Firefall Gets a Public Beta Weekend Starting Jan. 25

Red 5 Studios’ upcoming jetpack-laced MMO Firefall is getting another open beta weekend this week, giving players access to PvE and PvP in the game for 48 glorious hours.

The beta test starts at 10 a.m. Pacific time on Jan. 25 (that’s Friday) and runs through 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 27. In that time, you can check out the game, and you can also enter to win Firefall swag and stuff from Razer over at the Firefall website.

Firefall has players taking on the roles of mercenaries after The Melding, which has turned indigenous animals into monsters. There’s also the Chosen, an alien enemy encroaching more and more on human territory. If you want to know more about Firefall, you should check out our impressions from its closed beta last year.

You can download the game client and preload Firefall right here.

Man, I’ve been the beta for a few months now, and I gotta say this game is something else. I started with a weekend beta, so if you think you might even slightly enjoy this game, you should absolutely try it out!
