Easy then when I got to the song after 18 & Life on Medium it froze up. We tried it on my brother’s PS2 and it froze there so I am gonna exchange it. We just want to know if we should start right off on hard to play that song!

ok, 95% of you ppl need to stop complaining about encore. first of all.. if its a rip off, DONT BUY IT! it has awesome songs, not enough, but still great.
oh and for the idiots that say activision sucks.. well harmonix was the company who released all the GH’s and ROCKBAND! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK HEADS!
do some research, like Lily said, read what it says, its $50 cuz of copyright issues and the software they need, alose the musicians and celebs like she said.
if u like this game, GREAT so do i. but if not, get out of here, dont buy it. use your crap microsoft over sony. what have they done better besides halo? and they charge you to play online, so.. WANK!
